Didn’t have the EXI 625 sticker for the engine
Great product feels well made and sturdy but mine didn’t come with the engine sticker so you know which model it is, the box was in rough shape but it doesn’t stop its performance but it looks odd without the sticker I hope you guys fix this issue by making sure all items are present and accounted for before shipping anymore out to buyers

Love it.
I never had a self propelled lawn mower. My yard is big enough that I should get a riding mower but just small enough that I don’t wanna spend the money. With a regular mower it would take me about 2 hours to mow. This thing flies n I can get all my mowing done in just over an hour. When you close the lever to make it move you do need to take a step forward at the same time or you will do a wheeley. Once u get the hang of it it is easy n great for hills

Ok a couple hours later after putting together and temp cooled slightly. I adjusted the height to 2” an pulled a test not using full strength and wow it caught and ran perfectly so I cut one side of driveway I say for a test about 30’x 6’ which included a lot of crape myrtle leaves that has dropped on that side of drive. And in that small of an area it filled one catch bag and that side of drive is now devoid of leaves so don’t have to get blower out. So I know I’m ready for in the morn to tackle the rest of yard. Day one and I’m elated with this purchase. Will have to work on speed of the propelled parts another day cause right now will run my legs off so way too fast for elderly weak woman with ms to keep up with, but I’ll fix that. My motto slow and steady wins the race.

Replace wave washers for the front wheels.
The only thing I found that needs replacing are the wave washers for the front wheels. Amazon has them available for purchase. Fairly simple to assemble. Add oil and gas. It started the first pull.

Fast and Powerful
The media could not be loaded.
The Good: Drives almost twice faster than three mowers I had past 22 years. Powerful. It mulches tall grass without engine stop or hesitation.The Bad: I wish there was speed control and it was front wheel drive so that I make u turns without releasing drive lever each time.

1 handle to adjust height to cut grass
I was use to a front wheel drive and this one is rear wheel drive. I have gotten use to it now,The handles to start and to engage are reversed from what I was use to but getting more use to it.

Adjustable handle
I love the mower but you can’t adjust the handle down. I have bad shoulder and it is a very powerful little machine. I have to hold my arms up to high and it’s power is to much for me to control. It does wheelie. Handle needs to be able to adjust. I am 5’6″ 156 lbs and workout at gym 3 days a week so I am not weak but I can’t control it comfortably.

I had it doing wheelies
The speed of this mower is no joke. Going on a downslope and turning a corner made me feel like I was on a playground merry-go-round. Pretty easy to put together. Good looking mower. Not super loud. Would buy again, though I do wish it had a speed adjustment. You really can’t even enjoy mowing the lawn with as fast as it goes.

Excellent, powerful mower in a world where everything is weak battery powered.
I wish this company will have a long and busy life; this type of mower is getting harder and harder to find. It’s miles ahead of any electric and weak substitute which is all that you can find here, sadly. What if you need to cut heavy Bermuda grass, or thick fescue, or (forbid) weeds!? Your electric weakling will stall but this baby will power through. And you don’t need to keep it “charged,” wait for it to charge, and stop with your property half-mowed because you’ve run out of piddly battery power. This baby powers through. Just like the “good old days.” I might buy an extra just to be prepared when they outlaw something that actually works well, like this mower.

My mower of forty-two years gave up the ghost
Going to write a sternly phrased letter to the manufacturer, only 42 years? Time for a new mower. Wanted an AWD for the cutting I do. Lots of angled swales, sadly a bad time of year to look for a mower. End of season. Saw this one and thought what the hay. Assembly was dirt easy. Starts so easy! Cuts nice as you would expect a new mower to. At this price point, tough to nit-pic. Wish the bag was a little bigger. Fills quickly, will try it as a mulcher. I’m in good shape, yet wish the self-propel was a little slower. On a steep hill, it takes off, tough to verify footing. Hope this lasts for fifty years.

Self propulsion too fast
Overall this mower is good value. However there are 2 issues;1. Engine is excessively loud. I measured 100db which over the safe level of sound of 90db.2. The self propelled wheels in the rear are set too poweful. When I first pulled on the mower did a wheelie and almost lost control of the mower. This situation is a big negative for me as when this is engaged you have to almost run to keep you with the speed. If this can’t be adjusted to slower engagement, I will return. Calling customer service to see if this can be adjusted to slower pull.

Starts every time!
My husband complained it was too fast — and I saw some other reviews stating the same. I was hesitant to try it based on his assessment, but once I did, I loved the mower! I’m 65, he’s 77, so maybe it is a factor of age, but I think it is more “user error.” When the front wheels are up (e.g. when making turns), the mower does seem to want to take off on you. Once you remember that, you can either hold it more firmly, or you can shut off the self-propelled feature. It is simply letting go of a lever. This mower works really well and it starts for me every single time, which is huge!!! Really hard to mow if you can’t get the mower started. 😉

Broken / Damaged
We received the Yard Force mower 2 days before expected after ordering. After it was assembled we ran a quick test strip on a small section of our yard. The mower started on the first pull. It ran solid. There was only one problem. The left wheel was loose. We discovered upon trying to tighten the wheel, the screw threads where the wheel attaches were stripped. Upon contacting Merotec USA, they requested pictures and proof of purchase. When I went to take the pictures (with the wheel off) I also noticed that the wheel mechanism has been welded, which is different from the other front wheel (see attachment). I also noticed there is a dent beside the defective wheel on the front skirt of the mower. The Amazon proof of purchase shows that the mower condition is “new”. Considering there is a dent on the skirt, an obvious weld and stripped threads on the screw that attaches the wheel, I would venture to say I was sold a damaged / defective and/or refurbished product instead of a new mower. In the attached pictures, my stepfather’s finger is pointing at the defective wheel. The weld and damage is pretty obvious. Merotec customer service was also somewhat challenging to deal with considering the 1st phone rep I spoke with documented my email address incorrectly. She also told me they would send a wheel assembly for us to replace it, which was also incorrect. She also failed to give me a customer service ticket number. Due to her incorrect documentation of my email address, I never received the email, so I called back 3 hours later and asked when I should expect it. The second phone rep finally got the email to me to start the process of getting the lawn mower repaired at a shop near me. Considering the situation, I probably should send the mower back for replacement….but at this point I am waiting on a reply from Merotec to see if they want to issue a partial refund….or if they want to provide a return shipping label since I received a defective product.

Make sure you put the oil in it
The shipping box should have a little more packaging tape on the seems it was almost open upon delivery other then that it was all in the box . (It is easy to push if needed) self propelled is kinda fast but thats fine for me 2 pulls and fired right up and cuts nice also . Easy assembly no issues.

Self propulsion and wheel height adjustment
Self propulsion is too powerful; have to let go to turn a corner because lifting the wheels causes the mower to charge forward. Also, the body of the mower rubs on the front wheel when the wheel height is set at maximum cut length.

Easy to assemble. Motor started first pull. Motor never bogged down. Only possible complaint or surprise is no control on speed of the self propell. It’s a little quick, but that’s just exercise. Not heavy to push, pull, or rotate without the self propell

Dangerous packaging of blades without enough warning !!! See below
So. First thing. Locating the directions. They are hidden in the mower bag for some reason??!! After finding them and assemblingTIP the mower over to removed the hunks of wood that surround the blade. There was not a lot of warning on the fact that these are there so be sure to removed the hunks of wood that package the blade!!!! The mower itself is great. Once the directions are located the assembly was simple enough. I’m figuring if you’re like me .. you can’t afford to have wooden shrapnel flying at you and the injuries that accompany such a mishap. My guess is you can’t afford much of anything due to biden being in office. Like the rest of us. Factor in the Obama years and Obamacare and that’s one avoidably expensive mistake to make. This injury alone with Obamacare is in the tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket so just be sure to remove those blocks of wood.

A Very Fast Mower
When I first assembled the mower I thought the pull rope was broken, but found it only extends if the starter handle is engaged Once I resolved that, I started it up today I am 73 but good shape The self propelled feature is very fast Almost had a mower wheely going I do miss the height adjustment but it started immediately with no issues It is lighter than my former craftsman mower so I have a learning curve but it starts and cuts the lawn and price was good I hope it lasts many years

Love this
We got the box delivered and it was on its side instead of flat and the paper inside said it should stay flat or right side up during transit but we didn’t find anything wrong with it upon opening and assembling itThis machine is large. I didn’t expect it to be this big but I’m SO happy with it! Both front and back yard was completed so quickly!!!The assembly was easy enough but mostly because I have done this kind of thing before. There was little to no instructions inside on how to assemble this thing. One piece of paper with 4 pics and little to no words to describe or explain what to do. And I didn’t see any code to scan to bring up a video or anything either. This one drawback but not anything that would affect my rating of the function though! I just know some people may be interested in that partAfter assembly, was able to get the oil and gas in with no issues whatsoever and the first crank was so satisfying. Started up with no issues at all. Our grass has gone like a month or so without cutting and there are patches that are so thick it’s literally shut down professional landscaper’s lawnmowers before. This thing cut right through them like butter. There was one or two spots that sounded like it was wanting to bog down, but this machine ate it like a champ! And the self propelled function is INSANE!!! Nearly snatched the machine out of my hands! All I had to do was steer and this thing took off and did all the work.Overall I’m extremely happy with this purchase. Well worth every penny!!!!!

Does the job,but a little too quickly
I needed a lawn mower in a hurry, and this was what I got. So far (one season) it’s started every time and gets my rather large lawn mowed on one tank of gas. There’s a little more plastic than I like to see, but it’s inexpensive so I was expecting that. Complaints? It’s self-propelled and so fast that I sometimes have trouble keeping up with it. Because of that, I end up pushing it manually quite a bit. I’m old and have a bad hip, so this may not be a problem for a younger person- but be warned. There appears to be no way to slow it down and the manufacturer says it’s no faster than the “industry standard.” All things considered, I’m happy enough with the purchase. If your old and slow, get one that has an adjustable speed if you can afford it. If you can’t- this is a good pick.

A little over-priced
Self propelled is not at all variable, it is on or off. When on, be ready for it, it takes off. Walking speed is acceptable. The mower, whether in self propelled mode or being pushed steers to the right. It appears that the right front wheel is slightly aligned outward. The single lever height adjustment is easy to use and very convenient. For me, the operators levers are not intuitive. I would prefer the engine lever on the bottom and the propulsion lever on top, but that is personal preference.

Do youself a favor and belive the negative reviews !!!! This thing is awful. First of all the box arrived all ripped up with clear packing tape sloppily holding it together. It looked as though someone had returned it. The only assembly required is attaching the handle, and the bag for grass clippings. Then you just add the oil and gas. Straight out of the box, sitting on level ground only 3 of the 4 wheels touch the ground. Something must be bent. When I tip the mower forward so that the wheel touches it makes a scraping sounds from underneath when i push it. It started right up, that’s the only positive. When you squeeze the self propell lever it takes off … there’s NO WAY TO CONTROL THE SPEED !!!! It goes from 0 to 60 as soon as you apply pressure. The mower pops a wheelie and takes off. You literally have to RUN to keep up with it. When you let go of the lever it is hard as heck to push and maneuver. I mowed through some thick grass, it never stalled out, but it didn’t cut great. It laid the grass down and I had to go back over the area multiple times in different directions. It is awkward and painful on your hands to squeeze both of the levers the whole time you are mowing. My palms of my hands felt bruised the next day. I HATE this mower. Maybe if you have a completely flat yard you can run behind it, but if you have roots, trees, flowers beds, curbs, ot an irregular shaped lawn STAY AWAY from this mower. It is so hard to control and sooo fast … IT’S DANGEROUS AND RIDICULOUS. I wish I had believed the reviews. I thought I could keep up with it. Now I’m stuck with this expensive piece of garbage. I tried to return it, but Amazon just leads you in an infuriating loop on their website that just keeps taking you to a troubleshooting page every time you try to initiate a return.

Don’t buy battery power mowers
I purchased this mower after purchasing a battery powered mower. I should have just purchased this one from the beginning. This mower has great power. Nice to have U.S. made motor. Great on fuel efficiency. One tank does my whole 1/4 acre lawn. Self propel is a decent pace. Mulching feature is what I use, but it’s great that it comes with multiple options. Easy to assemble and store. Great purchase.

I read quite a few reviews before purchasing and noticed some people had said that they arrived with a damage box. This was not my experience. The box was in great shape. The delivery driver and assistant took great care of it. It was easy to assemble. I’ve got a brand new yard at a brand new house and the gras gad gotten quite tall because my old mower had died.After putting the oil in an assembling, it started on the first pull and did an excellent job. It’s light enough of a unit that you could push it easy. As to self-powered you’re not walking behind it. You are briskly walking, almost trotting but it didn’t slow down or bog down on the tall grass. It did a good job mulching and left my yard looking great.So yes, the comment that it’s a bit fast as far as the drive goes is very true it scoots.

I’m in awe!
I honestly questioned whether I would regret getting this. I no longer do. I’m sold. I was shocked at how good the mower actually did. I should have replaced my Craftsman mower years ago. It did a fantastic job.There are a couple downsides to this mower. The handle I’m not totally crazy about and the self propelled lever could be closer to the handle to make it easier to grab. It would also be nice to be able to go faster or slower depending on how much you squeeze the lever. Like others said it can get up and go kind of fast if on flat ground. I did not find this to be an issue when I was on any kind of incline though. Also, I would love it if the self-propelled portion of it would pick up the pace. I prefer speed mowing myself.Those negatives are still not enough to make me regret the purchase and it did such a fantastic job cutting the lawn that I consider it a trade-off and can accept the few minor flaws.

Better be a fast runner
The mower looks great, but it wasn’t explained in the description that there is only 1 speed for the self propelled part, and when I engaged the self propelled lever it did a wheelie and I had to run to keep up with it. I’m an 80 year old women and I can’t run to mow my good sized yard. I also had trouble starting it. My 45 year old son can start it fine, but it did a wheelie for him too, and I bought it so I can mow while he is at work. So I’m returning it to Amazon.
