TERRO T300 Liquid Ant Bait

TERRO Liquid Ant Baits

Ants can be a problem anywhere – in the home, at work and everywhere in between. To kill common household ants, place TERRO Liquid Ant Baits in areas where you’ve seen ant activity. This will attract foraging ants so they can take the bait back to the nest. As the bait circulates through the colony, it kills the ants you see and the ones you don’t. Within a few days, you should see a significant decrease in the number of ants visiting the bait. The compact size of the bait stations makes them perfect for placement along baseboards, in corners, on counters, under and behind appliances, and on windowsills. The more bait placements you use, the better!

How Liquid Ant Bait Works

Since this is a bait, initially you will see more ants – but don’t worry, this is a good thing. Why? As ants forage for food, they are quickly attracted to the sweet, sugary liquid inside the bait stations. After finding the bait, worker ants consume it and leave behind a pheromone trail leading back to the colony. This trail lets other worker ants know where the newly discovered food supply is. This is why you will see more ants in the beginning.

Meanwhile, the active ingredient, Borax, is slowly interfering with the ant’s digestive system, ultimately eliminating it, but leaving enough time for the ant to go back and share the dose with the rest of the colony. This slow kill is necessary so that foraging ants can make several trips to the bait. The communal nature of an ant colony allows the bait to be spread to hundreds, if not thousands, of individual ants.

how to use terro liquid ant bait

How to Use Liquid Ant Baits

TERRO Liquid Ant Baits are very easy to use. Before placing the bait stations, be sure to remove other sources of food, such as crumbs, sugar and grease spots to prevent attracting ants elsewhere. Do not place bait where you’ve already sprayed insecticides, as the pests may avoid the bait stations.

  1. Hold the bait station firmly with bait pack tab facing up. Break off the tab being careful not to spill the bait.
  2. Place the bait station label side up on a flat surface near signs of ants. Place additional bait stations anywhere they may enter your home. For best results, use all bait stations to ensure a sufficient supply for the ants.
  3. Monitor placements regularly, but do not interfere with the pests or bait stations. Replace when bait is depleted. Complete control may take up to 2-4 weeks.
  4. Once ants are controlled, replace the baits every 3 months to keep them from returning.

It works! Sugar Ants, be gone!

We got our leaking roof resealed and a few days later, there was a super highway of HUNDREDS sugar ants marching from the corner of the window frame to the organic/scraps bucket, about a 10-foot long path. They had to find a new way out of the attic (hey, our roofer did a great job sealing it!). We’ve never experienced an ant problem before, but learned that sugar ants will nest in areas with water damage (hence why the appear in bathrooms too). I ordered this project based off the reviews, and it exceeded expectations! I placed three cartridges out – one at the window/wall access and two along the trail. They swarmed them (yuck, but I had to force myself to let it happen) and carried the poison back to the nest. By the third day, there were only a couple dozen ants out and then we haven’t seen any since. Highly recommend!

    Great ant traps

These are excellent ant traps. Ants are not a problem any one wants to deal with, yet sometimes it is unavoidable. We were plagued with an ant problem and nothing was working. I saw positive reviews for this product and assumed it can’t possibly be that positive of an ant trap, yet after 1 day of putting it out I was impressed. First, it will look like there are more ants then you have ever imagined, however this is the way that it works. They are attracted to the liquid and all flock to it. Then they get trapped inside the sticky liquid and the entire plastic container fills with ants. But eventually, the ant problem is completely managed. When we moved to a new apartment I saw 2 or 3 ants around and I immediately hit reorder, these are an essential.

    Really works well!!!

Left my dry cat food down by where my heater room is. Within hours…hundreds of black ants, in the cat food and all around it on the mat!!!! I took the food and mat up.I opened the door, found out where they were coming from, placed the trap in their path. The next morning, no ants in sight on the dining room floor. Open the heater room door….The photo I took was from overnight. And when I picked this trap up to look, they were all swarming around and into this trap. It was a wonderful ant massacre. These work so good. Just ordered more. You just have to try to find the source where they are coming from and put it there. And use scissors to cut the plastic tab off. Make sure you have it upright so no liquid poison spills out.Read instructions. Not good for children or pets.UPDATE: The second photo is the same trap a few days after I made the original review. HOLY CRAP!!! I must have gotten the whole colony of little brown ants in my house and from my neighbor across the street. lol. These work well. I just bought more. Like I said. Try to find out where there are coming into your house or your room. Leave the trap at that spot. It does take a few days. Hope you have the luck that I had with them.

    BYE BYE ANTS

These work so well. We had a big ant problem. And we were annoyed bc it’s winter and we were finding ants all in our kitchen snacks and all. Tried other ant traps but ants still seemed to be around. Ordered these , put them where ant activity seemed to be and right away it was like an ant party. So many ants came to see these traps, like a gross amount of ants, and I got to see where in the wall they were coming from. So I stuck traps by the spot in the wall. The ant party lasted maybe 3 days. The ants were going in and out of the traps, some stayed in. But by day three we were seeing less and less. Day 5 now and I don’t see a single ant. I will continue to buy these just in case.. fantastic!

    Infestation GONE in a week!

This is the first year in our new home. Our house had become infested(and I mean infested) with tiny black “sugar” ants as we call them. When winter hit they came from practically every door in our home looking for food. Eventually they zero-ed in on the kitchen where the infestation really became insidious. I would post pictures but I’m honestly trying to block it from memory it was so bad(hundreds upon hundreds crawling across the floor and walls, trying to get in the fridge bad) I bought this product and immediately got to work deep cleaning the kitchdn and sealing away any food that they could possibly get into. I laid my traps and waited. I’m not even joking within a few hours they immediately went straight to the trap I put in my spice cabinet. Here comes the hard part. For about 4 days I had a trail of ants that was nearly an inch thick leading to and fro my cabinets but I knew that’s how the poison really works is if they can take it back to the colony and back to the queen. Each day the trail of ants got substantially smaller and by day 7-8 they were completely gone.

AMAZING PRODUCT WHEN NOTHING ELSE WORKED

We had an ant infestation for weeks. They were crawling in the pantry, across the stovetop, in the kitchen sink…a few even hopped onto a ladle and into some hot soup that was cooking on the stovetop. We tried everything: peppermint oil, OTC ant spray, the white square roach motels from Home Depot, and a professional exterminator (though admittedly he only came once, and apparently said it takes several visits to make any impact as in CA they are not allowed to use lethal poison due to regulations). It was so exasperating going into the kitchen and really wreaked havoc on our lives.Based on reviews, I decided to give this product a try based on the thousands of positive Amazon reviews. I was skeptical when I opened the package, but was willing to try anything. Welp, I am happy to report that after less than 24 hours, our “ant farm” as my son calls it, is nearly 98% GONE. The product did what it said it would do: the ants would take the sugary liquid back to its queen and wipe out the colony.BONUS: We didn’t have loads of dead ants to clean up. I guess the liquid kept them alive just long enough to go back to expire either in the walls or outside our home. There were a few dozen laying here and there, and a few still alive, so we plan on leaving the traps out for another week just to ensure we got them all.5 STAR PRODUCT!!!

    This works

My apartment building spews ants when there is rain or construction nearby. Over time I’ve used all the more eco and humane things but they seem to get worse over time. I finally tried this product. I was worried because I have a cat but I just stuck them in places he won’t go, like between the counter and fridge or on the back of the counter or sink, or in the shower with the door shut. He didn’t seem curious. He doesn’t like to be around the ants anyway. You need to cut it open and slightly tilt it so the liquid comes to the entrance and then stick it where ants are and they come pretty much right away. Don’t touch it for two to three days, even when you see a giant hoard of them. After those two to three days they will just be gone. I did one round and then a couple weeks later they came back but I redistributed them in the kitchen and they were quickly gone. Then I got some in the bathroom from the drain wall and added them there. It’s basically moving them around to kill off the population. I hate killing so many but if it’s out of hand like here I highly recommend them. Easy fast and effective.

Excellent, but prepare for the swarm

These traps are a lifesaver! For months, I have been seeing the occasional ant or two around my apartment. I wasn’t bothered by it at first, because I thought it was just the random wanderers, This was a big mistake – where there’s one ant there are surely more. I began noticing lines of ants marching across the walls of my bathroom, swarming my kitchen trash can despite regularly taking out the garbage, and even crawling around my counter tops. The traps I ordered from here came quickly. I set them out near the line of ants. At first, they didn’t seem to be working, so I held the trap opening near the ant march line to grab a couple ants into the trap. I set it back down and came back a couple hours later to see it completely covered in ants. While it gets pretty intense, leave the traps be. Don’t spray at the swarm no matter how tempting. They march the poison right back to their base. Several ants will die directly inside of the trap too, but most of them will exit and kill the queen of the colony.I set out about 3 traps, one in each location that I had been seeing ants. After about a week, we were ant free!Great product, 10/10 would recommend to anybody with ant problems

    This Stuff WORKS!

I had a problem with tiny ants. These are ants about 1/16 to 3/32 of an inch. They bite and were all over my folding table which I use in my tiny apartment living room. I use a spray bottle with alcohol to control them.I remembered that this product had worked when I first moved into the apartment so I ordered some from Amazon. I received the order and opened one of the bait packs and put it on my table. After a few minutes the ants were attracted to it and there was a line of ants streaming to and from the trap. After about 10 to 12 hours, the trap was completely deserted. I could’nt see any ants on the entire table. AMAZING!I have never seen a product so fast and so completely. Absolute five star quality.

It’s crack for ants but safe for pets!

I’m never wasting money on anything else ever again. These things work and they work fast!I’m pet/house sitting for my boss and when I came over Tuesday evening the ants had overrun the kitchen from a crack near the back door in his living room. There were easily thousands of these things. Like it was so bad. They were in drawers, in the dishwasher, just everywhere!I went to the store hoping they had these in stock as I had used them before, but unfortunately they only had the Raid ones. I knew Raid was also pet safe so I picked up a 4 pack hoping that it would be fine.I put all 4 down within their path and maybe 1 or 2 ants were interested but it took about 30 min. The next morning it looked like there was maybe a little less but it was hard to tell.I came back after work Wednesday night and they were right back to where we started and none of the ants were touching the Raid baits anymore. So I got these overnight delievered and put them down about 2pm on Thursday. That picture of them in the trap was only after 10 minutes! Since there were so many ants in there they started going around it to still look for more food. I assumed it was because they couldn’t fit anymore in the trap so I put a second one down a bit later and after 30 minutes their trail to the kitchen really, really thinned out. It’s now Friday about 3pm, so just over 24 hours from the first trap being set and there’s maybe 5-10 still in the kitchen or in the livingroom but thats it. Which may seem like a lot still but I cant even explain how bad it was before. The traps still have liquid in them for now so I’m just going to watch and maybe use a 3rd but I’m pretty sure this solved the problem. I checked their ant hill outside and their numbers have definitely dwindled. You can see how uninterested they are in the raid bait next to it in my pics. Thats how they’ve mostly been with them since putting them down. I did fold up a bit of newspaper to make like a ramp for them to get in the Terro bait easier.I’m forever only buying this stuff from now on. It’s always worked within a couple days and it gets the trail leading elsewhere in the house to stop within hours. Other brands can’t even come close.Extra bonus is that Terro is pet safe too. Obviously I wouldn’t bottle feed my pets with it and I always try to put it where they can’t get it. So far I’ve had them around 3 cats and 2 dogs and none have even been a little bit interested in them. Which I was worried about one of my boss’s dogs because she will eat anything and everything and with crazy speed. So luckily they’re not interested in them like the ants are.I would just put them tilted upwards for a few minutes before opening so all the liquid goes to the bottom and away from the opening. I haven’t had any issues with the liquid coming out of the tube, but I’ve seen other reviews say it’s super sticky and hard to get up. So I always do that before opening and haven’t had an issue yet, even with putting them in hard to reach places like behind furniture.I always try to put them directly in their trail or as close to it as possible. And put it close to where they’re getting in from. I don’t find dead ant bodies all over the house when I’ve done this the few times I used them (not including the ones that have gotten stepped on of course). But seriously this stuff is amazing and it’s 1000% worth the wait for delivery if these aren’t available in store. Because this will get rid of your ant problem quicker than using any other brand even if you have to wait a few days.

    GREAT ant destroyer

If put out for several days depending on the size of the ant nest ( where pets nor kids can get to them) the ants go into the trap and carry the poison back into the nest.. the ants are there one day then just gone… it is awesome. Spraying chemicals kills the ants in front of you, but not those in the nest, so more just keep coming using sprays. One tip with the new twist off open feature.. do not twist it all the way off, but rather twist it so it becomes a ramp up into the trap for the ants.

    It works

Living in a hot climate year round you get used to seeing all sorts of critters in your home, but when you get ants ugh. I found out about terro thru my aunt she swore by it so I decided to try it. I’ll never try anything else, the first time I used them I didn’t see an ant for months! It’s discreet you can put them everywhere year round to make sure those critters don’t come back!

    100% Effective!

I ended up with a major ant problem in my vehicle. After days of trying to get rid of them with no success, I searched and found this product. It only took one night of leaving this on my dash! I still put one out every night for 3 nights just in case, but all were gone the first night using it.

    They work.

Had small black ants in the kitchen. They swarmed these baits for a week or so and died out. Two things to know: First, the tabs don’t twist off like they say, you’ll need scissors. And second, after a few days if you don’t see any ants, leave the baits out a couple more days to make sure they’re truly gone.

    No more and problem

These are great! I once a year have ant issues and I snap a few open and put them around where I believe ants are coming through and yes, they do flood into the container and it takes a bit for them to fully go away. Once I’ve allowed a few ants take the stuff back to the colony they are gone! I always keep the handy during that season. Just fyi if that goo spills out the tube, yes it’s very sticky so make sure you know it might spill out.

    TEH BOMB!!!!

TERRO. Great, just great. Been bugged by some very tiny almost microscopic ants. On my kitchen counter my dinning table and occasionally on the kitchen floor. Saw this product being advertised on TV and I decided to give it a try. I was not at all disappointed.Just about three minutes after it has been placed, the ants swarmed it. they did not die on spot, you could see them marching back and forth from where every they were coming from. By morning light no ants, until present not one.I was only unhappy with the way it opens, the instruction said you should twist it open but it was not twisting open at all. i had to use a pair of scissor to cut it open. However, simply put… The ants are gone and that is what I purchased it for. Let see how long they will stay away. TERRO WORKS, NO LIES, NO FALSE ADD, NO GIMMICK. IT SIMPLY WORKS.

    Worked for me

A flavored seltzer water exploded in my minifridge and quickly attracted hundreds of ants. I put three traps down, and they were noticeably less by the next day. After three days, they were almost all dead. It is sad to see all the dead ants… but the traps did their job and I still have more left over in case they come back.

    This is THE Solution

Been dealing with tiny tiny ants since we moved in the apt. We keep it shining as we both (my gf and myself) are very tidy and clean.Nevertheless these little ants kept coming and we could not find the origin.Believe me guys, this is life changing. One week, and they disappear, they bring it back to the colony and get rid of every one.Best product i’ve ever tried.

    Effective but can be messy

Works as advertised and it’s great at getting rid of ants. Just place it where the ants are and they will find it.The only downside is that sometimes the liquid will get out of the trap and it gets quite messy and if you don’t clean it quickly it will dry and it becomes very hard to remove it. With this said I still recommend it!

    A lifesaver!

I keep a pretty clean home, but summer is when all the critters come out. My house was just filled with ants one day and I couldn’t get rid of them. I bought a spray home barrier thing and it did nothing. I got these, put them in the corners of the problem areas and by day 3, the ants were gone!!! I saw maybe 2 or 3 in the weeks following and now absolutely nothing. I definitely recommend!

It works! When I see a couple of ants in an area, I don’t kill them. I put this magic thing in the same area. I wake up in the morning and I see a TON more in and around it. It really does work without having to use all sorts of chemicals and spray them around.

WIPES OUT ANTS, inside / outside

Been using Terro for decades. Indoors and Outdoors. These are the one size fits all. To use outside you need to put under a small flat rock or piece of wood to anchor it and keep it from getting flooded. There are outdoor version I do use. They have little spikes to drive in earth. I use them in the most important / vital areas to treat. Takes a week to 2 weeks but after the ants bring enough back to the nest to take out all their pals. Never had them come back either.

    Killed the ants

My house got invaded by little bitty black ants. There were thousands and thousands of them and they appeared overnight. They were everywhere getting into everything – even items we thought were sealed. We couldn’t leave any food out on the counter top or kitchen table without seeing ants in the food in minutes. It was crazy. Tried another brand of ant trap and the little black ants didn’t take the bait. Purchased these out of desperation to try something different and the ants were gone in a few days. Thank goodness. I have kept a few of them in a variety of places in the house in case we have a second invasion. I would purchase these again.

Of all the Terro ant products, this is my favorite

These baits use the liquid, and they are very low profile, so they fit easily under the microwave and help zap ants without being in the way. The Terro product really works to draw ants, and the last trap i removed was under the washer near the cat food–it was full of dead ants. it kept them out of his food, and didn’t make a mess. liquid being in the container (as opposed to placing the liquid on a piece of cardboard) is safe for my pet. i have bought these 2x for myself, and once for my brother’s family. definitely recommended.

    IT WORKS – ENOUGH SAID

I was so worried about ants, and nothing I tried worked on them. I set this up and overnight they were all dead and never ever came back. Unlike others I dont even have dead ants in these. They were all over it the moment I set it up and since the next day it’s like they never existed. Not sure where they all went.

Great Product but Watch Out for Cleanup

I tried a bunch of alternative things, but eventually I gave up and just got these to deal with my indoor ant problem. The product worked great, but I don’t remember them mentioning that the liquid turns into almost like a glue that is horrible to clean up. I know you’re thinking, but it’s in a container that they walk into, which is true but at some point which may have been the volume of ants going in just started dragging the liquid out or what happened but everyone of the traps I setup the liquid ended up out of the trap in a puddle. So I definitely recommend the product but I would place it in a container like a cheap short piece of tupperware so that the ants can still climb into, but when the invasion is over you can just throw out the tupperware with the trap….oh man I just remembered I placed a couple in the wood cabinet. I’m going to have to look up some way to dissolve this stuff.

These Works Amazing Down Here in Southwest Florida !!!

The sugar/ghost ants had taken over the stove top in our Naples, Florida kitchen. It seemed no matter how much we wiped and cleaned within minutes any food left on the stove would be fair game for the ants. These ants are tiny, and they don’t bite but my wife said Enough is Enough. That is when we ordered the Terro ant bait traps with the sticky juice of death in them. You just take the trap and cut off the end, and that allows the ants to feast until they are full on the juice of death in the trap. Then they take their meal down to the queen and with 48 hours that ants were gone. Vanished. Mission Accomplished.

    Ant Bait

Had an ant problem upstairs, needed something small and effective. Read the reviews on several products and settled on these. Placed them in the corners and within 24 hours they were filled with dead ants. Will definitely buy again.

A miracle in tiny clear boxes! THEY REALLY WORK! Just be patient!

I knew that these were the truth when I had to buy and use them when my relative spilled what looked like the equivalent of about a 1/2 cup of hot cereal from the box on top shelf in the pantry. The cereal not only spilled on the floor, but it also had spilled all over everything stored on the shelves below it. Since they decided that they would rather go on about their business and pretend that they didn’t spill it instead of cleaning it up right away and since I didn’t discover the spill until several days after it happened, an army of ants sniffed out the spill and stormed the pantry and the surrounding area. They were EVERYWHERE AND IN EVERYTHING!There were so many that if you stood still it looked like the floor was moving!I put down 4 Terro Ant Baits: 1 alongside the doorway in the pantry, 1 in the corner of the pantry, 1 outside of the pantry door, and 1 across from the pantry and I kid you not by the second or third day the ant baits were so full that they looked like they had been painted black! The ants completely disappeared before the week was over! I used the baits again recently because the constant rainy weather has made the ants run from the outside. This time the ants that invaded my bathroom disappeared 2 days after I put 1 bait under the bottom drawer of the bathroom vanity. If you’re complaining that you “only see more ants” after you put the baits down, just be patient. The way the baits work is you put them where you see the most ant activity, the ants swarm the baits, take their “food” back to the colony, share it, eat it, and then die.The baits might not work for everybody in a week or less like they did for me and others who had the same experience when using the baits. Again, just have patience!

First thing I’ve tried that’s actually worked

These baits are a miracle. I have curious kitties and have been so scared to try so many things because of that. I’ve tried the gel baits, sprays, natural things like oils and other methods. Nothing worked to keep them away, only maybe deter them slightly. These baits got rid of all my ants overnight. I actually almost wanted to cry because it could’ve been so easy after months of trying literally everything else. Now as far as directions go I think it’s super important to put the baits right in the ants walkway. Like whatever they’re going for put it right in the way.The second thing, and the only reason I won’t give this five stars, is that you need to forget about trying to easily snap off the “easy snap off tabs”. They are not easy to take off, nor is there any kind of snap. The first time I tried to snap one off I ended up twisting and twisting the top until I just gave up and got scissors. The tops don’t snap off, just trust me, cut them off it’s much less hassle and doesn’t mess up the opening that the ants go in.

    A magical product!

A while back, we had a bit of an ant infestation at home because we placed a hummingbird feeder near the entrance, and the sugar water inside attracted way too many ants. This eventually led to ants showing up in various parts of the house, from the kitchen countertops to the corners of the dining room and even the bathroom sink. At times, it felt like there were over a hundred of them. I tried using insect spray, but the strong odor was unpleasant, and the ants always seemed to return a day or two later. I also experimented with various ant baits, but they didn’t seem to entice the ants effectively.Later, my colleague recommended this product to me. I bought it and gave it a try. First and foremost, it’s very convenient to use. I would open it and place it on the surfaces where the ants were active. I’d also carefully drop a small amount near the ants. Quickly, the ants would discover the liquid and start feeding on it. About an hour later, I’d return to find a significant gathering of ants around the bait station and its vicinity. The next morning, all the ants had disappeared, and there were no ant carcasses in my home. Moreover, the rooms where I placed the bait had remained ant-free. I used this product in four different locations in my home, and in less than three days, the problem was completely resolved. It’s truly miraculous!

    This works!!

I’ve never had ants in my house until a couple of days ago, when I noticed one or two. Then a few more started appearing and I realized this could quickly become a problem. I called my pest control company; they do quarterly preventive treatment on my home, but they did tell me that ants are bad this year and are affecting a lot of homes due to the drought conditions where I live. Unfortunately, they can’t come out until next week to look at the problem, so I needed something to try to manage the issue until then.A bit of research online led me to this highly recommended product, so I went ahead and ordered a pack and paid a couple of bucks extra for same day shipping. The main area I noticed the ants was in my kitchen; it appears they’re coming in through some cracked caulking. I tried re-caulking that area but they kept coming through other small nooks behind the cabinets.I put a bait station down last night, off to the side of where the ants seemed to be “marching” in the kitchen area. I woke up this morning hoping to see a bunch of ants in the bait, but there weren’t any! I was worried that maybe I had some sort of weird mutant ants that didn’t like this bait. Before giving up, I moved the bait right in the path of where the ants were marching and I faced the opening towards the spot where the majority of the ants were coming from.A couple of hours later I went to check and WOW!! The bait was filled with ants. I don’t know ants are just dumb and couldn’t find the bait a few inches away, or if it just took some time to start attracting them, but either way suddenly it was like they couldn’t get enough of the stuff. This of course means there were also a ton of ants marching up and down the wall between the bait and their lair. It was very tempting to try to murder them all or set fire to the house, especially because there were only a few before and then suddenly there were a LOT more. However, I’m glad I resisted the urge to order a flame-thrower because it’s literally only been about 8 hours since I moved the bait to a better spot and it appears there are WAY fewer ants around it. I hope this means it’s working and killing those little suckers.Thank goodness for this product! I’m still going to see what my pest control guy says when he comes next week, but I’m really glad I can leave this out in the meantime and hopefully keep the problem under control if not solve it entirely. And I have a bunch more unopened ones in case I start seeing them coming into the house from other entry points. What a relief!! If you’re tempted to use this product I’ll just say it works, but it gets worse before it gets better. Do not burn your house down if you suddenly see hundreds of ants swarming the bait. It just means it’s working!

    Amazing

Within the first 5Minutes , so many aunts arrived ! And I found out where it was coming from ( a small crack near br) I ended up placing more baits in other areas. It even brought out the queen ant! Super cool watching them do their job ngl, sort of made me sad but it’s working. The next morning I wake up to empty box unsure why haha idk if that’s a good thing, but I suppose it means they took more poison back to their colony. Anyway! This works! I don’t see ants anymore. This product attracts and kills ants

Had a problem with little brown ants. Bought two packs of twelve bait stations and set out twelve to start with. The ants found one bait the first day and by day two they found a second. For two days the ants increased, but by day three they have decreased in number. I was unable to twist off the tab and recommend using scissors as you hold the little vial vertically. After cutting off the tab, place it horizontally around your baseboards and the ants will find the bait station. As they fill up with ants, replace it with a new one and watch the little buggers arrive. After one month of ants – can’t wait for them to be gone!

Got rid of my rainy winter ants in 2 days in 2 places

I was pleasantly surprised to see my ant invasion that was driving us mad dwindle and then disappear. It took about 2 days to 4 days. The first thing that happened was the ants stopped running on counters and the table and stayed by the ant killer stations within about 24 hours. Two days later they disappeared. Not sure what these tiny black were, if they liked sugar or were after protein. I don’t think they were sugar as they never went for the the closed honey jars on my table.

    They work!

I rarely write reviews. Earlier today I was rinsing something in a bathroom sink. Some ants, probably “ghost” ants, started streaming out the overflow whole. This was around 2 – 3 hours ago. I laid down 2 baits on either side of the vanity top. The ants chose one of the baits. It is loaded with them and they are going back and forth to the overflow hole. Just follow the directions. Do not expect the ants to just start using the baits immediately. Give them time and they will find them.

    Works wonders

I got these a while ago bc for some reason we was gettin those big huge black ants in my house. I put 2 out where I seen them at the most and in a couple of days they was gone. No mess either. I guess they took it back to where ever they came from and they all died. Best believe me if it happens again, I know what to use.

Works very well, you have to use scissors to make a bigger hole though

Works like a charm, key is to leave it near the ants, and to even “spill” a bit of the liquid in the path of the ants so they get attracted to it. Also, I found that using scissors to make a bigger hole helps get more ants into the liquid bait. Don’t disturb the ants, let them drink the bait, and after a day they will all be dead.

    Effective and affordable

I had noticed some small ants around our downstairs bathroom and hallway closet. I checked both areas, but I could not locate the source. I would only see a handful of ants per day, but with the holidays coming, I figured I should take steps to get rid of the issue before the colony grew. I ordered a 12 pack of non-adhesive bait stations. I put one in our bathroom and waited to see what happened. In the first day or so I noticed a few ants near the trap and some general increased ant activity. I did not kill the ants as the bait’s effectiveness relies on the ants taking bait back to the nest. Within a weeks’ time I did not see any more ant activity, and the bait station was full of dead ants. This product is easy to use, very affordable, and extremely effective.

    Flying ants Begone

Every year my house gets an ant infestation during the spring/summer. I spray once in the beginning and once halfway through and generally that takes care of it. Until this year. This year, only in my bathroom, came what can only be described as ants with wings. To be fair I never witnessed them flying so perhaps they are the penguins of winged insects but they were both numerous and annoying. I used the traditional ant spray to no effect. I tried spraying the exterior of the window they entered through with many a potion equally unsuccessfully. FINALLY I recalled this product working in the past for the traditional ant so I figured why not.Ordered, opened, set out a single trap and BOOM, no more penguin ants.

    Surprisingly effective

We have had minor but persistent invasions of small black ants in our house this winter. Bought these traps, and put one out each time we found a new invasion: within a day or two, the invading ants would flock to the trap/feeder, and then the influx would stop. Dead ants would appear in the area, but the invasion ended each time with a day or two, so we Assume the nests hidden within the walls are also being killed off. It is too early to say that the nests have all been destroyed, but a week after we started deploying traps in the kitchen and bathroom, we have virtually no scouts or invasions. Very pleased with a simple, clean and cost-effective solution to ant invasions.

My ant problem was gone by using this product within a few hours.

I very rarely write reviews which is kind of stupid because I usually read reviews prior to getting certain products. Therefore I guess I will start now, hoping I can help someone decide wether or not this product is for them. Before you read this long review I want to let you know this is the BEST product I have ever used. Before I tell you about how AMAZING this product was I will tell you what kind of Ant 🐜 problem I had. Maybe someone can relate.I have a parrot and he is in a room that is near a window. With all the different types of food he eats and with the warmer weather that we started having in my area (NJ) I started seeing ants outside. That’s when I started seeing some ants coming in from the bottom left corner of the frame of our window. I have never had an ant issue with the 17 years I live hear. Even having my parrot and all the amounts of food he eats. For some reason last year during the spring time is when I saw these crazy little annoying bugs come in my house. These ants seemed to be a different type of ant. One I have never seen before. They were small but the minute you go near them they would run away or scatter away super fast. I have an exterminator on my block and he told us they were sugar ants. What the hell is a sugar ant? Lol. Well I was told that these ants hide out in your shower and in the kitchen because of the sugary foods around. Why are they found in a bathroom is beyond me. But I looked it up after what he said and everything he told us was what I read on line about “sugar ants”. I mentioned that last year I had this problem and they were found behind the faucet in our shower. That’s another story. Anyway, before having an exterminator come into my house, I figured I would try to resolve the problem myself. So before buying this “AMAZING PRODUCT”, I purchased all the “Raid” products that come in the square plastic containers. The ones that come in white or grey containers. I put the Raid traps by the window and where else I thought they might come in. I actually tried the mixture of vinegar, sugar and water concoction that was told on line to use for these ants. But nothing worked. I doubt an ant even went to these traps because near my window they would go around those traps. I was getting frustrated because I skeeve bugs. And I was afraid of an exterminator coming in with my parrot living here. I wasn’t taken that chance of him dying with the chemicals. Anyway after coming to a dead end with the Raid traps I began reading and reading on so many products just to find a worthy product. That’s when I came across this product. It was very different than the normal products that are used to kill ants. So I figured why not, let me give it a try. I received my order really fast and was anxious to use them. After reading all the directions these baits were very easy to use. It comes in a thick clear rectangular container. To open it, it Reccomended to hold it up right and twist off the plastic top until it snaps off. It was a little tough for me to snap off the top like it says on the package. Therefore I used a pair of scissors to open the trap. Word of advise, if you need a pair of scissors to open your product, just make sure to keep the trap upright so the liquid doesn’t pour out. After opening the trap, I then placed this trap about 3-4 inches away from the bottom corner of the window. Right where I saw the ants coming in. They scurried away from me at first, but the minute I put this trap down it was shocking!! No joke. I was shocked to see all these ants go running toward the opening of this trap. The trap actually attracted more ants to come out of hiding to eat this food (crazy). I actually spilt a little bit on my windowsill and some ran to that and got stuck. But what was amazing to me was after I put the trap down and watching these ants go to it, it was shocking to see them run right back out of the corner of the windowsill. It was crazy. I just watched for a few minutes and to see them either get trapped inside the trap or grab some of the food in the trap and run back outside or wherever they came from. And by the end of the day they were gone. It’s about 2 weeks now since I only used one trap and I have yet to see another NASTY ANT!! Wahooo!!!! They are gone. This product is BY FAR THE BEST ANT PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED IN MY LIFE!! This is noooo joke. Therefore you can count on me to continue to purchase and use this product for any ant problem that might arise again. I will never buy a different type of ant trap again. No matter how popular people feel the “Raid” products might be. The sprays are only wonderful for the outdoors but for the inside the “Raid” products are definitely not as effective as this product is. I actually gave my neighbor 2 traps and after a day or two they were gone by him as well. These traps are crazy how wonderful they work. I swear by this product and I know if you purchase these traps you will too. I will never buy another kind of ant traps again. These are the BEST kind of ant traps on the market by far!!! And mind you, I AM NOT making any kind of commission from this company for this product review. I am just sooo happy my ant issue is gone for now. Sooo, if you want to get rid of these annoying, nasty bugs “FAST,” then purchase these traps. And I promise you, you will be so happy you did.

Effective Solution for An Ant Problem!

I love this product! It’s an easy way to get rid of ants. There were more than I could count in the kitchen pantry area and this took care of all of them within a few days. It lives up to what it is advertising, if you are having an ant issue look no further. In my opinion, it works better than the sprays you can order / do yourself without a professional company coming out because those only take care of the ants you see sometimes. This product is genius, the ants take the bait back to the rest of the colony so ALL the ants are wiped out, not just the ones you directly spray around.Very easy to set up / apply. You can do this in seconds and the bait is small so it does not get in the way or stick out. Highly recommend this! I hope to not have to use these again, but if an ant invasion comes up in the future I will be back for more.

work well but challenging to open each trap

I used these on and off for several years after ghost ants decided to move into our neighborhood. The bait works very well, provided you set the trap and then let the ants eat it and take it back to their nest. You have to resist the temptation to kill the ants when you see them crawling all over the bait trap. It doesn’t work unless you let them take the food back to the nest. It may take two or more weeks to solve your aunt problem. Be patient because I’ve seen ants eating for two or three days and they’ll disappear for a few days, but they typically will then come back. Not sure why but that’s just my experience over the last couple of years if you need to allow plenty of time for ants to come back and forth and eat the bait.It can be a little tricky taking the ends off each bait trap. They’re supposed to just twist off but they don’t do that easily. I use a old pair of shop scissors. The traps also need to be on a very flat level surface. If there’s any kind of angle, and you place the opening on the downward side, the liquid bait can ooze out the end of the trap and you’ll have a sticky dried out puddle of bait.Overtime the liquid bait will start to dry out inside the trap and get very thick. Eventually it just forms a solid glob and at that point you just need to throw it away. A few times I’ve added a tiny bit of water and put my finger over the end and giving it a good shape to rehydrate the liquid. I’m not sure whether that affects the functionality of the poison, but it does reliquify and perhaps add a little extra life to the trap. Generally I’d say they last about a month before they dry out on their own, but that depends on your specific environment in the house.

Works on Florida Carpenter Ants (Red head, black body)

I live in Texas. I had a Florida Carpenter Ant (red head, black body) infestation for about a month, and this was one of the first baits I ordered. This stuff works very nicely. My only complaint is that the “tearable tabs” are terrible. You will probably need to use scissors to get them open. Ants WILL take this bait if they have no other methods of obtaining moisture. I am not certain if this bait was 100% killing the ants, but it was at least making them extremely sluggish (Carpenter ants are TOUGH). I had to start using the other 2 DIY baits listed below before ant activity completely ceased. Most effective baits I used to get rid of my infestation:TERRO T300B Liquid Ant Killer, 12 Bait Stations (make sure you have scissors to open these, the tabs suck)DIY – Mix Powdered Sugar with Baking Soda, put it in a baggie or a lidDIY – Mix Borax (1.5 tablespoons), Warm Water (1.5 cups), and either sugar (0.5 cup) or some peanut butter. Mix well, and then soak a cotton ball into the mixture.^for this one, I used peanut butter, since I had already set up the baking soda/sugar trap. For all of these traps, you are going to want to place them somewhere near the entrance of where the ants are coming from, out of reach from pets and children. After a few hours, you should start seeing more of them show up. This is because they are hastily working to bring the “food” that they found an abundance of back to their nest. Don’t mess with the traps or squish the ants once they start doing this, they are delivering poison to the nest. You can continue killing the ones that are not collecting the bait (e.g. ones that are just wandering around your house–they are either lost or scouting, no reason to keep them alive). Just make sure you throw the dead ants away, so that they don’t attract more ants over with their pheromones. If there are locations the ants are falling from, I’d recommend mixing water with dish soap in a (preferably) rectangular bowl with skinny edges, and then placing that under the drop point. This mixture will paralyze the ants and drown them as soon as they touch it. You NEED to use soap–carpenter ants are very good swimmers if the water is not tainted (Dish soap is toxic if ingested, so do not let pets or children near this mixture either).Ants change their mind on what they want to eat every so often, so I’d recommend using all 3 of the baits I listed if you want to get rid of them as fast as possible. If they are not taking any of the 3 baits, there are 2 possibilities: 1) It might be a bad time of the day for them–ants are generally most active at night, and early in the morning; or 2) They are in their mating cycle and have no interest in eating anything. The only advice I can give you for this is, just leave the traps where you had them and wait for them to finish the cycle. If you see winged ants, SQUISH THEM. They are breeders, and they do not collect food. One last piece of advice: Carpenter ants make satellite nests. Their main nest is most likely not in your house–there is a good chance that it is in rotting wood (trees/logs), or in the dirt somewhere near your home’s perimeter. Because of this, I’d also recommend looking for an insecticide spray that you can apply to the perimeter. I used “Spectracide Terminate Termite & Carpenter Ant Killer”, and while it does work, I would suggest looking for a different one. Its spray pump is VERY annoying to use, and it is electronic, so there is no getting around its tediousness. Just make sure you read up on the insecticide’s proper usage before applying it (most of the companies will have a website for this).I hope you found my advice helpful. It took me over a month to get rid of my infestation, since I initially had no clue what I was doing, and was just blindly ordering baits. I felt hopeless, and eventually I called 3 different exterminators… they all tried to get me to do a 1-year “maintenance” contract with no alternatives (over $700!). I spent about $95 trying to get rid of these things by myself. Over half of that money went towards useless bait that they did not care for. If you follow my advice, you will probably be spending under $50.Good luck!

Wow, received today and there are hundreds of ants swarming them instantly

I will update this review in a few days with the final results since I just purchased today, but so far ants are definitely attracted to it! I live in a 3rd floor apartment, been here two years and never had ants before. They are coming from the hot water heater and HVAC closet that maintenance keeps locked with a deadbolt, and I don’t have access. I don’t want to call in pest control bc I have two cats and dog and I don’t want them spraying a bunch of chemicals everywhere especially in the HVAC closet where it could go through the vents. I purchased these and slid them far under my appliances in the kitchen and slid one under the door of the HVAC closet – there were no ants present bc I killed them all every single day over the past week…within minutes there were hundreds ants swarming them. I have read to be patient and let them carry it back to the queens to kill off the whole nest, so that’s what I’m going to do, even though I’m totally creeped out by just letting them swarm. I’ll update with the results, but it seems very effective so far. I didn’t have any issues breaking the caps off because I used scissors.

Sugar Ants Die For This Stuff!

Walked into the kitchen one morning to find a dozen or so sugar ants walking around on the kitchen counter. I admit that I did freak out a little bit. I don’t mind bugs but not when they are cruising my kitchen counter. The moment the product arrived, we opened the package, followed the instructions exactly, and set one bait container on the counter behind the kitchen sink. When I woke up the next morning I saw 1 or 2 ants interested in some of the liquid that had apparently leaked out of the bait trap. Don’t worry about the leak I believe it is designed to do this. At around noon, my wife called me and excitedly told me there was at least 50 or 60 ants consuming the liquid liquid as it was leaking out of the bait trap They love this stuff, and just as it was designed they happily carried it back to their nest The following day we saw 3 or 4 stragglers but that’s it. They are gone! No more ants. Following the instructions we did leave one more out behind the microwave just in case there are any strugglers, but this product works! Don’t hesitate, sugar ants die for this stuff. Final note: Follow the instructions. DO NOT DISTURB THE BAIT AFTER YOU SET IT. Make sure you put it someplace where it will not get bumped or moved at all. The ants leave a sent trail to guide other ants to where the food source is.

    Wow

I had so many ants in my bedroom, coming in through my window, and I a friend suggested that I use these liquid ant traps. I had been using the normal ant traps that you just set around, but they weren’t working. And I didn’t want to use Raid spray because it’s my bedroom and my daughter sleeps with us. So I don’t want any of us breathing that stuff in. So these seemed like the best option.I placed these on the window sill and immediately the ants were drawn to it. By the end of the night their little bodies were floating in the trap, and a lot more dead ones were laying over the window sill.It wasn’t immediate though. Many still remained. They were crawling all over my wall. It took about a week before I noticed that the ant trails were gone. And I hadn’t seen an ant whatsoever. The next week I kept an eye on the window but nope: no sign of anymore ants. The traps worked their magic. It’s been about a month now and I haven’t seen one single ant in my room.I’d buy these again in a heartbeat.
