Tis a good product but my canary does not like it. He’s set in his ways. Also, I did not think of it, but I hang his cage and it is too heavy on one side of the cage, so the cage hangs lopsided. I can’t actually use it for him. I will give it away or keep it for another bird another time.

Great for smaller birds, not cockatiel size
I really like this feeder, however, I do have a few points to make.It has been in the cage with my cockatiels for a week. I’ve watched them try to access the seed and as much as they “can do it” it isn’t easy for them and they barely ate any seed that week. They choose to eat pellets that they usually do not like instead because it was easier.So, I guess what I’m saying is, it works well, the tray catches the husks beautifully, but I wouldn’t recommend it for cockatiel sized birds.Anything smaller like a parrotlette or budgie would be perfect.It is a great product, it is made we’ll, and works as described which is why I gave it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A rarity works exactly as advertised.

Pretty good
I wanted this to hopefully avoid the mess my bird makes, but it seems that not all of the hulls fall thru the cracks and i find myself having to move them out myself a few times a week. Also it doesn’t 100% fit on my cage i have the to have the catcher drawer a little pulled out in order for it to work. Just might be becuase i have an older style cage with a plastic bottom.

Works great but I wish the shell catching part was a little deeper. It fills fast with 2 birds. Also, I had to break through the plastic to get the screw in to install it. Thankfully it didn’t crack.

Love this bird feeder! My son (4) loves to help with his birds and now he can feed them without me worrying that the birds are going to fly out if he decides they need food and I’m not right there. I waste a lot less food also! A huge plus. It keeps the mess down and overall, I wish I had this when I had birds when I was younger.

A money saver
This little food tray really works, it saves money they mainly eat what comes out of the slot the food don’t get wasted, it saves time on cleanup not much Mess on the floor as usually, I used to sweep every other day now once a week I love this little food tray. Can’t beat the price. and fast shipping, plus easy to hang up on the cage.

No mess self bird feeder
Best purchase we have made for our budgies.No more seed all over the floor and having to vacuum 1000 times a day!We purchased 2 of them so the birds have one each.Easy to install. Birds worked out how to use it within minutesOnly regret is I did not buy it sooner.

Great solution for feeding budgies.
These are great. Unfortunately I wish I’d introduced my birds when they were younger. They were so used to their previous feed holder that they wouldn’t even try these. Gave up and gave them to a friend, her birds love them.

No hole for bolt attachment to cage
The size and idea is great. However, there is no hole for the bolt to go in. Thus I am unable to attach it to cage to test it!! Worried about cracking whole unit as it’s brittle plastic. Would not recommend since you can’t attack to cage with the included bolts!!

I got this feeder to help keep things cleaner and because my parakeet has a habit of pooping in his food dish. I’ve had this feeder for about a week and it’s solved both of the issues i had. My parakeet was a little apprehensive at first but he likes it now. It’s a lot less mess and very easy to clean by sliding the pan out of the bottom. I clean the pan daily, since some of the hulls fall back into the food part rather then the grate I clear that out once a day too. If food gets packed a bit too tight I have to shake it down a little. 10/10, I wish I’d known about this type of feeder sooner

The Best!
This gravity fed bird feeder is the best purchase I have made in a while. It works perfectly! It fit great in the already existing food doors. It catches mostly all of the used seed, and saves me a ton of money on seed. There is zero waste now that I bought this. I liked it so much I bought 2 of them. Highly recommended!

Works good, bottom doesn’t close completely
Good product. The bottom catch bin, unfortunately because the way our cage is, doesn’t close completely. It spills bird food all over because of the gap. Other than that it works like it should.

i just hope i’m feeding my bird enough. he was either wasting too much food from his other feeder or he’s not pulling enough out of the feeder. the waste all over has not continued, just hope i’m feeding him enough.

Some seeds still fall but it is much less. I might consider getting a second one as it’s too small for them to both comfortably use it at the same time. Maybe they will learn to share lol. 10/10 happy with my purchase.

reconsider if you have Budgies
i have medium budgies and they hate this feeder. they use it, i can just feel their rage evry time they do. the opening where the seed is dispensed is narrow so the birds have to twist their heads very awkwardly to eat it. it is only as wide as their beak. they hate it. i wish it was bigger. i may trim mine

The birds love it. It’s easy to use less food being wasted. Just make sure you have a door on the outside of your cage that it can connect to. I had to tie mine on the inside of the cage because the door on my birdcage is too wide for it to fit in there, snug.

Constant access to food
I like that I don’t constantly have to worry if my little buddies have enough food. What I don’t like is it isn’t big enough for both of my Parakeets to eat at the same time so there is constant bickering. They seem to like it!

Best for saving money on food and clean up
I wish I would have found this a year ago. It is so much easier to add food and clean up the shells after they eat. It will save you so much money by not discarding seeds not eaten with in the shucks. I filled up the container and watched my 2 Cockatiels eat all week without worrying if they are getting enough. You can see the level slowly go down as they eat and you clean the bottom tray from the eaten food. Way better that cleaning up the seeds they put on top of the old container and push off onto the floor. I would recommend this to any small bird owner.

No more mess or bird trying to bathe in her food dish!
I have a lutino parakeet that is fiesty and loves to bathe in her food dish and throw her food everywhere! I bought this in hopes it would stop her from going into her food dish and making such a huge mess. While she did try to get into the dish at first, she quickly realized it wasn’t fun and since then she hasn’t tried at all. The drop dish at the bottom perfectly collects all the seed husks and I love that I can fill the trough and not have to add more for at least a week! While I won’t say it is 100% mess free as some seed still gets out and my bird still throws some with her beak, it is a TON better. It did take her a day to get used to the feeder and being so “visible” through the glass was a little unsettling for her but I just gave her space and she quickly learned to use it and that she wasn’t being threatened during eating time.

Great bird feeder.
I love this bird feeder. It gives the birds more room in their cage. It looks great. There is less mess because the shells go into the tray below. It’s not perfect and some seeds do fall on the ground but it’s better than the standard bird feeder. It’s easy to install, add bird seed, and easy to clean. We bought this because one of our parakeets was sitting in the bird seed tray and pushing out all the seeds. She can’t do that with this bird feeder so it solved that problem.

I have 4 birds so this is just so much easier to feed them works great , sometimes the food comes out the bottom, but I just taped it so it’s closed off and works great , one little flaw but would buy again for sure for the convenience
