I have always been fine with a Large size T-shirt
BEWARE! I have always been fine with a Large size T-shirt. But heard one should order a size larger with SPANX . So ordered an XL compression.. Prompt delivery. But a nightmare to try to get into it.. Couldn’t even stretch it enough to get my head in to start with. I possibly could fit into an XXL, or XXXL, but I’ve lost all confidence in SPANX compression T-shirts. My trainer told me he had to get 2 people to help him out of a SPANX compression T-shirt, and he doesn’t buy them anymore. Company needs to re-evaluate and correct sizing charts, and label T-shirts realistically as to size, to correspond to “normal” fitted T-shirts..

Sizing chart is completely wrong
After reading the reviews and following the sizing chart suggestions, I placed my order for the suggested size. Not only is it too small, but it isn’t even big enough to get over my shoulders. It said I should get a Large based on my body measurements, so I ordered a Large. After receiving it, I should have ordered a 2XL or 3XL. Either what I was sent for a girls/women’s Large, or it’s mislabeled. And, I didn’t know Spanx products were made in Egypt.

I pretty much knew what i was expecting from this shirt, while I do plan to buy another 1, Im not in love with the shirt, I have a large gut so I wanted to try and slim it down through compression. A while back, I hurt my knee working out and had to use a brace. I noticed my other knee look bigger and felt losses, which is why i bought the shirt in the first place. After 3 hours of wearing it, I took the shirt off and wore another one, my shirts fix much looser afterwards. So their is a different right away; sometime later, I could see my self wearing it all day and night and not have a problem. It was fairly warm to day about 25*C, but i felt cool and comfortable.I do wonder how long until I should replace it.

Feel more confident
I purchased a size smaller than i normally wear for normal clothes. Initially I found the product hard to get on and had to have help from another person.While wearing it does provide compression and assisted with my posture. It can ride up after sitting down and getting up a number of times but this is not noticeable. Product traps the heat so can get a little warm. I have only worn it once so far and wore it for the whole day and was happy with the results. you won’t appear very slim however it will make some difference.Product was easier to take off than to put on. Product care label advises cold machine wash, no tumble dry or iron.

Spanx more around the belly please
Overall a nice piece but it could be even more slimming in the mid section (i.e. the belly). I do not have much of a belly but this shirt doesn’t do much to reduce the appearance of what I have. It is relatively easy to put on but quite a challenge to remove. Some practice will probably make it easier over time. The material is pretty thick so this is not for very hot days–at least not while outdoors.

Finally something for us guys!
As expected, the shirt fits rather tight and is a bit difficult to get on and off, but that’s to be expected. First thing to note is that if you have back issues, this shirt will indeed help alleviate some of the pain as it provides great back support.It definitely takes in the areas that you want to have taken in and is still surprisingly breathable and comfy! This will definitely help in wearing things like suit coats and dress shirts! I highly recommend it to any guy looking to get a little bit of confidence!

It does the job
It’s not as tight as other compression shirts I’ve worn in the past but it does the job. I got it to wear under dress shirts with a tie on but it looks enough like a regular tee shirt that I could wear it without a tie. I normally wear a XL but I got a large to get a tighter fit and I’m still able to slip it in and off.

Definitely helps the gut
I wish they were a little more economical and I would own 10 of them. As it is, I wear them everyday and generally end up washing them as I go. I own both the tank and the t. Not sure there is away around it, but be prepared for deodorant marks on the shirt.

Husband loves it
I was nervous about purchasing due to some reviewers complaining about the sizing, but having had experience with the Spanx brand myself I decided to order an XXL, which is true to my husbands size. He is a big and tall guy (6’5″) and sometimes has an issue with the length of an XXL versus an XLT, however, this shirt fit him perfectly. It does hold in the sides and tummy area, just what he was looking for.

ohhh man its tight
i like it i got the medium i usually wear a large, when i saw the shirt i questioned if i was going to fit in it because it looked like a shirt a 8 year old would wear. one arm in, then the head and then the other arm the only way i get in it, once its on it holds you together, i use it a an undershirt for my dress shirts. Does its job!!!

Spanx Cotton Compression Crew Neck T Shirt
It is not about the sweating, it is about keeping what needs to be kept in place where it should be, and this thing works, it was doctor recommended and it fits like it should, tight and snug. Crew neck is perfect for the back to stay in place. The good thing is it is make of cotton fiber and has no velcro which is a problem for some people when it scratches the skin.

Meh. The first shall become last
Spanx kind of started the true compression shirts, but they stopped there. No fabric difference for chest vs. belly vs. back. Starts losing compression after about 15 washes, even in cold water, drip dry. There are better and cheaper options.

It Works

I recently had extensive abdominal surgery and I wear these for additional support during everyday to more vigorous movement. This didn’t have the level of abdominal control that other spanx shirts have. But then again, they were about $20 cheaper. Still all in all, good support.

If you can afford it, GET IT!
Wow! I was skeptical about buying a $50 undershirt, but this thing is something else! I actually did not find it too hard to slip on/off as others have posted. The material is so nice and comfortable, not hot at all, in fact it looks basically like any other undershirt so people will not know that you’re wearing compression stuff underneath. But the FEEL…it feels amazing! Keeps your midsection nice and tight, back straight, tummy tucked in. I felt taller and walked, stood and even sat straighter. It made me feel very confident. I loved it so much, I wore it two days in a row (yeah, sorry). Anyway, they are pricey, but if you can afford it, they’re totally worth it. Im’a slowly start replacing all my undershirts for these, maybe buy one every month for a year…

Expensive but worthwhile
Order a size up gents, I normally wear LG but got an XL. Otherwise works great, keeps me aware of my otherwise awful posture and somehow keeps my shirt tucked in too. A lot of my clothes that were uncomfortably tight now fit! I am a bit overweight with a beer gut and not obese though – I can only speak for my body type.

It works!
That’s the best compliment a product can get – – “It works”. Used it for an interview and it allowed my suit to fit very comfortably. Good soft fabric. I have to say I was a skeptic because I previously bought a cheaper item – – terrible experience, but this Spanx shirt worked fine.

none of them provides the useful compression that Spanx does
I’ve tried several highly regarded compression shirts ( mostly athletic brands), none of them provides the useful compression that Spanx does. Like other real compression garments, they take some work getting on, and look/feel like they are way too small the first time you try them. But that’s how the compression magic happens. We wash them in cold water in the machine, but they also hand wash easily in the bathroom sink and dry in a couple hours, so good for travel. As an added bonus, clothes sit very smoothly over them, kind of like having a primer coat for a paint job. I like the original zoned performance model better than this one, which is why only 4 stars.

These are just awesome, which the price wasn’t so high though!
I absolutely love these, I use them as lumbar supper and they really help keep my back straight.I really wish they were a little cheaper so I could buy more than one at a time, but they are worth it nonetheless.Warning: these tend to adsorb your deodorant and it’s very hard to get out (especially if you use the dry stuff) — this ends up discoloring the shirt and does not wash out in a normal washer. Also, after about a year of use they started to tear in the armpit area but I literally wore them daily (I had 2 and switched between them daily) for almost an entire year.

Works well, not very durable.
I have a “pooch” from a previous surgery that left me with a surgical hernia. When wearing tighter shirts it really stands out on my left side.LOve the way this worked, but I’ve had 2 and they both tore holes in the front when putting them on. 1 is still wearable, but they are very delicate for being so stretchy. Works great and slims my profile but for the money they cost I wish they were more durable.

I would probably buy another if the price was a little better. It is a very comfortable undershirt and doesn’t cause nearly as much sweating as other compression tops tend to do. I do wish it fit a little better though. It was just slightly too large around the waist to the point that a size smaller wouldn’t have fit in the chest and shoulder area but would have been perfect around the stomach.

Your still look heavy, but in style
I was getting married and knew there’d be photo evidence later. So I bought this accessory to help my “profile” for the big day. It was not too bad to get on and off but I have to say, if your 20lbs overweight you are not going to look slim, just less fat. It’s not going to get you from X-large to Med by putting it on. It’d probably help the Larges look more Med. Judging from the evidence photo’s I’d be better served getting on the elliptical regularly again and cutting down the visits to the ice cream parlor. 8-

Worn Under a 3 Piece Suit
I purchased this shirt to wear under my suit at my wedding a month ago (May) in the hopes that it would help tuck an ever so slight amount of flab around my waist in order to make my suit fit and contour more nicely.Well, this worked but not quite as I had hoped. That’s not to say this product doesn’t work for those purposes, as it did tighten up my mid section but it didn’t constrict quite as much as I had hoped for given the price that I paid.Still, this is a nice fitting shirt that didn’t mess up post washing machine and it worked well enough that I don’t regret purchasing it.For reference:I weigh about 180lbs at a height of 5’11. I wore this shirt under a full 3 piece suit, in the middle of May, in a rather hot and humid southern American state, without breaking an extra sweat.

Does what it’s suppose to do.
If you’re looking to “slim down” for a special occasion this product is for you! I don’t know about wearing it all day, but it seemed very comfortable during the 3 to 4 hours that I wore it. It has its limits, so don’t buy if you’re really overweight. I was initially hesitant to purchase this item, but I am honestly happy that I did.

Good Shirt, Very High Price
I compared this shirt to the Champion compression t-shirts available elsewhere on Amazon. The Spanx model is of discernibly better quality than the Champion shirts and the compression is much better. However, you have to decide if paying $50 for a t-shirt is worth the minor increase in quality. It was not for me.

I loved this shirt. Sure it’s a bit hard to get on, but it really does the job. I’ve lost 100 lbs and hate tucking in shirts (as I have a permanent muffin top). This shirt solved it! I was worried that it would be too warm, but that’s not the case. It’s actually pretty breathable. The shirt rocks and highly recommend it.

I wear a size 50 suite and the 2XL is the right fit for me. Good compression. I have flank hernia repairs on both sides that have left me with a bulge that this definitely helps control. The cotton fabric is much better than the nylon option which traps heat much more.

At first it’s a bit snug, but then after you get the shirt on, it has an immediate slimming effect. I found it really comfortable to wear all day. I just put them through their first wash. I hung dry them since our cold setting isn’t really cold water.
