    It sharpens but

    I bought this to sharpen my garden shears and pruners. But because of the way that it’s made, I have to disassemble my pruners in order to sharpen the blade. It was easier just to buy new pruners.

    Works good for a quick sharpen and go !

    The sharpener works well for newer mower blades that have a decent edge on them and works ok with a blade that was sharpened with a grinding wheel and the edge is beveled at the wrong angle.Other applications I have used it on were scissors and that sharpened them clean and super sharp. Also sharpened an axe and that was a good clean sharp edge on that too !

    Small learning curve, but it works

    There are YOUTUBE videos on using this sharpener. Take a look at them, then go slow. Pay attention to the arrows showing you which way to pull the tool through the sharpener. Also, buy a pair of cut resistant gloves. Larger garden tools are awkward. I would have cut my hand without the cut resistant gloves. The results I got on all shears and tools was good. The sharpener itself looks insubstantial, but it works.

    Top Service

    UPDATE: Seller messaged me and offered a full refund., something I did not expect. I haven’t used the sharpener again as yet, but this offer puts the company above most others. I would buy this again knowing their service.On the first use, on garden shears, the plastic got shaved as much as the blade. At this point I am not convinced that it is any better than using a rasp file. But it works. For the money, it’s alright.

    Not sure about it yet. Update below.

    I tried on only one knife and so far, it’s not working too well. The knife is a small, fixed blade by FROG and 440c steel. The pictures on the instructions and the video do not tell me how to achieve a 20 degree on the knife sharpening part either. Update11/5/2023. The company contacted me and asked me how they could help, and the result is going to be a refund. I will keep them in mind should I need more sharpening equipment in future. Edit: They have great customer service and really listened to my concerns. I gave another star for that.

    Versatile but not great on pruners

    I really wanted one sharpener for my pruners and hedge trimmers. Thought this was it. It’s great for so many things but the pruners tool is hard to use. It just doesn’t fit in the gap between the blades on my pruners. Good for other things in the garden but not pruners.Update: the seller responded proactively on this and while they can’t fix the actual product (as that would require a redesign) the response was good.

    Works Great!

    I needed something to sharpen my 4 lawn mower blades. In the past I’ve been using a file and that takes a while so I tried this. Best $20 spent on Amazon. They provided an instructional video on sharpening different blades and sharpened my 4 blades and it makes this process easier.Now I’ve sharpened our kitchen knives and they are sharp along with numerous scissors. Great product!

    Great except for scissors.

    I got this predominantly to sharpen my scissors frequently and also for garden pruners and sheets. I had had a different sharpener in the past that was perfect for that (must be discontinued). This works great unless your scissors or small tools won’t come apart. It’s difficult trying to get more than half/40% against the sharpening edge. My old tool had a slot specifically for scissors that maintained the angle and everything. This isn’t like that. I’m disappointed but it does work for other things.

    Versatile Sharpener

    I have used this to sharpen numerous knives, scissors, shears, axe and machete and it sure made a difference. Was about to throw some shears away due to dullness but this fixed them right up.Definitely recommend, good product and will sharpen almost anything you have that might need it.

    So far, so good!

    I like the way this is built. I’ve only used it for kitchen knives so far, but it works great. I wouild like a longer ceramic piece to finish. I plan to soon sharpen garden tools, a machete and my lawnmower blade when I get time. It looks like it will handle all of them. I particularly like the ergonomic design, large (*for larger hands) and easy to manipulate.

    This will do in a pinch but I feel like it won’t last long

    I had been waiting for the extremely over-priced electric sharpeners to come down in price before replacing the one I used to own. Well, the extremely over-priced sharpeners went from $75 up to $120+ recently. No thanks.So I bought this little piece of plastic with some sharpening stones on it.I used it to sharpen kitchen knives, scissors, and even an old beat up pair of garden shears with huge knicks in the blade. I had to take the large knicks out with a rasp. The sharpener itself did do a pretty nice job honing the edge afterward.So, it does the job — that’s a fact. My question is: how long will it last? It seems sturdy even though it is plastic. If it last me a few years, I will likely buy it again, unless the electric sharpener vendors stop gouging the market. Pun intended.

    Seems to work well but instructions are downright awful

    Seems to work well. Using it to sharpen mower blades.They really need to redo the instructions though. Even something as simple as an image of the item, numbering the parts and then listing the tools/items each part can sharpen would be a huge improvement.

    Met my Expectations

    When I first showed my girlfriend the sharpener, she thought it was a waste of money (because to her it looked like a cheaply made toy) until I sharpened several of her garden tools.She immediately pruned some trees and she was extremely impressed with how sharp her tools were, making it easy for her to get the job done!Kudos to this well made sharpener

    Versitility

    Overall I liked this “All-in-On” sharpener. It appears to be well designed and made. It combines the ability to sharpen a number of different items with just one sharpener tool. I have already used it to sharpen a variety of my shop/garden tools and for the most part it works well and puts a good sharp edge on most items.I didn’t give the sharpener a 5 star rating solely because I am not sure that it is robust enough to properly sharpen a mower blade that is really dull and/or has dings in the blade. If a mower blade is in this condition, I would recommend that the blade first be sharpened by hand with a good file in order to get a nice edge on the cutting parts of the blade and to remove any dings that may be on the blades. After this is done, I think that the Sharpal 103N can then be used to finish putting a good sharp edge on the mower blade(s). I also had a bit of a problem trying to sharpen smaller edged items, such as scissors. I could just not be holding the sharpener at the proper angle on the scissors cutting edges, so that just might be a learning curve on my part.As stated above, I have been able to get a nice sharp edge on most of my other tools, such as; machetes, axes and utility type knives. Overall I would recommend this sharpener as a good addition to your tool box.

    Does not seem to sharpen anything that well

    I used this on my hatchet, pruning shears, weed extractor and more. It does seem to clean the surface and make a nice, metallic edge, but I just did not notice an improvement. The tool does tell you which surface to use for the specific tool, which is nice. Aside from polishing the surface, I did not notice any improvement in the cutting ability of the tools I tried to sharpen. I did not try it on my mower blade based on my usage on other tools. I bought a mower blade sharpener that attaches to my drill because this thing does not seem to really sharpen, just polishes the surface. Your results may be different.[Edit] And yes, I did go over the surfaces many, many, many times. It just seemed to get to a point and then did nothing to further sharpen the tool. I really wish this worked as advertised. But the reality is very disappointing.

    unique easy to use sharpener

    very comfortable to handle. I used on multiple garden tools and the lawn mower blade with excellent results. It did work best on the loppers and the pruners. My lawn mower blade needed some filing first as it was nicked on the cutting edge. once the nicks were cleaned up, this sharpener made it easy to improve the enge.

    Worth the money!!!!!!

    As a weekend yard warrior I can say this is a tool everyone should have. Over the years I have used multiple sharpens for my mower blade, some better than other. But this one had by far been the best one I’ve ever found. Its fast, easy and most most importantly it works. When you consider it cost $5.00-$10.00 to have the local shop sharpen your blade this is well worth the money. In addition to the mower blade it did wonders on my trimmers and snips. I used them on some hedge trimmers that have gone through several seasons…never sharpened before. I few swipes with this and they were like new!!!!

    Sharpens every tool!!!

    We have two kitchen knives that seriously would not cut through a tomato. I sharpened both with this tool and was amazed. Cut through the tomato like a hot knife through butter. Sharpened my lawnmower blade and pruning shears. Haven’t tried the lawnmower blade yet but the pruning shears are like new. For the price and ease of use you can’t beat this tool!!

    Multi-use tested!

    I’ve cleaned up my kitchen knives very well, my pruning and limb clippers, moved on to my axe and even my machete! Always be cautious with the larger outdoor tools when cleaning them. I highly recommend instead of my old sanding stone method.

    Sharpal 103N All-in-1 Knife Garden Tool Multi-Sharpener is Awesome!

    I have sharpened my hand clippers, large clippers, and everything I cut with. It makes the job of cutting and working in the yard go faster, as it sharpens so you get whatever you are cutting with the first cut. It has so many purposes for all my sharpening needs. It is a must have.

    not for heavy use

    This is an ingenous product, but with regular use, wears out quickly. For instance, I used it to sharpen garden tools with large blades, and the plastic on either side of the sharpners quickly wore down
