Small Cheaper Microwave
As my older microwave has gone out. I had replaced it to this Farberware at 80 Bucks with sale tax. As family of 3 were in Switzerland, they had bought McDonalds meal for 80 US Bucks that had lasted just only few hours, then back to hungry. I think; this 80 Bucks for years to last, is much better overall deal. I had notice the heat beam are more narrow for even faster heating in smaller area for lesser wattage. Around 20% of power saving for even shorter run time.

Mini Microwave
From what I understand, one factory in China makes ALL these 700-watt microwave ovens, which are marketed under different brand names.Indeed, the button layout of this Farberware oven is practically identical to that of the oven I had before, from some defunct brand that began with an “O”. Oster — something like that? But the programming here is a little different, with more cooking options revealed by pressing a particular button more than once.I also like the gray interior, illuminated now by LEDs instead of a traditional light bulb, which hides food stains better!Otherwise, this unit is quiet in operation and should give years of service.

Microwave don’t last long
This little microwave is perfect for the spot I had for it and ran pretty good at first, but it is holding a lot of moist and the smell of food which I am realizing rust in the corners. Maybe I need to buy a specific product to clean the microwave I don’t know if this is supposed to happening.

Lots of power for a smaller microwave. We needed one that was small enough to fit in our pantry but it still holds a large dinner plate

A Good Microwave for the Price
We replaced a similar unit which we purchased 3 years ago. The unit we replaced was a Faberware. This unit was rated at 1.1 cu ft but the physical size was smaller. The unit is what we consider as disposable. If it fails beyond the first year there are no spare parts for a repair. The microwave has good features and works just fine.

Love it
I’ve had this microwave for several months now and it’s working very well. I love the one-touch 30 seconds, 1 minute and 2 minute settings. I also love that there is plenty of room for my 9 1/2 inch plates pictured in the photo.

6 Year Lifespan
I bought this in March 2017 and used it daily, multiple times per day. It still works well, but I just noticed the ceiling inside the microwave is starting to rust and the paint is starting to flake, and when you open or close the door, paint and rust crumbles onto your food. So this lasted about 6 and a half years of daily use, which I think is pretty reasonable for a 70$ microwave.

Simple, Basic, Small Microwave
This is the classic, small, cheap, low-power microwave that has graced millions of dorm rooms, office break rooms and the like. If you look carefully, you’ll see that most of these small, 700 watt microwaves have absolutely identical control panels, meaning that the guts of this one and most of the others are likely very similar. I am sure Faberware licenses their name to whoever makes this, and the same factory in China probably makes most of the other ones that compete with it. A low-power microwave seems to be a commodity product at this point. So I would get whatever one is cheapest, in my case it was this black Faberware, but your mileage may vary.Advantages: It’s cheap, it is very compact and good for small spaces, and because it has lower power it is less likely to trip a breaker than a full-sized microwave. This also means it is a good choice for an RV, cabin with a moderate off-grid power system, etc. I confirmed that even a Jackery 1000 can run it for several minutes without overheating, although it actually pulls just a tiny bit over 1,000 watts. The 700 watt rating is the energy going into your food, not how much power the microwave uses, I suppose. But even pulling 1000 watts, it doesn’t completely eat the battery in the Jackery 1000 to run this thing, it goes down 1-2% per minute of operation, meaning you could absolutely power this in a power outage with the big Jackery power station or something equivalent. The disadvantages are simple too: It has a bit less power than a regular microwave so your food will take a bit longer to heat up. It can get stuff just as hot, it just takes a bit longer. That is really no big deal unless you are trying to microwave a frozen dinner and the recipe is designed for a regular, full-power microwave and you’ll have to guess how much more time it will need. More significantly, the oven itself is pretty small, meaning any oversized dinner plate or particularly tall item is not going to fit inside it. But it otherwise has everything a regular microwave has including a small turntable to help your food cook more evenly. Most people will step up to a larger and more powerful microwave as their daily driver. If, for whatever reason, that doesn’t work for you, this thing is fine and it isn’t really that big of a step down from a normal sized microwave.

Great small microwave with one frustrating flaw
Only one thing prevented me from giving this nuking machine a five star rating. It has metal feet which cause it to slide every time you open the door or push a button! Not too swift if you have a Formica or Granite counter top or any smooth surface for your kitchen counters! There are a couple of cures for this brain fade on the part of the engineering team that designed it. [1] Place the machine on a rubber dish mat or [2] Order “Slipstick GorillaPads CB147 Non Slip Furniture Pads/Gripper Feet (Set of 16) Self Adhesive Rubber Floor Protectors, 1 inch Round” from Amazon or go to a hardware store or discount home center and get some self-stick anti-slide rubber pads around an inch to an inch and a half, cut them in half and make a semi-circle hole in the middle to go around the small feet on the unit and stick them on. Depending on the thickness of the pad, you may have to apply a second one on top the first. Outside of that, it does a great job or microwaving your food and it easy to use if you read the instruction book first. One more thing, it’s not the greatest of instruction manuals. Know that you have to enter the clock time during your initial setup by entering four digits for time. For example 1:15 should be entered as 0115. They don’t tell you that! While entering the cooking time, entering the left zero isn’t necessary. Farberware are you listening? You can’t put feet that slide on a smooth surface on a microwave!

It’s practical. 👍👍
I basically use a microwave for warming up a plate of food or melting some butter. I do not have the space for anything larger than a 700 watt. And I got the Farberware brand because I have Farberware brand of other cookware that I have used for many years. The Farberware brand has proven to be very dependable for me. Two thumbs up. 😃

Easy to use, but a bit too small and under powered
This small microwave is pretty much okay, but for me it is too small and too under powered. Too small –> it can’t handle a normal size dinner plate. Under powered –> it is rated at 700 W, but it seems to require more time than I expect to heat whatever … soup, leftovers, you name it.The bottom line it that you can find small microwaves here on Amazon which are nearly the same size, but have a bit more capacity and are rated at 900 W. I subsequently found a microwave here on Amazon which was a tad bigger (but still met my size constraint of a max 11 inch height), could accommodate a normal size dinner plate and is rated at 900 W. The 700 W and 900 W microwaves mostly all fall in the same price range. If the slightly larger size of a 900 W unit isn’t ea deal breaker for you, my suggestion is to go with one of those.

Great Price, But there are Drawbacks
On the plus side, it is affordable, light, and easy to set up. On the negative side, compared to larger models, it takes longer to heat; the buttons are harder to push; it is so light that pushing the buttons sometimes causes it to slide on the counter; and the heating chamber is small. For short term or occasional use, it is fine. It would be a good choice for a dorm room, o weekend getaway place, or temporary use until a larger model can be purchased. But as a permanent choice for day in/day out use, I sure miss my larger, built-in microwave that this one has temporary replaced.

simplistic and small footprint
Small footprint and simple to operate. Quality doesn’t look all that great. Door is noisy to open and close. If placed on a granite countertop or any smooth surface it will move every time you open the door. You will have to push the microwave with thumb while opening or use two hands. I ended up getting a silicone mat and now it sits in place. Bad and cheep design for a countertop microwave.

Works good
Good quality, haven’t had any problems with it. Too small for popcorn bags though. I fold the ends of the popcorn bags up to get them to fit, usually works though not always. This is a small microwave like it says, and fits well in a small place. It’s not as easy to open as my last one was, and numbers take more pressure to push, but other than being too small for popcorn it works well. My last microwave was too small for popcorn, too. This one is about an inch larger. Need to save up for a bigger microwave.

Great deal for the price; but 700 Watts is slower cooking and setting time can be a pain.
I got it on a special deal of the day only paying about $84 for it so I can’t complain about the price. It works fine but at 700W I always have to add time for cooking directions as most frozen dishes, or other items are based on using a 1200W Microwave. I don’t have to add a lot of time, but say if it says 4 minutes, I leave it in for five etc. It does require more space than you’d think, so be sure you check the specs for safety, one side they ask for a 4 feet clearance, not sure why, I gave it two and it seems to work without any issues. You’ll also have to remember NOT to put things on top of it (you should have about a 10″ clearance above it, and at least 3 to 4″ behind it. That worked okay on my counter. I have a very limited income so when my old Sylvania died (after giving me some 23 or so good years), another 700W, I had to find an inexpensive replacement and this was it.There is something that I find annoying. When I want to set it to a certain time, I’m so accustomed to just pressing 150 for 1 minute 50 seconds… but if you try that with this machine, as soon as you hit the one, it will begin a one minute timing no more no less, and you’ll have to stop it, and go the longer way. You must push the timer button up top first, when four 0’s appear, THEN you can enter you 150, or 430, or whatever not an even minute timing you wish.It has a nice glass revolving tray inside. I use covers for all of my dishes because microwaved items give off a lot of water vapor since it is the water molecules it stimulates. This is what eventually killed my old machine. I didn’t realize all that moisture was just sitting on top of the inside of my microwave and eventually it rusted. (Yes, of course I regularly cleaned my microwave; but since it rarely got dirty or showed spillage, there might be a week or more before I’d wipe it down. Now I know that by having fairly inexpensive plastic covers (1 large and one small) they will trap most of the steam on them, and a quick wipe across the top of the inside, should keep it from eating away at the metal surface. Anyway, it’s a good buy for the price, it works well. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the MUCH higher priced microwaves–but it does do the job.

MY COLLEGE SON LOVED THIS
My son is in college, and his old microwave just imploded or something. It was disgusting. So, I needed a quick fix. As an Engineering student, he sometimes has to study so hard that it’s no time for the cafeteria, so we make sure to keep his mini fridge and cabinets stocked. This microwave was smaller than his previous one, but he’s an R.A., and has a room all to himself. He loves that the interior is black as well. He loved the ease of the settings. Great for a single person or couple who have no children, a bachelor or bachelorette, or student. Well worth the price.

It’s wimpy and B E E P S far too L O U D but it works.
Let me apologize. I know those of you living within a mile of me keep hearing six long BEEPS from time to time and have no idea where the sound is coming from. No, it’s not a delivery truck backing up in my driveway. I admit it. It’s the microwave we bought to fill in until the replacement arrives (theoretically) on Friday. No, there is no “Mute” option. If I had to keep this for more than a week, I would open it up, find the speaker, and trim its… toenails. We will be looking for a home for it once the replacement is installed but it would be fine for a dorm room. It’s only 700 watts, so not nearly as powerful as our old 1100-watt GE. This means you have to double the cooking time. The Popcorn setting for 3 Oz packages is about 30 seconds too short. It also isn’t vented so when I open it up after having cooked my breakfast sausage, I have to deal with a cloud of smoke.Another caveat. It won’t hold a normal-sized dinner plate. That’s okay, ’cause I’m supposed to eat off smaller plates to conform to my diet.
