Broke the screen on our last 1 that our child uses this was quick to get to replace it(same model) luckily with amazon we can pay monthly and its ready to work straight out the box. No issues can still use you tube , roblox and the game apps along with browsing the net.

Cheap but workable
Not a bad product, very cheap for a tablet but you get what you pay for. Not the quickest and quality isn’t amazing but it has its place. Definitely worth buying if you have prime as you can stream, read and research all in one place with little effort.

Surprised how good it is
I purchased this as a kitchen tablet for recipes and light media consumption. I found it to be excellent size and quickly became my favourite tablet. It’s got a great screen, superb audio and quite responsive. App store is not as good as Apple or Google but I don’t think anyone would think it would be. My media apps (Prime Video, BBC, ITV, etc) all work very well. Best attribute for me is size (it’s light and portable), screen quality, and my Kindle books look great. Highly recommend and it’s an incredible bargain.

Great size for a tablet and great price
Very happy with Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet. Bought as a replacement for a Amazon Fire HD 10, got water damaged, but due to its size, weight, clarity it is a great replacement for pure Kindle Readers, very easy to use in this regard. Added benefit is that it connects easily to the internet and supports the purchase of new kindle books through the amazon login. The kindle original option of purchasing books no longer works so this a pretty seamless way to read and purchase kindle books in 2024. Added to this is the ability to watch catch up tv and amazon prime(if you have it) is a slight surprise as the screen display is quite small but the quality is superb so for one person streaming internet content it is ideal.

Brilliant
This tablet is amazing value (I got it in the Boxing Day sale 50% off) although it is worth paying full price, it does everything you could possibly want from a tablet although it has limited apps on the amazon app store, but it’s simple to download google, you can also download Microsoft from amazon for free. It’s so easy to setup and use, even for someone with no tech knowledge, battery life seems very good around 12 hrs. It feels sturdy and good quality casing. It’s definitely well worth the money for a very decent tablet, so far I can’t find any fault with it. I’m totally delighted with this purchase.

Cheap, cheerful and basic
Treated myself to a fire tablet on Black Friday. I just needed a tablet to watch movies on- and for that it’s perfect. Set up was very easy, I downloded Netflix, YouTube and bbc Iplayer with no issues.So some drawbacks- it’s a bit clunky and glitchy. Touchscreen isn’t very..smooth? It seems to lag a bit and I find I need a press a few times or very hard. It has froze on me before and restarted but as I said- it’s cheap and basic, so not expecting much anyway, but it’s a good little tablet nonetheless.

Love the kindle fire
Have many kindles over the years in various models (myself, mother and children). We’ve had I pads, but they’re expensive for casual use. Perfect for reading, TV, browsing the usual Internet sites. Haven’t used for more complex work. Access most of the apps but the amazon app store is limited. Easy to side load other apps if needed. They’re a bargain tablet with a great screen, sound and very robust. Only ever bought when there been on offer. Never paid full price for any of the 4+ I’ve purchased so keep an eye out for the multiple discounts available during the year.

Best Value 8″ Tablet on the Market! (Nothing else Compares for the Price.)
Best Value 8″ HD Tablet on the Market! 1) Excellent Build Quality all-Round, gives the impression you could drop this unit and it would take some abuse. Great for Kids? 2) Improved Performance mine has 2GB RAM, Quad Processor (2022 12th Gen) Android 9.. I also put a 128gb SD card in mine, simple to do I know have my personal media library playing on it, and it is crystal clear, very enjoyable. Performs pretty well on everything. Certainly for everything I have asked it to do. 3) Dolby Atmos Sound all beit two small speakers the Sound quality from Amazon Music and my SD Card through VLC are exemplory, Crystal clear for what it is. 4) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Functionailty was A1 Quite Brilliant. Once it knows your Boombar links straight to it each time when you want it. again given the Cost this is a superb Small Unit. DOWNSIDE? Not sure i would buy it if i was stuck with Silk Browser and just the Amazon Apps, Goodread, Audible, Amazon Kids etc…The first thing i do is put Firefox before doing any serious Web Browsing. Most secure and Independent Browser available – it is free also. It is really annoying Amazon that you cant uninstal Apps like any other App? that you wont need or use. Every User wants to Configure for their particular Preferences? – dont you Amazon People? STOP Stopping Customers from configuring it. If i was stuck with Silk Browser – A Major Security Risk online in this day and age. i wouldn’t buy it. So apart from ending up with a dozen Apps i cant uninstall because i will never use them and they take resources they are parked on the Basement now cluttering the desktop – Annoying very!. Overall, in my opinion Buying this Tablet is a No-Brainer for £65 but you need a level of knowledge to set it up like any other Tablet in the Market! But, I give Total Credit to Amazon, their Hardware is Absolutely Faultess in Quality and Performance, i have found this across the board TV Sticks etc…. In my opinion if Amazon Product Team Opened their eyes and stopped making it just Amazon, (you say you put playstore on? I couldn’t see it – but no real problem) then you have no Competition in value terms and it is Brilliant for kids – it cannot be beaten for price. The only other enhancement i would love to see would be a sim option to use outdoors. Really nice screen on my motorbike for the Sat Nav etc this would really open up the practical uses for it? it is definately durable enough to manage it well i am sure. Great – very impressed
Bought this as an upgrade for my first Kindle which I traded in. The screen resolution is great and if it lasts as long as my previous Kindle, I’ll be very impressed. It has a good amount of memory and downloads everything really fast. I went for the ad free version which I’d recommend. Bought this on a pre-black Friday deal so the price was impressive too.

Good budget tablet for the basics
I got this on the black Friday sale, needed a tablet for travelling. Quality of the screen is good, as is the sound quality, battery life is also pretty impressive. Alot to like about it, its a very good budget tablet for sure. I don’t personally like that I can’t change the background lock screen from the amazon logo but its minor I suppose. It’s much better with google play store installed, you can find the instructions on installing it online but would have liked it if it came preinstalled but I suppose it is an amazon tablet. It can get laggy if you have too much open and does crash sometimes for no reason. But overall it performs well with things like reading, Youtube, Tik Tok, browsing etc. I’m happy with it for the price.If you want a budget tablet for the basics and this is on a deal go for it, its worth it.

Bargain Black Friday Deal!
Great tablet for the kids. £50 on black Friday couldn’t go wrong so bought three of them to replace the Fire 7s. I wouldn’t pay any higher or get the kids versions for the case, there’s plenty of cheap great cases you can buy separately. The kids mainly use for YouTube, Netflix etc but with so many apps they love constantly playing and downloading games as well. Parent controls are great having my kids have to get permission to download etc receiving emails to confirm or deny is so simple and effective. I would like one myself to be honest so I’d definitely recommend.

Quality kindle?
Right, why is it you do your research check specs and prices, spend days deciding, commit and buy it and two weeks later it’s suddenly cheaper??? I think going slightly bigger and faster would have been better but prices mount fast. What I do like is you can get Disney and itvx apps in addition to pre installed stuff, choosing Amazon to link it to your account is very useful and in my view preferably without ads even though it costs more. When you compare it to an older model kindle hd it’s clear the older robust quality materials are only going in one direction, so sad my old one can’t be registered again as it was an old faithful tool but without spending hours on chat bots or helpful people that suggest you change your password again the newer one suffices. As a reader it’s great, sluggish if you want to browse the internet, good watching moves on prime, pretty essential to make the most of your subscription

Replacement for Fire 7 tablet, worth every penny
I had a Fire 7 tablet for years I used for reading books and graphic novels, but it was starting to struggle with being slow and sluggish.Bought this HD8 whilst on offer and the speed difference is staggering. The extra screen size helps too as I’m getting older.My only real gripe is that the apps I used for reading that I had installed on my Fire 7 aren’t on the Amazon Marketplace anymore and they wouldn’t transfer across when I set the HD8 up so I had to find alternatives.

I bought this for an old lady who reads a lot but has never used the internet. It is so easy to use that she is finally getting into the power of the internet. Currently, it’s mainly books and the radio but she is also finding the benefits of Alexa. The screen is clear and the home page is easy to configure.

good budget if you want a bigger screen to watch movies, as well as play lightweight games in amazon appstore. don’t expect more than that, as the tablet can’t even run notion (a notetaking app) and most sideloaded app smoothly.64g is unnecessary, you can’t have that much app installed without severe system lag

A much improved product.
I’ve always had kindles, finding them easier to manage than books due to sensory issues with the smell of printed paper and the text sometimes being too small or difficult to read due to the font used. I bought myself this as a Christmas present to myself due to it being on offer, I also purchased a memory card with it as I remembered buying a kids kindle for my daughter and memory being an issue.I’m really impressed with this new kindle though, I’ve mainly bought it for when I am staying out in my campervan for watching movies and reading as well as using the internet.

I missed out on the Black Friday half price sale , because I couldn’t decide whether to get one or not . When I did decide to get one , the price went back up . Then I noticed a returned tablet at the Black Friday price for sale , with a thirty day warranty and return, so went for that ,The Tablet looks unused , everything inside the box as new , except the box itself , which was ripped in places , but it was delivered in Amazon cardboard packaging .Apart from a surprisingly longish time to recharge it , compared to my cheap android TeleCast tablet , I’m pleased with this buy at the price I paid .

Really good
I was looking at kindles but the prices seemed quite high for what they are so i saw this and thought it was worth a try, screen size is really good and using it 2-3 hrs a night as a kindle the battery lasts a week which i think is really good and there is the option to use it as a tablet if needed, i would definitely recommend thus to anybody that is looking for an e-reader and i would buy it again if i needed to especially when the price is reduced in prime days

Ok for reading and Amazon shopping
It’s a kindle fire so you won’t be able to add apps from Google play store. I literally only use it for reading kindle books and Amazon shopping. It’s a good size for reading, light enough to hold for hours and the battery life is great. Good value for £50 for what I use it for.

Good end of average for 50
The one I received appears to be a returned item. Arrived turned on and partially through the installation process. Two very minor scratches on the main screen and no protective film on the screen, but I don’t know if that’s normal. Other than that, it appears fairly standard for an android tablet at the budget end of the spectrum, screen is bright enough, touch control is reasonably sensitive and accurate, sound is very quiet but I expect most will use headphones.

Light and versatile light tablet
This came straight out of the box already set up to my Wi-Fi and Alexa, so there was nothing for me to do except for me to select the language.It came on a Black Friday deal so was 50% off and was payable over 5 weeks, so was purchased from the get go for £10! The tablet is meant for entertainment packages and internet browsing and is very light so ideal to use in bed. The screen resolution is superb and the sound quality is okay for close proximity.It comes with a variety of preinstalled apps and you can install other apps that you want. It’s a kindle reader so really versatile. All in all I’m really happy with it.

Not really much difference to my previous tablet. I find they are brilliant for my emails, games etc. and for the price you can’t go wrong. The only thing I would like is Google Play Store, as sometimes when I am on the tablet a game will be recommended but, unfortunately, I can’t get it as Amazon don’t do Google. Apart from that I would recommend the tablet. (My husband says I am never off it!) I really do like my Fire tablets!

Updated & upgraded
This is my 5th Kindle and a big improvement on the older models. The battery life is superb, screen quality good and as ever simple to use. The main thing that has let my pervious versions down is the relatively short lifespan they seem to have, I never seem to get more than a couple of years out of them before they die so hoping this one is a little longer lived.
