Cheap alternative, but smells leak through
Cheaper than the “original” genie brand, but opt for the scented ones instead. Durability seems to be the same, but the bags get stinky when full. The scented version can at least mask the smells.

Poop log
This does exactly as needed. Keeps the smelly diapers contained. Some odor when you open the lid to deposit of another diaper but otherwise keeps things fresh as a daisy. When emptying the poop log keeps everything contained and easy to throw away.

Almost as good as the big name brand.
I bought these for the Diaper Genie Expressions, pushed it down firmly to make it fit snug but these might be a tad too big as Diaper Genie Expressions lid won’t close. I had to force it down and lid popped up right back up. I made sure to follow the instructions exactly. It’ll stay closed but you have to force it shut initially.

A bit thin but worth it for the price
The material is a bit thinner than name-brand refills, but for the money you save it’s easily overlooked. Just don’t drop a tied off log of diapers on the floor too aggressively or it might explode and you’ll have diapers all over the floor. Don’t ask how I learned that could happen lol.

I feel like this product is dispensed backwards which makes the tub push up when a diaper drops in making the lid harder to close.

Doesn’t fit with the lid
It doesn’t fit all the way with the diaper genie lid on so when you put a diaper in, they don’t go in all the way. We just took the lid off and it works that way.

Cheaper Alternative for Diaper Genie Bags
I really like the Playtex Diaper Genie bag because of how thick they are and they have a light fresh scent, so I was skeptical to try the ChoiceRefill brand since they are significantly less expensive. We received the Diaper Genie starter kit at our baby shower and when I went to restock the bags, I was shocked they were over $40 for a pack of 8 refill bags. When I saw the ChoiceRefill bags were half the price for 8 bags- I had to try them. We’ve been using them for about a 2 months now and I have to say, the cost savings alone are worth it. I still prefer the Playtex brand over the ChoiceRefill from a quality perspective. The ChoiceRefill brand bags are thinner but still durable, and they don’t have any kind of scent. However, I haven’t noticed his room smell any different, so the bags still do a great job odor blocking. Saving $20 for bags that my baby’s dirty diapers go in, well worth the switch. I do still use the Diaper Genie Carbon Filters to also help with the smell of the Diaper Genie so I know that helps too. I haven’t tried an alternative brand for the filters yet!

Not an exact fit, not as much bag as claimed
Using our Munchkin diaper pail it doesn’t fit right, it sits in the receptacle but doesn’t lock into place like some other brands, it’s also a bit too tall. The bags seem to run out after 5-6 times which leads me to believe there’s not as much bag in each spool as is claimed.

Received one that was empty
Yeah received the pack of 8 with only 7 filled. Got to the last one and to my surprise I open it and no bags inside of it. Very odd. But that’s only happened once, otherwise good product.

Not a true fit
The bag is fine quality and they do technically work in a Diaper Genie. However, they are not a true fit. The bottom of the cartridge is fully flat, whereas the Diaper Genie has an angle where the cartridge sits. This causes the cartridge to sit up higher and therefore prevent the lid from closing fully. Sometimes you can shove the lid down and it will stay but normally only when the cartridge is freshly changed and there are no diapers in it yet.

Perfect for diaper Genie

Go with Name Brand
Granted they fit and worked but the plastic isn’t as thick as the diaper genie ones and the smell of the diapers was horrible in the Diaper Genie. You could smell the diapers outside of the pale changed the filter and everything, but nothing helped. I ended up just going back to the name brand thicker bags that kept the smell under control. Have 7 left if anyone wants them. Have it 2 stars because they do for and etc but as a boy mom not worth it.

Just as Good as Diaper Genie!
We have a regular Diaper Genie and go through lots of bags! The Diaper Genie bags are more expensive, so we decided to give these a try. They pull easily through the diaper genie and seem to keep out doors and smells equally to the diaper genie bags (which of course never perfectly mask all the smells).After using these once, we have been buying them consistently ever since. They are a strong plastic that fits the diaper genie very well. The only difference I’ve noticed is the color is slightly darker than the name brand bags which doesn’t matter at all. An excellent and more affordable dupe! Baby products are expensive enough, so I’d recommend this switch to save at least a little for something you will buy over and over again.

We’ve used both name brand, Amazon brand, and these, and these are by far the best! With name brand, the entire room smells horrible. The Amazon brand ones bust easily. These contain smell, are sturdy, and are the most affordable. SO impressed!

Can’t hold as many diapers as advertised
These definitely can’t hold as many diapers as advertised, but they’re much more affordable compared to everything else on the market. Works well with the Munchkin Step Pail. Decent quality, way better than the Target brand ones and even cheaper too! There’s a small learning curve, but the black end-of-the-roll indicator line at the end is very helpful.

Diaper Genie bags are pretty simple but things can go wrong if they’re not formed right… like having the bag welded to itself or the container, accidental double-bags and other things I’ve noticed about the official bags… well so far I haven’t had any of those issues with these and they’ve been working quite well! Better than the official ones and a lot cheaper. Win win!

Theyre worth the $$
We were gifted the diaper genie bundle, that lasted us about 8.5 months. Once we ran out i turned to the amazon brand bags 6 pack i think it was(unsure how many before i bought this pack of 8) and they lasted me for around 7 months ! Super durable. Each roll lasts about a month or more even tho we take out the trash as soon as trash day rolls around. So definitely recommend buying these over the expensive brand name ones !

Worthwhile savings
These bags are not only a fraction of the name brand, but function in an identical fashion. Contrary to what the MFG of the diaper genie would like others to believe, generic brands do work in the receptacle.The plastic wrapper the pack ships in is aggressively durable, perhaps as a last defense against what the poor bags will be subjected to.Scent, none that I know of, though it does a great job of keeping diaper smells contained within, like some bag of holding stuck in dante’s inferno.Extra benefit: My 9 month old has informed me that the the top of each “ring” of bags are frisbees and fascinating toys to flail about, at least until they can be reclaimed during her next nap.Caution: As my husband learned, these bags, while strong, are not invincible. Throwing them down a normal set of stairs like a barbarian will cause the bag to rupture at the seams about one in every sixteen times. Props to the MFG for lulling him into a false sense of security.

Works well
I use these bags with my diaper genie and they work just as well as the name brand I had been using before and a lot cheaper. They’re easy to apply and keep the smell in. I haven’t experienced and tears or holes in any of the liners so I plan on using this brand in the future.

Great Alternative to the Name Brand
We have 2 diaper genies and 2 kids still using diapers.. so we need a LOT of diaper bags. This product works perfectly with the Diaper Genie and there is no scent (which I prefer). The bags hold well and seems to be exactly the same functionality as the name brand at less cost!

Holds many many diapers
Once I figured out you cut and tie them once the bag is full we realized how much easier these were than regular ones. At times the whole bag may fall through, but it may be because the actually diaper genie is totally full and it has no more room to go.
