Awesome pc that doesn’t take up any space. Fast boot up and easy to set up.

Very Pleased!
We converted our Church office computer from a 2011 Windows I-3 machine to this Chromebox5. It was extremely easy to set up and integrated perfectly with our monitor, webcam and printers and has provided an economical solution to updating our office system. This system is very fast, efficient and safe and we are very Pleased with this choice.

Setup and boot time is extremely fast!!
I’m glad ASUS stays in this niche product. This box actually looks nice on the desktop. But it’s the performance that is the real win. This chromebox will give any mac mini a run for its money.

Great solution
My personal PC is a non updated Windows 7 that I have had for over a decade and I will ride it into the ground. Unfortunately, I have been stuck with a Windows 10 PC for work that I absolutely hate. Takes forever to be usable after boot, wonky updates and just the overall unpleasantness of the W10 environment was driving me bonkers. I had thought about the Chrome Box as a solution for a while and the only regret I have is that I didn’t get it sooner. It’s ready to go instantly upon start up, handles multiple tabs and streaming with ease with no janky Windows nonsense. As an added bonus, it has a Linux interface that will allow you to install non native programs like Signal. Initially, I couldn’t be more pleased.

Good mini PC – No Wireless Charging
Despite Asus advertising this Mini PC especially for his Wireless Charging feature… they also sell a version without, which is what most people will end up buying for 2 reasons:- Misleading pictures showing a mobile on top of the MiniPC- Slightly cheaper than the Wireless Charing modelOther than that. No brainer, best mini PC with Chrome OS, hands down. Perfect as HTPC. If you need to play games, look at the i5 and i7 versions.

Happy so far
So far it’s doing everything I hoped it would. I haven’t really stressed it with a heavy workload yet, but I have experienced none of the problems some others have reported.

Good value for a simple PC to access the internet.
I bought this for my mother in law (89 years old) to use as a simple internet terminal for accessing internet news sites, email, Facebook, Amazon, etc. I used it with the large monitor, mouse, and keyboard from her old Windows PC, so she doesn’t have to contend with the small screens and cramped keyboards of a typical inexpensive Chromebook. Now I don’t have to worry about antivirus programs, OS updates, or malware getting accidentally installed. Has plenty of memory, more than fast enough for her purposes. I was also able to get it to work with an existing Brother laser printer, and new Canon scanner. Just plugged those two things into the USB ports, and they worked. So she can also copy and print documents.

Not a high performer. Did not switch between accounts easily.
This Chromebox was compact, simple, low-power and noise free; however, ironically, it is much easier to switch between different Google accounts using the Chrome browser on Windows than on the Chromebox than on a Chromebox. Performance at times was sluggish. I switched to a Beelink Ryzen 7 box and I am much happier because it is also compact and noise-free, but is also always responsive and manages multiple accounts better.

Using Ethernet Port Causes WiFi Network Drops
These work well overall EXCEPT — and this is glaring — when you join the chrome box to a network using an Ethernet cable instead of WiFi any devices connected to WiFi on the same network will drop their connections within five minutes. At first I thought it was my router, but I eventually narrowed it down to the chrome box. I ordered another chrome box and it caused the same problem. When I switch the chrome box to WiFi there are no such drops. Even if you don’t use Ethernet, if you pay for an Ethernet port you should get an Ethernet port.

Built in Qi charger
ASUS makes great Chromeboxes; this one is the best by far, with the 12th gen Intel i3 and Qi charger. If you are interested in the wireless charger be sure that what you order has a WC at the end of the model number. It is only a $15 upgrade over the model without the WC. I am receiving a warranty extension from ASUS for my feedback.
