Perfect rice every time
This is one really great little rice maker. Fill rice and water to preset lines, flip the switch and the rice is perfect every time. It’s a bit too small for soups and stews unless you’re cooking for one.

I can cook anything in the whole wide world except rice. This looks like it would barely hold anything, but it makes 4 cups and is AMAZING!! I’ve made all kinds of rice and even orzo perfectly. I will never live without a rice cooker ever again. It is not a luxury, it is a necessity

Makes 2 cups of uncooked rice perfectly
We made sure to read that this makes only 2 cups of uncooked rice, so not too much. It works perfectly and when I need more, I just plan on making a quick second batch. Size is perfect since we now only need 1-2 cups at a time. Does not take up too much space.

Aroma 1quart rice cooker
I rarely eat rice but I do make my dogs’ soft food and generally use brown rice as one ingredient and found that I could never make rice right, so I bought this. Well, I like the idea, but in this case I can’t give more than an average rating. The main thing is that it makes a huge mess (well, as huge as a tiny little pot can make), so it is necessary to place the little cooker on something that can contain the mess or just resolve to scrub the counter after it finishes.I believe it does the job it is intended to do though, so I kept it. If I made a lot of rice I would have returned it, but I probably don’t use it more than once a month, so … The instructions indicate it can be used for other grains, but I haven’t used it for anything but rice yet. It does seem to make the bottom layer of rice a bit crunchy, but the dogs don’t mind. It is very easy to clean however; the cooking pot can go in the dishwasher, as can the lid. The exterior of the cooking unit itself is easy to wipe down.I don’t know if the fault with this little unit is mine or if it is simply so small that it just makes a mess. Maybe others will have better luck. I don’t think I would buy this if I cooked a lot of rice, but for my purposes, it is fine. However, had I known about the mess BEFORE I bought it, I would have bought a different rice cooker.

Convenient
Love my little rice cooker. Nice design, small and nicely made. Simple to use. I wish it had a power disconnect when the rice is done cooking, otherwise it can get brown on the bottom if you don’t disconnect the heat. But it frees up your stovetop and I’ll use it forever.

Great for one person
I used this for the first time today. Was very hesitant about making brown rice but it cooked up beautifully! I’ve had bigger Aroma rice cookers in the past but now that it’s just me and a tiny apartment I needed something smaller. Great size, cleans up easily and so convenient!

New favorite gadget
Honestly as a single person in an apartment I stress too much about cooking for myself on a regular basis.My full sized rice cooker recently broke and I decided to take a chance on this one and omg. It’s perfect for apartment living. It makes 1-2 cups of rice at a time, it’s just a simple “cook” and “warm” switch.Nothing fancy in the slightest, but I wanted simple. Could not recommend more, great portions for myself and another person if needed, easy clean up, small for storage, and perfect rice every time.

Nice budget rice cooker
This works the same as other aroma rice cookers. It makes plenty of rice for 2 to 4 people and requires almost no oversight while it does its thing. Since its cycle can take about 15 minutes, I usually set it when i start cooking and its often done just before I finish — depending on whats for dinner of course. Just make sure that you unplug it shortly after the rice is cooked, leaving it plugged in will leave its “warming” setting on and in the past that has caused mine to burn to the bottom. Speaking of which, cleaning the insert is super easy! Fill it with water and let it sit, then all that residue will come right off. It’s also dishwasher safe!

Smaller Than Expected but Great Value for the Price!
The cup you get with this is actually around 2/3 of a regular 1 cup measure. With that in mind I filled the included cup twice with jasmine rice then rinsed it three times in cold water. Next, I filled the pot with water exactly up to the 2 line and turned it on. After about 20 minutes the light switched from cook to warm indicating the finished. At that point I unplugged the cooker to see how well it cooked the rice. I found the rice was perfectly cooked for the most part with no crust at the bottom of the pot. There were some mushy and broken bits of rice here and there but that could most likely the rice I used rather than the cooker. Overall I found the rice texture better than what I get on the stove. In regards to comments about the pot making a small mess on the counter, I can see how that could happen if I had added the full amount. Other than that I am pleased.

Perfect single person rice cooker.
This is a great purchase for someone living in a dorm or an elderly person that lives by themselves and likes rice. This is great I can make just enough rice for meat for a dinner and don’t have to worry about large amounts of leftovers. It’s the perfect size and makes the perfect amount of rice just for me. I had someone ask if they can borrow it one time and I said nope not going to happen. I’m very selfish would have comes to this little rice cooker LOL. I love it and my friend that wanted to borrow it I bought them one for Christmas.

The measuring lines on the black inner pot are hard to read, works great otherwise
I really like the Aroma small rice cooker with one complaint. It works great mostly. I like how I don’t have to rinse the rice first. The measuring lines in the pot are hard to see because the lining is black. In the past, I owned Aroma pots with light gray linings and I could see the measuring lines just fine. The attached picture shows the measuring lines much better than how I can actually see them. I believe there are measuring lines in the cup, but they are super hard to see. When I make rice, I just fill up the cup with rice, pour it in, and make my best guess where the bottom line is in the pot. Sometimes I don’t get it right and have to add more water later.

Spews water through steam hole
Works just fine and cooks great rice, but the steam hole splatters the counter around it. We cook mixed rice which has a purplish color so it leaves purple splotches all over the counter and wall

Convenient and compact
I’m so glad I got this rice cooker. I eat white rice often so this just makes it easy to put the rice in and focus on the other parts of the meal. I also don’t have a lot of space in my kitchen for appliances but this is small and compact enough to put in a cupboard. Also love that it comes in pink!

Easy rice
Finally I can make good rice and it’s so easy. I was hesitant to buy this since my kitchen is somewhat small and I hate having a million little appliances. However, after an air fryer, this is by far the best small appliance I’ve ever owned. It also makes decent oatmeal. If rice is a staple of your diet you won’t regret getting this

Perfect size and easy to use/clean
The media could not be loaded.
This is going to be perfect for me. I received it yesterday and cleaned it and read all the instructions and used it today for the 1st time.I made quinoa and I used mostly bone broth and some water To the specifications listed in the little booklet… 1 part grain and 1 1⁄2 parts liquid. It overflowed. Quinoa and broth all over the counter and it was still a little too moist for my preference So I left it on warm for another 15 or 20 minutes as the instructions suggest and it was perfect.The clean up of the bowl and lid were very easy and I will try it again in a couple of days when I need to make more – using less of both grain and liquid.It could very well deserve 5 stars but since my 1st go was a little messy I’ll have to rerate it once I figure it out.UPDATE: I used the measuring cup provided again and tried it with brown rice and it overflowed again. It is actually spitting at me now. 😆 Still think it’s going to be right for me but I will use smaller quantities of rice and liquid than recommended

The little cooker that does
This is a perfect size rice cooker for smaller meals, simple to use and to clean. Only small issue is the water level can rise and bubble over the lid a tad bit but nothing extreme. I recommend, good value for the price.

Small
Good little cooker, my only problem is it’s only really good for 1 cup of rice at a time. Even though you can technically make more, its not a good idea. The unit is small, and no matter how well you wash your rice before to reduce the starch, it’s still going to foam up, and with the lid on will boil over though the hole and anything more and you’re looking at an overflow for sure. Otherwise, it cooks the rice perfectly to the way I like it. Big help, should have gotten a rice cooker long ago.

easy to use but undercooks sometimes
i got this since i usually just make food for myself and don’t have much space. this works great most times and gets the job done but sometimes it undercooks the rice sometimes. not a huge deal since i just leave it or for longer just something to keep in mind. this ricer cooker probably only has enough capacity for 2 side rice portions, maybe 2.5. i never eat my rice by itself, its always a side so i wouldn’t recommend for a family.

Perfect for one or two servings
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve used this little rice cooker. It’s perfect.I cannot eat gluten, so I eat a lot of rice, but I don’t like to have lots of cooked rice on hand. This is perfect for throwing in a serving of rice for lunch or dinner.My only very minor complaint is that even with only a half cup of rice, the bubbles will come out of the lid and the lid will be extra gross when you clean it. It’s not a huge deal, and it’s not getting rice water on the counter, but it’s something to be aware of.I’d also love if there was an interface to show how long until the rice is done, but you get what you pay for, and this works as a rice cooker.
