SAVES THE HANDS
I AM A LITTLE OLD TO BE TRIMMING MY OWN BUSHES AND TREES, BUT I ENJOY IT. THIS TRIMMER MAKES IT EASY FOR ME TO TRIM BRANCHES UP TO 3/4 INCH . I COULDN’T DO THAT WITH REGULAR TRIMMERS. THIS WILL HAVE A LOT OF USE AND I BELIEVE IT WILL HOLD UP FOR A FEW YEARS.

My wife loves them
I like that my wife finds them easy to use. She told me that she can cut stuff in her garden that she never could have cut with her old shears. I’m glad she is happy.

sharp but unpredictable rachet mechanism
It is perhaps the sharpest and easiest pruner I’ve ever used in the last ten years. The grip is comfortable due to the shape/design. But the padding is not especially soft. The main reason for my 4-star rating is that the rachet function is unpredictable. I tried branches of different sizes and textures, using the pruners in different angles and switch positions. My conclusion is that I can’t really control the rachet function. It kicks in randomly. I also had to wrap one of the handles with foam material to prevent it hurting my middle finger.

HIGHLY recommended for hard workers
I liked the fact that even after eight decades I still can prune my blueberries and tomatoes without making my arthritic hands painful. Siince my hands had been my livelihood, they got used a lot – and still can be used in gardening. Definitely better than painkillers!!

Not a good choice
The hand clipper is comfortable in my hand. Using it to cut back a large fern was difficult. It would only cut a couple stems at a time. I think the problem is that the bottom blade is actually an open channel that the top blade forces the stems into and cuts when the top blade actually hits the bottom of the channel. It took a lot more effort to cut and it was slow work. Wished I had not used them so I could have returned them. Not a good purchase.

Not German…
Haven’t used these pruners yet, but they are absolutely not German made as indicated in the description. I’ve included pics of the front and back of the packaging that clearly show that they are Chinese. We’ll see how they perform.

Ease of cut
As an 85 year old who still does her own gardening and lawn care- the ease of cutting small branches and such has me completely satisfied with theses clippers. Plus the unique style of the handles make sure they don’t slip while cutting.

Weak tool
It is designed for very light trimming. Great for trimming flowers. Don’t use it for branches thicker than 1/2 inches, it is hard and you may end up damaging it. Great blade but weak body.

German but made in china
I don’t own a home but rent my apartment.i have arthritis so I wanted to cut some vines coming down from thehouse behind parking area.it worked fine at that. It is too short if you have to reach higher up.the locking clip that secures the blade is too sided instead of 1 sided which would have been easier for me because of arthritis. The handle is very comfortable

Good product
Don’t think i’d label these as “premium”, but they are still nice. Very lightweight and easy to handle. Which kinda makes them feel a little flimsy. Obviously they are very sharp right out of the box, so time will tell how they hold up in the long run. The scissor-like design is nice. Haven’t used then on anything more robust than medium to large sized house plants, but they sliced thru 1/2” thick palm frawns just fine.

The best ratcheting clippers EVER
I hate that most gardening tools come in black and green. When you have to put them down to use a different tool it’s hard to see where you put them down. These are bright yellow so I can easily see where they are when switching tools!!! Also – they don’t lock by themselves like my dog’s nail clippers do with every clip. Surprisingly they lock when the operator wants to lock them – most have a mind of their own!!

Cuts well but…
It cuts well – but doesn’t close. I’m other word you can latch it closed when not in use. I didn’t send it back because I didn’t think it was sending it back was worth it and I will keep it. But I would not have bought it it I had now it would not close.

Great garden shears
I wanted a pair of shears that are easier on the hands and cut well. These fit the bill. They are easy to hold and my hands are NOT sore after using them for a while. They are well made and have some nice weight to them. These are perfect for using to cut flowers every summer.

They rattle like they’ve been used for a couple of years. Not bolted tightly. Unlike any other GERMAN tool I’ve ever owned.Too bad because they cut well.Very disappointing (especially for a German product)!

not what I expected
I have about 30 years of active gardening experience. Fair to say that I garden for hours every day that the weather permits me to. These are not Premium shears or pruners. The handle is slippery, lightweight plastic. Hard to hold with repeated use. The pruners dulled after about 5 hours of use. I am still working with the shears, but they will only cut leaves and the smallest flower stems. Nothing more. I would say this product is meant for occasional use by casual gardeners.

Just one problem for us “older” folks
I chose this cutter as it said it was easy for us “old folks” to use. However, when it arrived and I got it out of the packaging, I could NOT open the blade. I was about to return it when my son visited and he forced it open so now I can use it but it doesn’t close.I’m still glad I bought it as it does cut easily and cleanly. The “elderly” however, may need to have someone younger around to open the blade for them. (I am 88)

Pretty nice but not quite what I was hoping for.
These do work pretty well. I think that it’s fair to say that I could use these to cut through material that I wouldn’t be able to get through with standard cutters. However, each successive “squeeze” of the handle requires considerably more effort. I was hoping for an effect more along the lines of more, easier hand movement to move the blades a smaller distance. One thing to note, I have large hands…the size of hand that most places don’t stock gloves for. I think these are a really good size so, if you don’t wear XXL or at least XL gloves you might want to keep shopping.

This clipper fits very well in my hand. I think it’s really well suited for smaller hands. Not sure it would work as well for a large hand. Very comfortable to use and cuts really well.

I’ve been using these for my cut flower business and they’ve help up well. They are a good budget option and cut great. The lock does come open a little easily, but it’s not a huge deal to me.

95% great product
So far everything is great EXCEPT the locking mechanism. It is made of flimsy plastic that I am sure will break it no time. I am hopefull it won’t, so will keep using to find out. It is a struggle to make the lock work. The rest of the clipper materials seem to be very good quality and it is confusing why they would put such cheap material on it.
