Good primer

Love the silky feel of it
I used the elf primer in the pink tube but didn’t feel like I was getting what I should out of it. So I decided to try this one after taking the skin quiz to find my best match and ended up with this being the one for me. It has the same silky feel as the pink one but this actually blurs some of my fine lines. I have a before and after picture on my hand and there is a difference. I notice it on my face. I glides on and spreads very easily and does very well under my makeup. A little bit goes a long way.This is the first primer I have tried that actually does blur my fine lines. They are by no means gone but they are diminished some and I’ll take that. I would recommend this to my friends and amily and I will be buying it again. For reference, I’m 55 years old.

Like a Layer of Silk Before Applying Makeup!
I live in a very dry climate in high altitude and with rough winters. Thought I’d try this primer but I didn’t have a lot of hope that it would really provide much of a moisture barrier before applying makeup under the weather conditions we have. I was pleasantly surprised! It goes on smoothly and evenly and it feels like a layer of silk on your skin! Makeup goes on flawlessly and stays put. No overwhelming scent, no irritation and the price point is well below what I’ve paid for luxury brand primers. It’s a keeper!

Primer Delivers Hydration
e.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer is a product I’ve come to appreciate. As someone who doesn’t often use makeup products, I was on the lookout for something that could hydrate my skin while filling in my pores, and this primer fits the bill perfectly. After application, it leaves my skin with a distinctive waxy yet soft feel. It proves to me that makeup can be a beneficial addition to a skincare routine, even for those of us who may not be as well-versed in the cosmetic world.

Good primer but doesn’t do much to adjust tone
I don’t have rosacea, but my cheeks and nose are naturally a bit more red. I had seen ads for a high-end makeup line’s green tone adjusting primer, but as I was checking Amazon to see if they carried that product noticed this one in the results. I decided to give the e.l.f. product a try, instead, because of the far better price tag.As a primer, it’s great (as are most e.l.f. primers that I’ve tried), but it didn’t do much to soften the redness on my face. The price tag really can’t be beat, though, so I’ll continue using it with another brand’s specialty redness-correcting concealer under my foundation.

No soy experta en maquillaje pero me gusto la textura e hidratación que deja en la piel, además de que no la deja brillosa, a no ser que uses una base de alta cobertura y no vas a cubrir del todo tus poros dilatados, en caso que uso maquillaje ligero se disimilaron muchísimo pero no del todo. Como primer es genial 😁

My new go-to for aging skin
I very rarely write reviews but, after trying bb creams, pore fillers, and way too many primers, this one gets 5 stars.I’d settled into using a translucent primer by Cover Girl before finding this one by Elf. The consistency/texture is completely different. This product floats on the surface of the skin, blurring fine lines instead of absorbing into the skin like other products.My first try, I used way too much which left my face feeling slippery/greasy. Now, I use 1-2 pumps only and I’m impressed with the results.

Smooth skin but not what I was looking for
I guess I should have bought a redness correcting concealer because I was expecting the green to cancel out the redness. However, the green tint in this product doesn’t actually do anything. It’s transparent when you put it on. It does make my skin ridiculously soft but haven’t seen a difference with redness. I imagine it really depends on what is ultimately causing your skin redness.Anyways, it seems nice, I might just use it as a moisturizer on days I don’t wear makeup. It doesn’t seem to work great as a primer for me, maybe because my foundation is water based?

Surprisingly Impressed!
I have always been on the fence with ELF products—they used to be considered kind of cheap and low quality 20-ish years ago. That said, I really started seeing more and more people use and recommend ELF products, so I decided to give it a try… and boy, am I glad I did! Very impressed with this product. I have pretty dry skin, but this product is super moisturizing! Highly recommend.

Face Primer
This primer has a slight peppermint odor to it. Kind of refreshing when you put it on. The mint odor doesn’t stay. I like all of the elf primers.

What pores?

Perfect

BEST Primer I’ve found!
I love this primer! It’s easy to apply, smoothing, and feels great! My makeup definitely looks smoother and requires less when applying. My ONLY and BIG complaint is that the size of the bottle is highly deceiving! There is very little product inside – in a very small tub within the bottle. Open the top and take a look for yourself! They really need to address this for the price of the product. Other than that, still love it, but am constantly looking for something that works the same, but provides a more reasonable amount for the price.

Feels luxurious on skin
I bought the E.L.F. primer when I switched from liquid foundation to Laura Geller powder foundation. (A primer was suggested in one of the LG reviews.) I had not used a primer before but am very pleased with using both products now, except that the LG foundation is much more expensive than I am used to. The primer feels wonderful on my skin. I use it after I apply my moisturizer and before applying foundation.

Perfect for 53 old skin
I don’t know why I keep buying other primers, thinking something will be better.I am 53 y/o with rosy undertones in my skin. Live in very low humidity climate so dry skin all the time. This primer helps lessen the redness and puts down a nice “canvas” on my skin, to put foundation over.Note – a little goes a long way. If you overdo it, your foundation and this primer will cake together. A 1/2 pump works perfect for me with Cover Girl Clean foundation.

Good primer, not a huge color corrector
It goes on super light and smooth and didn’t add to any oiliness throughout the day (actually I had less). It made my makeup glide on really smoothly and filled in some fine lines, etc, but didn’t do much (if anything) for my redness. A good primer, but I’ll still be hunting for something that color-corrects more effectively.

Hydrating and Game Changer!

This makeup primer is a definite game-changer. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry, and it makes a noticeable difference in the application of my makeup. I’ve experienced that my makeup tends to feel more cakey with non-hydrating primers or without any primer at all, so this one has been a savior!One issue I encountered was when I mixed it with a brightening primer—it caused my foundation to become chunky and not stick well. Lesson learned: I now use it on its own, and it works like a charm. If you get this primer, maybe avoid mixing it with others to ensure a flawless finish. 👍

Perfect base
I was looking for a light product to cover a couple of point with redness in my face. This is great and leave the skin smooth and perfect. Great for blurring out pores.
Mid 40’s MUA and I swear by this primer! It’s an incredibly affordable primer that works to blur and minimize the appearance of pores. I don’t wear liquid foundation, only powder foundation and this product preforms beautifully underneath a thin concealer and loose powder base. Pro tip: Spray your setting spray on after you lay your primer down, THEN do your foundation over that. Then set with spray afterwards. Not only does this keep your makeup on but it will further blur out those fine lines and wrinkles in your skin if you have large pores or any kind of texture. HIGHLY recommend!
