A Simple but effective device
The pump and nozzle work extremely effectively. I use mine with the simple, single nozzle rather than a spray. This shoots a jet about 60cm high, which I think provides both a pleasant tinkling sound and movement on the surface. I found that preferable to the spray nozzles which can block, although to be fair, infrequently. The nozzle-section floats quite happily, and the generous length of lead makes it easy to position in a large garden pond. I made a simple stand, inclined at 50deg, to protect the panel and position it for maximum power.Important: The battery back-up enables it to work in reduced light levels. If the light level falls too low, the pump stops completely for a short time and then picks up again. I would recommend a device with battery or storage backup.I find that the filter is quite good, just occasionally a Silver Birch seed (of which there are literally millions) can partly block the nozzle, but cleaning is quick and trouble-free.I’m really pleased with mine. Also, I feel that the safety aspect is important, as mains voltage and water really don’t mix. No mains wires, no expensive rewiring. Plug it in and you have a fountain. It’s not on a par with the Versailles fountains, but it works

Lovely
We have turned an old butler sink into a beautiful water feature using this item. It’s perfect as the spread of the water means it doesn’t overflow it. Plus, with the different included sprayers, you can find a combination that suits you. There’s a battery inside the solar unit, so, when it goes dark, you still get roughly 30 minutes to an hour of it working. The solar panel is a good size for the pump, not like previous ones we’ve tried in the past where you barely get a trickle of water. This one, if you just have the water going up in one single stream, it’s a good height.Wiring, plenty long enough wire, and, with the solar panel being able to attatch to a fence, or, have it lying down as it has little feet so you can angle it.Honestly, with so many rubbish ones on the market, this one really is top notch.

It’s a real pity the solar panel isn’t more powerful it did say it would work on a small water feature but it isn’t powerful enough, but it does work lovely as a fountain so it’s not wasted.

? how long it will work.
I purchased this pump as a replacement,i purchased one in june 2021 and i was very happy with it,i cleaned the pump regularly as instructed and i put it in my shed in november to protect it from the frost,i brought it back out in April and it only worked for about two weeks,it had been in use for about 5 months,it was still under guarantee but my seller had disappeared so i could’nt contact them,i do feel this new one is’nt as powerful even though its meant to have been improved,i just hope it lasts longer this time.

Great fountain but stopped after 10 months
Initially very happy, worked very well giving a good fountain for almost a year, including working intermittently in low light conditions as it uses the battery, but as other reviewers have found, it does not last. A great shame.

Battery capacity is inadequate

1) well built seems sturdy2) good length of cable3) battery capacity is inadequate 😐4) early mornings and cloudy days it’s intermittent5) if you disconnect the cable and allow the battery to charge and connect the cable then it runs smoothly problem occurs when the battery is drained over night and then it takes time to charge and discharge at the same time possibly a bigger solar plate can fix that.

Useful pump for its size
I purchased this in September 2020 and set it up in a home made half barrell in the garden. Even on the sunniest of days, the solar panel doesn’t appear to put enough power into the rechargeable cells on the back, so doesn’t work for that long after sunset. However when the sky is blue and bright, it pumps well and continuously. The pump motor then failed in early June 2021. I know this because there was still 8 volts plus coming from the solar panel. I contacted the supplier about this and after they asked me to supply a picture of it not working, within a few days they kindly sent me a complete replacement so I am totally satisfied with their after service care and responses to my communications with them. It’s lovely to see it all working again. I don’t know if the star rating for suction is related to the suction of the pump or the suction of the 3 little suckers on the bottom of the pump to help it stick to the pond liner so I’ve assumed it is talking about the amount of water it sucks up and this is ample for a small water feature – actually it’s almost too powerful when you add the fountain attachments, so mine is rigged up to a silicone tube and pours back into the pond via a constructed copper pipe, and it looks like a running tap. Image 1 is original set up with water pumping up an out of a plastic tube, then images 2 and 3 are with the copper pipe now fitted. Took me a while to construct the table top. Pond plants still to add!

Very good, just one small issue
The media could not be loaded.
I was a bit hesitant about buying a solar powered pump/fountain as had one several years ago and it was rubbish, however this one works excellently in full sun and even when gloomy you still get an intermittent burst. The only issue I have with it is that there’s no spike to stick it in the ground so you just have to prop it up against something, this is a bit of a pain as I can’t get full sun all the time so constantly moving it around.

A winner for the UK weather
I have a half barrel pond that I was previously using a solar power bank and usb pump to keep the water moving. I have tried several other solar pumps but always had the same problem – no power on slightly cloudy days. I have no outdoor power so was just resigned to charging the bank indoors every few days.I saw this pump on two Youtube videos from fellow DIYers and thought I’d give it a go. I’m so glad I did because it works a dream. It was grey and raining today but set it up nonetheless. I put the pump in the water and it worked instantly!I highly recommend this to anyone.

Just a toy.
I plugged this in and it worked for just over an hour and then stopped. That was the end of the battery life it came with. Leaving it out, it just dribbled out of the end at best. The only way I have been able to get it to work again is by leaving the solar panel in the sunniest position and waiting for a day or so before I plug it in again. So it’s not something to leave out, but something to play with once in a while.I probably need to get a proper pump that is plugged in to the mains…

I am really pleased with of the Aistin solar fountain. In the box was the pump, solar panel and 6 nozzles.Connecting the pump to the panel for the first time I was shocked at how powerful the pump was. Each of the six nozzles create an impressive jet or jets of water which can reach some height. I’ve had in the past a floating solar pump but the solar panel ring always needed full sunlight as the slightest of shadows and the pump would stop. This on the other hand can come with some shadow over the solar panel, however for the best results you want to make sure that the panel gets as much sun as possible. This is made easier by the fact that the connecting cable is a decent length meaning you can position the panel in the best place. The battery is a great idea as it does allow it to continue to work in the evening as it starts to get duller. My only criticism would be that I’ve found the pump does get easily blocked due to the small holes where is sucks in the water. It’s just meant I’ve had to make sure that the water is as clear of any bird of weed etc. first thing in the morning the fountain can struggle a bit but that’s due in part to not enough light getting to the panel so you end up with a 5 seconds squirt of water and then it stops again but this is due to the panel not getting enough light which is to be expected.Overall I am throughly impressed. If yiu take the time to find a location for the panel where it’s going to receive the most amount of sunlight as possible you can’t fail to be impressed.

Great little fountain
The media could not be loaded.
I bought this with confidence as I purchased this last year and was great all through the summer and even on cloudier days. Unfortunately I didn’t take it out at winter and it failed to work this year. However this is a great little fountain and has quite a bit of power considering it’s size. My review is based on the smallest shoot setting but other attachments can be added to make it shoot higher and sprinkle if required. The cord on this is really long so I was able to put the panel in a nice sunny spot and still have plenty of lead to run it along my decking hiding it along the way. I wanted a water feature that didn’t require outside plumbing ect and this is perfect for that. Some people commented on last years version of this that it stopped working after a couple of weeks but that is more than likely a blockage. The pump will come apart to clean out any debris that may have built up. I once had a long hair that had tangled around the motor stopping it from working but once removed it was fine. The only thing I can suggest is to disconnect when the colder months approach, give it a good clean out and store for winter or it will more than likely freeze and break like mine did.Highly recommend 😁

Love this fountain. Couldn’t understand why lots of comments about no on/off switch for this but soon found out why. When the wind blows it blows the water out of my fountain meaning I was constantly topping it up. Soon rectified this by just disconnecting the solar panel from the pump when it was too windy. Apart from that its great 👍

Happy with fountain till……
I have been very happy with the fountain . Bought it last June ( 2022 ). It has worked perfectly up till now . It even worked during the winter . The problem started a couple of weeks ago . The fountain started to work only every now and then . Then it stopped . At the time we had glorious sun . Checked the filer etc ( very easy to do ) I think the battery has died .The battery is in a sealed plastic part on the back of the solar panel . Not wanting to damage the solar panel . I thought I would contact Aisitin for advice . No reply to my 3 emails through their help page . I also contacted Amazon but they steered me to Aisitin .I have been happy with the product but when I needed help Aisitin have completely blanked me .Hopefully someone from Aisitin reads these comments and gets back to me .

Really easy to install but falls apart in use
This is a tiny pump that is really easy to set up and install. It’s pretty powerful given the size and provided a nice quiet fountain effect in my pond within minutes of setting it up on a sunny day. The filter does get clogged though it is easy to clean.I changed the fitting to include the connector tube as that looked better on Photo A however the power of the pump means the tube, foam and fitting just fly off. The connector tube is just a push-on fitting onto the pump and needs to be a screw type. Could also do with a longer cable so only gave 4 star.

The pump is way under 6.5W – only the panel has 6.5W. That’s why one star lower. But apart from that, it’s a great product. And of course it will not last serval years, not for that price.

There are cheaper ones available but this one has battery storage (so runs for a while even when the sun has gone in) and a cut out if the water level drops. Used it to make a DIY water feature which imv pleased with. Hopefully it will last a long while. It is important to clean them off occasionally so they don’t get clogged up. My bowl is a bit small so I can’t interchange the various spray heads so it would probably suit a slightly bigger bowl or pond. Solar power works well

A powerful little fountain but filter blocks easily (Updated)
I have only had this fountain a few days but so far have been very impressed. It is much more powerful than than my old floating one which had the solar panels built in. This has a long lead so you have lots of options where to put the solar panel and it works very well even on a dull day. It is in a small outside pond which is quite weedy and as the filter cover for the motor has quite large slots it soon blocked up. This may turn out to be a downside but a previous review suggested putting a piece of sponge over it with elastic bands which seems to be a good idea. I am trying a small piece of scouring pad instead as this is similar to the material used in the filter in my old pump.UPDATE. PROBLEM SOLVED (Hopefully!) The scouring pad filter worked better than nothing but still became blocked after a few hours. This must be because the pump is quite powerful for it’s size and quickly sucks any debris into the very small filter. To overcome this I was going to buy a small plastic flour sieve, attach it to the floating disc and over the pump as this would keep the pump away from direct contact with any debris in the water. Instead I used a small plastic christmas pudding basin (don’t tell the wife) because the floating disc pushed into the top perfectly. I then cut out 4 sections around the basin, put a pop sock over it to act as a large filter and 3 days later it still working perfectly.

BETTER THAN EXSPECTED
wasn’t sure on a solar water pump but this item was much better than i expected . As soon as i got it out the box the pump started, i had to turn the panel over to stop it. Replaced electric pump in water feature
The media could not be loaded.
Used this pump to replace the mains powered pump in water feature (see video). I was sceptical at first as the pump is really small! Although the product is not supposed to be used in this way – as you can see from the video it is managing to push the water vertically a couple of feet quite satisfactorily! I was lucky that the basic nozzle from this pump was a good fit for the “up” pipe in my water feature. The “floating” disc is foam with a removable centre for the nozzle, and comes with a variety of spraysThe solar panel is of a reasonable size and has a small battery back on the reverse side..Not so good points – the “feet” on the solar panel are useless. I propped it up with a stone in the end.Strong sunlight is needed to charge the solar panel and keep the pump going – even with the rechargeable battery back-up! Too many cloudy days and the performance will be affected. If you need consistency and predictability in your feature then look at a mains powered version, otherwise this fits the purpose (and is cheaper!)

Great, dose the job
The media could not be loaded.
After seeing lots of bad solar fountains, I wanted to make sure I got the most powerful one I could find, bounce how affordable this one was also. Dose it meet expectations? After seeing reviews saying left in a sunny location all day it keep running 2 hours after dark, than no, the one I have stops when the clouds pass over. Do I regret buying this, honestly I don’t. I real life, its great runs when it fancys, over having constant running water in my garden. The times it runs is when I’m most likely potting around outside, and you notice it more when it starts. It’s a steady flow, or not at all. This makes it a joy to have, rather than what the sill fountain doing now sort of thing.Lovely and easy setup, with a wide choice of heads. Some really high for something so small! I’ve choosen not to use any for the shortest flow suitable for my butler sink pond, which comes to 2 or 3 inches.Clean it, look after it and in sure it be a feature in my garden of some time to come. The solar panel is similar size to a dinner plate, so that’s excellent, just think where you will place it.

Very surprising flow rate from such a small pump
I bought this as I have just moved a water feature and could no longer get a mains cord to it. It is a child pouring water out of an urn into a pail. It has a rise of around 50cm. I have to say that when I unboxed this and saw the size of the pump I was not hopeful it would work. However, to my surprise it was able to provide the perfect flow rate such that sufficient water was pumped up to the urn to give a ideal amount of flow to make it look like water was pouring out. I should imagine a similar rise on a waterfall would also work well.I did not use or try any of the jets that came with it so cannot comment on these. It did need a reasonable amount of sun before it worked, but this is to be expected. My only criticisms are that there is no on/off switch and the mounts on the solar panel are rather limited, particularly as the battery sticks out so much. Clearly its not using any power that costs money whilst its working, but it may not be desired to have it on and whilst its running it is wearing out the pump. To mount the solar panel I was lucky in finding some long 4mm screws with the correct head size to fit in the mounting slots on the back of the solar panel. I am sure these mounts could be implemented better or at least suitable screws supplied. The issues are minor and overall I am pleased with this product. I just hope it lasts well.

Impressive.
The media could not be loaded.
I purchased this solar powered pump as an experiment to try and revive an old water feature where the mains powered pump had expired.I knew solar wouldn’t output anything like the mains powered pump but I am pleasantly surprised as it is providing more than enough water to provide a gentle trickle from the top bucket to the lower bucket, which makes for a more authentic sound (and not too loud) than was provided by the original pump. You can assist the water flow if you have a similar water feature by slightly raising the rear of the barrel, so you get a more constant flow of water from the top spout but I prefer a less constant stream of water as it’s more melodic.I used the existing hoses that came with my water feature but they were a much larger circumference, so I cable tied the original hose to the outlet of the pump and all working fine.2022 Update: I have now converted another water feature to this solar powered pump and it works just as well as the original, with both being set and forget.A family member has also converted his water feature to the same kit and he’s also very impressed.Given the impending explosion in energy costs, I couldn’t justify running electrically powered pumps for decorative water features in what is generally an unoccupied garden for the majority of the week.I would recommend disconnecting these at the end of summer and placing them in front of a garage or shed window to provide the internal battery with a modicum of energy.

Works amazingly well even in low sunlight
This little solar fountain is amazing! I set it up a three weeks ago and it’s worked well from the start. The reason I’m so impressed is that it works even in the lowest level of light. It start up just after sunrise and keeps going all day. We even modified it before installing it, by adding a 30cm piece of plastic tubing between the pump and the spray head to raise the level. I wondered if it might struggle to lift the water that far, but it’s coping well. Such neat, easy to set up and well designed simplicity is a joy!

Working great as a waterfall via a purchased plastic pipe.
The media could not be loaded.
I bought this on a whim on Prime day, as I wanted to try and use it to run a small waterfall rather than a fountain in my pond. I have a solar disc fountain that sits in the middle of the pond but was missing having the waterfall running.I bought a 1cm internal diameter x 1 metre flexible and clear plastic pipe and attached that to the 4cm long fountain spout, that I had attached to the pump – perfect fit. I didn’t use the foam disc as the stiffness of the pipe kept trying to tip the disc sideways and raise the pump out of the water. Therefore, the pump itself is just dangling in the water on the end of the pipe and wire. I think it is giving a good flow, just what I wanted for my small waterfall – a nice gentle flow, not a rush. I stood the panel up on the ground, as it looks less obtrusive there than hung on the fence, angled to catch the rays. The photo and video I have attached were taken on quite a cloudy day and it is going great. In the photo you can see the end of the pipe, with the pump going into the water in front of the 2nd stone to the right of the waterfall, then the pipe curls around to go into the top under the ‘frog’. The excess long cable is tucked behind the solar panel.I am really happy with my purchase as it is running a small waterfall, just like I wanted it to. The price I paid was great too.

Great little solar pump
I brought this around a month ago for my small, south facing pond. On sunny days – like the recent heatwave – I have a constant fountain running for most of the day and evening which looks fantastic. Today it’s cloudy and so the fountain comes on for a spell and then turns off, presumably due to the lack of power? The collection of nozzles is good but they’re all fairly similar – the one I would have liked to see is a “bell nozzle” to keep the water lower rather than shooting it upwards. The only minor negatives I’ve found are that as the pump is small and floats it can move around the pond and potentially toward the edges, and the pump can get easily blocked by gunk as it’s small (but easy to clean). These are however minor flaws in an excellently priced pump that’s easy to set-up and install.

Exactly what I needed

I’m using this pump in a water feature. Pump size is tiny and fitted very easily. Plenty of cable to allow me to conceal behind plants and run around building corner to keep the solar panel out of sight. Working straight out of box and panel isn’t even in full sun. Very happy so far

A wait and see.
Arrived quickly and easy to set up. However by day 3 not working so good, it could be due to pond water. I’ll clean it and then see how it works. When working a good fountain, so fingers crossed it will go again .

Fantastic fountain…

I purchased the fountain for a small water feature that I created. I was initially impressed by the reviews it received but wasn’t expecting much for the price and size. However I’ve been pleasantly surprised, it’s great! It even works on dull overcast days, admittedly on those days it’s sometimes quite intermittent, but I find that adds to the charm and makes it sound quite pleasant, a bit like a small stream sound not always the same. It also has quite a strong flow too and on full sun days it works all day. I’ve included a video of it working on a dull day for reference. I didn’t want to use the spray attachments (it comes with a selection of spray head attachments and they are very good when I tried them) but I wanted a more natural appearance so I left the spray head off, when I can get the water directed onto the stone ledge I’ve made it looks very natural and I love the splashing sound it makes. It’s also easy to assemble and works straight out of the box, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this fountain again, I think it’s wonderful. Hope this helps anyone thinking about purchasing it. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Good floating solar fountain
I would like to see some filtration material added to protect the pump from weed and impurities in the pond water
