    So far so good

I got this for my mom as a Christmas present and so far so good. My mom had a 30 year crockpot so I knew she liked the brand. We like that this one is better for travel with the locking lid. Also a nice feature to have a built in timer.

    Great slow cooker

Replaced a 15+ year old slow cooker. I love the digital controls and its heat ranges are very consistent. I have used it everyday since I received it. Lid with the latches takes a bit of getting use to but do love gasket that seals in the moisture.

    Fabulous product!

Needed to replace slow cooker I had that was teflon coated and all scratched up. This ceramic insert cleans easy.

    Love it

I purchased this to replace my old one that was on the fritz. I love the locking lid! My old one didn’t have one. The only thing I’ve complained about it after cooking meatballs I set it on “keep warm” and it stayed so hot that it burnt the meatballs. My fault for not checking, but other than that I love the crockpot!

    It’s a Crockpot !

Bought to replace a 40+ year old Crockpot. It runs a little hotter than others I’ve had, but it’s new and with time I know it will lose a bit of the heating ability and settle down. The warming feature is nice. Cord is shorter than my last one so I bought a one foot heavy duty extension cord.

    My favorite simple kitchen appliance.

Yes, we live in a world where you can buy 1 appliance that can magically function in 37 different ways and I love those items just as much as the next person. However, I consistently rely on this trusty thing more than all the others. This crackpot is simple and reliable! There is zero reading/researching/googling needed to produce a stress free and delicious meal! Wanting simple!? Buy this bad boy.

    Perfect gift!

My daughter’s Crock Pot broke after years of constant use. I told her I’d buy her another and she could choose the brand, style, and features. The main features she wanted was at least 6-quarts, a locking lid, and a timer. I found this one and she said, “That’s perfect!” She received it a couple weeks ago and has already used it several times.

    Great crockpot

Works as expected, but it does get hot. I had to back off some cooking time as it was boiling. So depending on what you are making, just watch towards the end of the cooking process.

    Crock handles

Crockpot worked well BUT has no handles on the crock in which to lift it out of the cooking pot. Had the crock filled with hot soup and it took two of us to get it out without burning ourselves.

This crock pot has everything I need in a crock pot and more. It is the perfect size for my family. My favorite part is the locking lid. I never knew how much I needed it in my life until using it. My favorite feature for sure.

NOT 6 QUART, only reason to lose a star

This is a 5 qt, not the 6 as advertised. It holds 20, not 24 cups of liquid. You would think being Amazon Choice it would be correct.Putting aside the false claims, it really is a great cooker. The “to go” version sacrifices the handles on the ceramic insert (that is due to straps holding the lid in place), but that is replaced with a digital timer which allows more flexibility on cooking times. Also the default goes to the “warm” mode after cooking is completed which IMHO is perfect. They have added a steam escape hole, which could also be used to insert a thermometer. I recommend it, just be aware of its true capacity.

    Sight changes

Gets pretty hot even on the low setting. The last one didn’t do that until it was older. They’ve also shortened the cord and removed the brackets to wrap it up. Timer feature is nice but I’d rather have the old version.

I made a full pot of chili in this, transported it to a pot luck supper, warmed it up there with no spills! The latches seem to work well, cleans up quickly!

    New design of handles

I have not use a slow cooker yet, but I read other reviews about there are no handles to pull the ceramic pot out of the cooker. This design is different than other slow cookers. There is a significant rubber grommet around the glass lid. The reason for a much larger rubber grommet is when you clip the lid onto the cooker you can use the handles on the outside of the cooker to take the entire cooker. The extra heavy rubber grommets are to ensure that while in transit, there are no spelling of contents. Most people are so used to a different version of this product and the complaints of not having proper handles is because they obviously are used to a different style. Personally, I think the way the glass lid is designed, I would rather just grab the entire cooker after I have secured the lid and take it to wherever I am going. I have not use this product yet as I have just received it. If the product fails for any reason, I will give an update to this review.

    HOT!

I bought another and sent it back to get this one for the timer feature. It is great that you can set it for a specific time and then it will switch over to warm. I have cooked 2 things so far and it has burnt both. And burnt it bad. Even though I set it on the correct time to cook. I cooked on low for 6 hours and it should have remained warm for about an hour until I got home. It was ruined. My old one did not do that even if I had to leave it cook on low am extra hour. I’m going to try and continue to use it but I will definitely experiment and lower cook times. Hopefully it will work correctly and I can use it.

    Good

I had mine since 2017, still going strong except accidentally broke the black ceramic pot. I pay d 35$ new- it’s now 130$!?. SoI bought a 35 manual to replace. The manual has less bells and whistles ( no timer, no locking lid) remains to be seen how it does.

    Easy to use

Make beef stew, pot roast, BBQ chicken and BBQ pork. Controls are easy to use and makes it simple to use. Can cook up a batch of whatever and put the extra in the fridge and/or freezer and eat later. It’s easy and convenient to use, and to clean. Works well for me and very happy with it.

Love my new Crockpot! I bought it as a replacement for the exact same one but my inner pot cracked. I could have just bought a replacement inner pot but it was actually more cost effective to buy a new one and I loved my old one so was happy to find the same one again.

    Low is not low…

First use was disappointing. After 4 hours the temperature had reached a boiling 214 degrees. Resulting in an overcooked pot roast. I have used this a few more times for soups and meals that do not require a truly low and slow approach and it was fine. The ceramic pot does not fit tightly inside the heat element and can slide from side to side. I try to keep it perfectly spaced to reduce the chance of hot spots. The lid fights well and is a nice feature. The controls are simple, easy to clean, and the digital timer is nice. However, I would not purchase again…

    Works as expected

I used this crock pot within a few days of getting it to be sure it worked properly. It did! I made beef stroganoff and it came out as it always has. The only con to this crock pot is that it was difficult to pick up. My old one had sort of handles (they were part of the pot that just extended a bit) on each side so that I had something to grab onto when I had to remove the pot. Otherwise, I like that I can set the timer and heat setting AND that I can watch how much time it has left. It did go to WARM after the timer finished. Overall, I like this crockpot.

    Excellent Slow Cooker! LOVE it!

UPDATE!You are not supposed to cook with the latches on the lid closed! It is much more powerful than traditional crock pots. Just about all my dishes are done in 2 hours. So incredibly easy to use and clean. It’s a lot more powerful than the older slow cookers so it will take some adjusting time. I’ve only made 1 thing and it’s possible I didn’t take a thing or two into consideration. Will know more as I get more experience. I love that it has latches. The latches are not hard. They click into place easily. This slow cooker is NOT anymore portable than any others. I was hoping the cord would be detachable but it is not. You will still have to worry about it. The handles are great but they’re only attached to the base. So you have to either carry the whole unit or like you used to and carry just the stoneware. No handles on the stoneware part. I love this slow cooker. I love even more that I got it for ~$8 (including the extra warranty) cuz of a gift card I had completely forgotten about and amazon kindly reminded me. They also reminded me of my Amazon Visa rewards points. Just excellent all around! Would still be worth the price even without all that.

    Great, simple programmable crockpot

This is my first crockpot, and after reading reviews I felt confident ordering this one. So far, I’ve made 3 meals in it and it’s worked great! I like being able to program the time I’d like, since I’m gone for long periods of time and get paranoid it won’t cook right. The only thing I notice is that if you leave it on the keep warm setting, it gets hotter than expected and almost seems like it will keep cooking the food! Maybe it runs hot or maybe it’s because I didn’t fill it all the way. But regardless, I’m happy with it! Also, get the plastic liners, thise are lifesavers and make for super easy cleanup!!

    The lid sucks.

Because the lid doesn’t fit properly this is very difficult to use. I even tried a lid from my old cooker but it too doesn’t fit. Really bad design. Very difficult to clean. If I wanted to replace the rubber gasket I wouldn’t be able to because it is attached permanently but only on one side of the gasket itself. Therefore, material can collect under the gasket making it extremely difficult to clean. Aside from not being able to seat properly during the cooking process.

    Works like a charm!

UPDATE: Feb. 17, 2015. I have used this Crock-Pot a dozen times since writing my review … and it gets better and better! I’ve made casseroles, breakfast dishes, beans, roast, ribs, Mexican food dishes – all just great (including the chicken/rice recipe with the rice cooked in the Crock-Pot)! The stoneware liner is easy to clean and food is NOT sticking to the sides or bottom. Warmer feature is super and it does not appear to be too hot. I found that when a cooking time range is given, such as 6-8 hours, I should probably go with the low or middle part of the range. For someone who actually HATES to cook, I’m becoming a regular Betty Crocker, and even experimenting, because cooking is SO easy with this appliance. I’m SO glad I made this purchase! Now … back to your regular programming with the original review …—————-I have an old Crock-Pot and it still works, but is too small for a roast, etc. So I got this one for two reasons: 1) bigger, 2) can program the time and temperature setting. I’ve only used it twice and, at this point, I am extremely satisfied. Should things change, I most definitely will update. The programmable feature is really nice because you can set the cooking temperature on LOW or HIGH and set the cooking time in 30-minute increments all the way up to 20 hours. Some other “programmable” slow cookers have a few time/temp combination options but they are quite limited – this one gives you total control. Once the programmed cooking time is finished, the Crock-Pot automatically turns to “warm.” The controls are touch (instead of turn dials) and very user-friendly. The user manual is small, but complete, and includes a couple recipes. My first dish: Breakfast Casserole (photo attached). Very tasty and the Crock-Pot worked perfectly. There was some extra browning around the edges so I probably need to adjust the cook time a bit … and you’ll have to do that with any slow cooker. Second dish: Hot Sausage Stew. Again, the appliance worked perfectly and the “warm” feature is great because the food finished cooking before I was ready to eat. Keep in mind: you may consider the “warm” temp to be hotter than you expect but that’s because of government regulations, not the Crock-Pot.This Crock-Pot holds a LOT of food! I’m cooking for just me so I put some in the fridge and the rest in smaller containers in the freezer. And since I truly hate to cook, this is the best way to keep me out of the kitchen but still have good food to eat.The food I prepared didn’t stick to the stoneware and it was super easy to clean. Just hot, soapy water and rinse. You can also put the stoneware and the glass lid in the dishwasher. I will probably never use the “carry” function but I did try the locked lid and the rubber seal is tight and should make it easy to take your dish to the potluck, etc. Just don’t lock the lid while you’re cooking!Bottom line: the ability to truly program the cooking time/temp … and the “warm” function … make this my top kitchen appliance (right along side my George Foreman grill). I’m actually looking for slow cooker recipes to try – and I can’t believe I’m doing that! My old Crock-Pot is at least 15 years old and that’s why I chose this brand. Because of the “computer” that allows the programming, I know the chances of it lasting that long are probably slim because the fancier you get, the more chances you have of something going wrong. But the price is right and, so far, I’m very happy with my purchase. Amazon shipping was fast and the slow cooker was packed in its original box with plenty of protection.

    Great crockpot!!!

My current crockpot lid was broken so i needed a new crockpot. I had had mine for 15 years. I was skeptical on another brand and a digital one but this product has been super great so far. (Have had it about 2 months) It’s pretty, I love the seal on the lid and the locking feature, it cooks really well and fast! There is one side that cooks faster but I’ve never had a crockpot that didn’t have one side like that. (I keep 2 crockpots at all times, my other is an older Hamilton Beach). This has really performed well for me as I use my crocks A LOT. The size is just like my other one, too. Can still make roasts and lots of other dishes. Very happy!

This is just perfect, large size allows for several meat items to be laid flat, and great for family size meals or for two people who want leftovers to eat or freeze. Just what I wanted, lightweight, love that the stoneware pot comes out for easy cleaning and the stoneware pot can even be used in the oven by itself! Love this size and locking lid. Great product.

    It’s HOOOOOT!!!

Made the mistake of “touching” the insert to confirm it was warming up on the “warm setting”. Gave me a 2nd degree burn. Boils food cooked on low setting. This thing is not a slow cooker by any means. It cools hot & fast. Makes me nervous to use with as hot as it gets.

    A Fantastic Appliance

This is my first Crock Pot, and I’m rather excited about it because I have seen so many videos on YouTube as to just how handy these things are. Since I did watch so many videos, the instruction sheet was almost unnecessary, though the sheet does give you hints and tips on cooking several things, as well as the all-important list of what NOT to do, such as, “Do not cook with the lid clamped down.” And while yes, there have been some who have complained that everything doesn’t fit together snugly, that is probably deliberate in its design. Contraction and expansion is pretty well known to most people by now. Plus, if the heat was constantly in direct contact with the stoneware, it may not be as efficient. A little breathing room can go a long way.The first thing I made was pulled Buffalo chicken, and while I have to admit that the Crock Pot did exude a “New” aroma, it still made a damn fine meal, and it didn’t taste like what I was smelling. After its first use, this “New” aroma was no longer present. It just needed some breaking in. Another great feature is that it automatically switches from cooking to warming mode when the cooking time expires. Personally, I think it would be nice to have an alarm when it goes from cooking to warming mode just so you know it’s done. And while it does get pretty hot to the touch, the handles are comfortably cool enough to lift and move this if necessary, even when this is at its hottest.Pros: It’s new, so I can’t say just how long it will actually last, but Crock Pot is the industry leader. They invented this, so I went with them. Let’s see what happens in 5 years. Its easy to set and forget. The fact that it automatically switches to warm mode when done is fantastic .The digital touch pad is great, but hopefully this won’t be a con later on. Only time will tell if the circuitry behind this will last the test of time. The lid can be locked down so you can transport this and its contents.Cons: It is a bit wobbly. There are two feet in the front, and one in the back. Really people? Who got paid for this “innovation?” Would it be so difficult for you to simply make it with two in the front, and two in the back!?! This is my only design complaint. If I could, I would give this 4 1/2 stars, but since I can’t, I’m rounding up and giving it 5 stars. Not really a con. Dummy me didn’t think that having something cooking on the counter would NOT draw my cats to it. They smell all that good stuff going on within, and they want in on it.MY BOTTOM LINE: It’s easily programmable, and it simply does what it is supposed to do. Who can ask for anything more? Oh wait, I can. A longer warranty would be appreciated, since it is only a one year warranty, and a more stable base. But other than that, I am very satisfied.

I’m enjoying this pot but it cooks quite hot

Lovely nice ceramic inner pot. Like the clamps quite well especially if you are taking a carry out dish. I believe it cooks quite hot so I consider low to be high. Did ribs which turned out fantastic on low for six hours. Finished them off with bbq sauce in the air fryer. Just did a curry with lots of sauce and it was boiling on low so I turned it off and just let it sit. I’m sure it will be fine but I would not leave it unattended for too long.Update. Upon testing the temperature on low in boiling sauce it was 202 degrees. The pot roast turned out extremely well. I added carrot slices the last hour. Curry was perfect too, I added the sweet red pepper during the last hour of cooking. So, I’m pretty pleased and will get a lot of use out of this pot. It’s a good size for medium to large size recipes.

Timer and temp controls are great, does not actually seal though..

I got this because I wanted a new slow cooker that had 2 major things that my old one did not have.1. a timer that when it hits zero would switch the cooker over to the keep warm setting without having the cooking modes restricted to certain times, and2. a locking, sealed lid, that would allow me to feasibly transport dishes in it without having to worry about spills. On the surface, this looks like it will do both of those things. Even when I had it in my hands the seal seemed robust and good enough to handle everything from stews to soups. I even tested by filling it with water and sloshing it around and had little to no leaks. However, when the crock is warmed up the results change I made a mulled apple cider in it to transport to my family’s Christmas gathering. I didn’t even make it out of my apartment before some had already spilled out of the lid. It only got worse from there. I tried to be more careful with it after that first spill, but nonetheless, I ended up with a trail of cider going to my car and later cider all over my floor mats which I thank the heavens are easy to clean rubber and not fabric. I expected *some* amount of spillage because no seal is 100% perfect. But it spilled almost if not just as much as my old crock pot.Thankfully the timer and heat controls work wonderfully. The 30-minute increments strike the right balance of having adjustability vs having to take forever to adjust to your desired cooking time. Otherwise, it would have been a huge waste of money. But if you’re buying this for the sealing feature, keep looking, this one ain’t it. I don’t know if it was caused by things being warmed up and that caused the seal to fail, but they really need to look into the design of it and fix that issue if they want to justify asking this much for it.
