Sad face!
Oh man! This was my FAVORITE eyeshadow! But today it broke off and landed in the toilet!! I have only used it a handful of times because I don’t go out much but man when it broke I almost cried! Love this color and this shadow though! I’ll have to save up for a new one! I rarely spend money on make up so its gonna have to wait!

Doesn’t crease!
Wears long and doesn’t crease so it’s great to use when working out in the yard or boating. As far as it being sheer, I didn’t really think it was but I didn’t buy it for that so I’m happy with it just wish it came with a highlighter shade, I use the powder for that but it definately doesn’t last as long as this product does.

Great eyeshadow!
I bought this in the Champagne shimmer color because I wanted a more plain color to put on quickly on work days. It goes on so smooth and stayed all day without getting cakey in my crease. It’s really subtle and nice. I’m going to buy more colors for non-work days too!

I like it
I got the white and the crayon is nice and soft so no pulling on the skin and the consistency is good and creamy. Goes on easy and I can go as heavy or light as I want with the coverage and it lasted all day. I am so happy with this product that I am going to get more.

Where has this been all my life?!
I absolutely love this! I’ve been using Clinique chubby stick eye shadows, but this formula is creamier and I love the smudger on the end. I’m going back to buys some other colors.

Pleasantly surprised!
Not only did this arrive in perfect condition, but I’m very pleased with the smoky grey shade! It glides on easily and looks great – I tried it without primer and will see how well it holds up. I’m an older “boomer” and don’t normally go for sparkly makeup, but this stick has just enough shimmer to be flattering. One caveat, go easy with the sponge tip because (IMHO) it tends to remove color rather than blend. Recommended!

Best creme to powder eye sticks I’ve ever used.
They go on so smooth and silky and the colors are soft and are just enough to complement the eyes. They do not sink into creases and leave lines. I love all of the colors I’ve got from Julep, especially this Periwinkle and their Putty, which is a great all over eyelid shade. Glad to find them on Amazon and will buy again and again. Julep is definitely a brand to try.

Julep Creme to Powder Eyeshadow
This product performed as described. It went on smooth and creamy and I was able to blend it right away. The end result is a natural shade. You can go for a darker shade also by applying more and blending with the sponge on the other side of the eyeshadow wand. I will purchase again.

Love it!
I’m not going to say that I know a lot about makeup stuff, but this is legit the best eyeshadow I’ve ever used. It’s so smooth and the color (taupe shimmer) is perfect. The last time I was this happy with an eyeshadow was back in the 80s when my mom had this Mary Kay stuff that you got wet and then brushed on. I swear I’ve just been searching for that same feeling all these years. Finally found it!

It does shimmer!
I really like the color/look of this eyeshadow stick. If you’re looking for something that’s shimmery, this is a good one! I find I like the product best when i just apply only a little to eyelids. I did not give it 5 stars because it’s a bit pricy for me. But will probably buy again, especially if i find it on sale or can find a coupon.

Nice formula but color inaccurate
Just wanted to post this for anyone considering the Lilac Matte color. The picture made me think it was more of a dusty cool pink color, but the name was more accurate – it’s really more of a very pale purple. On my eye it comes across as basically white/grey. I really like the formula – creamy, dries down and lasts all day – but the color just didn’t work for me. Of course makeup looks so different on different people and it’s so hard to figure out makeup colors from product photos, so I appreciate that Amazon/Julep allowed a return for this.

Nice, not great
I bought this because it was in deep discount for Prime Days, and I was looking for an inexpensive dupe to the Thrive Shimmer stick that I am almost out of.At the price I paid, I’m happy with the product, but it’s not nearly as good as the Thrive. It’s a bit more on the sparkly side, rather than a soft shimmer. But it blends well- a bit too well if you aren’t careful. The rubber end is more like an eraser, so I recommend dabbing with a finger if you want noticeable color. It’s also quite pink rather than the Champaign color I was hoping for. Upside is that it dries much like the Thrive into a powder that stays in place until you wash it off. I have older-ish skin (late 40s) and it doesn’t settle into any fine lines.So, at 50% less than the cost of the Thrive, it is worth it. But I don’t think I’ll purchase again unless there’s another sale. Most days I go over it with at least one swipe of the Thrive stick to soften and brighten the appearance.

Easy to use, poor product design
I love this shadow and have kept using it for years. It’s creamy and forgiving, super easy to apply. It stays where you put it but doesn’t last through the day (I don’t mind this past so much).However the design is lacking and allows for too much product waste. The eyeshadow stick is shaped like a long pill and constantly falls out of the tube. When there’s about 1/4 left it’s level with the tube and you can no longer use the product as designed.

Rose shimmer not so rosey
Love the eyeshadow sticks in general. But just wanted to say that the rose shimmer is not nearly a pink as I had wanted it to be. Doesn’t look like picture. Much more beigey bronzey golden and not so much pinky. The color is so off. I’m wondering if it was manufactured wrong and wrong color put into the wrong tube.

The best
The best eyeshadow pencil! I use that as my eyeliner and it does NOT smudge any!! Stays on all day with NO smudge at the end of the day!!! I will never use anything else for eyeliner. I have it several colors, but the cocoa shimmer is my favorite for my green eyes. I will also alternate with their army green color for eyeliner as well for a pop.

Every bit as fabulous as the influncers say it is and I was sceptical! I work in healthcare and this last all day but is easy to remove without remover and the color matches any skin type. I don’t leave the house without it and carry it in my purse on trips as well. I was pleasantly impressed!

Stays on, does not smudge, does not irritate
I love this I have not worn eyeliner in probably seven years because every eyeliner smudges on me I live in a very humid hot area. This stays on does not smudge does not irritate. Everything irritates my eyes, and I never wear my make up because everything irritates me. I don’t have to wear mascara because I coat my lashes and eyed my eyes with this as well, so just gives my eyes some definition.

Goes on smooth and evenly
Just received these in 2 different colors. These pencils are very blendable and don’t leave clumps behind as some do. I was afraid the blue color might be too dark, but it’s more sheer than it appears to be. You can layer it for a more dramatic look or blend with a cotton swab.

High Pigmented Eyeshadows!!!
A few swipes across your eyelid and you have all-day wear eyeshadow! I used the built-in smudger to help soften the edges a bit. A good portion of the product does come off on the smudger, so I may end up using one of my blender brushes for a more natural look. I love how many colors this brand has to choose from! I tend to stay with the shimmer and metallics, since the matte colors are quite stark. Every skin tone is taking into consideration with regards to the color selection! I like that there’s some neutral colors to choose from, too! Overall, I would recommend this brank of eye shadow hands down! The pigments cannot be beat, and the all-day wear with no creasing, is a game changer!

These colors are beautiful, and it is so easy to use!
I was excited to try these after I grabbed some on sale around Christmas time. They glide on so easy and the color is so beautiful. They go on like a cream and dry to a powder like feel, so your eyelids don’t feel sticky. Each one also comes in with a built-in smudger which works great. I love the look and it lasts all day. I bought some for myself, my teenage daughter, my niece and my sister and we all LOVE it! I’ll definitely be buying more.

Great eye shadow.
I somehow ran cross this eyeshadow and am so glad I did. What a great product and great value. Eyeshadow tends to not last long for me but this does. It is easy to apply and stays on all day long. So many great color choices too. I gifted some to my daughter and she loves it as well.

Goes on Sheer
This eyeshadow is a nice color, but goes on much sheerer than you’d expect. Definitely have to build the color up. I would recommend putting on a primer first to hold the color longer. It does not last as long as some other stick shadows I have tried. I do really like how easy it is to use and the small size makes it easy to throw in your bag if you need to touch up later. Overall, a good buy.

Beautiful shimmer!
This eyeshadow cream is so so so gorgeous! It goes on so smoothly and you are able to smooth out, but the does not go anywhere! It has the most beautiful shimmer, giving your eyelids some sparkle! Can go over other shadows or used by itself for a more subtle look.

Received a used item! Color had unexpected glitter in it.

I was able to get a close look at it, and I was immediately disappointed with the color “mixture.” The item I selected wouldn’t have worked for me, regardless of any other issue.I’ve been curious about these eyeshadow sticks for a long time. I wanted to test them out years ago, but they seemed kind of pricey for my budget. I don’t like to spend more than I’m used to on an item I have no certainty will work as claimed. But then my friend told me she bought a stick on discount, and it was a game changer for her. (Easy to use, easy to blend, buildable color, quick application, lasts long, looks natural, etc.) She said she bought more and suggested I at least try one. She insisted they were worth the regular price… finding one on discount was just a bonus. We’re very much alike in what we look for in beauty cosmetics, so I was intrigued. I also saw there were a ton more reviews on Amazon than the last time I checked, and the majority of them seemed highly positive. So, I went for it. I felt I had the amount of guarantee I needed to justify testing this thing out.I got the sheer shimmery pink color to use as a highlighter and on the inner corner of my eyes for a brightening effect. But that’s not going to happen now. After I received my used product, I took a closer look at the reviews on Amazon – mostly to see if anyone mentioned unexpected problems with the same color I ordered. Instead, I noticed there were quite a bit of people who received what appeared to be used products, too!This is highly disappointing considering this brand seemed to have made a good name for itself over the last few years. I was really excited to finally try their infamously convenient and water-resistant eyeshadow stick. You’d think they’d be more careful about the products they’re sending out – especially for what they’re charging.My eyeshadow stick was undoubtedly used before I received it. Box was slightly crushed with signs of having been opened. The tip of the eyeshadow was smudged and there was product smeared on the outside of the barrel. If all that wasn’t proof enough, the sponge tip had makeup residue on it as if someone fully tried every part of this thing out.I can’t speak for the application and wear quality of the item because I’m not willing to risk transferring potential bacteria to my eyes, face, or even the back of my hand. I can say the expectation of the product was not met, right off the bat. I can also add that I was surprised that there looked to be big chunks of glitter in the shimmery sheer pink eyeshadow and on the sponge tip. (I wasn’t expecting such large specks of actual GLITTER to be in the mix. It wasn’t shown on the advertised photos or explicitly stated that cheap glitter would be used. I did expect some fine mineral-like shimmer, but not cheap glitter.)I’d suggest that if you buy this product, you thoroughly inspect it upon receiving it. Having cosmetics melt or break during shipment is one thing. But being sold a used product (advertised as new) is absolutely unacceptable. Especially, when there’s evidence of it be a reoccurring issue for this particular product.I’m debating whether or not I want to try ordering another color – only because my friend was raving about this eyeshadow like it was the best product she has found to date. If I do decide to take another chance, I’d likely play it safe and choose a matte shade. I can handle some amount of “shimmer,” but I feel I’m a bit too old and I don’t get dressed up enough to decorate my eyes with glitter. (I cannot stress enough: This was straight up large specks of GLITTER – almost like you’d find in a craft store or in young teens’ cheap & trendy makeup – mixed in with an otherwise nice looking shimmery/pearlescent color.)I’m just worried I’ll get another used product… or that the product was otherwise kept in unsanitary/uncertain conditions before I received it. I just don’t understand how this issue could happen so often. (Search thru the product reviews for yourself and count the number of complaints. You may not find it to be excessive, but I do. It really should be more of a rare occurrence. I haven’t found this many complaints of used/questionable products when researching other cosmetics I’m also interested in trying.)Also, avoid the shimmery sheer light pink color… unless you’re ok with random large specks of glitter. Then maybe go for it. The overall main color appeared nice with some shimmer to it already.

Beautiful shimmer!
I really love these eyeshadow sticks overall. I think the colors are gorgeous and I was pleasantly surprised with how long they last without creasing! I don’t use an eyeshadow primer, I just sweep it only my lid and then use a brush to help blend out the edges. The eyeshadow stick has a blending sponge on the other end of it, but I have found it to be difficult to use and counterproductive as it seems to wipe the product off more than blend it. I wore this for a full 8 hour work day with little to no creasing.Don’t let the product sit on your eyes too long before you blend because once it sets/dries it will be much harder to blend or get off. I have been able to take it off using micellar water or just some soap and water.

nice eyeshadow, love the sponge end
This is my 2nd order of this brand shadow. I ordered one a couple mos ago & liked it. Both colors I got were “matte” as I’m older and don’t want shimmer. They apply easily and I love the sponge end to smooth it out – great not to have to use a brush or my finger. The matte colors are subtle, they last relatively well, there is no creasing.

Charcoal Matte is less Charcoal more GREY
If you are interested in this color just know it’s a cool toned grey. It doesn’t come up that color in the photos I tried to get so I didn’t attach them. If you have brown toned skin just know it’s not going to give a super dark black, or brown black or charcoal kind of a look. You’ll get a soft mid tone cool grey. You can use it to achieve something like a smokey eye but it will be softer than what is likely your typical idea of a smokey eye. It’s sort of a gun metal grey. Looks brown grey in the container and cool grey on the skin. I hope this helps.I’m giving 4 stars because it’s not what I needed. It looks fine and it’s workable. Smooth going on. Didn’t irritate. But the product pictures don’t make the color that it really is apparent.

Great every day shades!
I’m in my late 30s and it’s starting to show in my skin. Wrinkles and crepeyness around my eyes makes powder formulations look very bad on my skin. According to the beauty gurus of the interwebs, a cream eyeshadow is the answer to all my problems and, since this is the #1 selling eyeshadow on Amazon I was both suspicious and intrigued. Anyway, they seem alright. Manageable for someone like me who doesn’t wear a lot of makeup, who doesn’t want to do anything too complicated anymore and just wants to look nice or like they put a little more effort than nothing into their daily look.I chose 3 shades, all of which I’m wearing in the photo: Desert Matte for the inner corner and under my brow, Ochre Matte for my crease and Champagne Shimmer to highlight the middle of my lid. I like them all just fine but (and maybe it’s just because they’re cold from being delivered in January) the champagne shimmer didn’t seem to want to apply as readily as the matte shades did.All in all, I love the subtle look they give and I trust they’re a new staple in my daily makeup look. 10/10 would order again. I fact I have a few more shades I’m looking forward to trying soon.
