Disappointed
This product is supposed to be a hydrating overnight treatment, but it is waxy and just sits on your lips. I see no improvement at all after using it for a month. A waste of money

Excellent Moisturizer
This stuff works! I had a cracked lip all winter, it just wouldn’t heal up until I started using this at night. The flavor is not great but I can ignore that since it does the job.

AMAZING
I am IN LOVE with the Jack Black Night Mode lip balm. This NEEDS to be in a larger size and/or bulk value pack. After a couple applications throughout the day my lips were SO moisturized and plump from the HA. I am a lip balm addict so I ran through the tube very quickly (whoops) but it’s just my absolute favorite and I can’t find anything even remotely similar. Please make it larger and with more quantities!!!

Great For Lip Biters
My lips constantly look and feel like a SpongeBob close up and this, along with the Jack Black everyday chapstick make my lips look and feel like a lipstick models instead. It can be super difficult to squeeze any product out, especially if you live in a colder climate like myself but it’s sooo worth the fight.

Not particularly effective
I’ve been using this at bedtime for several weeks. The product is very stiff in the tube, difficult to dispense enough to use. I have not found much effect from using this, my lips are completely unaffected and some mornings they seem more chapped.

Better then other lip masks
I love Jack Black lip products I have so many of there lip balms I bring them everywhere. This is super moisturizing and works well I just wish it had a scented version like the balms. You can’t taste it but the smell is definitely not my favorite. It does fade away though after it’s absorbed some.

I prefer the original lip balm to the night mode treatment as this is difficult to apply because of its thickness. Smell is not great and I don’t think it moisturizes as well as balm. It’s just okay.

Got sucked in by a Buzzfeed article but this stuff is actually really good. I like the regular one as well but the overnight one is a little hard to apply until it warms up a little bit. However, the overnight one is more moisturizing for sure.

Funky smell, but does moisturize
The smell of this product is very plastic-y and weird. If you have the normal lip balms in the blue tubes from this same brand, the scent of this one is nothing like any of those.However, it is very thick so it stays on well at night and it does moisturize my lips. I’ll use it up but I probably won’t repurchase, I think there are better options out there that smell good and moisturize even better

Shea Butter is fantastic! Do NOT buy Nightmode
I was a diehard CO Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm user until recently, I have not been able to find it for a decent price on here so I decided to give this brand a shot.The Shea Butter flavor is fantastic! I only use it at night so I can’t attest to the sun protection but I wake up with soft, smooth lips. I actually like this better than the CO Bigelow Night Balm, it’s not as sticky and the bottle lasts me longer.I decided to try the NightMode once I saw it available, there was a rough few days of adjustment where I woke up with chapped lips. It seems fine after using it for a couple weeks now, however it smells like a dirty hamster cage😬 I am forcing myself to use it up but it stinks and I won’t buy this one again😅

Tube was split
Tube arrived split and when I would squeeze it would come out the side. Overall ok formula, but crappy tube. I had to squeeze it all messily into a separate tub so it won’t make such a mess when I try and use it. Now I have to dip my finger in the tub which isn’t my favorite, but I wasn’t going to waste this since I paid 12 dollars. Overall won’t repurchase this hassle of a lip balm – not worth it for 12 bucks. I would expect a decent, unbroken tube for that price at least.

Smells like a band-aid
This product moisturizes alright, but the overwhelming scent of a band-aid eminating from my mouth while trying to fall asleep isn’t particularly pleasant. I’ll stick with the mint version or aquaphor.

Black Jack works!
I give this product 5 stars. Had a chronic spot at corner of mouth for months. Tried Carmex and Lip Aquaphor to no avail. Jack Black made a big difference in a few days. It’s really thick. Somewhat of a challenge to get out of the tube. But who cares. It works!

Another win
I love Jack Black spf lip balm. Thought I’d give this one a try. It’s slightly thicker than the spf balm. Not much going on scent wise. Maybe the slightest wax/honey scent. It is moisturizing, but not mind blowingly so. You will need a thick layer to last the night. (Although the instructions say to apply generously) I’ll admit though, I usually sleep face down.The tube lasts a decent amount of time. I like it more than the laneige lip mask. It doesn’t break me out around lips and I have sensitive skin. But everyone’s skin is different. I’ll be repurchasing.

Great lip balm
Living in Oklahoma, the wind can be rough. This product is thick and applies and coats for hours. For example, put some on in the morning before work, and reapply after lunch. Good to go for the rest of the day. Great for moisture inside or outside.

Intense doesn’t begin to explain this balm…
I’m generally happy with my Nivea lip balm, but hearing “Night Mode” along with “Hyaluronic Acid and Manuka Honey” intrigued me. This is an amazing lip balm that I use all day anymore just because it’s got such great longevity and really works. The chamomile butter in this is a bit of a strange scent that you get used to (it does fade). The hyaluronic acid really seems to give the best DSLs you’re going to get short of seeing Kim K’s own plastic surgeon!Overall, this is an addicting lip balm and I wish they sold it in 3-packs!

Hard to squeeze
I like the product and leaves my lips moisturized overnight. Unfortunately, the product is hard to get out of the tube. Will not buy again with this packaging.

I just tried it cause the neutrogena is out of market now. In just 4 days my lips is back to be moisturized. Im happy that i tried it even its a little bit pricy. But if you are searching for a really good one you dont care for the price at all.

Absolutely the best lip product ever
I use this daily, multiple times a day. I’m shocked how moisturized my lips are between uses. No more Chap lips in the winter! I struggle so bad with chapped lips and hate any flavored chap sticks. I use to use burt bees but this is by far a more superior product over anything I’ve used in the past. I’ve told all my friends about it and I pray that it never gets discontinued

Works okay, not better than the original balm
The Jack Black Intense Lip Therapy is my holy grail lip balm so I decided to give this night treatment a go. It’s thick, unscented, and decently moisturizing but I feel like the regular intense lip therapy moisturizes my lips more. I will not be repurchasing this.

The product seems to be fine, the container is defective. I wanted a replacement and they want me to ship this one back! Strange to me, I’m just going to cancel the replacement order and throw this one away. Chalk it up as a loss!

Great Lip Moisturizer

Thick overnight lip moisturizer
I’ve used it for about a week and I think it’s great. It is not sticky or tacky, no odor or taste that I can detect. It is great to not have my lips feel like sandpaper when I wake up!

Exceptional staying power and excellent hydration
My son recent increased to a higher dose of Accutane. MAJOR dry, chapped lips to the point of cracking and bleeding. We tried 5 different products and this one, hands down, was the BEST, even above what the dermatologist recommended. Thick but not sticky, staying power for day and night. Lips look and feel so much better!

Not for people sensitive to lanolin smells
My first impression of this balm is the unexpectedly strong whiff of lanolin and manuka. The high quality stuff, which this seems to be, smells like a clean barn. That sounds maybe bad, but it’s usually just a sign of minimally processed lanolin. The manuka adds a resinous, medicinal smell that could be off-putting to some. I’m used to these scents, so it doesn’t bother me. I was just a bit surprised that these ingredients are minimally processed and deodorized, but again, to me this isn’t a bad thing. Within a few minutes these smells fade significantly.Most importantly it works. It keeps my lips moisturized, soft, and it doesn’t irritate a bit. I wish it came in a bigger size.

Love this lip salve!
I have very dry lips most all the time. I found this product as I was using the “daytime” salve as well. I use this lip salve at night just prior to going to bed. It has been great for keeping my lips moisturized while I sleep. I use the “black” prior to bed and the “blue” during the day. This has been the best product for my lips and I’ve tried so many!

The best and last lip balm I will ever purchase.
Not sure what people are complaining about on here about the smell of the product. If you are looking for a lip balm that smells like candy, fruity or flowery this is not the product for that need. This lip balm far surpasses every other product I’ve tried. I use a small amount on a qtip and apply it to my lips before bed. The following morning an through out the remainder of the day my lips feel moist, soft and NEVER dry and chaffed. This product is now a staple in my daily grooming regimen. Again, this is not a candy coated lip balm. If you have even moderately chaff lips during the extremely hot and cold weather months this product is the solution. I can now throw out several other tubes of others brand of lip balm to replace it with this one. The last comment I will make is about the aesthetics of the balm when it is applied and working. I highly agree that this products also greatly improves the physical appearance of dry chaffed lips. Great product and I’ll be a customer for as long as they continue to make this item. Thanks.

my lips are healthier than they’ve ever been
due to skin issues i’ve had terribly cracked lips since childhood, with scarring. when glossier reformulated i hated it and eventually heard this was a good replacement. it’s LEAGUES better than glossier. my lips have never been this soft and smooth in my entire life, literally. i see others complaining about the smell, it literally just smells like lip balm ingredients. it’s not perfumey. i get migraines if my neighbor does laundry but the smell of this doesn’t bother me. i even put it on the end of my nose to help with dry skin there. i’d sell my soul for this stuff.

It works!!
I struggled with dry lips ALL last winter and fall. As soon as the weather turn this year, things got desperate. The reviews said the overnight lip balm would help. It did!! I put it on at night and before I leave the house in the morning. No more dry cracked, peeling lips!

I prefer the regular version lip balm
This does not seem extra moisturizing. It is thicker and a little hard to squeeze out of the tube. I prefer the Jack Black regular lip balm. This didn’t seem to give me any better moisture or heal my dry lips any faster than the regular version.

Very hydrating, super thick
I’ve been using their lip balm in the flavor, Shea butter for the last year, and I have to say this is one of my favorite lip balms, so when I decided to get the overnight, I was skeptical because of reviews on the smell. For me personally, it just smells similar to Carmex. It is super hydrating and quite a bit thicker than the daytime lip balm which makes it super great for overnight use. I always wake up in the morning with super chapped lips since I breathe through my mouth all night, but with daytime or nighttime jack black I never do. This is the only brand of lip balm that keeps my lips hydrated I would def recommend!

Jack Black is the only thing that works
I have struggled to find a lip product that consistently works for ever. Many worked at first and then a few weeks in I would have chapped lips again. Jack Black’s has been working for me for almost 2 months now. I will say this night version is VERY hard to squeeze out of the tube (sinze day 1), so next time I will probably just stick with the regular tubes, which makes me sad because the night version is amazing!

A little goes a long way!
I love this product! It’s super moisturizing. I put it on at night and it’s still working the next morning. I don’t care for the ‘taste’ (it is unflavored) of the product, but it’s not hugely noticeable. It has far too many other great qualities for me to care that much. It’s a little tube but you only need to apply a small dot of product to cover your lips entirely, so it will last a long time.

The BEST lip product HANDS DOWN!!
I’m a Black woman who will not tolerate or stand chapped lips. I’ve used Burts Bees, the regular Jack Black lip product in the past but I needed to use aquaphor at night as a lip mask.Listen to me, this night mode is better than all of that. One tube has lasted me 3-4 months. You can use a little just to moisturize like a chap stick. You can layer it on more for a sheen, lip gloss like effect. It isn’t sticky, it prevents that white residue from forming on your lips. I’ve went hours without reapplying, after eating, and my lips stay moisturized. There’s no flavor so you’ll forget it’s on.I’m only putting yall on because I bought 5 extra tubes of this 😭 idk about sun protection (wfh gang) but if you need a lip mask for day and night use, this is it

I expected a lot due to such positive reviews.It is definitely a night treatment, being so heavy and thick. I can say it works well overnight.However… it’s just TOO thick and incredibly hard to squeeze out of the tube; I’m always afraid the tube is just gonna pop. Also, something I just can’t get over: it smells HORRIBLE. I don’t consider myself sensitive, but this one is just too much. I thought it went bad at first, then I found some reviews mentioning the same thing, so it seems like that’s just how it is.For these reasons, I think it’s safe to say you can skip this product and find something better for your money.

I’d rather use Aquaphor.
As someone who has struggled with chapped and dry lips, I recently tried the Jack Black Night Mode Lip Treatment, hoping for relief. While it provided some hydration, I was disappointed by the product’s weird scent, and despite containing nourishing ingredients like shea butter and avocado oil, I found that it didn’t quite surpass my go-to Aquaphor in terms of effectiveness on my dry lips.

Disappointing.
I saw all the reviews for this product and was hoping to have finally found a good moisturizing lip balm to wear at night, to help keep lips soft and prevent overnight drying and cracking. First for the price, I was very surprised at how small the tube was, but I figured the quality must have been fantastic to make up for it. I went to put it on that night and the tube was not easily squeezable as I would have thought a lip balm tube would be. It took me a few tries to get anything out and when I put it on it seemed to not cover much and I didn’t feel any moisturized. I went to bed thinking perhaps “a little dab will do the trick,” and it was meant to feel like nothing is there, and went to sleep. I actually had to reapply during the night when I got up to get water because they felt dry. When I woke up that following morning, my lips felt dry and they were starting to chap. I decided that perhaps because I do have thicker lips, I would need to try a little more that night, but after again having difficulty with the tube and getting a decent amount on my lips before bed, I had to once again reapply during the night and i woke up the following day with still no difference. Dry, chapped lips. I am not allergic to any of the ingredients and decided I would try again, but after a week of the same results and emptying the tube, I would say I’m fairly disappointed and won’t be buying the tube again.

SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION – Worst Of My Life – Be Warned
DO NOT BUY THIS. IT’S NOT WORTH THE RISK. I had a severe allergic reaction to Jack Black Nightmode Lip Treatment. It’s SIX MONTHS later and my lips are still not healed. I used it for two days. Then dozens of tiny blisters popped up all over my lips. My lips were blistered, inflamed, burning, and stinging for weeks. After the blisters subsided, my lips continued to burn, sting, and suffer from bright red discoloration on and around my lips for MONTHS. Eating is especially excruciating. I’ve been through two rounds of treatments from my dermatologist and my lips are STILL not healed. They continue to be inflamed, discolored, burning and stinging. I look like a rabid clown. On top of the pain, it’s so embarrassing to be seen this way. Buying Jack Black Nightmode Lip Treatment was the worst decision for my health and wellbeing. DON’T DO IT.

Best overnight lip balm I’ve ever used!
As a 20 year veteran of the film and television make up world I can say that the Jack Black lip balms are hands down the best lip balms I’ve used. They are with me in every make up bag I bring to set and am never without one for my own personal use. The Night Mode lip treatment never leaves my nightstand cuz I put it on every night before I go to sleep. I have always had very dry lips and these are honestly the only balms and treatments that work for me.

Top-of-the-line lip treatment that really works
This is the time of year when my lips really rebel. I’ve used the regular Jack Black lip remedy (blue tube) and that’s been excellent, but this black tube iteration, “Nightmode,” takes it to the next level. After just a couple of weeks using it at bedtime, my lips are unchapped and unirritated as they’ve rarely been once the heat comes on in the house. I really like all Jack Black products I’ve used (hand healer is terrific too!) and this only affirms that they do come up with treatments that are above and beyond. Highly recommend. And note: other reviewers have mentioned the smell of this Nightmode lip healer, but I haven’t smelled anything. For me, it’s entirely neutral (that may be my older person’s less sensitive nasal passages…?) Definitely not an issue.

Lip balm

Kind of bizarre smell, but nostalgic at the same time.
As others have said, this night version is extra thick so you really have to press hard to get a tiny bit out, but the good part about it being so thick is that it stays on better than lighter formulas. When I first tried it on my lips, I liked the texture, but the smell hit me like “what… is THAT?!” – it has a very distinct petroleum related smell, in a weird way it gave me a nostalgic flashback – to some product I may have encountered in the 70s, back when the products used crude ingredients and people didn’t think anything of it. I looked up all the ingredients that I didn’t already know, and Ozokerite stuck out. It’s some sort of waxy product similar to petroleum jelly, but rather than being a product of refining, it’s naturally occurring between thin layers of rocks. It may not be “refined” but it still has that chemical petroleum smell, so much so that I was really surprised they put it in the ingredients and don’t add anything to cover it up. It’s almost like they WANT that smell to come through, like it’s so unique and rugged. But I think it makes me think of the smell of axle grease or shoe polish.Everyone has extolled the virtues of how nothing else has cured their chapped lips like this, so I’m using it – more as a novelty. I may switch to using it to lubricate my leather iPhone case, which is too slippery and dry – it’s probably perfect for conditioning leather.However, I read studies of ozokerite applied on rats, and it did get into their organs and increase little tumors with ozokerite in them and such, so it’s not exactly a healthy ingredient, even if it’s effective for dry lips. Plus, the ocean floor drilling to get the ozokerite causes huge amounts of ozokerite wax to wash ashore, coating marine bird feathers just like oil spills, and messing up the shoreline.

No scent compared to mini size from sephora
I had received a mini size from Sephora and wanted to try full size ordered off Amazon doesn’t seem the same Sephora mini size seems to work better for my lips even though it has a strong scent . Although it’s okay I will continue to use

Saved my smooch
Every year as the seasons change my lips have always just peeled or cracked or puckered – it’s just been a fact of life, get me? But I decided to give this a shot after one of my YT subscriptions mentioned it, SO glad I did! Every one to two nights I’ll put a light coat of this on before bed and I’ve not had one instance of cracking or peeling lips since!Fantastic stuff, I like the way it smells/tastes (both are light). The formula is clear, just thick enough to form a perfect bead out of the tube and feel like it will stay put. Super smooth smooch savior! I’ll definitely be ordering again in the future
