Comfortable mattress!
Put this mattress in our camper and slept on it for 4 nights. I am very picky with my mattresses and dont like mattresses that are too firm but my body wont handle a soft mattress well either. The price was decent and shipping was fast. I didn’t notice any odors when I unwrapped. Looking forward to camping more often now!

It’s the perfect combination of softness that you’ll sink right in, but also firm enough that your back won’t hurt. I purchased a king size. It was a little difficult to get out of the box, but easy to maneuver after that. I would 100% buy again!Just make sure this mattress actually fits into your bedframe (I didn’t) 🤣

Excellent Purchase
I recently bought my mother a memory foam mattress. Went from store to store until finally finding the one she wanted. This mattress is 1/4 of the price and feels exactly the same as the one I purchased for her. You do need to let it reach its full size which will take 2-3 days. I love it because it is FIRM but comfortable. My back already feels much better after a few days. For the price / firmness / comfort I give it 5 stars

Just as comfortable as our 5k king mattress.
We bought this for a trundle bed mattress based on the price. Just over $100 for a bed that will be used maybe 5 or 6 times a year. When it arrived it was well packaged and clean. Once we opened the bag it started to expand. After 24 hours I checked on it and it had reached its normal size and was soft without being to squishy. My daughter loves this thing so much she wants us to get another one as her main mattress. The 6” thick mattress works great for the trundle but I would probably get a thicker one if you have the room. Overall great mattress for the money!

Best bed for us curvy girls!
This is my second Zinius mattress. I moved to a different state and had to get rid of my first mattress-I gave it to a friend in need-she loves it as much as I do. I have severe pain issues. I can lay on my side on this mattress, my favorite way to sleep and feel no hard pressure points. I am super happy with this Zinius mattress. I highly recommend it The price is great, too!!!

Very comfortable
After having an older mattress (15 years) I decided to get a new mattress. The first night I was hesitant only because I have never had a new mattress before but after the second night I have been sleeping so much better. It sinks into and makes you fall asleep quick. I have chronic pain and it has helped me get more hours asleep at night. I highly recommend this mattress.

TOO HARD!!! BUY ZINUS SPA SERENITY @ Walmart instead!!
I have purchased 10!!!! Over the last years – for a variety of situations – and in a variety of sizes the Zinus Spa Serenity 8’ mattress at Walmart – including after a horrendous back issue and pelvic surgery when i realized my 2000$ mattress was part of my poor back’ problems ( this mattress helped me heal !!) – I’ve bought it in various sizes – used one for ‘car’ camping in Escalade – my daughter and son got for their rooms – I have even given as a gift ! Etc Etc – I had back issues for YEARS I am honestly sort of a mattress expert for people with back issues – we had to move unexpectedly due to hazard issues at home so had to move to apartment quickly and close by and couldn’t move ( and didn’t want to) everything out of house – So I decided I wasn’t moving my Aireloom or Winkbeds ( the only other 2 mattress I love or would by with the Spa Serenity by Zinus at Walmart) I was just buying 3 beds ( cost was and is an issue to due to nature of move ) – old me wanted a bit thicker mattress – so when I saw this on Amazon on sale I was SO excited to snap it up !!! It seemed like the spa serenity but BETTER !! It also said firmness was MEDIUM the same thing the Spa Serenity Zinus so I was HAPPY!! Well —- sadly this mattress is HORRIBLE ITS LIKE A ROCK – I went and bought a 2’ mattress topper for it thinking it would soften it enough t NOPE – well there went money saved – I have been kicking myself AND trying to get a refund ( no response from ZINUS 🙁 ) I slept on it for 2 weeks thinking I must be crazy it’s same but better mattress !!! But I woke up often during night with hip pain shoulder paint etc due to harness of ‘bed’ . I am 140 lbs 5’7’ and all of my wight is mostly in hips when sleeping – top and legs are very light weight – so for back issues it was hard to find a mattress that worked to be supportive enough where I needed it yet soft enough for my ‘light’ areas . My son who’s had other bed before and has currently been using a Winkbed ( excellent beds if. You have the $) and he told me today its too hard and nothing like the Walmart Zinus !! You see I needed 3 beds for apartment – bought 2 singles at Walmart of Spa Serenity Zinus. He is about 190 lbs 5’9’ – my daughter tried it out and she has been sleeping on SS Zinus from Walmart for 5 years ! Even got one for her dorm – she slept on it one night and said it hurt she wanted her own bed ! She is about my size . So maybe if you are a much heavier person this might work for you – over 250 lbs – or if you prefer sleeping on a slab of plywood – this might work . I am REALLY hoping ZInus or Amazon will allow me to return so I can purchase the great mattress they make – I’ve taken to sleepin on floor on an old ‘for visitors’ SS Zinus we had . :(. They should at least. Indicate how hard the firmness level is it is DEF. NOT the same firmness as the SS version.

Wonderful and best sleep ever!
I bought this to replace an awful mattress for the guest bedroom! I slept in it after I purchased it so I could review it. It was so nice and not lumpy like the old one. After a week of the I had guests. My guest was very pleased with the mattress. They stated they had the best sleep ever! I would buy it again.

Great Quality & Price!!
Nice mattress offering great support for back. I sit up in my bed a lot so it’s nice to not sink down when doing so. Was planning to purchase one for my elderly parents, however its a challenge climbing into and somewhat of a work out. Hopefully, will not be the case after a few more weeks as prefer to go to gym….lol! It’s a firm mattress, decent quality and cannot beat the price.

Pretty comfortable
Purchased this mattress and wasn’t sure of it at first. It takes time to expand, which is fine. It does sink in a little if you just have boards holding it up instead of a box spring. But it has been perfect for my toddler!

Great mattress
It is on the firmer side but in a good way. My body seems to ease into this mattress but not too sunken in leaving you feeling hot and constricted. I sleep very well on this and seem more relaxed and limber. Upon unpacking and setting up, no chemical smell whatsoever. I slept on it the first night as it said to give it 3 days to expand and still enjoy it. After each day, I felt it getting softer. Seems to be for the most part even across, slightly thicker in center but no bother. I crawl on it every day every now and then to evenly distribute it.

From a king sleep number to this queen mattress
My husband is a big guy 6’5” and 330. I was worried that the mattress wouldn’t support his weight and that he would feel the bars from our bed frame, but that is not the case. He and I both sleep comfortably on this mattress.

Very Comfortable and Great Price
The mattress is very comfortable and soft, the memory foam works great. The package was very small and it expanded to full size within 2 days. Fast shipping and the best mattress at this price point. Too soft
The mattress overall is nice, but in my opinion it’s too soft. It took a while to get used to it because my body sinks in to the mattress when I’m laying on it. (I’m 140 lbs). I just lay on one side for a little bit & then roll to the other side when it sinks in. If I could go back, I would buy a more firm mattress.

Soft with just the right amount of firmness. Helps if you have back pain
Queen size and Twin size both purchased. I ordered this based on reviews. I ordered a twins size first to have as an extra bed when family visited. I have Sciatica (low back pain). When the twin bed arrived I tried it because I also needed a new mattress for my queen bed. It was great. It was soft but yet still firm and you didn’t sink down in it. I had no pain sleeping on it. I have since bought this queen one. Very pleased. The 12 inch is actually 11 inches and I saw in the reviews that it was often an inch off, which is why I ordered the 12 inch. There was zero smell and it inflated in 24 hours. I sleep both on my back and my side. Felt great in both positions.

Definitely recommended, but not for hot sleepers..
I purchased the 12” king fiberglass free Zinus Cooling Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress. I have slept on this bed for the last two weeks straight now. I gave it about 5 days to inflate while getting a mattress protector before sleeping on it. I did notice that it did not fully expand to the 12”, it is right at 11”, which isn’t a huge deal breaker for me, but sucks to pay extra for more inches you don’t get. Also, noticed the top end of the mattress, the foam seems to look uneven compared to the bottom part, but again, not a deal breaker. So, as far as comfort, it’s great – comfortable, good support, and I love that it doesn’t transfer motion! The only thing I am grappling with currently is the fact that sometimes I sweat since using it. I am not a hot sleeper and have never sweat hardly in my sleep, so this is not ideal. I assume it is because of the memory foam and sinking into it at night. I have been adjusting my thermostat and having lighter layers on the bed to see if that helps because I’d hate to return it but cannot get a good nights sleep waking up in sweat. I have decided to wait a little bit before returning. I will do an update later on whether or not I was able to make it work.

My 9-year-old son doesn’t like change but absolutely needed a new mattress. For the price and ease of delivery, this was definitely it. It took a couple days to really fill out to its full potential, especially at the corners. It didn’t need to off gas (which was amazing and surprising), but he does think it’s a bit firm considering the mattress we switched from was really soft. I told him he had to break it in and after a small protest, he seems fine with it. He’s sensory and doesn’t like to be hot when sleeping so this has helped him “chill” a little. I’ve paired it with a cooling pillow, and that worked for him. Considering he will formally protest if he really doesn’t like something, he seems to be just fine with this mattress but if we ever need another, I’ll be looking at less firm options.

The firmest memory foam mattress I’ve ever felt
I love firm mattresses and over the years I never found one that was firm enough for my liking. Welp, this is it. This is hands down the firmest mattress I have EVER felt. I don’t mind it but I could see how other people could hate it. You can’t plop down on it or jump into the bed because it is that hard. Obviously, as you lay in it after a while it softens up…but not by much. Again, I love firm mattresses but if I could have bought one slightly more plush, I think it would be a perfect mattress for me.

This mattress is very firm.
This mattress is well made and very firm. I wanted a firm mattress, but this is a little more than what I expected. I will be getting a mattress topper.I picked a specific date for it to arrive due to a recent shoulder surgery and having to arrange a time/day for someone to be here to bring it inside and set it up. It arrived a week earlier than I scheduled. Any other time in life, earlier wouldnt be a big deal, but this time I was specific on the date and it arriving earlier was super inconvenient.Also, there’s a huge stain on it that was there fresh out the plastic. I dont have the time or energy to return it, but this is disappointing.

SERIOUS!! Fiberglass warning!

We bought this mattress Dec 2017, had no other problems except it was kinda uncomfortable from the beginning. The morning after the first night i slept on it, it had a permanent body impression. You also feel like you’re sliding down a hill to the middle of bed when two people are sleeping on it. So yes, i have been putting up with this mattress for years. Then spring of 2022 i was so uncomfortable from the saggy mattress that i flipped it over and put my sheet on the backside. Since my body was hurting from the sagginess, the hard firm backside was amazing for a few days. So after i put the sheet on i started noticing shinny things on it. I didn’t think anything of it. i thought it was elastic breaking down in my sheet..lol but there was no elastic in it. I completely brushed it off, didn’t think anything of it. My kids start to complain of itching and break out with rashes and eczema. They had eczema as babies so i thought oh great its back but that’s not normal for them to both have it after not having it for years. I have never had eczema but recently discovered it on my fingers and elbow. I’ve also started having eye irritations and eye twitching. Back to the story, after about a week i flip the mattress back over to the front. My youngest spills her milk on it so i took the cover off, you know because there’s a zipper and thought it was washable. In the meantime i put a sheet over it and go to bed without the cover. From the time i took the cover off to wash it, it was already to late and had no idea. The cover was kind of a pain to get off so i wasn’t in a hurry to put it back on. A few days go by and i have already folded lots of laundry on my bed and all put away. Then i decide to put the cover back on and later on we’re watching a movie on my bed and i got a flashlight out to find something in the dark. I notice shinny things all over my kids blankets and clothes! Then noticed my bed is absolutely covered in it. Did some research and found out my bed came with fiberglass in it. Fiberglass in my closet, all over my clothes i hung up. Fiberglass on every single blanket in my house. Fiberglass on my couch and rugs. Fiber glass was on my curtains and the box spring. We threw away every piece of clothing and rugs in my house. Threw the mattress away and all of our curtains in our room. It was in the air a long time before we ever noticed it. I put winter clothes away in a bag in Feb and the clothes were covered. Fiberglass was coming out of it before i ever flipped the mattress or took the cover off. It was in every nook and cranny in my house. Our home we bulit is 5000 sq ft. So we bought a couple outfits before we threw everything away and made a safe space in the garage for clean clothes. We contacted lawyers already working on the case and we’re told to take pics of everything. Its really hard to take a pic of the glass even with a flashlight. So the best thing to do is take a video while moving the light around. I’ve taken so many videos and just start to cry. It has been so hard cleaning it, i just wanted to demolish it and rebuild( it has taken a toll on my mental health). Also, we have been so careful not to contaminate our new clothes and blankets but they ended up still getting glass on them. We bought many tape rollers, you can get in pet section at Menards. We have a head lamp that has helped tremendously! Don’t vacuum the floor right away just use the the roller because the vacuum will blow it in the air and that can be frustrating after you’ve already cleaned dresser 5 times before. A handheld cordless vacuum has helped a lot but wont pick up the tiny fibers. I sprayed water on a paper towel to get the tiny fibers. I had to get ladder to clean the fan and crown molding window trim. We bought a huge plastic cover from amazon for the box spring. So there’s still glass on it but its concealed in the bag until we buy a new one. We took the dresser drawers out and vacuumed on the inside. I cleaned the dresser completely before i thought about doing that but I’m glad i did because the inside was completely covered with glass! I really am going to have to clean every sq of the house! It’s been almost a month and I’m just now confident my room is finally clean. I’ll find a few here and there but use the tape to pick it up. My kids rooms did have glass but not as bad as mine. All of their clothes in the drawers and hanging up had to be thrown away. We have thrown away thousands of dollars in material things, I know they can be replaced but somethings have memories and are special. I had to throw away hand made baby clothes my deceased Aunt made my daughter(those things cannot be replaced.) Ive also started having heart pains because of the stress from it all. From the time i wake up till i go to bed is so stressful. How long is it going to take before its completely out of our lives? I use to complain of folding laundry and now it really sucks because i have to do it with a headlamp and tape. Since i have found out about the glass, my eye has slowly started to improve with the twitching, probably bc I’m not laying my face in it anymore. My kids aren’t itching anymore but i still do have eczema. Hope this helps someone and if i could go back, i would have thrown it away before ever opening it.

A little more firm than I expected
We have had this bed for a couple mths now I think and we are still breaking it in. It is a lot more firm than we expected based on other reviews so after 1 night we had to get a memory foam topper to help with back pain. But overall with the topper the bed is fine. Unsure if I would purchase again or spend the extra money on a pillow top bed

LET RISE FOR 3 days!!
Let me start by saying this is very comfy. HOWEVER, I laid on this after about 6 hours out of the box and it was so uncomfortable. Gave it another night, same thing. I was about to return it when on the third night it was MUCH more firm than the previous nights. Yeah, the package says it can take 72 hrs to fulling rise but obviously I don’t listen. If you listen you won’t have the problem I did but if you’re like me.. give it a few days LOLRating it 4 stars because I don’t believe really anything is 5 stars haha

Medium firm
I’ve had this bed for almost a year now and it’s seriously the most comfortable mattress I have ever had. I can’t believe all I needed to do was buy a 200 dollar mattress on Amazon. I thought it would be a fail but I was tired of buying 1500 dollar mattresses for them to just be terrible. This bed is perfect for people that are looking for medium firm. If you think this bed is going to be too soft or too hard… it’s not. I think it’s the perfect balance.

Amazing mattress
This mattress is excellent. I sleep so good now. No regrets except for I bought the wrong size. Plan on buying a queen size mattress. So comfortable. Expands very nicely. Definitely buying a queen when I get the money. Never tried one until now. Best ever mattress that I have owned. I Definitely recommend this company and product. 4 years and it’s like it’s still brand new!
I bought this bed 4 YEARS AGO and I’ve never flipped or rotated it and it still has NO INDENTS, still very firm and supportive but also curves to my body just the way I like it to, and it still stays cool!It’s been so easy to keep clean as nothing tips over and spills on it, no odors collect within it, and I can just use a spot cleaner for anything that possibly happens to it because it is so dense that it doesn’t immediately absorb anything!This was the first BRAND new mattress I’ve ever purchased or even slept on and it’s still one of my all time favorite things that I own and my #1 thing to brag about! 10/10 would (and plan to) buy again!!!

I got this for my parents who are in their 50’s because they have been complaining about their old mattress sagging and being very uncomfortable. Pure Bliss
This is our 3rd Zinus mattress purchase. 1st was for our daughter for her first big girl bed. 2nd was for my MIL when she moved in with us. We finally ordered one for ourselves and it arrived today! OH MY GOSH! I have arthritis along with a plethora of other medical issues so I’m often stuck in bed. Probably why our last mattress only lasted 8 years.We have an adjustable bed base, and while we purchased our last mattress and adjustable base together in person, the mattress was just WAY TOO thick.I noticed that after our daughter got her big girl bed (5 years ago) that hubs and I were fighting over who would lay with her in her bed because her mattress was more conformable than ours. Even now, after 5 years her mattress is still amazing.But seriously, I crawled into bed, new mattress, clean sheets, after a relaxing shower and I just melted! This is the most comfortable mattress ever!

Very comfortable
This is our second mattress from this brand. We already have a hybrid one and now we got the memory foam. So comfortable, firm enough and with the right amount of soft together.It took around 24h to get to the right shape after we took it out of the box and it has almost no smell. Totally worth it specially for the price.

I bought this on special pricing and it was a good deal. We needed an additional mattress for a bed frame we made over the holidays for guests. It worked well. My mother and guests were happy with it. It was packaged well and no damage in our mattress.

VERY satisfied and saved HUNDREDS (maybe thousands).
The mattress ended up being about what we had expected. More firm than a traditional spring mattress, but softer than others we have either slept on or tested out in a store. We, like most, were tempted in spending much more money from either a store or a bigger name brand online, but overall are very satisfied with our purchase. We also purchased the normal Zinus frame, which went together easily and has been doing a good job for us so far.Packaging. It was easier than expected and the box wasn’t as heavy as I thought it would be. It was easy enough to open, get the mattress out (that was nicely packed) and into our bedroom for opening. At some point during the process, we must have torn a small hole in the plastic bag and we could hear air starting to get in. Thankfully, we were able to get the mattress on the frame and the plastic off before too much expansion happened.Set up/Expansion. We slept on the mattress the first night we set it up after about 6-7 hours of expansion. We felt like it was around 11″, so we wanted to try it out. After sleeping on it over this past week, it has grown to 12″ all the way around. We slid some cardboard (from the shipping box) under the mattress and on the frame to prevent the foam from leaking through the slots. It’s worked great so far!Smell. I hesitate to actually say this, but my wife swore for the first couple of days it smelled like Peanut M&M’s. She has a weird sense of smell, but it did have a smell, although not bad or overpowering at all. After a week we don’t notice anything at all.Firmness. We decided with this mattress in particular because it was supposed to be softer than others. We’re glad we got this one, because it is still more firm than we are used to. After a few adjustments to how we sleep, we both find the bed very comfortable and it is great.Movement/Support. Although we haven’t tried the wine glass test shown on older commercials, we have tested seeing if we can tell if the other is getting in or out of bed. For the most part, we can’t tell. Like almost all foam mattresses, if you are too close to the sides, you will find there isn’t a lot of support. I sleep pretty close to the sides and haven’t had any issues.Overall impression. I am VERY satisfied with our purchase. Not only did we save HUNDREDS (if not thousands) of dollars, it was delivered quickly and easily. We haven’t had to deal with customer support, but hopefully between Amazon and Zinus we could resolve any issues if they were to come up.

Comfortable and affordable
I opened the box within 3 days of receiving the package (recommended to open within 72 hours), and these pictures just 4 hours after opening. It looks great and super comfortable. Definitely recommended. Just as described!

Want a good nights sleep then I highly recommend this mattress! We knew we loved the 8 inch Zinus we bought for our camper a few years back so decided we wanted another one for our home. We got the 12 in. and it is very comfortable and of great quality. Highly recommend!

Cheap is the benefit
As always we are faced with the choice of a bed..now there are dozens and then more. Now we have hybrids. Stop it. This cheap bed does the job. First week a little hard. Second week much better. A month later no complaints. No smell, nothing fancy. Works great.

I am amazed!
I searched for quite a while and read a lot of reviews before deciding to buy this bed for our camper. I am amazed at how comfortable this bed is! It is more comfortable than my very expensive temperpedic mattress. I only got an 8 inch and was concerned it might not be firm enough, but it is plenty firm yet still plush. Best money spent in a long time!

Quality Sleep
Purchased the 10″ thick one. I’ve had this mattress for over a year now and I love it as much now as I did on my first night of sleeping on it. I’m a blue-collar type worker who spends the entire day on my feet, so a quality mattress is important. It’s firm on the outside while soft and gooey on the inside. You sort of sink an inch or two into sweet sleep. Super easy set-up. Literally just open the box then the bag and lay your mattress out. Within a day you’ve got a great mattress.

Great Mattress; Always going bigger
The mattress has been great for my son that is in high school. He weighs less than 150 so keep the size of the person using the mattress in mind. I would also recommend leaning toward a thicker mattress. This is perfect, but I cannot say that it actually expanded to 8 inches even after 72 hours of laying flat and not being used.

Medium firm bed that (I thought) was well worth the investment
The bed was delivered surprisingly quick. I do have prime but the estimated delivery date stated it could have been delivered anywhere from the 6th to the 14th, which is a wide span of time. It was indeed delivered two days after ordering on the 6th. It came in a tall box WITH the Zinus logo and word Twin on it, so people will know what it is. In case that is a deal breaker for you, it basically does not come in a more anonymous package. The box was a bit heavy, so even for a Twin, it’s not a bad first impression since the better memory foam is a lot heavier than the cheaper “memory foam” which is really just the crappy foam you can buy at any store for thirty dollars. The bed is rolled up like a dingdong snack cake and wrapped well in plastic. VERY well wrapped, actually. So, you won’t have to worry about anything possibly getting into the bed. No bedbugs or dirt found in mine at all, just to let you know. The plastic was not super strong – just the typical plastic smell. I unwrapped it while rolling it out and cut one end of the plastic open. Right when the air could access the bed, it was already starting to inflate a few inches more than the pancake it once was. Once all of the plastic was pulled off (I guess you can just rip it off easier on the sides rather than cutting off an end like I did), the bed itself inflated to 7 inches (as shown in the image) within 30 seconds for me. I say FOR ME since I live in a hot, dry state, so it is possible that if your temperature is colder, it may take a bit longer. As you might know, things tend to expand easier in heat and contract in cold. With that said, the bed got to its full 8 inches for me within the first hour. Pictured is when the bed hit its 7 inches within 30 seconds after unwrapping it.I will say that the very ends (head and foot) of the bed are sloped a bit – especially the side that was facing the outside “roll” when the bed was still in its dingdong shape. That is typical of these types of bed-in-a-box beds, from my experience, since one end is inevitably going to be exposed to the side of the box pressing against it for however many months it is sitting in the warehouse… so basically, do not expect a perfectly even bed when ordering a bed in a box. The very end part may or may not remain sloped like that (rendering it to maybe 7 inches rather than 8) long term, so if that bothers you, then a bed in a box with boxsprings inside of it may better suit you over a mattress that is purely moldable materials like gel and memory foam.Not much of a chemical smell at all. I have a very smell sensitive nose and it is just a very light factory/plastic smell to me, not super overwhelming like past beds I’ve ordered before (two from different brands). This bed states on the side of the box that it is made in Indonesia, so perhaps they use less chemicals than Chinese made beds or maybe they just aren’t as harsh? I mean I just bought a new pillow from a Target brick and mortar store (the cooling one) and IT has a much stronger chemical smell than this bed.I slept on the bed one night before completing this review, so that it could be more in depth. I cannot speak for its long term quality, but so far, it seems pretty nice for a bed that is around $100 or under. It is squishy, yet firm. Your body will sink a bit into the gel and will be held up by the more firm memory foam underneath. I am around 140 lbs, so I do not sink as much as someone who is much larger than myself would sink. Again, from what I’ve heard from other people who are larger, they tend to enjoy beds with springs or coils inside of the bed that will offer them that added support. Even though this mattress is pretty perfect for my size, it may be different for others. Overall I would say that this bed is medium firm in my own opinion. There is no bounce back and no squeaky noises to worry about with this bed. I got it in hopes of it being cool, since I do live in a dry, hot place. If you live somewhere similar, this may be a good fit for you! Have you ever had one of those gel seats for your bike? Now imagine a body sized version of that. That’s the kind of “squishy” I am talking about. It is not fluffy or plushy, but it is durable for myself. So far it has held its shape and returns to being flat after I sleep on it, so I suppose I’ll see over time if it retains that ability. I slept well, though for what sleep I have lost it is not the mattresses fault but rather the fault of noisy neighbors. 🙂 A big reason that I got this is due to it having charcoal and green tea infused into it, which supposedly helps to prevent mold should you spill something on it.As a side note, the box also included a letter from the company thanking you for your purchase. A nice bonus is that they also provide you with three “thank you” cards that you can fill out and give to people, so that’s neat. In the envelope is also a Certificate of Conformity, which details all of the safety standards, etc. that it has passed. Not a lot of cheaper mattress companies do this, so it’s great to see that it really is up to par with a good quality standard. It does state on it that the mattress was “tested” in China and has other information that may be helpful for people who are interested in the origin of their purchase.Also comes with a removable cover, which seems to be strapped to the bottom with velcro.Both pictures are from RIGHT after opening the bed from the box. As you can see, the bed was already 7 to 7 1/2 inches in no time.Update: I changed my mind after sleeping on it for over a week. I have a bad lower back and despite being pretty light in weight compared to some, this bed provides no lower back support which causes me to wake up achy. Which I do not like. So it is too firm in some places but not supporting enough where the most weight is distributed.

Very comfortable and no noticable out-gassing
Got this to replace a hard futon mattress. What a huge difference! I can actually get a good nights sleep now!From reading other reviews, I believe we can still fold up the futon, but haven’t tried yet. But the futon is used more for a bed than couch anyway, so that point may be moot.

Excellent Mattress – Can’t Beat the Price!
Update: 3 years later, I still love this mattress. It’s held up, is supportive and comfortable and never sleeps hot. It’s been a very good buy for me. It’s a very good inexpensive mattress that has proven to be a great value.I replaced a 20+ year old Sleep Number mattress with this mattress. I’ve had it over a week now and love it. The mattress is medium firm, which I like. The top layer of gel-infused foam provides a bit of sink in comfort, but not to the extent that it’s hard to move or change positions. Mine expanded to a full 12″ within 2-3 hours of putting it on my bed (I kept the Sleep Number foundation on the bed under this mattress). I don’t wake up with back or shoulder pain at all. My old Sleep Number mattress was giving me both. To give you an idea of the give in the top layer, I have attached a couple of pics of my dogs on the mattress. I will say, they LOVE the new mattress and I have a hard time getting my Pittie (Black & White pup) to get off of it. The Rottie/Shepherd weighs about 92 pounds and you can see, the mattress has a good amount of cushioning for joints and pressure points. It’s been a GREAT buy!I will check back in 3 months and a year so I can say how the mattress holds up over time. Can’t beat the price on this and I will be buying another one for my son soon.A month and a half later – STILL loving this mattress. It is still very comfortable. I sleep great. I don’t think it sleeps hot. I don’t wake up with back or shoulder pain. I bought a second one on Prime Day for my son. I don’t think you can go wrong with this mattress.Four months later – this mattress is still great! My Pittie races me up the stairs to the bedroom and jumps in the bed first. When I’m at work, she sleeps on the bed. I love it. It’s firm, yet comfy. I’m never hot and my room is the hottest room in the house during summer. I’ve recommended this mattress to all my friends and family. This has been an excellent value.14 months later – This mattress has held up well over time. It’s still firm yet with enough cushion to be very comfortable. It has continued to be an excellent value for the money paid. No backaches or shoulder pain after sleeping on it. Both my son’s and my mattress are in excellent condition. I continue to recommend this mattress.

Most comfortable mattress I’ve ever owned
I purchased the Zinus 8 Inch Gel-Infused Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress / Cooling Gel Foam / Pressure Relieving / CertiPUR-US Certified / Bed-in-a-Box, Queen size. It has three different layers of foam and is not a hybrid model. First is the 4.5″ high-density base support foam, next is the 1.5″ comfort foam, and on top is the 2″ gel-infused memory foam. This is the first foam mattress I’ve ever owned, and I’ll never go back to using the old box spring mattresses I’ve had all my life. The first night I slept on it with only a single sheet covering over the mattress and I was stunned by how nice and comfortable it feels compared to everything I’ve ever slept on before. The second day I installed the SafeRest Queen Size Premium Hypoallergenic Waterproof Mattress Protector, which is quite thin as it’s a mattress protector and not a mattress “pad.” I noticed no difference in how it feels in any way with this addition after using the bed all day and sleeping for 8 hours the second night. I believe it’s so comfortable because of how your body sinks down into the foam slightly which supports your mass more uniformly than other surfaces can. Don’t get me wrong about this, it’s still a quite firm mattress so it’s not like you sink way down into it. I wish there was some way I could better express just how much I love my new Zinus mattress!!! This is like sleeping on a cloud! I’ve read some negative reviews about people who’ve removed the cover that comes on the mattress to wash it or for whatever reason and then went nuts complaining about loose fiberglass fragments they encountered afterward. I believe the tiny amount of fiberglass material built into the cover is part of the fire-retardant material that makes up the cover. I also believe the warning the manufacturer gives about not removing the cover is their way of being over-cautious about the possibility of customers coming into contact with fiberglass fibers if they do so, and anyone who has removed the cover has NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES for any problems they encounter for failing to follow the manufacturers instructions. I haven’t removed the cover on mine but I did open the zipper about 12″ so that I could stick my bare forearm inside and rub it around to see for myself if there really was loose fiberglass fiber but I didn’t notice any indication of this at all. My recommendation if you ever feel the need to remove the cover to wash it or whatever is remove the cover, deflate the air out of it and then CLOSE the zipper (without turning it inside out) and then arrange it around the center post of your washing machine. This will ensure the inside and outside of the cover won’t come into contact with each other. Wash on a delicate setting, no bleach, then after removing it from the washing machine don’t put it in the dryer, just lay it out on the floor to dry before putting it back on. The first picture was taken just 5 minutes after removing the mattress from the box and it’s a full 7″. 36 hours later it had expanded to the full 8″ as can be seen in the second picture. After about 36 hours it was fully expanded and was very smooth and flat with square edges, and it looks almost perfect in every way. I have no idea how long this mattress might last, but after paying only $200 plus $18 in sales tax with free shipping it’s easy and cheap enough to replace. I’m still using my old bottom box frame but since the distance between the support slats is a full 6″ on my old base, I show in the third picture how I installed (with a few screws) some pieces of 1/4″ plywood to the top of it for better support for the foam mattress. I simply bought and installed 3 pieces of 1/4″ plywood at 24″ x 48″. I needed to cut the width of one piece for the foot end of the bed down 4″ so that the plywood would break over the supports slat of the old box base. If you choose to follow my example you may need to modify this to some extent depending on the spacing of the support slats of your base.

Best Mattress I’ve Ever Owned
I have never purchased a mattress online before. I am the type that needs to go to the store for an item like this and feel it out, but I honestly can say I am soo happy with my purchase. The delivery was fast the packaging was secure and nicely wrapped in the box, I ordered the Queen size, Medium firm Gel cooling memory foam, it is just as described comfortable and truly Medium firm so I’m not sinking but is still soft enough to feel like I’m laying on a cloud. I have had it for over Two months before doing this review, and it was worth every dollar spent. During the day I can’t wait until I get home to my bed lol. Also, throughout the night I can feel the lightly cooling effect that I need to stay comfortable & asleep. It was extremely easy to put up, no box spring needed because of the bedframe I have and this Queen size I ordered was a 12” so it is true measurement to its size and height. It completely expanded within a few hours the same day I put it Up. The price was amazing for a Queen size, and the mattress itself comes with a linen fabric mattress cover that’s already on when arrived that can be unzipped & removed and machine washed. I love the stability of the mattress even when someone gets in or out of bed they won’t disturb your side. I would say out of all the mattresses I’ve had this Green gel memory foam 12” Queen size Mattress is thee best one hands down. And I will definitely be purchasing for my family members.

Took less than a day to fully expand. Amazing, truly amazing sleep. It’s not too firm but definitely not soft. I haven’t slept so soundly in years. I was so nervous purchasing without trying it but I’m very happy with this mattress.

Pros and cons
I was very apprehensive to buy this mattress. My concerns were that it would sink in too much, that it would be hot, that it would be cheap and uncomfortable. I decided to try it based on all the positive reviews. Listen, this mattress is amazing! It’s firm enough that I don’t sink in. I weight 200 lbs. it’s very comfortable. I was waking up many times a night on my old mattress. I have been sleeping solid through the night on this one. My morning pains have completely gone. My neck, hips, shoulders, and back were having pressure point pains a lot and that has completely went away. I feel rested for the first time in years. My woman has had the exact same experience as me. It expanded quickly and completely. I suspect the reviews complaining that it didn’t probably left the plastic wrapping around it as it expanded. I ordered a queen and it is slightly oversized which is great because the sheets fit snugly without being slack and sloppy. I will update for longevity in a couple years but as for now a week into it this mattress only has pros and no cons!

Zinus does it again!
I’ve owned three Zinus Green Tea Mattresses and my family have another two, and all 5 have the same great comfort and quality. Now they have the Cooling Gel version which i’ve always wanted. Seems to be just as comfortable as the original Green Tea mattress. Fully inflates if directions are followed, even and flat, even on the King model. They don’t seem to lose any qualities over time either. It’s not Tempur-Pedic levels of comfort, but its very very close for an incredibly low price. Everyone who sits/lays on these is impressed by the comfort. On a firm/soft scale, I would put this right in the middle. I have a spinal condition and my back used to hurt over the most basic tasks, ever since I got my first Zinus mattress I have not had that problem and my back has felt better than ever. Not sure if its the mattress or a coincidence. Be advised, the mattress cover is not removable to wash so make sure to sleep clean and not let any loose-bladdered pets in the bed with you. This goes for any memory foam mattress, once any foul smelling liquids seep into the foam, it’s over and the mattress should be replaced. Luckily, they’re cheap enough to do so without taking out a loan if an accident happens!

1st time buying a box mattress
To begin, I suffer from a lot of chronic body pain and my significant other is a firefighter. We typically toss and turn at night due to pain and stress. In my mind, it made sense for me to get a foam or gel mattress instead of a hybrid. The box was light enough for me to carry by myself (although I didn’t lol) and within seconds of unpacking the bed it sprung up to its true size. We didn’t need to wait hours or days- I literally took a nap on it within the first 30minutes of opening it in the middle of my living room….that’s how comfortable this bed is. The cooling feature is amazing. I didn’t need it because I don’t sleep hot but I love it now. It’s the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept on and we sleep in a lot of beds (avid travelers). I’ve had this bed for about a month and it’s the greatest purchase I’ve made from Amazon. I don’t toss and turn, I wake up without pain and refreshed, I’m comfortable temperature wise. Just buy it.

Good quality mattress
When I first took it out I thought I was gonna have to send it back. It looked so thin. But after a couple of hours it puffed up a bit. Two days later and it is as advertised. My husband works nights and uses a daybed in a dark room to get much needed decent sleep during the day. He likes a firm mattress and this fits the bill. If you want super soft, this is NOT the mattress for you. But it is comfortable (I tried it), well made, doesn’t have a weird smell and we are happy with it.

Just bought our 3rd ZINUS 12 Inch Green Tea Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress, and love them!!
We just received our 3rd Zinus 12″ green tea mattress yesterday. We stayed in a nice place AirBNB in Chattanooga a couple of years ago, and we both slept better than we ever slept in our own home. The hosts were kind enough to provide us with the mattress information. We ordered our 1st one on returning home. As of yesterday, this is the only brand of mattress in our home. The price point and free shipping were pluses, but we bought our Zinus mattresses because we sleep better on them than on mattresses many times more expensive. Having just purchased a small cabin on some wooded property, one of my first upgrades will be a new Zinus mattress. I just have found no reason(s) not to purchase another one. I think sometimes people get so hung up on price and name brands that they think if it isn’t ridiculously expensive or doesn’t come from such and such company, they just must be lacking in something. This has not been the case with our Zinus mattresses. They sleep very well and have a great price to boot. Though this isn’t an item that you buy all that often, It is an item I have gone back to 3 times now and will do so again in the future.

Extremely Firm
I am writing this review for fellow “plush” lovers. I know that it is extremely hard to trust what one person considers soft is the same for another. I read the reviews and see the word “soft” many times – I am beginning to think they mean that the outer material has a soft feeling when you rub your hand on it because on no planet can this thing even come close to soft when referring to the give of the foam when you lay down. Surely if these other reviewers meant soft, as in plushy to lay on, then they must of slept on concrete or diamonds previously. Again, it is tough to gauge others definition of “soft” so I will help those that are like myself and actually want true plushness (there has to be at least one other person in this world that actually likes soft). What I want is something that resembles laying on top of a bed of fresh marshmallows supported by a hugging memory foam that supports all the right spots. Now I understand that this is advertised as “medium firm” and that is why I gave it 4 stars, if this were advertised as anything “plush” it would certainly get no stars. However, if this is medium, what is hard? I cannot even imagine! I am giving 4 stars because it is not the fault of the manufacturer that it has reviews that are misleading but “medium” SHOULD indicate between “plush” and “hard” this has absolutely NO plush, so medium is a far fetch.It mostly expanded in 24 hours but the edges took about 3 days. The smell was not overly powerful and it is good for the price point. I got this for a daybed in an office and it is mainly sat on, although I sure hope anyone that has to sleep on this enjoys sleeping on the equivalent softness of wood. I currently have a 3inch pillow topper, 3 inch plush (actually plush) topper, a queen down comforter (folded in half), and a plush down mattress topper on top and it is like sitting on a cloud atop a brick wall. If you like extra firm, this is definitely for you!Oh and as a side note, whatever you do…DO NOT REMOVE THE OUTER COVER! This is apparently full of fiberglass (wish I had paid attention to that before buying) and will be nasty if you open it. Rest assured, the company says that the fiberglass “should” stay contained if not opened, super reassuring, I know.
