Royal Canin Satiety Support dog food
This is a very good product for dogs on a diet. Recommended by our vet but don’t buy it there as you will pay £20 over the top.Only 4 star as it is cheaper else where about £51 for a 12 kilo bag

Poor Delivery
This item was left with a house four doors away with no notice that this had been done.My neighbour came a few days later to inform me that they had a package for me.This was the fault of the courier – Amazon be aware that this is not the first time I have had bad service from your couriers.

The best one
It is the best one for overweight dogs. Sadly, It is not available in Amazon .they have obesity one but this dog food is 10 times better for fat dogs . I hope Amazon bring this back .

11kg weight loss for our Labrador, highly recommended!
This food was recommended to us by the Vet for our 7 year old un-neutered male Labrador who was approximately 12 kg overweight at 47kg. It had sneaked up on us and as he is a really big dog anyway, surprisingly it wasn’t that noticeable. Then he suffered a slipped disc and the pain and suffering he went through was appalling. We even had to contemplate having him put to sleep, but he came through it and started on his road to recovery. The most important aspect of this recovery, was to lose the extra weight and to strengthen the muscles along his spine with exercise. The vet suggested Royal Canin Satiety as Monty (being a normal Labrador) is always hungry. This food was to fill him up, provide the good nutrition he needed but with low calorific value and be good for his digestive system. We fed him the amount the vet recommended and after 9 months, he had lost 11kg and the vet said that was enough. It was amazingly successful. Very hard to have no treats as he was used to being spoiled but we felt it was life saving for him so we stayed strong. He is now a fit and healthy 36kg and his back has not flared up again. The vet then suggested we up the amount he can have slightly to maintain his healthy weight, He eats the food perfectly happily (but then Labradors do eat anything so I don’t know if that’s a particular recommendation if I’m honest!). We split his daily allowance into 2 halves, breakfast and dinner. His coat is good, soft and shiny, his “product” is perfect, no more dodgy tummy problems and we sometimes add some left-over vegetables to the food just for interest. He is a happy, healthy boy and if your dog needs to lose some weight, this will do the job. However, you should use it alongside advice from your vet, the amounts we were told to feed him were not the same as stated in the feeding guide on the bag so beware. Always take the vet’s advice.

Great for overweight dogs to help them lose weight.
Our Bernese Mountain Dog has bad joints and even after keyhole operation the vet advised the best thing we can do to help him is to reduce his weight. We tried reducing his normal food but that just left him constantly hungry so the vet suggested this Satiety food as it makes them feel full whilst not giving them as many calories.WINNER! He absolutely loves this food, never pines or begs for more food, in fact he has slightly more of this than he would his normal food, and he’s dropped from 49kg to 38kg which is great news. He’s much happier and more agile now and whilst this isn’t the cheapest dog food around it’s worth it to make our dogs life easier.

What would I know
It is dog food, how could I rate the flavour? My dog seems to like it, along with his regular food so I guess it is OK. I’m sorry but as I have never eaten it I can only go on what my dog says which is Woof! Woof! and sometimes Bow Wow!

If the dog was posting this …..
then that might be 1 star! He didn’t like it AT ALL!! Ate it the first two days and then refused it so we added some low fat gravy and he tried that but again after a couple of days left it. However, we have come up with a cunning plan and are mixing this with the Royal Canin Obesity biscuits that we had from before (he had stopped losing weight on those) so he gets half and half and he is eating them now – not out of choice I expect but necessity! And it seems to be working – lost nothing the first week but 200 gms the week after and 100gms the week after that. The biscuits themselves are very dry looking – presumably because they have virtually no “tasty” stuff in them – and just didn’t do it for our Patterdale! Sadly for him though we will be re-buying them if the weightloss continues – he seems to lose a bit and then it all goes static again but we will persevere for now!

Brilliant !
This product is great. My lab/collie lost significant weight in just a month without complaint or upset tummy. I was sceptical at first when my vet suggested this product but she was absolutely right- it does the job. My dog feels satisfied on much less food and the results speak for themselves. Recommend highly.

Satisfied Retriever and Owner
The above Royal Canin food as recommended by my vet has proved to be very successful in keeping my golden retrievers weight in check,because as many people know they will eat 24/7 given the opportunity. Although the basis of the food is fibre and protein it succeeds in satisfying the dogs appetite for longer periods, while maintaining their agility, also if you are a responsible dog owner you will have no problem in picking up the solid faeces your dog produces.

misleading
the product itself if great and does the job .as there is no weight shown on this particular bag ,you would expect it to be 5kg for the price of £22 ,but its only 1.5kg which at most is only £11 everywhere els very misleading ,how this company are getting away with this I don’t know .after complaining they are refunding the total amount of money .

Does the job

I only put out the measured dose for them to eat during the day and I find my little ones are not greedy so they are just about the right weight and look very good for their ages 6yrs, 6yrs and 4 yrs. This is awesome and helps my rescue dog loose weight. I would recommend to contact your vet before putting your dog on a diet and attend reguar appointments to monitor healthy weight loss. Delivery was 2 days before scheduled. Super happy. It’s cheaper than at the vets

Great dog food, this really helped to slim down my Staffordshire Bull terrier. She really likes it too! I would also recommend using the food with a slow bowl (purchased separately!). Another plus is the fact that the food is delivered well packaged and super fast.

Don’t recommend
Both my dogs got terrible flatulence from this food. So bad, nobody could cope being anywhere near them. It must have been uncomfortable for them too because after the first few times of this they refused to eat it ( so, they did lose weight, but I don’t think that’s how it’s meant to happen)I ended up throwing that massive bag of food away because nobody wanted it. Real waste.

Weightless
This is a great weight loss food for dogs. My middle-aged Frenchie’s doing really well on it. It’s better than the Obesity type because it’s lower in calories so he can have more of it to eat. I will admit that he gets his dental stick at bedtime and maybe a low fat treat during the day. He does miss his Greek Yoghurt though!!!!
