TetraPrima

Tetra Prima is a slowly sinking complete food in granular form. It makes it easier for ornamental fish that favour the middle regions of the tank, such as discus fish, angelfish and barbs, to feed naturally. The granular food softens up quickly so that the fish can eat it easily. With its wholesome mix of ingredients, Tetra Prima is suitable for daily feeding. Natural ingredients such as shrimps and anchovies ensure a high protein content (47.5%) and maintain fishes’ vitality, resilience and colour intensity. Tetra Prima contains all essential vitamins (e.g. vitamins A, C and D) as well as trace elements such as zinc and iron. The enriched vitamin C in particular prevents diet-related deficiencies and ensures healthy fish growth. Natural fibres e.g. from algae encourage good digestion.

    Fish love it but have to grind it up

    Majority of our fish are mollys and they find these granules too big to swallow. I grind them using a tea spoon and works fine and the fish seem to like it. Just don’t go too small as they then ignore it! I will probably go back to micro granules next time even though they are more expensive.

    Superior food better for fish & tank health

    These sinking granules seem to be preferred by my fish. For the human, the granules have the advantage over flakes: all fish feed on them not just those that go to top of water; fish do not ingest air; uneaten granules easy to see hence easier to remove; uneaten soaked flakes sink onto plants causing plant rot which is far less likely to happen with granules.

    Great stuff. This food is liked by ALL types of fish. I was using it for my tropicals and thought I’d try it on my marines. They love it!!! Haven’t found any type of fish that doesn’t eat it and it’s good for getting reluctant feeders to start feeding. Great fish food.

    Sinking feeling about sinking fish food. Not too impressed.

    Don’t know about this being called slow sinking food. Soon as went in fish tank it hit the bottom. Fish not too impressed and will not eat it. I will not buy anymore as I was left very disappointed with it.

    Grams are for solids, ml are for liquids!

    After searching for “fish food 500g”, this came up. As all other items I looked at on the search were in grams, I assumed the same for this. Why would something that is clearly not a liquid be listed in ml? This is needlessly very misleading. Thankfully Amazon arranged a prompt return, but this should only be advertised in grams in future to avoid confusion.

    Far to big for my tetras mouths.

    I’ve bought many smaller pots of this food for my tetras and I bought this big pot as I’ve expanded my fish room dramatically. I’m sad to say that I am very disappointed. The granules are far to big. They are giant. My fish cant eat them. Do not buy.
