Countertop ice maker is life changing!
My husband and I debated about getting one for months, we are so glad we did!It holds about a quart of water and makes bullet shaped ice. It makes it super quick and fills rather quickly.We freeze a lot of foods so we don’t have room in our freezer for ice trays. We used silicone ones to help save space but then they would just get squished. We purchased this ice maker and everything changed!We now use it daily, even in winter. We drink more water because of it. I keep a reusable water bottle on me daily and at work and I love this because I drink more water when it’s cold.It is also helpful when I need ice when making pickles and such. I just add ice as it is made to help keep things cold.We usually keep a gallon water jug next to it so that it is easy to refill.It keeps the ice cool not cold, so it will melt into the reservoir and when there is too little ice it kicks in to make more. I like this feature so I don’t worry about the mechanism freezing up.The bonus is the little ice scoop so that it prevents dirty fingers getting into the ice and water. This helps keep the water reservoir clean so that nothing gets lodged in the tubes.We use the auto cleaning method once every few months and it is simple, runs itself then I just drain the water into the sink and start again.

So far, so good…
It is great to have a good amount of ice in a day. I like having the machine a lot better than having ice cube trays. It makes a surprising amount of ice in one day. I like the size of the cubes, and when they are stored in the freezer, they are easy to break apart. The only slight problem is that dirt can get in the machine, and it is slightly annoying to clean. It is simplicity itself to operate. It doesn’t make much noise. I’m very happy with the purchase.

Not bad, but not great
Been using this for a couple months or so and at first it was very quiet, but now is a bit noisier. Works fine, makes ice quickly. It’s very small, so only makes enough ice for about 2 16oz glasses, which is fine for me.A bit of annoyance is when the basket is full, the light goes on and it won’t make any more ice until it either melts below the sensor or I push the ice down into the basket. I think the sensor is a bit too sensitive as if there is even a tiny bit of ice in the sensor, it stops making ice leaving you with a bunch of half melted slushy ice bits.I always have to keep an eye on the water level, though as I go through a lot of ice and have to refill it at least twice a day. It has an indicator light for when it needs refilling, however I’ve only seen it light up once. The only way I know to refill (between times i check it) it is when it makes a whiney noise. The water level is very low, and the light should come on, but it doesn’t. Does the water level need to be so low that the water pump starts overheating and seizing up before it’ll light up? Maybe the one i have is defective? 🤔 I’ll keep using it despite all the above, I just think there is room for improvement in its functioning.

Great ice maker
Unfortunately I have a Samsung fridge which are notorious for failing ice makers. Instead of throwing away yet another $120 on a new unit for the fridge (would have been the 3rd in 5 years) I went with this unit and have been very happy with this unit. It makes ice quickly, is easy to use, and quiet. No complaints or concerns so far.

This thing works great! Got it yesterday, washed it as instructed, and allowed it to sit upright for two hours as recommended. Started it up. First few batches were very thin, but as it got colder etc the ice was getting thicker and thicker. After about five batches it was good solid ice. Have run the machine for roughly 12 hours so far in total (with periods of being off in between). Have been emptying the basket into our ice bin in the freezer every batch or two since this machine does not keep the ice cold once produced. Our ice bin is filling up nicely despite the fact that we have already used quite a bit of ice. This is great. Our freezer’s ice maker broke and this is an excellent substitute thus far. Hoping it continues to work as it is.

Pretty good
Seems to work good. I had one issue in the first day when the ice cubes fell behind the basket and the ice cube lift couldn’t figure out what to do so it just stopped working. Plus the scooper is a little wonky with the small basket that the ice lands, not impossible to use but just not the best design.

Lasted one year three mos
Ours died after a year and three months with a “Needs Water” error. . I’d say that’s not great BUT nothing is made to last these days. And I was hoping to get more than six months out of it so I guess it was a win. It worked well while it worked and only needed an occasional reset and vinegar rinse every 2-3 months (I’m probably going to do this once a month with the next one.). The price has gone down since 2022 so I’m just gonna order another one.

Self cleaning
The shipping was even faster then they said it would arrive I got this yesterday 11/1/23. I cleaned it all out twice it had a plastic smell to it but it came out the second time around. It has a choice of large or small cubes. I got red to match my other kitchen appliances. The only thing I had to put together was the ice basket handle to the basket itself 3 seconds and it was all ready to use. And the handle that goes on top 3 more seconds lol. With this ice maker it takes about 7 minutes to make 9 ice cubes only 7 minutes!! The best part of this ice maker is it’s self cleaning!! The only time you hear anything from this ice maker is when the ice cubes drop other then that I have ran over to make sure it was still working. You don’t have to put water in this machine every time it makes ice, just when it’s out of water and the light comes on when you need to add more water. You need a place big enough because it does need 4 inches on each side for the airflow. I love this ice maker. So easy to use and set up you do need to let it right side up for one hour after you unpack it to let everything settle to the bottom. I’m thinking the coolant in the ice maker. Don’t overfill the water tank. This would be great for a gift I will buy again if I need to down the road. You get a great ice maker for a good price tag. I would give this a 10 star rating if available. If you need an ice maker I would happily to you this is just for you.

Very nice! Compact, easy to use. It is a bit loud, small mini fridge level. The first pic is what came out in 5 min. The last pic is a full basket in a 50oz container . I use spring water from the store and careful not to get the inside dirty. The reservoir is good for about 4 baskets full. A great purchase after getting tired of filling ice cube trays.

Pretty good
This ice-maker works. It creates a small batch of ice within an hour of being plugged in. In sum, it does what it’s supposed to do.What I would’ve wanted to know before I bought is that you have to empty the batches of ice pretty often. It fills up quickly and you have to move the ice to the freezer or it starts melting. Also, the ice is pretty small. And the machine itself is kinda noisy.Overall, it makes ice quickly so 4 stars.

Great little ice maker
This ice maker is great, it does a great job making ice. The first few times it runs the ice is pretty wet and small but by the third time around the machine is colder and the ice is bigger and harder. I run this about once a week and make about two bags of ice. Would definitely recommend this ice machine. It’s very small and very quiet to which is nice. A definite must have.

I Love this thing
I live in a tiny house with a mini fridge but I live on iced tea. I was skeptical about how this would work but it turns out it is wonderful. It takes about 10 minutes for the first cubes to make and only makes about 8 at a time but then it kicks out about 8 every five minutes or so. It’s just me so it makes plenty. When I fill my insulated cup I turn the machine off. It’s amazing. And fits me and my tiny house perfectly.

Works great, but not quiet
I bought this model because I wanted nugget-style ice and something small enough to tuck under my kitchen cabinets. The ice quality is great and perfect for crunching if that’s your thing. My biggest complaint is the noise level. It had gotten reasonable reviews for noise but I’m not sure why. It’s louder than any other appliance I have in my house. There is no possible way I’d be able to leave it on at night- way too noisy. It isn’t hair dryer or leaf blower loud, but it’s closer to that than say my dishwasher or washing machine. If noise level is important, this isn’t for you.

Pros and cons
We live in a tiny outdated apartment. Our fridge does not have an ice maker and I hate ice trays, so we purchased this countertop unit. Overall, it is great! Makes ice really fast and is a nice addition to the kitchen. The only con is that it is very loud. It is loud when it runs the water. It is loud when it drops the ice. Everything it does is loud. It scares my small children and the sound of the machine wakes my husband and I up during the night. Like I said, it’s a great ice maker. I just wish it was a little more quiet.

We full time in our RV and I use my ice maker daily and have worn out 3 Kenmore ones in 2.5 yrs ( those are big, heavy and bulky ) I have to have and use tons of ice a day. 90+oz a day but it has to be ice cold lolThis one is smaller, lighter and perfect size. Please know it’s plastic and small. But, I frickin love it. It makes ice quick and I just make sure I keep the water line filled each time I take ice out. The price was amazing and keeps up with my serious ice needs. It’s a little magic ice machine that I’m in love with. It does keep the ice in the basket frozen but I don’t know for how long lol it does stay frozen over night so I do have ice in the morning.

Excellent ice maker
When the ice maker in my refrigerator gave up the ghost, I was contemplating buying a new refrigerator. However, that seemed extremely wasteful when everything else about the refrigerator and freezer was working fine. I began investigating ice makers, and the reviews for this product were wonderful. So, I ordered one, and I am so glad I did! I could not believe how quickly this machine made ice. It is extremely easy to use. Whenever I start running low on ice now, I just pull it out, plug it in, and set it to work. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is needing a quick and efficient means of producing ice cubes.

AWESOME!
This thing is awesome! I have a sensitivity to flouride. It somehow affects my thyroid negatively and makes me physical sick, so I can’t drink tap or regular filtered water. I drink water all day everyday and it has to be filtered by reverse osmosis. Most water filter devices in fridges and Brita don’t use reverse osmosis so I can’t use that water to drink or make ice. I have to make ice using bottled water in trays which is annoying and irritating. I finally bought this and wasn’t sure about one of the reviews which stated that it was “soft ice” and melts rather quickly and doesn’t keep drinks cold for long. That may be the case if you’re using regular cups and room temperature drinks, but I use an insulated bottles all day and I figured I’d try keeping a cold bottle of water in fridge so the ice would last longer. But I did notice the bullet ice cubes are thinner than I expected and the ice stayed in my insulated cup for hours. I took pictures of how thick they are. Hopefully you can see it. And also wanted to state that it made that whole bag of ice in my picture in 8 hours. I just kept emptying the basket when it was full into the provided bag; it will stop making ice when it’s full so you have to empty it if you want it to keep making ice. I now have a big bag of ice I can use without having to crack and twist trays lol. I LOVE THIS THING! I’ve only had it a day so hopefully it keeps going strong for a while. 😁

A Short Term Solution In Kitchen/ Great for Dorm Room
Purchased to make ice for a small family as we decided on which new refrigerator to go with, as the ice maker went out on our current refrigerator. Using it for several weeks and can say it does make ice fast, so fast you need to keep an eye on it and get it in the freezer before it starts to overflow in the basket and perhaps melts a bit. The ice from tap water is slightly cloudy as there is no filter on this unit. For clear ice use bottled or purified water. Ice is a dome shape with, a flat bottom, and a hole in the center. May melt a bit faster than the cubes that were produced by the ice maker in the refrigerator, but it makes up for this in how fast it works. How to really clean this at the point we stop using it is not clear, will have to Google that.The issue is the bottom plug that drains the water. It has a silicon-type stopper on top of a plastic piece that seemed to be at first well attached to it. Now after draining it many times to keep the water fresh, or dry out overnight, the silicon has come off of the plastic and is a pain to remove and place back in, this is unfortunate that it was not designed as one piece so that it would not have come apart.For a dorm room, this would be great as ice could be made for one person as needed and the unit shut off.For a small family as a tide over it has been OK and maybe even better than OK as we were able to make a good decision on a new refrigerator freezer with an ice maker and not be rushed because we had this handy device.It has its limits, but again, for the price it was worth it. I do not see this being a long-term workhorse ice maker based on the issues with the very basic plug at the bottom, and the melting of ice that builds up in a basket and is an ice block sort of that is to be broken up before use.

Item arrived from seller quickly. Easy to set up. Just put it on your counter and wait a couple of hours for the coolant to settle. Then fill it with water and turn it on. If there is one minor issue it’s that you can’t select between large or small “bullets.” One size only. Otherwise it works great.

When you need quick or additional ice for drinks.

The Cowsar Ice Maker is a great support for our in fridge ice maker. We use quite a bit of ice in our home, for medical and visitors so having this unit helps a lot. It has a quick turn around time from water to ice nuggets. After easy set up, initial cleaning and adding filtered water from the fridge, it took no time to start producing ice nuggets. We usually purchase bagged ice locally at a cost of 2.55 – 2.99 for 7lb bags, normally every 10 days and more during the summer months. This will relieve the extra purchase cost and provide additional ice as needed. The price for the unit was very reasonable, larger producing units are available but this work great for us.

It has been so far a great product. The only downfall is that it is noisy when making the ice.

Better than Expected
Had problems with shipping. When it arrived there was something loose inside the machine rattling around. I decided to try it anyway and it has been working great. I will never run out of ice again.
