Perfect Balance of Sweet and Salty
I have always found toffee peanuts addictive, so this may not be unbiased but I’ll try. THE PEANUTS: there are a few peanuts (maybe 5%) in the pack with no coating. By eating these alone, I can say the nut base used was fairly fresh. I did not taste bitter oil or salt. They are quite crunchy. THE TOFFEE: the package lists the ingredients as Peanuts, Sugar and Salt, so the coating is basic and free of preservatives. The flavor is a perfect balance of sweet and salty. There is a warning on the package that “crystallized sugar can be hard” and I agree the coating is not to be trifled with. Overall, I am completely satisfied with these, especially given the 20% discount I got with a Lightning Deal.

Not quite what I expected
I bought these because a local specialty grocery store used to sell what I called candy-coated peanuts or ale nuts. They had a sweet outer shell and they were a great mix of salty and sweet. These were so thickly coated with the sugary coating that it was too sweet and extremely hard! Be careful not to break a tooth!

My husband ordered them (and he NEVER uses our amazon account…)… he read reviews for many other brands before ordering these (he’s picky and had tried them all).Well… within 24 hours of receiving them, they are gone. I was able to snag 5 (five peanuts… just 5).. the kids were denied even a taste. He consumed them all and is now pouting for more. They are the best. And yes, I really enjoyed my 5 peanut sampling as well ;)5 stars.Ps – he was most impressed that you went to Great lengths to satisfy a customer that had a slight issue… he is also picky about what companies he likes to support… you all got a thumbs up in that category, too.Best wishes for continued success!!!

THE BEST TOFFEE NUTS OUT THERE!
I have loved butter toffee nuts since the early 1960s. Morrow’s Nut House, Lipmann Wolfe Co., Chippers, and Adams and Brooks. I have been bitterly disappointed with the quality, and consistency of toffee nuts for many years now. Don’t you love breaking a tooth on hard sugar pellets hidden in with the regular nuts?..or getting a rotten one that kills your taste for them? Today, this is an altogether too common outcome. I am happy to say, JAYBEE’S TASTY TOFFEE PEANUTS are as good, or better than my happy memories of bygone toffee nuts!! Consistantly great, no time-bomb hard ones, no bad ones…just delicious!! They don’t even need salt. The proportions are excellent and consistant. You can’t go wrong with Jaybee’s.

Big and crunchy with plenty of toffee
I used to get toffee peanuts from time to time. It has become hard to find them in the snack isle. One day I had a craving and started looking all over town. Finally found some in a gas station. Those were very skimpy on Toffee.These toffee peanuts are the best I’ve had. Plenty of toffee, nice crunch, and great flavor – Ummm!

Nothing artficial about these nuts
Pretty good tasting snack. I think it is a little bit overpriced for some sugar coated peanuts. The flavor was good but I miss the buttery flavor of most toffee coated nuts. There is no butter in this. Just peanuts, sugar and salt so if you are a purist and watching out for fat, this might be just the ticket. That being said, we certainly had no problem scarfing down the entire jar fairly quickly. My family all liked them but I’m not sure we would order again unless the price was reduced.

These taste great, but they are very hard. You could lose a filling
I love toffee and peanuts. I’ve eaten these about halfway down, but everytime I wonder if it’s going to crack my crown, of break a filling. It’s almost like biting gravel. Or closer to biting dum-dum suckers. I will not buy these again.

Tasty, but not the best
I am a big fan of Toffee Peanuts. I thought i’d try a new brand, but I don’t think i’ll reorder. These are average at best. The coating didn’t fall off like with other lower quality brands, but the peanuts do taste a bit stale. It’ll hold me over until I order a new batch, but I think i’ll try something else next time as these just are as fresh as others.

Change in Recipe?
I have ordered this product many times, and my husband and I have always enjoyed it; we’ve said that these were the best toffee peanuts we’ve ever found. Our most recent order, however, has very different flavor and texture. The product is fresh, as always, but the coating has a new, distinct flavor of coconut oil, and the texture is grittier. We both noticed the differences immediately. I wonder if cost and/or supply chain problems inspired a change in recipe. If so, please use old recipe and just raise the price. It’s worth it. If there has been no change, something is off. We’re unlikely to order these again.

TOO SCRUMPTIOUS FOR MERE WORDS
After recalling my great fondness for BUTTER TOFFEE PEANUTS from my days in high school out of the vending machine….too many years ago to count, I bought another brand on Amazon. I waa terribly disappointed. I bought this brand in hopes it would be better. Well JAYBEE’S TOFFEE PEANUTS are indeed TASTY along with MARVELOUS,DELICIOUS, SCRUMPTIOUS, LOADED WITH CRUNCHY BUTTERY TOFFEE COATING and TOO GOOD TO BE A LEGAL SUBSTANCE!!!!!! (Probably too long worded to put on the label)

A nice toffee-coated peanut.
I really liked the flavor of these but they are a tad pricey so I eked them out to last longer (which is’t a bad thing 🙂 since they can be a bit addictive!) . The flavor was not too sickenly sweet like some other brands I have tried in the past, I combined a little of these with salted mixed nuts for just the right balance for my taste buds. I expect to order again and do recommend them.

Very Tasty Toffee Nuts Hard to Bite Down On
How do you review something that you really like, but in likely-hood would not purchase again? These nuts are very delicious, but so hard to bite down on that those of us with compromised teeth (Caps and Implants) probably should avoid. Sorry Jaybee.

Worth the Price??
For some reason, toffee peanuts are hard to find these days so for the second time, I thought I’d try a find through Amazon. I’ve never had or heard of Jaybee’s before but they were pretty good…not the best I’ve had BUT the flavor possibly would’ve been a bit more palatable – if not for the price $12.95 for 20 ounces seems like a lot.

which I really enjoy very much
You may have seen my review of P-Nuttles, which I really enjoy very much. But when I was looking for those, I ran across Jaybee’s toffee peanuts and saw that the reviews for it were even slightly better than for P-Nuttles, so I decided to try them. OMG! Reviewers were right! The toffee coating is markedly thicker, and it adheres completely to a significantly greater proportion of the nuts. The flavor is as good as P-Nuttles, otherwise. I found these 20-oz tubs to be the perfect gifts for my neighbors this year, despite the sugar, salt and peanut content. Hey, they’re always re-giftable!

Peanuts, sugar, salt, no artificial ingredients
I wanted to love these peanuts. I love that the ingredient list is very short: peanuts, sugar, and salt. No additives or unnecessary ingredients. But the coating is really thick, more so than I like. Not enough to make me think I’ll break a tooth or anything, I just like a thinner coating. It’s a good quality product.

Can crack a tooth!
I got these for my dad for Father’s Day. He made a face when he tried them, so he gave me a bite. The flavor was good–nice balance of salty and sweet–but, man were these things hard! It was like eating concrete-coated rocks. For a “gourmet” nut, I expected better. They were so hard, I told him not to eat any more of them. Well, he did. Now he’s got some extensive dental work lined up to repair a cracked tooth. I’m now daughter of the year!

HARD AS ROCKS!
I decided to try these instead of my usual brand (Fishers) and that was a big mistake. They are so hard you could break your teeth if not careful. The flavor is just average. They do present nicely and the coating stays in place but looks are not more important than flavor.

No Toffee Flavor
I’ve tested a few Toffee Peanuts and these are very underwhelming. There is hardly toffee flavor and it seems stale with minimal crunch. This is the second time I’ve purchased it and I wouldn’t recommend this brand.

Poor taste, too thick
I performed my own Taste Comparison between four brands of Butter Toffee Peanuts. In order of preference:Fisher Butter Toffee Peanuts, 42oz, 5-starP-Nuttles Butter Toffee Peanuts, 44oz, 4-starToffee Boy Butter Toffee Peanuts, 45oz, 4-starJaybee’s Toffee Peanuts, 37oz, 2-starFisher has a well-balanced taste and came with a small amount of shells/powder. Sugar is listed as first in the ingredients, but the candy shell is thin and holds up well.P-Nuttles is tied in second with Toffee Boy. Both have a good balance between butter and sugar and both list peanuts as the first ingredient. The P-Nuttles had an excessive amount of shells/powder; well over a cup. Toffee Boy had more than Fisher. While it’s impossible to have none, both shipping and processing contribute to having SOME shell/powder and some makers can do better.Last place is Jaybee’s. This is not listed as a Butter Toffee product, and in fact doesn’t list butter as an ingredient. I’m including it because Amazon lists it with the Butter Toffee products. Yes, you can make Toffee from toasting sugar, and that’s what they did. Peanuts are listed as the first ingredient, but you’d never tell by eating them. The shell is VERY thick making these candies nearly double the size of the others. This huge candy shell is HARD. In fact, there is a warning on the product “CRYSTALLIZED SUGAR CAN BE HARD.” All you can taste is sugar! It overpowers the peanuts and has no other flavor. (at least to me) I threw them out.

The items are over carmelized so you got a rock sometimes with a nut inside and sometimes without. They can probably break a tooth. Not a good butter toffee taste

Love the flavor! Sweet with a salty tang. They are very hard tho. You have to suck on the big ones for a bit before you can bite them. I had to check the expiration date to make sure they were fresh. They were! You won’t be disappointed with the taste and flavor

Believe reviews about too many hard pieces
Just as other people have reported there are some incredibly hard impossible to eat peanuts in the container. Tooth shattering hard!Also, the toffee to peanut ratio is slanted far far to the toffee side. I read reviews complaining about it, but thought “I love toffee” no such thing..there is. Sometimes, what appears as a nice sized peanut, is over half toffee.These two things;hard pieces and too much toffee coating makes these a do not order again item.They do have a great taste, buttery sweet (maybe too sweet) flavor, but I can’t get past the two other things.

Toffee but no butter
Not sure what they should taste like but to me it’s pure sugar and stale, not sure what happened to the quality of the product but this is not what it used to be.Just wanted to update my review and let everyone know that I was issued a refund for the item and I didn’t even ask for a refund, that was a nice thing to do on the vendors part two thumbs up..

Super sweet
These are good BUT have a thick sugar shell on them. They are crunchier than the average toffee peanut too. You might think you’re getting a lot of peanuts but they are really bulky and end up not being $20 worth in my opinion. I like sugar – clearly as I ordered them- but these killed it with the thickness. Just a heads up these are way bigger than typical toffee/ candied peanuts.

Good nuts
This came same day and since I was craving toffee peanuts it was awesome! Didn’t quite give 5 stars since the nuts were a little gummy & stuck together, in other words not quite as crunchy as hoped for, BUT the weather here was almost 100 degrees the day they arrived so they may have gotten over heated in a delivery truck. A few good shakes got them to loosen up although it also knocked the toffee off a good number of nuts, but the flavor was good and we gobbled down the whole jar!

Don’t waste your money – stale rancid taste
Not sure when these were made, but they have an old stale rancid taste.Just as another review described taste of bad cooking oil.No toffee taste either.Completely disappointed and Amazon says they’re non returnable.Waste of money

Soooo I bought these a couple of months ago, and this will be my fifth jar. Problem is, I can’t seem to not eat the entire pound in less than two days!!!!!! There’s a good chance you may see me on my 600lb life advertising these things 🤣I figured since I’m becoming a toffee nut connoisseur, I’d compare them to something else. In this case, Fisher butter toffee nuts. Let me tell you, fisher nuts are not bad by any means, but dayum! These Jaybees are crazy good. So good, I am now a Jaybee nut junkie. I’ll be fat sure, but I’ll be eating the best damn toffee nuts in the industry. That’s what’s up!!!
