Exceded My Expectations
Previous tabletop solar lights which I purchased on Amazon performed poorly ( stayed on less than two hours at best), but these lasted from sundown to sunrise. My initial impression was so positive that I already ordered another set.

These are great!

These are great! I needed just a little light out back at night and would rather use solar than disposable batteries. These are just enough light. The flickering effect is kind of realistic, especially when viewed from a distance and you have more than one. If you really focus too much on it you will see a pattern though. Unlike all the photoshop doctored product images, these don’t actually produce giant flames. I’m not sure why any seller feels it is necessary to use doctored images like this when real images would help more to sell their product. How about real images of the product in use at night? Fortunately I took some images and video for you so you can see what these actually are capable of without any theatrical embellishment.I do wish they would charge better in indirect light or cloudy weather, but the product page DOES say they require a full day of direct sunlight in order to stay lit for a full night. I can confirm this to be true. They will run through a full night, but only if they have a full day in direct light to charge. Even overcast or rainy weather is enough to prevent them from fully charging. I have to remember to move this to a sunny area every morning or they won’t work the following night.Even though I have to move them around to charge them, I would still buy these again.

Nice Product
I have multiple flickering flame solar lights, including lanterns such as these. I received my first set a few weeks ago, and this is what I have found to be true, so far. These particular lanterns seem to be made of a sturdy plastic, so you do not have to worry about rust from metal. They come with an easy to assemble hanger with clip, if you should desire to use clip. If so desired. They are very bright and realistic looking. Once fully charged, they have operated from dusk until dawn. I have gotten up just before sunrise, and they are still lit. This particular brand is taller than the standard size of other brands I have purchased in the past. The larger size allows for more light, and a better display. My other lanterns have lasted me as long as 5 years, however, I do not know how many years this particular brand will last since I just purchased them this year. I will update my review with longer use. The only downfall to most of these flickering flame torch and lanterns is, that most of them you cannot replace the solar battery should it fail. So far, I like this product and think it would make a nice gift for anyone who has an outdoor deck, or garden to place them in.

Really Cool Lights
I was looking for some cool and unique outside lights for my balcony and settled on these based on the reviews and videos of them. I can confirm they are awesome, if you are looking for lights that give off the vibe of having old school fire lanterns on your balcony, patio, or outside area etc…. these are it. Their durable through weather, powered by solar, and last quite a long time when you turn them on. I plan on purchasing 2 more of them.

Only charge in direct sunlight
I have these on a patio that gets quite a bit of indirect light. They worked great in the summer and would stay on a good portion of the night. However, right now (November) they only stay on for about an hour, maybe less. If I put in direct sunlight to charge up, it does stay on much longer. I’m disappointed there’s no way to plug them in for use or charging. Would only recommend for use in areas with a lot of direct sunlight.

Great gift idea

Working good so far
They all work and are sitting on my deck till I can install them. Only one is in its permanent place the others will be hung up after some painting. But I have them on and soaking up sun everyday to make sure they are working. I look forward to them lasting a very long time because they are pretty. I like the orange flicker. It’s really something different. Never seen lights like these before. They are a bit smaller than I thought they would be.UPDATE: I finally got the lights where they are supposed to be, hanging by the windows of the shed. They look fantastic.I’ll update when the sun goes down w/a photo.UPDATE: the battery must be starting to go because they do not stay lit all night like they did when I first got them. Downgraded to four stars.And if you can’t change the battery, then I cannot recommend them.

Beautiful and so real.
I am totally impressed with these lanterns. Bright display that is larger than others of these solar lamps. The effect is very near real for a flame. I installed these using a decorative pole, similar to one you would hand a plant on. I hung at either side of my Shed. I store such lamps in a box, in the garage, over winter after a full day’s charge. This year they are performing greatly. BTW, I would never leave solar cells out over the winter as a general practice, as I do not believe that any of these category of lights would have much longevity. Obviously this only applies to those northerners who have a harsher winter than for their fellow southerners. For annual year round lighting I still go with hardwired and use solar as decorative enhancements.

These lanterns hold up extremely well to the elements and still just as bright a year and half later
We live on an island in the Gulf of Mexico and these have been outside for a year and half. These lanterns still looks just as good as the first day we got them. These are incredibly real looking and hold up exceptionably to the harsh environment we have on the island. Absolutely pleased with this purchase.

I’ve had these for a few months, and have even purchased a second set bc my husband and I liked them so much! These are decently bright and give off a nice flickering ambience when it gets dark. They last all the way through the night so far, too! The only downside I’ve seen is that there does seem to have condensation built up inside after it rains or when there is heavy dew, but it hasn’t seemed to affect the way that it works thus far.

I bought two of these several months ago. The look good and work great. So without paying attention to pictures I just ordered two more. No chains came with them this time. To the seller put the chains back on. It helps to sell your product over others. Just charge a couple $ more.

Pretty….but will they perform over fall and winter?
Lovely light that have a charming flicker just like a fire lantern. Easy to operate. The only point of concern is that following a couple of very cloudy days, they did not illuminate ….or, did not make it very long into the night before they went out. I am sure they need to get a lengthy charge placed in the sunlight, but one week into owning them, mother nature elected to cover the sun with clouds. Then…no beautiful flickering lights. We’ll keep trying.

Ok. Good lighting for setting a mood – so so for seeing things.A bit glitchy and uncertain in operation: more clarity in instructions and ease of use of on off buttons would be helpful. Does it charge when in the sun and set to off? If it needs to be set to on to charge, it is hard to tell in daylight whether it’s set to on or not.Often I have the two lamps right next to each other on the deck and think they are set the same, yet when night falls, one lights up and the other does not or does so only intermittently.

Not what I was hoping for
So these are nice for sure and work fine. I had purchased some similar lights before that looked like real flame. These changed the ‘glow’ trying to similate fire but they do not look like fire as much as other ones. I will keep these and use them.
