    Arrived damaged

Used as an accent wall in our living room and it looks great! We needed another roll to finish the wall and we’re so excited to complete our project today but this is what we found when we opened the package.

    Try Before You Apply!

Bought this to glam up my bland apartment. It’s so pretty and definitely provides good color and class to the space. Started with my barn door, which started getting crooked halfway down. So I lifted it a few inches to fix it and it pulled the original paint off the door! At that point I figured I might as well finish since it’ll be too ugly to pull it all off. But since all the paint was stuck to the paper, it was unforgiving and left a lot of bubbles. The texture hides them a bit unless you’re right up on it so I’ll probably leave it be. Overall it’s a good buy, just have to be very careful!Advice:-cut a small square and try it on your wall before going full out-small bubbles can be fixed if you use an exacto knife to poke a small hole and let the air out-be confident and keep going, never lift or try to fix-follow the instructions and leave the one inch excess

    VERY EASY TO USE IF….

Obsessed! I wanna wrap every with it. Very easy to use IF you have a sharp cutter or exacto knife to work on the corners of my desktop drawer. I love black color on my desktop but couldn’t find one the desktop drawer that I liked and I love that it’s textured and not matted so dust wouldn’t be too obvious. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED AND WILL BUY AGAIN.

    Quick and easy application

Color wasn’t exactly as listed in the description, there was no gold, but the application was quick and simple and it actually stuck.

    Buy it now. It sticks!!!

This stuff is fantastic. I wish I found this one before a different peel and stick mishap. Don’t forget to clean the surface first. It sticks very well. Easy to apply and adjust. Looks gorgeous. I’m already looking to buy every color.

Recommend running down the side of the wallpaper with a black market before installing

Product looks and feels great. Was easy to install as well. The only thing that would make it better would be if the manufacturer made the edges of the wallpaper match the face. After installing, tiny white lines started appearing at the seams between rolls. It’s not obvious unless you’re looking for it but once you see it, you can’t unsee it. It’s probably less obvious with light patterns, but with black wallpaper, it can be quite apparent. If the side of the wallpaper was black as well, you wouldn’t see them at all. Not sure what the fix is at this point for me, will probably just live with it. Might go in with a VERY fine tip pen and a rule and see what I can fill in.

    Hard to work with

So this is pretty, and it looks OK but it’s very thin, very thin and hard to work with leaving creases and spaces. Knowing this I would’ve purchased thicker, peel, and stick.

Wow – You Painted – No it’s Wallpaper from Amazon

The media could not be loaded.

This wallpaper exceed my expectations and I couldn’t be more happier with the finished look of my kitchen. When I purchased this house I had faux wallpaper. I removed it and the walls weren’t textured. Oh no! Then I had to use kilz paint first then I painted my kitchen red. Why!!!! I purchased one roll of the paper first to see how it would look. Keep in mind I’ve never wallpapered or watched a DIY video. All I know is I was up for the challenge and wanted to make the red walls disappear. I started this project on 03/19 and completed portions of the project each evening. Please don’t worry about the seams of paper overlapping. You can’t see this unless you are truly dissecting the wall. The paper is textured and I’ll suggest to follow same pattern when applying the paper to the wall. Either apply it horizontal or vertical. If you chose to do both you will be able to see the discoloration of the pattern flow. Make no mistake the paper is all the same color. I purchased on 5 different orders and each time the paper was perfect. Expect for on one roll 10 ft. was discolored. But not a big deal because I was already enjoying the fruits of my labor. My project was I’ve 3/4 done. If you should mess you and have a wrinkle after the project is complete. Just cut that section out or cover it and you can’t tell the difference. Tip: Once yo find the rhythm in your wrist and apply correctly it absolutely will be satisfying. Hope my review helps 😁

    Love the design

I have mixed emotions about this wallpaper. It’s easy to install and sticks really well, it looked beautiful on my smaller accent wall. The only issue that I had (which ended up being major) when I used it for a larger wall, I had to purchase multiple rolls. The different batches didn’t match. Some was lighter than the other and it’s really noticeable. I took part of of down and ordered more to see if that would make the difference, it was lose lose situation. I was so disappointed.

    looks nice, unfathomably weak though

It has the durability of wet toilet paper, it comes tightly coiled in a roll and desperately tries to return to that shape, and the back is enormously sticky. Installation is a nightmare. If you can pull of a miracle of getting it to install without ripping, it’ll probably last about 3 hours unless you plan to never touch it or set anything on it ever again, or else cover it with about 10 layers of polyurethane.

Highly recommend! Sticks well and durable. Also very pretty.

I bought two different contact papers for a craft project. Both papers were black. This one had a silk embossed design while the other one was solid black. I wanted to use the papers to cover a small cardboard box. This one worked wonderfully! Unfortunately, the other one did not.Pros:• Cuts easily.• Sticks very well.• Can be repositioned if needed.• Maintained its shape (did not stretch out of shape).• Durable – does not scratch or tear easily. I used a burnishing tool to smooth it down and make strong creases, and the paper showed absolutely no marks no matter how hard I burnished it.• Very pretty design. Love that it’s not glossy all over which helped hide any small blemishes on the box. The edges also blended together very nicely.Cons:• Very sticky which made using it slightly more difficult to use. I learned to remove the backing only on the areas I was ready to stick down. It stuck to my hands and itself; however, it remained usable and showed so signs that it had become stuck to my hands and then itself.• Small rolls. Keep in mind that 8′ equals 96″ so this 118″ roll won’t cover much if used as a wallpaper. Also, the 16″ width is smaller than the 21″ width of regular wallpaper.By comparison, I had nothing but problems with the solid black contact paper by Smart Design [B01LW6X1S9]. It would not stick, scratched and tore very easily, and came with random dark spots in various areas. The two papers were advertised for different purposes, this one a wallpaper and the other a shelf liner, but that could not account for how poorly the solid paper worked. I’ve used shelf liner contact paper before with none of the problems I had it. This paper; however, worked far better than the good shelf liner contact papers I’ve ever used.I high recommend this silk embossed paper for any project. Although it’s stickiness makes it a bit harder to work with, its durability overcomes any accidentally stuck fingers, leaving a very beautiful end result.

Hard to get the bubbles out

I absolutely love the pattern. It went on pretty easy but there was on small bubble that I couldn’t get out. The instructions said to use a hairdryer or a heat gun to help fix that issue. I did and it seemed to create more bubbles. It’s been up for 3 days and I can’t get them out. Actually, they seem to be growing 😢If anyone has any suggestions, I’m all ears.

    Won’t stick

I have purchased the same brand of wallpaper with the same texture in black and love it. I purchased the white since I assumed it would be the same but not so much. I tried numerous times on different surfaces and it just wouldn’t work. I have no idea what is different between the 2 but white just wouldn’t stick. Hopefully I just got a bad roll and you all will fond more success than I did.

    The color is beautiful but….

The media could not be loaded.

I’ll admit I’ve never used wallpaper before and won’t again after trying this 😂It’s VERY thin and no room for manipulation. It’s a big pretty sticker-roll. So if you don’t have the right tools to smooth it on, you will be left with creases and bubbles in your wallpaper. I also noticed it’s not evenly cut! I’m doing an accent wall and as you can see, if you overlap, dark lines. I won’t use this product again. I order 3 of the largest rolls they have and still had to order a third one to complete the accent wall.

    A two person job!

Was really easy to put up and trim to size with an exacting knife. I would recommend having a friend help out though as sometimes I would place it crooked. Make sure to dust the areas really well otherwise it won’t stick as well!

    The relationship tester

It does a beautiful job transforming your space! But be warned it will test you and anyone that chooses to help you.The paper on the back of the wallpaper is difficult to remove. It rips and then you have to try to get it unstuck from the middle. Deep breaths, and finger nails will be your best friend. Those two things and a card or something to smooth it out as you go along should probably be the only things you get to help you do this. Any person that you get to help you, you will probably end up yelling at. Not because they did anything wrong, but because the process is incredibly frustrating.Thankfully, it’s textured, so imperfections are not super noticeable but still give a warning that no one should mention imperfections that they see.

    Looks nice

I got this to cover my old end table which wasn’t that easy but that’s because of the table style. The paper was easy to work with. Not sure how well it’s going to hold up on my table but I can tell this would be very nice and durable on walls. It was easy to peel off and restick whenever I made a mistake.

Good paper for my project, but not for all.

I am new to working with contact paper so I did a ton of research on different papers, how much I would need, and any problems people had with it. I am leaving these details for anyone else trying to do the research or thinking of using this paper so you can make a more informed decision. I bought these bookcases on an online auction for REALLY cheap without seeing them in person. You can see the quality by looking at the sliding doors that went with the bookcases. There are some cosmetic issues and the whole reason I even decided to do contact paper was because a 1/4″ opening was between the 2 slabs on the back. I wanted to add some paper on the shelves because, not only was there some water damage to the wood (bulge on bottom shelf), but one of the shelves were screwed in upside down so the unprotected area was on top. I am using these bookcases in my kitchen (it is a work in progress) so I would like to be prepared for any accidents. I actually really enjoyed this paper, but I would definitely say it’s not for every project. I was able to just lay it willy nilly across the shelves and just cut off what I needed. I did have a few problems with the paper tearing while I was peeling it away from the other paper. It was about the same experience as when you turn a page in a book and it rips, and then continues to rip like a roll of masking tape. However, I didn’t have a problem with the rips showing up. The picture with the red oval shows the biggest rip I had, and actually the only one I could find. I did have some problems with it ripping while I tried to fold the paper over the side and I have a picture showing the worst one. The biggest issue I believe is the adhesive. It will work fine for me because it will lay flat with objects on top of it. I assume vertical may not be ideal unless you add some adhesion. Now, the bottom of the shelves are very coarse (also a picture of that) so I did not expect that to stick well. I am able to use masking tape to make sure it stays and no one over 3′ can see it anyways. I am trying to be careful with the paper and haven’t put much of anything on the shelves yet. It may not hurt to have an extra roll or 2 for the future if you are using it as a horizontal cover. I would also recommend buying everything at the same time because sometimes (in paper/cloth) a batch may dye differently.

    Works Great

This stuff works great. I use it not to cover a full wall, but when I want to put something up on the wall (photos, white board, felt board, etc) that isn’t super heavy, I stick this to the wall in a square behind it and then stick whatever it is to the wallpaper. That allows me to remove it all later without putting any holes in my walls and I don’t have to buy the expensive removable adhesive, I can use any cheap two sided stick tape. The paper peels right off my walls without leaving any sticky residue and to date hasn’t damaged the walls.

The very easiest to apply and adjust, work with

I’ve gotten at least 10 different brands, types and designs of these and this roll is by far the very easiest to apply. If you need to change the angle a little due to the uneven surface you’re applying it to it’s as easy as pulling it in the direction you need and you can’t tell at all. It makes it look like it’s straight, pretty impressive. Even better, it doesn’t tear. To the point you have to cut it- like comparing this to the duct tape vs scotch tape. At the same time, it has a mild stretch and flexibility to it. I was able to do all the corners like you would when wrapping a gift. I went back around and clipped the very bottom edge that was extra, on the bottom layer just so it wasn’t thicker and after all that working with it, it all adhered just fine. This was over a year ago and it isn’t pulling up, bubbling or sticking out anywhere. You can’t really tell that it isn’t just the surface unless you look really close. The design is like it’s embossed or lifted and the material is almost smooth but rubbery on the surface so it doesn’t get scratches or Knicks either. I put it on the top of a fireplace heater that had a big water ring and burn mark that looks like someone laid a burning cigarette on, that didn’t want to sand out without going too far down and the grill& frame around the glass was black. It broke up the woodgrain and contrasted nicely. Since I put it in the basement until winter, then up to the main level and back and forth plus keep a basket full of house project items, it gets more wear and tear than it should but there’s no damage to this and I should add that I have slid the basket around more than a few times. It’s perfect for applying to pretty much any surface that needs covered or protecting. There’s no downtime, as soon as it’s applied and gone over with a plastic spatula incase of repositioning or air bubbles, you’re good to go.

    Great for small areas.

I read all the reviews and anticipated color differences between the rolls. I ordered double as many as I needed to be able to choose the same consistent shade. Upon opening the box, all 6 rolls were the same color, I even rolled out the ones I needed to make sure they are all the same shade and even took a photo. They were perfect besides the fact that it’s much darker than appears in photos, but still worked out for me just fine. (I do wish it was lighter!) I must say, I did not the perfect wall-crooked and also textured! It adhered just fine. The texture did come through a little but only a small portion of the wallpaper would be exposed-it was not a concern of mine to sand down the texture, nor do I have the time to do that. I do wish it had more adhesive, I had no trouble pulling it off multiple times and readjusting it to line up. I avoided touching the edges and corners. So far so good, right?I used this as an accent wall behind 2 mirrors in a med. sized bathroom. I calculated my strips to have only ONE seam showing. They lined up perfectly. Once I installed the wallpaper I noticed the color difference then. But not at every angle. Therefore, I truly believe that there is no color difference in the rolls, but a grain difference and how each strip reflects light. It it hard to avoid this problem with the nature of the shine that we all look for in this wallpaper. I think if I flipped one of the pieces “upside down”, the grain would reflect the same on both pieces. I was ready to pull it off, this was not ok. Then came up with an idea to adhere another strip to cover the seam. Might I say, it took 2 minutes to apply another piece on top of my seam- VERY EASY application. (Also my first time applying wallpaper). And viola! It fixed the problem for me. I would not do this on a large wall, but because so little is exposed-I accepted this as it looks nearly perfect. I am happy with my accent wall, I love the way it reflects light, I will not order this for a large wall, but for an area like this I will use again in a heartbeat.DISCLAIMER: I am waiting on another light to install (thank you amazon arrived damaged and is taking forever for the replacement) and having only one did not change anything as I took photos with, without light and multiple angles. The grain reflected different at most times but one angle, until I found a solution that worked for me.I used a plastic drywall smoothing spatula to help smooth out the paper but honestly my palms did a much better job because of the texture on my walls. An exacto knife and scissors to cut the length and then trim extra.I will update if there is any peeling at the edges, so far so good.

Not good for what I wanted to use it for

It was easy to use, looks beautiful and it holds up well. However, it doesn’t suit my purposes because vinyl won’t stick to it due to the texture

The Sticky Nightmare That Haunted My Walls

Picture this: you have a vision of transforming your dull, lifeless walls into a masterpiece. You stumble upon the Abyssaly Gold Beige Wallpaper, with promises of easy installation and a glamorous silk texture. Excitedly, you make your purchase, unaware of the hilarious and frustrating journey that awaits you.Installation Hell:As soon as I received the package, I was eager to embark on my DIY wallpaper adventure. Armed with a smooth surface and a hopeful heart, I began the installation process. Little did I know, the nightmare was just beginning. The so-called “peel and stick” feature turned out to be more “peel and panic.” The backing refused to separate from the wallpaper, causing my frustration levels to skyrocket. I ended up with sticky fingers, sticky walls, and a sticky mess. It felt like wrestling with an octopus covered in super glue!Measurements Gone Awry:After successfully detangling myself from the adhesive mess, I thought the worst was behind me. Oh, how wrong I was! The dimensions of the Abyssaly Gold Beige Wallpaper seemed to have a mind of their own. At 15.7 inches wide, I assumed it would fit my walls perfectly. Alas, the wallpaper had other plans. It fell short by a few inches, leaving me with unsightly gaps along the edges. I was left with a patchwork of half-covered walls that resembled a bizarre art installation gone wrong. The Great Air Bubble Invasion:As I battled with mismatched sizes, another enemy crept into the scene: air bubbles. No matter how meticulously I smoothed the wallpaper, those pesky air bubbles appeared as if out of thin air. It was like playing a game of Whac-A-Mole. I would flatten one bubble, only to discover two more mocking me nearby. The experience was both frustrating and comical. I even named the bubbles to make light of the situation, as if they were my mischievous wallpaper companions. The Struggle for Removal:By this point, my dream of an elegant wall transformation had turned into a comedy of errors. But the ultimate punchline came when I attempted to remove the Abyssaly Gold Beige Wallpaper. The promise of “removable” wallpaper became a cruel joke. It clung to my walls with a tenacity that could rival a barnacle on a ship. I tried every technique known to humanity: steam, heat, and even a prayer or two. Yet, the wallpaper refused to budge. I was stuck in a never-ending battle with a sticky adversary.Customer Service to the Rescue:Amidst my despair, I decided to reach out to customer service in a final attempt to salvage my wallpaper fiasco. To my surprise, they were responsive and genuinely sympathetic to my predicament. They offered troubleshooting suggestions and even provided a refund for the faulty product. While the Abyssaly Gold Beige Wallpaper may have let me down, the customer service team proved to be a shining star in this otherwise comedic saga.Lessons Learned:Reflecting on my experience, I’ve gleaned a few valuable lessons that I hope can spare others from a similar misadventure. Firstly, always read customer reviews before making a purchase. Had I done so, I would have been forewarned about the challenges I would face. Additionally, take accurate measurements of your walls to avoid the headache of ill-fitting wallpaper. Lastly, consider seeking professional help or consulting a knowledgeable friend before diving headfirst into a DIY project that may end up being more comical than successful. The Silver Lining:Despite the frustration and moments of despair, I can’t deny that this entire experience provided some unexpected entertainment. The absurdity of wrestling with sticky wallpaper, battling air bubbles, and attempting to remove an immovable force left me with countless amusing anecdotes to share with friends and family. It became a running joke that transformed my failed DIY project into a memorable comedy of errors. In Hindsight:As I glance at my walls, still adorned with the remnants of the Abyssaly Gold Beige Wallpaper, I can’t help but chuckle. It serves as a reminder of the perseverance, creativity, and resilience required when things don’t go as planned. It’s a reminder that even in the face of sticky situations, we can find humor and valuable life lessons. Conclusion:In the end, my experience with the Abyssaly Gold Beige Wallpaper was nothing short of a comedy of errors. From the frustrating installation process to the laughable dimensions and the air bubbles that seemed to multiply like rabbits, this wallpaper turned my dream into a sticky nightmare. The “removable” claim was a cruel jest, as my walls are forever adorned with a reminder of my failed DIY attempt. If you’re seeking an adventure and a good laugh, go ahead and try the Abyssaly Gold Beige Wallpaper. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you!

    Love this wallpaper!!!!

I loved how easy it is to apply and how beautiful the pattern/finish is when done. However, it is a bit thinner than expected and tore off in my hand when I tried to razor the round corners to fit. Not sure how well it will last long term, but I only spent a half hour applying it so should I need to do it again it’s not a problem.

It’s great and easy to use!

I love that it doesn’t have a pattern! It went so much faster than painting and if I don’t like it anymore I can peel it off. The bubbling mentioned in other reviews only happens if your application is bad. Watch dinner YouTube videos first.

    Easier than expected

This is my 3rd peel and stick project and so far, my favorite. The product was easy to work with and very forgiving. I applied and removed multiple panels during application to readjust and it did not affect to stickiness of the product. It also did not leave residue on my walls or lift the paint (I have lightly textured walls for context.)I’ve gotten so many compliments on this! Definitely recommend

    Worth it, just buy it!

Redid both of my bathrooms with using this wallpaper as accents walls, and it was so easy to use. If you miss up, you can easily take it off and line it back up again, and no worries if you see air bubbles , go get yourself a blow dry and put it on high and they disappear. So worth the money!

    One good, one bad

I ordered two rolls. The first roll was great, it went up smoothly with a little hiccup here or there, mostly because it’s my first time doing this. The second roll is barely sticking to the wall, and it had weird greasy looking spots and little red dots in random places. I’m a little disappointed, honestly.

    Not a fan

We’ve done peel and stick wallpaper before and we struggled with this one. I love the design and it has a nice texture to it. The problem was that there was so much bubbling and wrinkles in the paper when we unraveled it. It’s easy to adhere to the wal and move around if you needed to adjust it, but the bubbles and creases were too much to deal with. I guess you get what you pay for. Decided to return at the end.

Pros outweigh the cons overall loving it!

Can be a little challenging to put on so start in a section behind furniture until you are good at it. The great thing is it’s very thin so you can overlap or add a small scrap piece and don’t even notice! No need for wallpaper paste- it sticks. Sometimes you get wrinkles. I recommend keeping it as flush to the wall as possible, pull out only a few inches of backing at a time, and smooth as you go. It does kind of look like paint because it is so thin but the lines are obviously cleaner than a painted line would be. I think this might have been easier to work with if I didn’t get the tallest 36″ stuff, especially now that I know it can overlap so well.

I rent, and I smoke cigarettes.

The landlady said if I smoked in the house, I’d have to repaint it when I move out. So, instead, I’m putting this up.I love how it looks! Every damn rental is stark white, and I HATE that. This is easy to install, looks great, and it will be easy to remove when I move out, and it will protect my walls from cigarette smoke. I’ve had it up for a couple weeks now, and it looks terrific. No complaints.A roll doesn’t cover very much.I’m gonna need four rolls of it just to finish the living room. So…that adds up pretty quick.I’m gonna need two rolls just to finish one wall. But I’m just going to buy a couple of them each month, until I get the whole house finished.Pro tip:On my next wall, I’m gonna go across the top of the wall, and then go up and down, and tuck the vertical rows, under the top row. That way, it will be perfectly straight at the top of the wall, without having to use a razor to make corrections.

    No pega bien.

The media could not be loaded.

Gracias y disculpen.

Great look and potential but …

I’ve ordered multiple different size rolls for a project. Most were damaged in some type of way. Two rolls arrived damp. One had a large tear. And a couple had dried up adhesive in some spots causing a wrinkly bubble look that destroyed the whole piece once applied. All and all it looks nice but not worth the money if you keep running into problems . Especially for the price.

    Worth it.

I want to cut down on the sun down her in the south. It’s just rediculous and the HOA won’t plant trees. Treese are good.Anyways I’ve looked at a ton of options all expensive and would probably get me yelled at by the HOA and came up with the huge pink panels of insulation that you can get from the home improvement store. 50 bucks and this.I did need more paper, but worth it.It’s smelly and close up you feel like you’re in a Chinese restaurant from 1950. On the other hand I can’t see any pink though the paper and it may replace my curtains completely because the two panels are completely light weight and the paper looks great for what it is.I’ll probably use it to block my fire place as well.

Totally changed and saved my room

This is one of the best products I have found in years! I have lived in my house for 32+ years. Besides painting the room 25 years ago my laundry/Utility room nothing has been done to it. It had whole all over it. Anything from nail holes to large ones because of the large ones made from anchors and large ones are over half a dollar in size. I patched large ones. Sanded rouge spots and put up this beautiful paper. It is so thick it covered up the “holey” walls. That and the transformation because of the beautiful White walls. Absolutely love the color and design.Tips on installing it: To find starts do it in corners or separation of what I assume people saying wrinkles (The space of bubbles in rolls so paper will not tear from wallpaper to backing.) It comes out straight & flat on walls. I used a large wallpaper smoother to apply and did a great job. Much better than small ones or credit cards. Love the peel and stick. Forgiving as I had to reposition it several times. Glad I sanded spots as they would show through bumping areas. Saved me from having to tear down the walls and put up new drywall. So glad to have found this!
