Best Milk Storage Bags
These are my absolute favorite milk storage bags! I’ve been using them for over a year and they have never leaked once! They have a simple section for you to write your child’s name, the current date, and the ounces you are freezing. I lay it flat and it freezes perfectly. I can’t recommend this product enough! I used Medela and lansino milk bags.I like the Medela bags, but i like the Lansino bags better.The Medela bags are heavier, a little harder to close than Lansino and harder to open.It may not be a flaw, but i find lansino stills does the job without being so stiff

Breast Milk or Baby Purée Storage Bags
Purchased these postpartum to store my expressed milk. I ended up preferring to breastfeed directly and had all the leftover bags. So I decided to make baby food and store them in these and freeze them. It was great because I was able to still use the oz measurements and seal purées with ease. Since it’s sterile bags and clear. I could easily grab food based on the colors in my freezers (carrots, sweet potatoe or pees etc) Sharing in case another Mama ends up having leftover bags and no clue what to do with them. When I used them for milk they worked great. No leaks.

The Medela breastmilk storage bags hold approximately 6 ounces or 180 mL. The bags offer an easy to open top with a perforated pool tab and especially designed area in the middle to help separate the two layers there is designated space to write yours or babies name the date and the amount of milk in the bag the bottom does allow you to freely stand up as well. To heat the bags up, you can easily fit the bag into a tall 12 ounce glass or coffee mug with hot water. Otherwise to keep the milk cold or frozen you can store in the fridge or freezer using safe breastmilk storage guidelines. The zipper closure stays intact, making it easy to shake the milk to blend any fat that may have separated during storage. In addition, you can use the Medela family app to track the amount you have pumped.

High quality breast milk bags
I’ve tried several breast milk storage bags but the Medela bags are hands down the best quality for maintaining the health of your supply. The bags are thick and the zip lock mechanism is strong and doesn’t let air in or open up. I’ve never experienced freezer burn with the frozen breast milk and I feel comfortable placing the bags directly into a bowl of warm water to thaw without worrying that the milk will be compromised.Highly recommend to all breast feeding and pumping people out there.

Does what it’s supposed to
I brought these bags to the office to make my life easier after pumping. I just grab a bag, tear off the top, open the bag and pour the breast milk in. I have not had problems with these bags at all. They work well for me and I find them easy to use. I personally haven’t tried to stand them up on their own because I’m too scared to spill any liquid gold so I can’t speak on that but they are thick plastic and hold up well.

Good quality
Bought these to try since I only had lanisinoh brand. These feel better quality or at least thicker. They freeze good! Haven’t thawed any bags but I heard that don’t submerge in case the seal becomes frozen with breast milk and opens when thawed! If that makes sense lol so keep the opening out if the water! Easy to write on, never use the measurements on the bag, I always go off bottle then pour it in!

I wanted a sturdy bag to be sure I didn’t lose any milk and I found it with these bags. It’s a great option for milk storage.My only suggestion would be to measure your milk in a bottle so you are sure you have the appropriate amount – the bags can give a false reading if it’s not sitting correctly.

I love medula products anyway, but these bags are so much better than lansinoh bags, I can’t tell you how bags have leaked with the lansinoh bags when I am trying to thaw out a bag of milk for my baby:( medula breastmilk storage bags however have never let me down! The bags are just the right amount of thickness and so durable! Will definitely be buying more! 10/10 recommend!!

My Favorite Breastmilk Bags!
We have tried numerous different bags, and these are definitely our favorites. We only freeze up to 4oz in each bag and they freeze flat with no leaking issues. Just make sure that they are zipped all the way and double check them before laying it on its side in the freezer.I like these compared to the Lansinoh brand because they pour easier and seem to freeze flatter.

Got the job done
I used these bags and ordered them several times while breastfeeding for 1 year. I like the space to write and appreciate the listed measurements on the bad (although it didn’t always match with what my storage bottles said. They also store pretty flat. My only complaint is that after about 3 months in the freezer, several of my bags had holes. When I would heat the milk, I would come back to find that my milk had leaked out.

I would’ve given four stars except that I think other bags are easier and I expected better of a “big name” brand. Pro: the zip lock is a fantastic seal, IF you can line it up correctly. For some reason, I’ve had issues getting it to “snap” together, and if it’s not aligned it’ll leak all over- with practice it works but always check for leaks before laying in your freezer.My pet peeves are minor but enough that I’ll try a different brand next time:- the tear-off tab at the top of the bag never tears off cleanly. It’s fine I guess but I always have a raggedy plastic piece hanging off.- these do not stand up as well nor stay open wide as my spectra bags did, which is a pain for putting it on the scale and pouring milk in without holding the bag.- as a result of the base not opening wide enough, these are a high risk for tipping while filling and the measure marks on the side are wildly inaccurate. They’re not supposed to be all that precise, which is why I measure by weight with a kitchen scale, but the markings serve no purpose for me.I’ll still use them and they’re fine for leak-free storage, just not easy to work with for filling up.

Heavy duty and durable bags
I have purchased several breastmilk storage bags from Medela to Avent to Lansinoh to NUK. I found that I really like Medela bags the best follows by Lansinoh. I remember when I was initially was shopping breastmilk storage bags, I wanted to see pictures of how the bags look when they held unfrozen milk and how they look when frozen, so I’ve provided a picture to compare several brands. I found that Medela bags are superior to the rest, the quality of the bag is high quality and none of the other brands (lansinoh, NUK, or Avent) can compare. As you can see in my picture, it stands the best though it does not lay the flattest for storage. Initially storing the milk in a freezer was huge concern to me on how flat the bag got but this it not too much of a concern anymore as I had to purchase a deep freeze just to store breast milk (thanks to the help of Mother’s milk tea, Blessed Thristle and Fenugreek supplements when my supplied went low on few occassions because my pump malfunctioned and stopped working). I find that Medela bags are the easiest to pour out, (I initially would pump at work and pour into bags and then when I went home would pour it from the bags to bottles to store in the fridge for the near-future feedings) because of the sturdiness of the bag, I had more control and it was not flimsy or bent when and where I did not want it to. I was able to shape the top of the bag to make pouring the milk out easier.I do not recommend pumping directly into the bags. I’ve attempted to do this on several occasions and was very frustrated with the process, I just decided to use bottles instead. I tried this method because I felt it was tedious to pump in the bottle and then pour it in the bag to go home and pour it out into another bottle for future feedings. However, the process was too cumbersome for me and now I simple just pump in a bottle which I refrigerate until I leave work and then pour it into my baby’s feeding bottles (as you can see I have bottles I use just for pumping different from his feeding bottles though I could use these bottles for feeding as well, I’m just limited to slender or shorter larger bottles like the Medela 8oz or Gerber tall bottles I use Medela caps on and didn’t want to buy more).Overall, these are my absolute favorite breastmilk storage bags though I do wish they laid flatter but then again I tend to store 6-8 oz in a bag (yes, I know I shouldn’t go over 6oz but I do). I highly recommend them over the others with the lansinoh as my second choice. As you can see in the images which are all holding 6 oz of unfrozen milk, both the Medela and lansinoh sits upright well while the lansinoh does lay flatter than the Medela bags.

The main thing I love about this product is the fact it stands up by its self. I have 2 bottle from pumping so after I poor the one in I have both hands to do what I need too to pour the other in. Seals is heavy duty and the oz markings are accurate.

The bag itself is fine. My 3 stars applies to the sealant because it’s so hard to press on them. You can’t just glide your fingers to seal the bag. You have to press on it. The first time I glided my fingers on them I thought the bag was fully closed already so when I put it in the fridge the milk spilled. If you’re trying to store your milk with these and make your milk bags flat these are not for that. The base is wide.
