Warm jacket for great price
Very warm jacket for winter and good fit. I am 5’10”, 175 lbs, usually Size Large but purchased XL so that I can wear a bulky hoodie or vest underneath if needed. Great value.

Great jacket
Very high quality jacket for a reasonable price. I also own a Marmot and a Carhartt jacket, and this jacket rivals both of them in terms of warmth, and is honestly more comfortable to wear, for a much lower price.I liked it so much I bought one for my dad too. I almost stole his before I gave it to him as a gift so I could have a second color.

Very warm and somewhat water repellant
I ordered this for my man who hunts. The wool shirt he wears to keep warm during wet and/or snowy hunting sessions was getting worn out. He loves this jacket so much he’s decided to wear it all the time, not just hunting. I measured his chest before we ordered the green (mossy color) and he was exactly 46 inches. Bought the X-Large and it fit him perfectly and he loves it. The green picture online doesn’t do the green justice, it’s a very dark, but also a lovely shade of green. It reminds me of evergreen trees (pine and such). He looks great wearing this jacket. He said it was warmer than he expected for being relatively thin, which he also appreciated.There are only 2 drawbacks to this coat according to him – it doesn’t have buttons as well as the zipper which would be nice in case he’s out hunting and the zipper breaks. The zipper + button feature also tends to fare better in windy weather. It also does not have any inner pockets and the outer “hand” pockets (lower pockets) do not zip or button close like the ones on the chest.

Very Warm
As long as it lasts. This will be my last winter jacket ever. Incredibly warm and thick. Surprisingly water/snow resistant. Honestly worth twice the price.Only downside is it’s hard/impossible to waterproof. But like I said, it’s already naturally water resistant.Another plus is the front pockets are not the ones where you have to reach back to get your hands into. They sit naturally where your hands sit. Zero complaints.

Love the fit, warmth and look. Probably good to 25 to 30 decrees F. Use the sizing table. Fits as advertised. There is a Whitetails logo on the left pocket flap. Tastefull. The embroidered “Legendary” on the back is a little excessive. Great jacket. Would by again the XL.

Not a soft wool
It came wrinkled and it’s what you get for just over hundred a good warm wool coat. This is the green I will use it for hunting purposes now I would bet the traditional red and black checked coat feels soft.

Thick and warm
It is a jacket more than it is a shirt. I’m surprised with how thick and still relatively light weight it is. Good quality, good value for money. I’m 6,5″ and 220lbs. XXL-tall, still leaves room for a thick sweater. I highly recommend this product and LW

Medium bulk, wool, sherpa lined with insulation. Fantastically warm, comfortable.
Searched for a quality woolen coat for winter. Have a lighter coat that was cotton and sherpa, or thinner types. Due to my work I wanted a work coat that would last, be durable, and keep me warm. Legendary Whitetails kept coming up. Compared them to other coats and read the reviews. Ordered this coat. Overall it is by far the warmest, thick winter coat I have ever had the pleasure to own. Has 99% of what I was wanting in a coat. Had a woolen exterior, with Sherpa lining, and an insulation material in between. The sleeves have the quilted lining, no Sherpa in the arms. Quality zipper with a storm flap, and an extra wide collar that keeps the lower head and sides warm. The zipper can zip full length as well. Two large slash pockets that are quilt lined on both sides, two chest pockets with a classic button closure – with a spare button attached to the care instructions on the lower side of the coat. The only option I do miss that this coat does not have is an inside pocket, or pockets. If the coat did have inside pockets, one open, the other with a zipper, this coat would be the perfect coat for anyone. This is not a deal breaker however, more for a convenience option. This coat has some medium bulk, two insulated panels with a gap to keep one quite warm and dry. And so far this coat has exceeded my expectations on keeping me warm when outside or when driving. This is not one of those coats that can be worn indoors where it is already warm. Gets too hot to wear indoors for very long, maybe a few minutes at best. I trust it will keep me quite warm this year. The coat is not heavy, yet is quite resilient to the external temperatures. So far have warn it in 16° F weather. It will get its test more in the next few months. This coat can double as a blanket, and even as a lap blanket. Super soft, does not itch, and quite warm. Only wished I had gloves and a pair of outdoor riding chaps made from the same material so I could enjoy the outdoors while riding a recumbent trike. 100% Recommended. Well worth the extra cost for a quality warm coat.

Great Coat & Quality
Quality is key. Zipper is metal, buttons are over sized for easy opening. Wool feels perfect on the outside. Keeps you warm on them winter days. I bought a XL and fits perfectly. I’m 48.5” chest with 34” waist.

WARM and rugged to a certain extnt
I put this jacket on (it runs small — I correctly ordered XL even though I wear a Large) and it was WARM, snug and perfect.There’s room for a lightweight down vest under it which is great because our temps are in the single to low double digits right now.The only thing I do not like it how the soft wool fabric “pills” – makes little nubs of wool on the jacket– I have a clothes shaver and that helps with the appearance of this jacket.Would I buy another one? Probably yes.

Great heavyweight fleece/wool coat
So I actually bought this twice. The first time was years ago. I loved it and was impressed how warm it was, and how good it looks. I eventually (and regrettably) donated it for reasons I cannot recall.The past few months I’ve been missing this jacket. I eventually bought it a second time and am very happy.Pros: It’s warm. This is my go-to jacket for sub freezing temps. You have a wool blend on the upper. For the torso, it has sherling fleece while the arms just have basic synthetic insulation. So overall, the coat has two layers of impressive insulation.The jacket looks GOOD. Has the classic Canadian/PNW tuxedo look.The zippers also zip up and down smoothly. You don’t really appreciate zippers until you had a jacket with a bad zipper, and fortunately this jacket has a good zipper.Cons: I wish the collars also had the sherling fleece. That would’ve eliminated the need for a scarf on really cold days.

I like it.
Fits me perfectly. 58 y.o. and 6’3″ 245lbs XXL Tall. Not as muscley as I once was but with a long sleeve t-shirt and a long sleeve flannel shirt this coat has enough room that it fits just right. Not too tight in the shoulders and the arm length is perfect for me. They claim it is cut for layering and seems to be true. Will be perfect for my old school hunting “outfit”. LOL As my wife calls it. For a size reference, maybe if you are still young and lifting some weights, about 15 years ago I was 6’4″ and around 300lbs. I would have probably gone with the 4XL Tall.Just received it and tried on my new “outfit”. Do not see any thread ends or odd seams. Looks like Q.C. is spot on with this coat. The hand warming pockets could be a bit larger for me but if you are of an ordinary size, giggle, they will be just fine for you. Maybe even a double layer of material would be great for those with hands that get cold easy.I like it so far. Will have to wait for freezing weather to hit again to test warmth. It was 51 today. T-shirt weather.

Pretty good, but…
First off, let me just say, this is pretty darn warm. I like it and have lightly worn it off and on for a couple months now. If you’re considering buying this jacket, here are a couple of things to consider.1- I’ve only lightly worn this and it’s already starting to ball up and look worn out on the sleeves. I knew it wouldn’t be as durable as my filson, but I didn’t expect it to start showing significant wear after a few wears2- Plan on it leaving fuzz on whatever shirt you’re wearing underneath for the first few wears. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of.Overall, I still like the jacket, but expected it to be a bit tougher considering the branding.

It’s a great coat
I didn’t like to is at first, in fact I tried to return it multiple times. The reason is I didn’t like the zipper. it was bound up at the bottom, lack of quality control. So I fixed that and I have to admit it is a very warm coat. I don’t know if it is wool as they say, but it is warm.

Lovely coat but the sizing comes up small
This is a really nice coat that seems well made and quality, however, Legendary Whitetails are a brand which is known for its men’s clothing sizes coming up large – which is a VERY good thing and I purchased a xx-Large which is more than big enough for me. I was very disappointed to find that the coat was far too small for me. While only just wearing a T-Shirt I could just about get the coat on but I was unable to zip it up and the sleeves were not long enough. I would say it was more like an X-Large so I have returned it. Not really good enough from a brand who has been a mainstay go to for years. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Warm
This is a great jacket it’s warm it’s comfortable to wear I’m only had it for a week or so and the one day that we had some pretty cold weather outside I was very warm in this jacket I highly recommend it it fits well I’m 6 feet 200 poundsThe only concern I have the material by the neck and underarm sleeve area are shedding or material is balling up

I live in Wisconsin and this thing keeps me warm. Fits great, and is very comfortable.But if you have pets beware that fur is gonna get on this and will be a pain to remove with a roller.

XXL is perfect size for me. Its roomy enough to vend, twist and move, comfortable and warm. No inside pockets, though. So far so good. A stylish wool coat for $100 is a bargain. I Highly recommend.

Great but no inside pockets.
I’m 5’10” and 150lbs. I bought a medium and it fits perfect. I really like the comfort and quality of the jacket but am stunned that it doesn’t have any inside pockets. The two you see on the front is it. They’re big and will easily hold my wallet in one, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (very big phone) in the other.

Nice for the Price
So I received my jacket today and am here to say that for $100 bucks I think it will do just fine. It was recommended by Amazon site that based on x number of other reviews that XL would be the best fit for me. However, not so. I ordered the 2XX and the fit is great.My only gripe is that it DOES NOT HAVE SIDE VENTILATION as advertised. Oh well…..

Comparing this to my fleece jacket. I am pleasantly impressed.
I had been comfortably wearing my usual fleece jacket (zipped up) the entire day when this jacket arrived. Took the fleece off and put this on. I didn’t last 5 minutes before needing to unzip. Lol. This jacket definitely retains warmth many times better than my fleece one. Was thinking I’d need to layer with this one like I had to with my fleece as temps dropped. Thinking now that layering is probably not needed. Nice.

Great for the price!
I’m super impressed with this jacket! Much more heavy duty then I expected for the price! I haven’t had it in the rain or snow yet but just wore it on an overnight camp and it was perfect For 32f weather with a base layer and long sleeve shirt under it. It looks bad ass too!- @alex.outdoors

Really like this jacket

Nice jacket but quality control is lacking
The jacket looks great, fit true to size and is very warm. I sweat in it until the temps drop to around the 30s FWhat I didn’t like is that the quality could be better. The left hand pocket did not seemed to be sewed correctly because the pocket felt weird and was not the same size as the other side. Also, I wore this jacket less than 10 times and one pocket has already developed a hole in the bottom.This jacket is also much bulkier than I initially anticipated. Hopefully with time it sort of flattens out but it wears more like a big coat than a shirt with extra insulation.

Not bad but…
Not bad but somewhat disappointing. Overall nice jacket and heavier (warmer) than expected. However, the fabric pattern was not matched as advertised. Most prominent on pocket patches. Tell-tale sign of lesser quality construction using less fabric. Pattern mismatch is seen on lower priced garments. To be fair, for the price, this is a nice jacket. Just don’t set your expectations too high.

Great coat warm and comfortable.
I love the coat it’s just what I wanted in a thicker wool jacket, looks good, fits well. Would love to give it 5 stars but the lower pockets are an issue, when the coat is zipped up things constantly are falling out of them whenever I sit or crouch, I have a 2 year old so I crouch alot in public places before I stopped using them I lost brand new headphones, sunglasses and who knows what else just from them falling out. A zipper would be great but even a button would improve this issue a lot.

Most comfortable jacket ever
