    Doesn’t work with CarPlay and my iPhone 15

    I bought this adapter for my 2022 car with CarPlay. The car has a USB-A outlet and I didn’t want a complete new cable when I got my iPhone 15 with USB-C and thought this adapter would work. It must be something with the car outlet that doesn’t allow a connection for charging or CarPlay. The adapter works with other cables so it will be handy.

    One adapter was damaged

    The product itself is a good one and works as advertised but one adapter was damaged and I had to use pliers to fix it. Apparently the product was a returned item and previous user damaged it and decided to return. I did not return it because I was able to fix it and still using it.

    USB-A to USB-C adapters are easy to find, but these USB-C to USB-A adapters are not. For plugging newer devices into older computers, etc. with only USB-A ports, these work great.

    No apple car play issues!

    I have a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I just got a new iPhone 15 Pro Max. My car only has two USB ports, no usb-c. I got these adapters to use an apple factory cord in my car and I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now with zero issues with my apple car play!

    Good so far.

    This adapter helps immeasurably in dealing with recent changes in Apple connector cables that are now USB-C on both ends. For example connecting an iPhone 15 to a USB-A port in cars with USB ports would not be possible without an adapter such as the Basesailor device. I gave four stars only because I have only had the product for a week. Use over time will speak to its durability and performance. One week in- so far so good.

    It works… but when I use it for charging my iWatch it gets pretty toasty. Charges my stuff, doesn’t seem to charge very quickly though. I’ll be getting something else sooner than later but it’s worked for what I needed it to, when I needed it. Worth the money.

    Fixed my Carplay issue with my IPhone 15!

    This adapter along with an OEM Apple cable helped my IPhone 15 work using Carplay as my car only had USB-A and my iPhone has USB-C. Other adapters can have issues working I found from research.

    I bought this because my Apple dvd SuperDrive wasn’t working with a corded usb to usb-c adapter. It works with this style. They are nice and small too so they are easy to travel with and doesn’t add unnecessary length to your existing cable

    Works everywhere except the car

    This works great with charging cubes, with my laptop, but it has trouble with cars. I use this with my phone charger to connect it to the car for GPS navigation, but the car always disconnects my phone or says it’s not supported. My phone also goes crazy saying something is wrong with the cable (debris etc). However, my phone is fine when connected to a laptop or outlet.

    I accidentally bought usb C to usb C charger cords when I really needed usb A to usb C. These make the cords usable for me. I have no idea how it affects the speed but I’m not getting a message that I’m not using fast charging so I think it works fine.

    Adapter quality

    The connectors were purchased to connect an external SSD drive to a NAS. The overall quality of these adapters is very good. The dimensions and tolerances on the USB-C and USB connectors are very good, meaning the male and female connectors maintain a good fit; on the cable feeding the adapter and the port the adapter feeds into.

Anyway, with these, I can charge the iWatch on my couch. Fit is a little tight, but ok. I bought the turquoise as a splurge, just wanted the color.
