GOOD BUDGET FRIENDLY POWDER FOR OILY SKIN
After using other high street setting powders, I didn’t have high hopes for this… I was pleasantly surprised to discover I was wrong! I haven’t used any high-end setting powders to really be able to accurately compare, but it does the job.I didn’t have any issues with the product arriving damaged, but I guess I was just lucky to have a courier who handles parcels with care. I have combination skin, but a rather oily t-zone. I use oil-free skincare and base makeup products, but some of the oil will still seep through. I’ve used other drugstore setting powders that have received high praises and reviews, but they only ever mattify my t-zone for a short duration. This powder seems to set my makeup almost immediately, and absorbs into the skin so doesn’t leave any residue to dust off even when baking. It minimises the oil for quite a few hours. I have only ever worn it on night outs and not for a whole day, so I can imagine if you have very oily skin you might need to do a light touch-up or use blotting papers to remove any excess shine.My only complaint is that the translucent shade is slightly pale, so not a true universal translucent colour. Lucky for me that my foundation is a shade paler than my natural skin tone, or else I think it could be airing on the side of being too light for my medium brown skin. I fear it may leave a white cast on someone with a darker complexion… :3Additionally, the powder is thick/full-coverage (doesn’t feel heavy when worn though). Because of my combination skin type, I can get away with matte makeup products without it making my complexion look dry or dull as there will always be a small amount of dewiness coming through. However, for someone with dry or normal skin I can imagine this becoming cakey quite easily.Therefore, would only really recommend as a powder for those with oily or combination skin.Overall, it’s a decent powder for the price paid. Of course it’s not going to compare to cult favourites like Charlotte Tilbury’s, but it’s a great budget alternative 🙂

The best.
I’ve bought designer powder foundations for over £30 before and quite frankly this is so much better. Great coverage, lightweight and great value for money. Would choose this over and designer make up any day.
Had these for just over 2 weeks and 1 of the straps has snapped off after 1/2 wear not good quality for price –

Great for over foundation to take away shine or for when your letting skin to breathe so not wearing foundation but want light coverage for blemishes over bit of concealer or eyes bags or uneven skin tones etc

Bought this a few times from this seller and always comes as advertised! Cheaper than my local shops, but this time you (obvs accidently) sent 006 instead of 005 so I’ve been walking around looking like I’ve had a spray tan just on my face (not good for a ginger girl in winter) 🤣🤣 still really good value for money, and will be buying again – just please send 005 next time 🤣🤣

Good .. (but no oil control)
I purchased Translucent. I find this is matte, but it’s not as matte as other brands I’ve tried. It has little to no oil control and shine is obvious within the hour (normal, for my oily skin, but I do like to keep it matte)The quality is decent for the price and it’s not overly chalky like some of the cheaper powders can be. I think overall it’s decent value and the coverage is ok, but it can make your skin look cakey/too flat if you’re not careful.However I wouldn’t buy it again. I’ve tried better mattifying powders.The packaging is fine, nothing exciting but it does the job and twists/locks into place which is handy if you’re using it on the go.. I’ve had it in my bag for weeks and it’s still in one piece 🙂

Best face powder around
This product I have used for years and despite times changing the product itself has remained the same consistency. This powder applies thick however it doesn’t leave your skin looking caked. It is the only product for my oily skin that does leave me shiny again a few hours after applying.I recommend this product to everyone as it really is such great value for money but lasts ages and works the best!

Great face powder
Make up looks soft and smooth after use, wears great after a long day too. Recommend!I use a powder pad under my eyes just after using concealer, and any bad areas. Then a large fluffy brush for the rest of my face

My favourite Powder
This has been my go to pressed powder for years now. I use it on top of my foundation to kind of “seal” it and it works and the “silky beige” matches my skin colour really well. No other powder has compared for me over the years. Love it!

Slightly heavy on the face
This product is certainly suitable for most people, however I’ve used better finishing powders than this. It can be quite heavy on the face and sometimes leaves you looking a little caked up, you need to be very careful with how much you use.It is affordable and good value for money, the colour is fine but I prefer a transparent powder personally. In terms of mattifying it works but I’m not totally impressed with it, if you have any small imperfections or cuts on your face, it appears to be attracted to those parts, almost making it stand out more.

Longlasting
The coverage is really good and It really helps to even out my skin tone which is a bit patchy in places. The colour really suits my pale skin and it is long lasting too. If I apply this in the morning it will last me all day even without any touchups. The powder is quite fine and glides on very well so it doesn’t end up looking cakey and it leaves my skin looking smooth and even. A single pot of this will last me for many months and it is great value for money.

Ive used many powders and i have to say that this is probably my favourite. A lot of the others made me break out bus this one hasnt. One thing though is thst when you dab into it, a massive amount of product gets picked up which is usually a bit too much

*Original review:So far I have only used it a few times, but I must say it really does what it’s claims to do. I am happy with the product, I use it on top of my foundation as my T-zone tends to get shiny very fast, and this powder has kept that at bay. The packaging of the product is plastic and not at all fancy-looking, but if you do not care too much about how products are packaged, but are more determined to find good makeup products, then I would definitely recommend the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.Top selling points:- Does not feel cakey- Removes shine- Sets foundation- Easy to apply- Good value for money**Updated review: I still agree with my previous review from a year ago, this is very good value for money. Having used it quite a few times now, as opposed to only a few times as was the case for my last review, I must say I have noticed some minor negatives to this product. It does tend to leave a very slight white cast (perhaps because my skin complexion is somewhat darker than this very pale powder), and it can feel a little bit chalky if applied too liberally.Since purchasing this powder for controlling oiliness in my T-zone, I have changed my skin routine, and over the last few months have stopped using the powder as I have managed to control the oil. I do not know whether this may apply to more people than me, but I found out that the reason my skin was getting oily was that it was overcompensating for dryness! I was very surprised when I was told this, but decided to switch up my skincare routine and try out creams targeted at dry skin rather than combination/oily. Needless to say, my skin has gotten a lot better, in fact: so much so that I don’t even use this matting powder anymore! I hope my experience may help point some of you in the right direction of skincare, as I know how difficult it can be to try out all sorts of things and feel like nothing is working.I spend a lot of time reading reviews before making purchases on Amazon as they help me decide on what may suit my needs. Perfect for my skin and covering oily blemishes.
This product turned up quick and well packaged.I have always used this product and absolutely love it.They have different skin tones to pick from.It’s a smooth powder and covers any oily patches or blemishes on the face.It doesn’t come off when touched and lasts me all day. I have a very shiny face but product is great for disguising that.It’s very lightweight on the face and doesn’t feel like you have foundation on.Great value for money too, this last me about 1-2 months and i wear it every day.Would absolutely recommend and buy again.

i rarely use make up but the stay matte pressed powder is a must for my oily skin every day! it’s the best powder i’ve tried and i decided to stick with it because of the amazing quality of it and the matte effect it gives. it feels really light and soft on the skin so its perfect for everyday use aswell.
