My garden is prettier than yours

This product is excellent when you have a garden with many flowers, plant and bushes. I find the name of everything in my garden and I write it in and when people come over they don’t know what that is hahaha I keep them hidden from everyone, for my eyes only. I will continue with tour naming each plant and people are impress I know them all. They are good also for my herbs. wonderful tool.

    plant markers

very convenient. they are a little smaller than the prior ones i had. these are a little too thin so they bend over easy when trying to put in the soil. wish they were a little thicker.

These would be fine for indoor seedling pots, they are two thin for outdoor use, could not get them into the ground.

    Nice Plant Labels

I ordered the green labels. The color is a little different than shown, but they’re still okay. I’ve had them in the garden for several weeks with no issues.

    Small and not sturdy

I didn’t pay enough attention to the description, so these tags are shorter than I wanted but are useable. I don’t write on these tags (my handwriting is hard to read, even for me) so I use a label machine. The labels adhere to these tags well and there is enough room on the tag to label my plants. As mentioned, the length is too short for me but that is because I didn’t read the description too well. These tags are not all that sturdy. I am using them in a flower bed and the tails tend to bend instead of going into the soil. By being careful, I was able to get them in the soil without damage.I think these tags are more suitable for potted plants that use potting soil instead of a flower bed using dirt.

    Gets the job done

These are pretty flimsy. I try to reuse vegetable tags but I don’t see that happening with these. But they’re still stuck in the ground so that’s good.

    Good value, exactly as described!

If you’re looking for garden labels, this is a solid purchase. They are sturdy enough to support themselves in wet ground (though they occasionally need some straightening after a storm). I used a Sharpie to write the plant names and it’s held perfectly despite some serious weather so far. Recommend!

Nice size and a good color for potted plants or garden rows

I chose the banana yellow color garden identification tags which look great using a medium point black permanent marker. Before the frost arrived I planted garlic, purple onions, yellow onions, white onions, and some daffodils into large pot containers and also some10 gallon grow bags and these tags are perfect so I will not forget which is located where. All have already sent up green plant shoots. These tags seem heavy duty enough to last awhile even after being exposed to the elements. We are located in California’s agricultural zone 9b. Presently, it is 34*F at 00:50 hours (early Monday morning).

Product is Great, I’m a Failure

It would be hard to mess these up, but boy did I accomplish it.The product is on point. In all ways. Cost, function, durability.I didn’t have a permanent marker so I thought a good pen would work. It did, for all of about two days! The material is not made for pen ink, so it smeared and dripped right on off, along with any clue as to what I planted and where.100 sprouted seedlings in my apartment living room later, and this years garden has just turned into a grab-bag.Luckily I pressed so hard trying to write on waterproof material instead of just buying a sharpie, that I embossed some of these, so if I look reallyyyyy close I can make out some letters.Like three letters…Ok, not very lucky. Very stupid on my part actually.Let my impatience allow you to use these properly. If you don’t have a sharpie, don’t wing it, go get that sharpie. Don’t plant a grab-bag garden.Side-note, I’m not gonna lie, the unknown of what is actually growing excites me…until I inevitably find out I’ve planted the darlings way to close to one another, because I have NO CLUE as to what the growth will be like, and it grows into a mass planting jungle…where I will spend time thinking about my poor life choices while I hunt the overgrowth for some recognition of a vegetable or fruit.Only I can accomplish this epic of a fail with something as fool proof as writing names down. Now you know…let me believe I’m not the only one for five seconds!

Durable, spacious, and hold up to direct sunlight well

I like the amount of space these offer to mark what you’ve got in the ground. These tags hold on to ink well, so you won’t lose your marking after a few weeks of rain and watering, and the tags don’t get brittle quickly in direct sun, easily lasting more than a year. A good value.

    Standard

The writing on these wear off in a year. I use my label maker and so it lasts longer. But they break after about two years, so if you want something more permanent than get the thicker stemmed ones. Great for starts where you don’t need to keep the tag.

    I only buy these!

These are a great value. I’ve bought them 3-4 times now over the years for my gardens each spring. I love them! I use a sharpie and the plastic is sturdy enough to easily put into potting soil or garden soil, and they will even stick into our hard southern clay if you push them in carefully! My whole family uses them all over our 2 acres and many gardens. I will continue to buy them!

    Decent enough but not great

They’re sturdy enough in that they won’t degrade and a good waterproof marker will stay. But the colors aren’t light-fast and fade quickly with sun exposure. They’re also quite flimsy in that they bend easily the second they feel any resistance in the soil; adequate enough, but not acceptable for long term use. Especially not if you want to color code your garden tags. You’ll have to buy new ones every year and re-label everything.

    Flimsy

I use these in my raised garden planters where I label the seeded plants. They are OK for soft topsoil, but fold easily and will not go into the hard soil in my garden beds. They are very lightweight and might be useful in a greenhouse, but are smaller than I thought. The marker ink I used on them lasted about two months in the sun.

    Great for marking a location

These are durable, they are sturdy, and they are nice if you are looking for a way to mark where you have planted bulbs, or seeds so you know where you have planted things so you know where to water them. But if you are looking to have the plant names or other information on the tags long term, look elsewhere. I have tried these for three years using grease pencil, regular pencil, colored pencil, permanent (Sharpie) marker, dry erase marker, liquid paint pens, no mater what, it all either fades or comes off after a few days in the sun or a few good rains. That being said: They do not fall apart or break down while outside. I have left some in the garden throughout the hot summer (100 degrees +), and through the snow and winter (-20 degrees), and they hold up just fine are in great shape and can be used again. In fact they are completely clean and void of any markings. Which is a bonus if you are using them again for marking locations.NOTE: They are also fine to use inside with seed starters because they are not exposed to the “elements” of being outside and the writing holds up just fine in those conditions.

    permanent marks won’t stay

Use your best printing with a permanent Sharpie marker to write plant names, put it in the ground to mark your plants, then nature happens, and WALLA! Your plants’ names are washed off. The bright yellow plastic remains, marking a spot and a plant with no name. I think providing a marker that won’t wash off or at least naming one that will remain would be a good solution.

    Worth it for the price

I got these because I have almost 100 house plants and it got hard to tell them apart. I tried using a silver sharpie at first but it did not come out very clearly on the black labels, so instead I used a label maker. Some of the printed labels are now starting to peel off because they have gotten wet, but they’re easy enough to replace that I’m still happy with these labels, for the price. The actual plants spikes themselves are completely waterproof and very easy to clean, you just have to find something that writes clearly on the material or doesn’t peel off. If you use printed labels from a label maker, these labels become slightly less waterproof just because the labels will peel off of the plant spikes.

    great for temporary garden markers

These are perfect for putting out in the garden when I first plant, so I can remember what I have planted where. I use a ball point pen and the ink does run off after a few weeks, but they are sturdy, hold up to wind and I don’t mind replacing them every couple of week.

Good for using in pots and loose soil

I ordered these for marking amaryllis that are planted in the ground. I really needed longer stakes and these were hard to push in the ground in places. I think that it would be better, in my situation, to have gotten longer stakes or metal stakes that are easier to push in harder soil. These would be great for pots of plants or a vegetable garden where the shorter stakes would work better. I also ordered a marker designed for the purpose of writing on stakes for use outdoors and that worked great.

    Good value for money

These are going to last me a few years. Not just because they come in a pack of 100, but because when you leave them in the sun, whatever you write on them bleaches off, and you can use the same ones the following year. They don’t stand up to the scorching California temperatures that well – the ones I’ve put in the ground outside bent over/melt in the sun – but they serve a purpose so that I can remember what I planted where before either a squirrel digs it up or one of my children plays ‘digging’ in my veggie patch.

Not for outdoor plants in the sun

It’s pretty sturdy and put up with cold/hot weather but the writing on it won’t last. I used black sharpy to write for the outdoor pots and after a few months all the writings on the labels disappeared. So I have 10 bare root sticks and have no idea what they are. I noticed that even indoor pots if the labels were facing the sun they were all disappeared but if it was facing away from the sun or in the shade it survived.

Flopped over on day 1; returning

Planted my garden here in AZ, placed the labels in the corners so as not to obstruct my watering system (Garden-in-a-Minute — couldn’t love it more, FYI). Went out 6 hours later, and labels were folding in half. It’s not even the high heat of our summer (100 -103 degrees, and covered by a shade each afternoon). I planted a week ago, and every day I have gone out to new labels flopped over and blocking water. I have straightened them and put them back in; today I’m throwing in the towel. Sending back and buying wood label stakes. If you live anywhere warm, look elsewhere. These are not great.

I am a repeat buyer of this product.

I do a lot of planting from seeds and slips, so use these often. The size is perfect and I use a fine point Black Sharpie to label them. The blue ones are hard to see the writing though unless you have really good eyes and/or lighting. They can be purchased in all white too, so that would work better but wouldn’t be as pretty. They are easy to wash and reuse when you no longer need them for the original plant. The marker does not wash off, but I use them again for the same type of plant. I would recommend these.
