I bought this and 4 bulbs were out upon delivery. Seller was great to replace them. They lasted full time outdoors for about 2 years when bulbs started going out again.Ordered another string. These have different type bulbs. Same look and warm brightness. For the price I can afford to replace them every 2 years if neccessary. Good value

Number of bulbs has been cut in half
Like other reviewers mentioned, this isn’t really the same product from 1-2 years ago. I purchased again as I wanted to extend the string of lights I had under the deck. They do connect but looked odd next to each other as the new string only has half the number of light bulbs as the old string.

Great Price and Look, Mixed Durability
I’ve purchased four sets of these lights in the past and am writing this review as I purchase a 5th. For the price the look is great and brings some atmosphere to whichever space you use them in (I have some in my office, living room, back patio and front patio). For an occasional-use outside feature, it’ll last a long time.However, if you aim to enjoy these lights on the daily then you should be prepared to continually replace the bulbs. We have one of these sets strung across our living room and turned on each night for 5-6 Hours – our heaviest use of this product. After about a month-ish of that usage so you’ll have the first bulb go out and then see one or two burn out each month afterwards. For the look and price I’ve been happy to replace as they burn out, but it does eventually give you the feeling of “I JUST replaced all the dead ones, now another is gone.”Also, sometimes these bulbs burn extra bright when you switch them out – and if it does you should expect that particular bulb to burn out real quick. I also have seen some that appear “burnt out” which come back to life if you lightly tap on the bulb. Unfortunately, the reverse is true as well where I’ve bumped a working bulb while replacing one next to it and had it die on me. Ultimately the bulbs for these are finicky and not the longest lasting – but at least they’re relatively cheap. If I could get the exact same look with LED bulbs instead I certainly would invest, but alas.As for durability over the longer term, the actual cord for the set of lights I put in my living room lasted about two years of heavy daily usage before last night it finally kicked the bucket. It’s the only one of the 4 sets of these that has had the cord die.Ultimately great value for what you get, just anticipate some upkeep costs to keep the bright lights a-flowing.

WONDERFUL LIGHTS!
I hung a 25′ string around the perimeter of my balcony, and they look fantastic! I have a grid-style railing, so the lights clipped on and are not only secure, but in a nice even line. I also plugged them into a dimmer extension cord, so I could play around with the brightness, in the event they were too bright – but with the 5 watts per bulb it’s really not necessary unless you just want some very soft lighting. I prefer the incandescent lighting to the LED, as that’s too “cold” and although the bulbs may last much longer, they’re too bright – and the bulb is plastic. I like that the incandescent is glass. NOTE: Remove ALL the bulbs before you even take the string out of the box or hang, as the bulbs ARE somewhat delicate, and you don’t want to risk breaking any before you even hang them. They were packed very well, arrived quickly, and came with the two extra bulbs as stated. However, I DO recommend ordering extra bulbs, so you always have extra on-hand if/when a bulb breaks or burns out. BUY THESE!! You’ll love them!

Great ambiance!
I bought these for my back patio. My wife likes to sit out there during happy hour. I have a wall light at the door leading out from the house and a floodlight at the other end of the patio. My wife didn’t like the floodlight or the wall light at the door. She wanted something softer and more personal. I bought two strings and just plugged then together and used Christmas light hangers to attach them to the eve of the house. A small table with an umbrella serves as a light pole where I ran the lights over to the top of the umbrella and then back to eve of the house in a ‘V’ shape. SHE LOVES THEM!!!

These are…. fine. But not what I was hoping for. I saw some of the reviews and it seems some people got 2 different styles, some strings of lights had bulbs 1 foot apart, some had 2. I really wanted them to be 1 foot apart, this just wasn’t what I hoped for and the images didn’t help so I took a chance and lost. Buyer beware. They are nice and all, just got them, so can’t speak to their durability yet. Just wasn’t what I was looking for.

Glass bulbs easy to break
As I was getting the lights out of the package, two of them crashed into each other and broke. Most of the ones I see are plastic and I assume these were the look as nice and I think the value for the money was good. probably would not purchase again, due to the fact that they are breakable. I would have like to return them, but would never get them back in the box.

1/2 has many lights now
The quality of the string lights is good enough but I purchased these a couple of years ago and they had 26 lights. Now they only have 13 lights. It’s not what I was expecting, that’s all. In the photo, you can see the difference in the number of lights (after the 6th bulb from the corner.) It’s not a big deal but I would have liked it to match.

Good lights, bad bulbs, good customer service?
This is a quality set of lights overall: Packaged well, nice heavy cord, etc. The lights are a bit of a pain to install, in the sense that you must unscrew each bulb, hang the lights and then screw in each bulb. It’s time consuming, but it serves the purpose of preventing bulbs from breaking as you are hanging the lights. As I stood on a ladder, having finally gotten the string of lights in the general place I wanted it, I dropped one of the bulbs and it shattered. That’s on me. Thankfully the lights ship with one replacement bulb. Oh good, I thought, the manufacturers were thoughtful enough to prepare for this eventuality. I clean up the glass, replace the bulb, and carry on installing the lights. Then I go to plug them in. One light is dead already and another is flickering like it’s about to give out. I tried screwing and unscrewing the bulbs, moving bulbs around to see if it was an issue of faulty wiring as opposed to bulbs, and no, it’s the bulbs.UPDATE: It’s been 2 weeks since I wrote the initial review and I have to drop another star. Two more bulbs seem to have burnt out in less than 10 hrs of total use.UPDATE 2: It’s been about a week and a half since the last update. I received a very thoughtful email from the seller expressing regret about my negative experience with this product. They explained that sometimes in the manufacturing or in shipping, microscopic fissures can occur in the bulbs, allowing air to enter and causing them to burn out quickly. It seems I just got unlucky and received a particularly fragile set. They offered to send me replacement bulbs and fuses in order to fix the problem. I have updated my rating to reflect their good customer service. When I receive the bulbs and the situation is completely resolved, I will check in again.

Doesn’t include a remote
I noticed that the product review page asked me for a rating on the “Remote Control,” but this is just a plain old string light set, no remotes, no on/off switches. Plug it in and watch it go.I leave these out in the rain and haven’t had a problem, but the bulbs do need to be replaced rather often. If you catch them at a good price, order two sets and keep one in storage. Over the course of a year, you’ll have to replace around 30-40% of the lights with regular usage, and you can steal bulbs from the set in storage to replenish the burnt out ones. This method ends up being cheaper bulb-for-bulb than buying replacement bulb packs.

Great patio lights
I love the soft, warm ambience this created on my patio. Plus, it’s long enough to cover the area well!Reason for 4 stars instead of 5: The package came with 2 extra bulbs, but I had to use them immediately (probably because of shipping but who knows). I’ve had them up for about 6 months, and 3 more bulbs have burnt out. (I ordered another set as a cheap way to get more replacements bulbs.)

As expected BUT spacing is significant
We had had to replace two sets of string lights. Found these with great reviews, they arrived quickly, but will not work for our needs. On the right is the product… the left is our previous string lights we are trying to match. The images make it appear the lights are closer together but they are about 2’ apart. Not a negative but the images are a tad misleading (just something to be mindful off when ordering).GREAT quality, durability, and shatter-proof bulbs!

100 ft incandescent can be shortened easily
These lights turned out to be affordable and perfect for my purpose. I wanted a 3 strand sun ray pattern coming off my pergola and attaching to a tree. I needed about 80 or so feet but didn’t want to mess with connecting strands. I ordered the 100 foot long incandescent light strand. It’s non-connectable to another strand so it has a cap bulb on the very end. I was easily able to cut the extra length off my strand and pry the top of the last “cap” bulb on the end of the strand and then insert the end into it and push the cap down to seal it. All I had to do was run my strand and then terminate it where I wanted to to end. Once it was safely capped off I ran power to it with and outdoor heavy duty extension cord and that’s it. A little creativity with a tree strap and a string light hanging kit and everything is up nice and secure. I plan to replace the bulbs as they eventually burn out with shatter proof led bulbs of the same type. These are glass so they are fragile and can break like any other glass bulb. I inserted all of my bulbs first and placed each one back into the padding they came in. Then I had someone help me hang them on the wire as I carefully fed them the strand removing the screwed in bulbs from the padding as we went. Definitely easier when you have a second person to help you hang these.

Light bulbs a bit too thin and break easily. The good thing, they send two extra bulbs. Also, I would have added a switch instead of constantly having to unplug the cord. They do create a good ambiance.
