Amazing customer service and great product.
The price is good and everything in the kit is of very decent quality, so you absolutely get value for money. It all arrives in a nice, sturdy, cardboard box. The instruction booklet is very thorough and easy to follow, even for beginners, and since they provide the right gardening tools, nothing is gonna stop me from growing a bonsai mini-forest 🤗I love the seed selection! Especially the wisteria is gonna make my day, every day.Realpetaled gave me the most awesome customer service I ever encountered, in any country. My bonsai set arrived without seeds. I wrote to them and they answered within 24 hours, informing me they would send the seeds. Soon after a complete new kit arrived!Unfortunately the Halloween ghosts must have played a trick on them, because it was not the bonsai kit, but a 6 Herbs Garden Starter Kit. I was skeptical, but please, stop browsing and buy this if you want a Bonsai Tree.
Let me tell you, this “REALPETALED” brand Bonsai Starter Kit is the real deal. As someone who has killed more plants than I care to admit, I was skeptical about the whole bonsai thing, especially after how negative of an experience my only prior attempt at bonsai was. But this kit exceeded all my expectations.First of all, the kit is high quality from top to bottom. The soil is rich and nutrient-dense, the pots are sturdy and well-made, and the little bonsai tools are adorable (and surprisingly effective). It’s like having your own personal bonsai nursery right in your home.But the real magic happened when I planted the seeds, followed the extremely comprehensive and well-written guidebook’s first few pages, and waited. And let me tell you, I didn’t have to wait long. Within only a week and a half, I was already seeing a beautiful sprout breaking through the soil (see my attached photo). I was like a proud parent watching my little bonsai baby grow.And can we talk about the seven different bonsai tree seeds that are included in the kit? It’s like a little bonsai forest in a box. And the best part? They actually grow! Great for beginners
I have been wanting to grow a bonsai tree for years. I tried a few years ago and wasn’t successful. These seeds are great. I was able to grow seeds immediately after planting them (after the 24H soak period). I haven’t tried all of the seeds yet as I’m running out of space in my home.However, I do believe this was a worthwhile purchase for beginners. Instructions are easy to follow as well. I will say that the purple wisteria seeds didn’t go so well the first go around. I’m waiting to see if this second round will produce anything. I wish there were more purple wisteria seeds. My kit brought about 5-7 seeds. The 24H soak on those seeds caused the seed to rot and get all mushy. Any advice on growing a purple wisteria bonsai would be very much appreciated. Some of the seeds are very difficult to hold for light scratching of the casing surface. Other than that, I’m looking forward to seeing what I’ve planted grow.Some of these plants grow very quickly. I recommend spraying water on the soil when watering versus soaking the soil as it is very easy to overwater plants. Best of luck!Update (11/18/23): still no luck with growing the wisteria. The seeds keep spoiling, even when planted in dry soil and watered regularly. I’m not sure how to proceed. This is one of the bonsais I was most looking forward to growing and am sad it’s not working out. 😕 would love any tips and/or tricks. I’ve read articles online to no avail.

not everything sprouted, but seems like a solid kit!
looking forward to trying the seeds again in the coming year, but the wisteria and jacaranda both sprouted and are growing very well! the soil pucks are a bit hydrophobic so i very much recommend mixing them with some proper potting soil or you’ll be watering pretty constantly, because it dries out VERY quickly and i’m sure that’s part of why not everything sprouted. both the wisteria and jacaranda do appear to be what they say they are tho, and are definitely growing! i wish the booklet had some more info on how to actually prune them in the bonsai style, but you can find all kinds of tutorials on youtube and other websites anyway so that’s a minor gripe. i’m so excited to have wisteria in particular!!

Great value, but could be better
As a beginner to bonsai, this kit is very appealing. The variety of seeds is spot on for what a lot of people gravitate toward for flashy bonsai trees. The only reason I didn’t rate this kit as a full 5 stars is because it’s targeted toward beginners like myself, but growing from seed, I’ve now learned, is a scary thing and doesn’t guarantee success.The seeds are delicate, and while the kit comes with instructions, they were fairly vague as to the treatment of the seeds. I destroyed the first few seeds attempting to follow the instructions of “remove the outer shell” only to realize that the intention isn’t to remove the ENTIRE shell. Totally my bad, but could happen to anyone who is excited to just get started. Luckily, they do warn you to save seeds in case of accidents or just bad seeds that don’t germinate, so I still have extras to try again.I do appreciate that the kit comes with plenty of soil and the different pots per plant including little signs to keep them organized. The instruction booklet is filled with other instructions to help after the seeds start to grow. For more advanced green thumbs, it is a solid kit, but I only suggest that beginners carefully do their research before getting started, even with a kit 🙂

Decent starter kit.
I really like this set with the seeds. The tools are good quality too. The pots are plastic, of course. The seeds were not dated, that’s why it gets the four stars. The Jacaranda, Sophora and the Delonix germinated fine though. Within 2 weeks. I’m still waiting on the others to come up after stratification.

Great starter kit
I give this 2 stars because I think it’s a good starter kit. It’s nice cause you get the bonsai pots and trays, plus you get the tools along with it. However, I deducted 3 star because out of all the seeds planted, only three came up. I followed the booklets that also comes with it. I followed the directions and waited the normal time frame for the seeds to sprout but was only disappointed. I don’t know if waiting months before giving up on seedlings, but all that came from waiting came nothing. The 3 seedlings I did get are strong and healthy. I just wish more of the variety of trees would have grown. I’m just have to buy more seeds separately. Good thing you get what you do with the kits. Some of the seeds are just about the same price as this kit. But there sure are a lot of other varieties. I look forward tho to watching my little seedlings grow.

Helpful Guidebook, Seeing Sprouts
I planted seeds for four species 11 days ago. Two of which have sprouted, and I think the reason I am not seeing more is user error as I need to have a more controlled climate. Fortunately, I have plenty more seeds from the kit to try again. The kit is very nice, and booklet is very informative.

Sadly Disappointing
One out of six isn’t bad…Wait, actually one out of six is quite terrible… That’s the number of these seeds that actually sprouted. It appears most of the seeds included with this kit are not viable. I have a good green thumb and have been growing many various things my whole life so I’m not a beginner. The only seeds I could get to germinate were the Sophora Japonica the rest (not including the Japanese Red Maple which hasn’t started yet) simply refuse to sprout. The kit overall isn’t bad with the tools, planters and the rest at that price, however it’s just pretty sad when it’s all good but the seeds, which without them being good, defeats the entire purpose of the kit.

This is great for beginner!!!
I’ve never had a green thumb but this is great! My boyfriend and I got this because we’ve always wanted to have a bonsai tree and it was a fun couple activity thing to do! The instruction manual is very detailed and fool proof. One of my seeds started to grow mold on it due to moisture. I would’ve thought it was a dud but the manual told me to just scrape it off and it should be fine and it started growing right after. This is what it looks like after a week and a half. I wasn’t expecting it to grow so quickly. My boyfriend and I always get excited when we see growth. It’s highly recommended to buy this!!! It’s great for the price too!

Soak the seeds first 24 hours and prep soil in advance
Product was nicely packaged, I soak the earth and seeds separately for 30 hours. I have pealed the Luther layers of the large seeds gently. I have germinated them in moist paper towel for another 24 h and at Day#4 some were already sprouting. I will update as I go. And FYI remember what is what you will need more pots😂.

Great starter kit
I was looking around at different bonsai starter kits and decided to go with this one since it seemed to give you the most bang for your buck.The price was good and you get 7 containers along with 7 different types of seeds, and I was looking for one that gave the most. It comes with a little instruction booklet which actually (to me) gave good detailed directions on how to get things going for this which I was happy about. Each packet of seeds has information/instructions on the back of them as well.The only thing I did different is I am using starter pods for the seeds to try and get as many growing as I can. I am excited to see where this hobby leads and I will update with more pictures once they actually start to sprout. I would definitely recommend this kit for anyone who is interested in plants or just to get into planting.

This comes with extra seeds , extra dirt pods, I soaked 5 and they filled up all 7 trays. So I have two for use later. One thing I thought was odd instructions did not say how to trim the bonsai once it got growing. I’m hopeful they will grow.

The All In One Bonsai starter kit makes bonsai growing and care a breeze!
This is my first experience growing a Bonsai tree from a seed. The kit made the process simple and fun! Everything you need is included in the kit. It even comes with an instruction guide that has useful information about the planting process as well as general information on the individual bonsai trees! I just hope my Bonsai has strong root, otherwise I’m back to rope climbing with Mr. Miyagi! I’m looking forward to having my very own tiny bonsai forest.

Good beginner set
This is my first bonsai set, and I couldn’t be happier. I had many sprouts, a bunch of them died at one point, but I think that is my fault. I re-planted seeds, and I have even more sprouts. Great beginners package it comes with everything you need from the pots to the soil, to instructions that tell you exactly what you need to do. If there’s anything you’re unsure of you can just Google because tons of people do bonsai. In the last photo, you can see that I moved away from using the containers that came in the box but that’s primarily because I got tired of having to remove the plastic bags to water them. Plastic bags over the top of them create a greenhouse effect and help them grow. But apart from that everything was fantastic, I saw plenty of seeds to sow with this point to.

Ficus or shake weed?
I did one round of sowing seed and only 1 seems to have come out and thrived. Could just have been bad luck or maybe I messed up scratching the surface of the seed, idk. I just did. Second round so if those come out I’ll update this review.One thing I’m skeptical of is the Ficus seeds I received… it looks like just a bag of dirt, where all the other seeds look like actually seeds. Couldn’t find any photos online of what they should actually look like to confirm but perhaps they are just so small it’s the only way to harvest them. To me, it just looks like pulverized dirt or shake weed if you know what I mean lol.

Patience is all you need
Each of the seeds require different types of germination periods. Some will grow some will not. All in all it’s a great kit for a beginner. I bought some better soil to mix with the soil they sent and had a better turn out with new sprouts. Had an issue and customer service was very helpful so I’d wait before posting a bad review and contact customer service first.

Overall worth it.
I had a few sprout really quick, they are growing well. Overall it was worth it. May have to retry with the other ones, but luckily there are plenty of seeds left to do that.

Amazing customer service and great product.
The price is good and everything in the kit is of very decent quality, so you absolutely get value for money. It all arrives in a nice, sturdy, cardboard box. The instruction booklet is very thorough and easy to follow, even for beginners, and since they provide the right gardening tools, nothing is gonna stop me from growing a bonsai mini-forest 🤗I love the seed selection! Especially the wisteria is gonna make my day, every day.Realpetaled gave me the most awesome customer service I ever encountered, in any country. My bonsai set arrived without seeds. I wrote to them and they answered within 24 hours, informing me they would send the seeds. Soon after a complete new kit arrived!Unfortunately the Halloween ghosts must have played a trick on them, because it was not the bonsai kit, but a 6 Herbs Garden Starter Kit. I love growing herbs, but I also want to try my hand at bonsai.So I wrote to them again. I received sincere apologies and the same swift service. I was skeptical, but please, stop browsing and buy this if you want a Bonsai Tree.
Let me tell you, this “REALPETALED” brand Bonsai Starter Kit is the real deal. As someone who has killed more plants than I care to admit, I was skeptical about the whole bonsai thing, especially after how negative of an experience my only prior attempt at bonsai was. But this kit exceeded all my expectations.First of all, the kit is high quality from top to bottom. The soil is rich and nutrient-dense, the pots are sturdy and well-made, and the little bonsai tools are adorable (and surprisingly effective). It’s like having your own personal bonsai nursery right in your home.But the real magic happened when I planted the seeds, followed the extremely comprehensive and well-written guidebook’s first few pages, and waited. And let me tell you, I didn’t have to wait long. Within only a week and a half, I was already seeing a beautiful sprout breaking through the soil (see my attached photo). Great for beginners
I have been wanting to grow a bonsai tree for years. I tried a few years ago and wasn’t successful. These seeds are great. I was able to grow seeds immediately after planting them (after the 24H soak period). I haven’t tried all of the seeds yet as I’m running out of space in my home.However, I do believe this was a worthwhile purchase for beginners. Instructions are easy to follow as well. I will say that the purple wisteria seeds didn’t go so well the first go around. I’m waiting to see if this second round will produce anything. I wish there were more purple wisteria seeds. My kit brought about 5-7 seeds. The 24H soak on those seeds caused the seed to rot and get all mushy. Any advice on growing a purple wisteria bonsai would be very much appreciated. Some of the seeds are very difficult to hold for light scratching of the casing surface. Other than that, I’m looking forward to seeing what I’ve planted grow.Some of these plants grow very quickly. I recommend spraying water on the soil when watering versus soaking the soil as it is very easy to overwater plants. Best of luck!Update (11/18/23): still no luck with growing the wisteria. The seeds keep spoiling, even when planted in dry soil and watered regularly. I’m not sure how to proceed. This is one of the bonsais I was most looking forward to growing and am sad it’s not working out. 😕 would love any tips and/or tricks. I’ve read articles online to no avail.

not everything sprouted, but seems like a solid kit!
looking forward to trying the seeds again in the coming year, but the wisteria and jacaranda both sprouted and are growing very well! the soil pucks are a bit hydrophobic so i very much recommend mixing them with some proper potting soil or you’ll be watering pretty constantly, because it dries out VERY quickly and i’m sure that’s part of why not everything sprouted. both the wisteria and jacaranda do appear to be what they say they are tho, and are definitely growing! i wish the booklet had some more info on how to actually prune them in the bonsai style, but you can find all kinds of tutorials on youtube and other websites anyway so that’s a minor gripe. i’m so excited to have wisteria in particular!!

Great value, but could be better
As a beginner to bonsai, this kit is very appealing. The variety of seeds is spot on for what a lot of people gravitate toward for flashy bonsai trees. The only reason I didn’t rate this kit as a full 5 stars is because it’s targeted toward beginners like myself, but growing from seed, I’ve now learned, is a scary thing and doesn’t guarantee success.The seeds are delicate, and while the kit comes with instructions, they were fairly vague as to the treatment of the seeds. I destroyed the first few seeds attempting to follow the instructions of “remove the outer shell” only to realize that the intention isn’t to remove the ENTIRE shell. Totally my bad, but could happen to anyone who is excited to just get started. Luckily, they do warn you to save seeds in case of accidents or just bad seeds that don’t germinate, so I still have extras to try again.I do appreciate that the kit comes with plenty of soil and the different pots per plant including little signs to keep them organized. The instruction booklet is filled with other instructions to help after the seeds start to grow. For more advanced green thumbs, it is a solid kit, but I only suggest that beginners carefully do their research before getting started, even with a kit 🙂

Decent starter kit.
I really like this set with the seeds. The tools are good quality too. The pots are plastic, of course. The seeds were not dated, that’s why it gets the four stars. The Jacaranda, Sophora and the Delonix germinated fine though. Within 2 weeks. I’m still waiting on the others to come up after stratification.

Great starter kit
I give this 2 stars because I think it’s a good starter kit. It’s nice cause you get the bonsai pots and trays, plus you get the tools along with it. However, I deducted 3 star because out of all the seeds planted, only three came up. I followed the booklets that also comes with it. I followed the directions and waited the normal time frame for the seeds to sprout but was only disappointed. I don’t know if waiting months before giving up on seedlings, but all that came from waiting came nothing. The 3 seedlings I did get are strong and healthy. I just wish more of the variety of trees would have grown. I’m just have to buy more seeds separately. Good thing you get what you do with the kits. Some of the seeds are just about the same price as this kit. But there sure are a lot of other varieties. I look forward tho to watching my little seedlings grow.

Helpful Guidebook, Seeing Sprouts
I planted seeds for four species 11 days ago. Two of which have sprouted, and I think the reason I am not seeing more is user error as I need to have a more controlled climate. Fortunately, I have plenty more seeds from the kit to try again. The kit is very nice, and booklet is very informative.

Sadly Disappointing
One out of six isn’t bad…Wait, actually one out of six is quite terrible… That’s the number of these seeds that actually sprouted. It appears most of the seeds included with this kit are not viable. I have a good green thumb and have been growing many various things my whole life so I’m not a beginner. The only seeds I could get to germinate were the Sophora Japonica the rest (not including the Japanese Red Maple which hasn’t started yet) simply refuse to sprout. The kit overall isn’t bad with the tools, planters and the rest at that price, however it’s just pretty sad when it’s all good but the seeds, which without them being good, defeats the entire purpose of the kit.

This is great for beginner!!!
I’ve never had a green thumb but this is great! My boyfriend and I got this because we’ve always wanted to have a bonsai tree and it was a fun couple activity thing to do! The instruction manual is very detailed and fool proof. One of my seeds started to grow mold on it due to moisture. I would’ve thought it was a dud but the manual told me to just scrape it off and it should be fine and it started growing right after. This is what it looks like after a week and a half. I wasn’t expecting it to grow so quickly. My boyfriend and I always get excited when we see growth. It’s highly recommended to buy this!!! It’s great for the price too!

Soak the seeds first 24 hours and prep soil in advance
Product was nicely packaged, I soak the earth and seeds separately for 30 hours. I have pealed the Luther layers of the large seeds gently. I have germinated them in moist paper towel for another 24 h and at Day#4 some were already sprouting. I will update as I go. And FYI remember what is what you will need more pots😂.

Great starter kit
I was looking around at different bonsai starter kits and decided to go with this one since it seemed to give you the most bang for your buck.The price was good and you get 7 containers along with 7 different types of seeds, and I was looking for one that gave the most. It comes with a little instruction booklet which actually (to me) gave good detailed directions on how to get things going for this which I was happy about. Each packet of seeds has information/instructions on the back of them as well.The only thing I did different is I am using starter pods for the seeds to try and get as many growing as I can. I am excited to see where this hobby leads and I will update with more pictures once they actually start to sprout. I would definitely recommend this kit for anyone who is interested in plants or just to get into planting.

Very nice kit.
This comes with extra seeds , extra dirt pods, I soaked 5 and they filled up all 7 trays. So I have two for use later. One thing I thought was odd instructions did not say how to trim the bonsai once it got growing. I’m hopeful they will grow.

The All In One Bonsai starter kit makes bonsai growing and care a breeze!
This is my first experience growing a Bonsai tree from a seed. The kit made the process simple and fun! Everything you need is included in the kit. It even comes with an instruction guide that has useful information about the planting process as well as general information on the individual bonsai trees! I just hope my Bonsai has strong root, otherwise I’m back to rope climbing with Mr. Miyagi! I’m looking forward to having my very own tiny bonsai forest.

Good beginner set
This is my first bonsai set, and I couldn’t be happier. I had many sprouts, a bunch of them died at one point, but I think that is my fault. I re-planted seeds, and I have even more sprouts. Great beginners package it comes with everything you need from the pots to the soil, to instructions that tell you exactly what you need to do. If there’s anything you’re unsure of you can just Google because tons of people do bonsai. In the last photo, you can see that I moved away from using the containers that came in the box but that’s primarily because I got tired of having to remove the plastic bags to water them. Plastic bags over the top of them create a greenhouse effect and help them grow. But apart from that everything was fantastic, I saw plenty of seeds to sow with this point to.

Each tray is perfect for seedlings, the compost/soil pucks are perfect potting mix, and fill each tray well. There are 7 different seed options- and enough trays and soil to start all types should you choose to do so!This is a beautifully put together kit with everything you need to start bonsai.

Ficus or shake weed?
I did one round of sowing seed and only 1 seems to have come out and thrived. Could just have been bad luck or maybe I messed up scratching the surface of the seed, idk. I just did. Second round so if those come out I’ll update this review.One thing I’m skeptical of is the Ficus seeds I received… it looks like just a bag of dirt, where all the other seeds look like actually seeds. Couldn’t find any photos online of what they should actually look like to confirm but perhaps they are just so small it’s the only way to harvest them. To me, it just looks like pulverized dirt or shake weed if you know what I mean lol.

Patience is all you need
Each of the seeds require different types of germination periods. Some will grow some will not. All in all it’s a great kit for a beginner. I bought some better soil to mix with the soil they sent and had a better turn out with new sprouts. Had an issue and customer service was very helpful so I’d wait before posting a bad review and contact customer service first.

Overall worth it.
I had a few sprout really quick, they are growing well. Overall it was worth it. May have to retry with the other ones, but luckily there are plenty of seeds left to do that.
