Excellent value for the price
Simply don’t understand the folks who gave this razor a 3, 2 or 1 rating. First, using this razor gives you an extremely smooth, not perfect, but very smooth shave very quickly. This is their claim. In fact they point out that while the shave will be smooth, it won’t be as close as a bladed razor. Second, it’s a quick, tight shave whether you’re in the shower or in front of the mirror whether you use foam, jell or shave dry. It works well however you choose to use it. Last, a full charge lasts almost three weeks. That’s plenty of time for traveling on the road or just being lazy between charges. As to their suggestion that you use it every day for three weeks, that’s not a problem because they give you 31 days to return the shaver if you’re unhappy with it. So, use it for 21days and if you’re unhappy, you’ve got 7 days to send it back. As I originally noted, I don’t understand the folks who gave this product 1 and 2 star ratings. Based on my experiences it almost seems as if they are rating an entirely different product. michaelpaul50

Non-standard charging
Excellent razor except for the following. I’ve used Norelco for decades and am always 100% happy with them until now. The charging cable is USB. It doesn’t come with a USB wall-plug adapter either. USB is not available in my bathroom nor in any hotel I’ve been to. Very poor design choice. Also, when the battery dies while shaving, my old SpeedXL Norelco razor will run while plugged in and charging. This will not. You have to charge at least 5 minutes before you can continue shaving. I hope you’re not in a hurry.

The 3600 is Better than the 3500
I had the 3500 version of this shaver for nearly four years, but it stopped charging. I ordered this 3600 and find it to be a superior shaver, even though it looks almost identical. It gives as good a shave as any rotary shaver and the pop up trimmer works well. I have only had the 3600 for two days but so far am very pleased.The 3600 requires an adapter to charge it but that is a minor inconvenience. The 3500 was difficult to charge. The cable connectors were just pushed into the bottom of the shaver but it was hard to get them to work. For the past two years with the 3500, I had to pull the cable out and push the connectors in three or four times before the charging lights would come on. With the 3600, there is an audible click when the connectors are in place and the charging lights come on immediately. It only takes about an hour to fully charge and the instruction book says the charge lasts for 60 minutes of shaving.The 3600 is easy to clean, which I do once a week. Just remove the head and cutters. I use an old toothbrush to scrub everything and then put it back together and start charging it. The 3600 takes the same SH30 replacement heads as the 3500 and I change them once a year. I have never had a problem with the replacement heads that I order from Amazon. They work fine.The 3600 will give a good close shave. This one should last longer than the 3500 I just replaced. The Philips Norelco 3000 series rotary shavers are a good model. I don’t recommend the 3500. But, I highly recommend the 3600 rotary shaver.

A Great Upgrade to My Old Norelco
The battery life on my old Norelco (over 20 years old) was getting down to about five days, so I started looking for a replacement. After a lot of research, I chose this unit. It did not seem like I would get much, if anything, by buying a much more expensive model. So far, the battery life appears to be light-years better than my old one. I get a really close shave. I don’t have a heavy beard, but I now get a much better shave. So much so that there was nothing for my barber to cut when I got a haircut and beard trim a couple of hours after shaving. Simple cleaning with a water rinse is nice. I don’t plan to use it in the shower, but I could. I expect this will last me a long time, and replacement bladed are readily available, should they be needed.

EXCELLENT SHAVER
Great performance….the blades cut thru the beard effortlessy and are good for a year. Only $22 for a SH30 replacement set here on Amazon! A couple things to address by other reviewers – it comes with a USB cord only so if you dont have any wall chargers around the house (WHO DOESN’T? PC, laptop, old cell phone) order one here on Amazon or charge it in your car. Second- I highly recommend Williams ‘Lectric Pre-shave. The shave glides nice and smooth over your face and yes much less irritation. If you are a previous foam and blade shaver or a newbie it will take a few shaves to set up your beard but it’s worth it. Cleaning – you really dont need any brush just open up the head assembly, wash them out under hot water, close and tap the shaver into a towel to speed up drying -that’s it! Years of performance you can’t go wrong with Norelco. Oh and the pop up trimmer works great too in those private areas to groom. Love it!

Easy to use
Great quality to price ratio. I’ve previously bought cheaper electric razors and they eventually break and do not last over a year. Upon opening the package, I could feel the difference and increase in quality. It offers a clean shave after each use whereas I had to do several shaves to catch any residual patches with prior electric razors. The only gripe I had is that this doesn’t come with a charger for the outlet. It instead comes with a USB charging cable. Because of this, my personal rating is a 4.7/5 instead of a 5/5.

It does not come with the necessary plug in device, therefore you cannot use it!!!!!!!!
Dislike, not told that you need an adapter to plug in to 110 volt convenience outlet. Therefore before you can use your shaver you need to buy a 110 adapter. I had an older unit the same as this one and the adapter could be placed into 110 outlet, The company should tell the buyer and adAPTER IS NECESSARY, If I knew I needed one I would have bought one. Better yet one should be supplied with the unit they are not that expensive, At least one could use the shaver when purchased and not have to go out and buy an adapter!!

Close shave, good battery life, comforatble feel
Needing a new razor, I stuck with Norelco. My previous Norelco shavers each lasted more than 10 years. This one is light weight and comfortable to hold, has long battery life (more than 3 weeks of every other day shaving so far, only down from 3 to 2 lights.) Just rinse under running water to clean. Charges using USB A to Norelco charging input. (I don’t know how long it takes to recharge since I’ve only charged it once, when I got it.) If continues like this and it lasts as long as my previous shavers, it will be wonderful.

Reduced my shaving time
This Shaver has reduced my shaving time by 10minutes. I must have let my old shaver blades get too dull and waited too long to get a new shaver (couldn’t find replacement parts for the old one).The only note: It came with a charging cord with usb end, but not a normal wall plug. We do have a few of those laying around so it wasn’t a huge issue.

No power supply cube with this razor
This is a decent razor but the charging cord does not plug into the wall it needs the cube to plug into then into the wall. I had these cubes around from my phone chargers but not everyone does especially those of us in our golden years!! Send the darn cube with it if you’re not putting a regular wall plug on it!!!

Blade shaver for 40+ years. Recent health problem lead me to get a shaver with less chance for skin abrasion. The cordless charges rapidly. Is easy to use and clean. Wet and dry use make a nice convenience.

Pretty good shaver, however..
Bought this because i’ve always wanted to see how much of a difference using an electric shaver would make, it works pretty good though no matter what type of shaving cream, oil etc I used or how gentle I was it would always leave my skin red and burning like crazy for a few days. However, it’s not really the products fault as I simply have super sensitive skin.

Great little razor. Has everything you need and nothing that you don’t need. It charges in one hour, runs quiet and shaves close wet/dry and has a trimmer. Just right! Good value for the money. My last Norelco was a top-of-the-line fancy one. It had more warning lights than the dash of my car! The bulkier head wouldn’t let me shave close to my nostrils. The more basic 3500 just does a better job. Strongly recommended.

I asked Norelco a basic question about their blades, and they did not know the answer. So I returned the razor. The first one, fragile as it is, fell apart and I lost a piece. I tried to get them to tell me if the 3000 series has lift and cut, but they are ignorant of its features and disconnected me. Waste of my time.

Red neck after shaving
I recently purchased this razor after a Philips Norelco razor I had purchased in the early 2000’s would no longer work. I paid $40 for the razor I bought in the 2000’s and it worked and shaved great. No irritated face / neck.Bought this razor for $70, shaved with it 2 times the same way as with the previous electric razor and got red neck and face which lasted for hours. Thankfully I was able to return the razor. I had not experienced anything like this with the razor I bought in the early 2000s.As far as quality, when you turn the razor on, it doesn’t sound smooth, and it it is very light – not necessarily a bad thing but coupled with the sound, I didn’t expect the razor to last more than a year at best before I would need to replace it.
