Great moisturizer
If you’re looking for some thing for full coverage, this is not the product. However, if you want a daily moisturizer with a fair amount of coverage, this is the perfect product. It has a little bit of shimmer. It makes your face glow.

Dewey sunscreen

Formula Change?
I’ve been using this sunscreen for 3 going on 4 years. I love it, I tell everyone to get it because it’s lightweight, non greasy, hydrating, and should it get near my eyes, doesn’t burn. Well… I just got another one a few days ago and the smell is different, feels very slightly different on the skin, and I noticed a little sensitivity around my eyes….I’ve either gotten some fake product or they’ve changed their formula up. I hope next tube will be “normal”. If it’s not I’ll be super bummed, it took me forever to find one I loved.

Love everything about this but ONE thing!
I bought this to try because I usually buy the EltaMD UV Clear and read this is a great comparison for half the price. First off, the packaging is so pretty and looks very expensive imo. Second, the pump dispenses very well. I also love how soft and almost velvety it makes my skin feel after I apply it. It blends very easily into the skin and unlike most sunscreens I’ve tried, this doesn’t make me look oily but it’s also not drying either. HOWEVER, the smell is pretty bad. Like some of the other reviews, it does smell like melted crayons or cardboard boxes. I wondered if I was getting a faulty product at first but this seems to be normal. The EltaMD UV Clear does not have a smell which might make me consider going back to the extra cost. If Drmtlgy can fix the smell on this I think it would be a home run! As of right now, I don’t know if I’ll purchase another bottle after this one because of the smell.

Non-Greasy daily sunscreen
I just moved to LA so wanted a sunscreen I could wear daily without feeling to greasy as I tend to have combination skin. I’ve started to use this product daily, just one pump and spread onto my face after my skin care routine. I honestly can’t even tell I’m wearing sunscreen which is exactly what I wanted. The only thing I would change is maybe the fragrance to be a little more femme but overall it’s been a good product.

I’m so glad I tried this sunscreen because it’s just what I’ve been looking for. It applies nicely – no pilling, is very moisturizing without being heavy and dries down well with very little shine. It has a slightly odd smell but that goes away fairly quickly. I have very sensitive skin and there was no irritation at all. I like it so much I just ordered 2 more on Prime Days.

This stuff breaks me out every time I wear it unfortunately. The smell isn’t strong and it doesn’t burn, I wish my skin liked it. I have very break-out prone skin so this isn’t to say it’s a bad product, just my experience.

Love/hate relationship with this sunscreen. I was really excited to try a mineral sunscreen that promised no white-cast. This claim held true and the finish and glow were beautiful. However, there are two cons that I can’t get over.Con 1- This requires a 30 minute setting time. I follow manufacturer’s recommendations on how long to wait after application before sun exposure (or makeup application in most cases), and 30 minutes for any sunscreen (but especially a mineral) is a long time…especially in the morning. This turned into my “weekend” sunscreen because I didn’t have that much time to wait to put my makeup on.Con 2- You have to avoid the eye area. One reason I use mineral sunscreens is so I can put them around my eyes for protection without burning or stinging. I didn’t do this a few times out of habit and my eyes burned so bad.

I wanted to find a sunscreen for my acne prone skin and found this. Also wanted to try something new lol. Read through the reviews and saw many great things about the product and decided to purchase it. It’s honestly okay. For me I feel like it leaves my skin to look slightly greasy and I tried shaking the bottle to see if that helps and it’s still the same. Also I did notice there’s a smell, I don’t know how to explain it other than plastic. So it’s an okay product. Maybe I just got a weird bottle or something🤷🏻♀️

A little too dewy/shiny afterward, Slight Smell, Good Job though
This sunscreen definitely does the job! Because of it’s ingredients, it does have a slight smell but not awful. It’s a bit of a greasy feel after it. I’ve been trying different sunscreen. I can say this one leaves your face with a little shine afterward. I was going for a more matte touch. However, great sunscreen and I’d recommend it to others. It’s not my favorite though.

I was sent an open and used product first
When I first got this product, it had absolutely not packaging and it looked like it’s been used. I chose to contact DRMTLGY directly to see how their product is packaged when it’s new to which they said that it has a clear vacuum sealed package and it’s also wrapped in a bubble package. Clearly I was given a used and open product even though I paid for a new product. Luckily they replaced it immediately. As for the product, I like it. I have a sensitive skin and it doesn’t break me out.

Doesn’t break you out
I used to use Elta clear because it was the only one that didn’t cause me breakouts, after the price increase I was looking for more affordable option. I have been using this one for 3 months now and it’s perfect. No breakouts, and no greasy feeling. However, you will need to make sure that the sunscreen have been applied throughly otherwise you will have a slight white cast. Fyi, I am a middle eastrener and am not having an issue with the white cast

Best alternative for EltaMD UV Clear at this price point
As someone who suffered with adult cystic acne, acne-prone oily skin, and has undergone the torture of a six-month round of Accutane, I am very cautious about what I put on my face. My dermatologist recommended I start using EltaMD UV Clear because spf is essential and because it literally will never break me out. The catch is that it’s nearly $40 for less than 2oz; as someone who reapplies sunscreen several times a day, that gets used up rather quickly for me, and I was spending quite a bit of money per month on sunscreen alone. So I started searching for alternatives to the EltaMD UV Clear… I brought this DRMTLGY Clear Face sunscreen to my dermatologist before using it, and she looked at the ingredients and gave it the green light! I still use it up fairly quickly, but at $24, it’s so much more affordable as a nice acne-prone friendly daily sunscreen.It doesn’t sting my eyes at all—like the EltaMD UV Clear, I can put this all around my eyes, even on my eyelids, and it does not sting one bit.It is slightly more shiny than UV Clear, but it’s not a lasting shine. And that’s good for me and my oily skin.No white cast for me. I have white skin with olive undertones.100% breakout free. I’ve not had any breakouts since I switched from UV Clear to this. My skin can’t tell a difference!This is a really great alternative to UV Clear. The best one I’ve found at this price point.

Best Sunscreen for My Oily Skin!
As an oily skin girlie, this is the best sunscreen I’ve used. I bought this specifically because it was listed as fungal acne safe on the website I use to check ingredients of skin products before purchasing. I specifically bought this kind because the site claimed it was good for people with oily skin and isn’t irritating. It certainly is a gem! Most sunscreens I’ve used always left me feeling like a grease ball which, in turn, caused major breakouts due to my sensitive skin. I’m still fighting adult acne and I can’t risk any skin care products causing me more breakouts. I will continuously purchase this sunscreen!P.S. Inout it on in layers to avoid a white cast as a brown skin girl. This sunscreen quickly absorbs into the skin, so layering little by little has been the best method to putting this on for me.

I was looking for a oil-free moisturizer when I came across this product. I’ve never purchased a skincare product specifically for SPF on my face. So far, I’m loving this product. Difficult to Pump, but Seems to Moisturize Pretty Well
You have to prime and prime the pump before it will flow out. It is gravity fed, and the instructions aren’t clear. Once it starts working, it seems to be ok. The product goes on fine without a white film, but does seem to have a slightly greasy feel. It does leave my skin looking moisturized though.

After one day I like it
I am a man so I need a sunscreen that does not leave a cast on my beard and this does not leave a cast at all as long as you rub it in a little (which you are supposed to do). I see some people complain about the smell but it is merely the smell of the ingredients, which is impossible to avoid. Unless you are a very picky person, you should have no problem with the smell and you will be hard pressed to find an unscented product that doesn’t have at least some smell. This does not sting the eyes very much either as I put it all over my eyelids. The Neutrogena I used to use stung badly and left a cast on my beard. This sunscreen leaves a slight shine (a woman might call it dewey I suppose) so I do wish it was more matte, but that is being nit picky. But the shine does seem to lessen over time. As long as it does not cause irritation/breakouts, I will continue to use, but it is too early to tell if that will happen. Overall, very good product for men with beards as long as you rub it in as you are supposed to do with a sunscreen. It is also moisturizing so no need for a separate moisturizer. I will update if it breaks me out though.
