I wanted to love this printer … but I don’t.
I’ve owned a Brother HL-2130 laser printer for years and it’s been great — no complaints at all.I also own a Canon Pixma which I use mainly just for scanning as I have a much better print quality Epson Ink Jet type printer. So, I decided it was time to “upgrade” the laser and combine the scanner and printer functions in one machine and get rid of the Pixma for convenience and to save space.The printer and drivers were easy to set up, but when I went to load paper into the printer I soon discovered almost half the paper projected out the front of the printer and was not housed internally as it was with the HL-2130. Very dissapointing.Then I tried out the scanner function … I can find no way to do a Preview Scan and select the area to what I want before doing the final scan — something I expected, as every other scanner I have ever owned had this ability. (If anyone knows how to do a preview scan and then adjust the scan area before doing the main scan, PLEASE let me know!) Also, I believe the highest optical scan resolution is 1200 x 600, but there appears to be only a 600 x 600 setting in the software app, apart from the higher non-optical resolutions available.The printer and scanner themselves appear quite okay so far but I am still quite disappointed overall — Guess I’ll have to do more research before buying in future.Update: I was wrong, Prescanning and scan area adjustment is possible and works well, for some reason it was not initially apparent to me .. so an extra half Star!

Tiny control panel impossible to read
Hate this printer, will probably get rid of it. Tiny control panel is impossible to see, I have to use a torch and the instructions are not understandable. I need t print 300 copies of a monthly newsletter and it has to be supervised as copies fall off after about 15. Paper jams frequently too. Hate it!

USB not included
I love my new printer, I previously use Brother Printer as well – the only thing I did not like I tried reaching out to the manufacturer and was asking for the USB so I can start printing. I was inform by Brother that they dont supply USB, it was pretty difficult that during the pandemic I cannot just go to the shop to buy one. I am bit disppointed when the packaging says USB is included.

It’s a Brother – it’s good quality
Probably more than what I wanted in some aspects, and yet it doesn’t do photos. My bad!! I should have read up more; certainly what I get it to do, it does well.

No ARM support
I purchased this device to use as a print/scan server at home with my raspberry pi. Unfortunately, brother does not have any drivers for arm processors and they refuse to open source their drivers.

Good value – seemingly limited life
This printer has been pretty much the best home printer I’ve ever owned. I would caveat that by saying that home printers are (in my experience) the worst consumer electronic item currently in production. The 1210W did the job pretty well for a time. It was relatively painless to set up wirelessly. It produced high quality prints without running through cartridges too quickly. It seemingly never broke down. Then, almost exactly 2 years after we bought it, it just stopped working, flashing an impenetrable series of error messages. It therefore exceeded my expectations of home printers in general, but still a disappointing experience overall!

Piccola stampante in bianco e nero. Facile da installare.Corredata di CD ma Windows 10 l’ha riconosciuta subito ed installata. Peccato che non stampa fronte/retro.Il raccoglitore è posto in basso, mentre i fogli escono dall’alto, con la possibilità di aprire il raccoglitore per raccogliere più fogli.Buona la stampa. Valuterò la durata.

Not too large, practical
Bought this to replace an Epson inkjet AIO that refused to print after replacing super expensive inks. Brother printers, and I have owned several previously, are functional and dependable. Software wise they don’t level up to Epson or Canon but hey, it’s good enough. Size wise the device footprint is no larger than the Epson AIO it replaced, but it’s about 30% taller. Front loading and ejecting paper path means it’s easy to live with. Wireless setup was not as intuitive as with an Epson, and the Quickstart instructions are also not great. All in all quite pleased with the purchase. Super fast next day delivery!

Software from the 90’s
1. Driver needs to be installed manually like we’re using Win 95. Can’t just detect new printer in Windows 11.2. Not detected as a printer in Airplay. Has to go through a tedious process of putting my document in icloud so that the app could print from there.Otherwise quality of print is decent.

Decent priced All in one laser printer
Decent priced All in one monochrome laser printer.Do note the duplex printing is manual and not automatic as per Amazon product description. You will have to flip the paper when the printer are done printing one side of your document. It’s a bit challenging to flip the right side to print the second side. Sugguest to print the initial few pages first to understand the process.Wireless printer setup require the manufacture software to be installed.

Great affordable printer.
Thank you Amazon for such great offer for this wonderful printer. Easy to use, I just USB cable plug in and print after driver installation which download online.But one very difficult part is the wireless network connection, trying very hard to sync printer to my wireless router, unsuccessful.Use cable to connect to router, yes it works but handphone apps cannot connect the printer to do wireless printing.Very flustrated, disappointing. Trying solutions from support Helpdesk, no result of improvement. Very sad.

Great product marred by poor delivery experience
The printer does its job well exactly as advertised. The printing was fast and smooth, startup time was great, although the WiFi connectivity took a little while to set up.My experience with the delivery was unpleasant though. According to the email about the schedule for delivery, it was supposed to be on a Friday / Saturday, so I was prepared to work from home to receive the delivery. However, the delivery was made on Wednesday and there was no phonecall or email to inform and the courier just left my package at my doorstep and sent a picture. I messaged him back to ask him to deliver later when I get home but I was ghosted. Thankfully, I managed to get my neighbour to safekeep my package for me.A great product will be of no use if the customer does not receive it. If the package gets taken, then I wonder who will take responsibility for it. 5 stars for a great product, but 1 star for poor delivery service. Please consider changing courier to one that requires signed receipt for successful delivery.

Fast and wifi works
The overall functions are in order. The wifi connection (for my Lenovo notebook) and the speed of printing is fast. However, the wifi connection for my MacBook Air can’t be established and I have to use the hard cable in order to print and scan.
