Really like this product

Not what I bought it for but not a waste of money!
People rave about this concealer and I really wanted to love it too. I used it a lot to try and get it to work for me. I have quite average dark circles under my eyes, not too deep or dark, but noticeable – and I found this concealer far too thin to make any real difference. I also didn’t find it buildable at all as it clung to every slight line around my eyes!I didn’t like the applicator and found it very difficult to control how much product actually came out. Precision during applying was nigh on impossible due to the really wide surface area of the cushion.I did, however, repurpose it and it’s a very nice highlighter once you have foundation and concealer on and I would recommend it for that!

sponge can be annoying
i find that the sponge absorbs a lot of product, and whilst you can remove it that does make it a bit harder to applicate, overall not a bad product and would use again

This make up is amazing
firstly found it hard to get the make up on the sponge sat for ages twisting the base before it came out, however the makeup itself is amazing, hides the bags under my eyes really well. my only concern is that it will get used if my daughter finds it.

My new choice of Concealer
This is a new option for me, I used to use a different brand that was in a tube but applied with a wand, however, I found myself constantly having to buy them, they didn’t last long at all. This Maybeline one is great as you don’t find yourself putting lots on and the way it works with the sponge on the end controls the amound used more. Great product, would definitely recommend, feels like this one will last ages.

The correct shade
I was pleased on arrival as it wasn’t covered in far too much sticky stickers over thr lid. It was much easier to open. This one was a little tricky to get product through the little sponge applicator to begin with. I had twist many times and oress gently on the sponge many tines too. As soon as it began to come through it has worked as they should.

Really beautiful finish
Such a mixed bag of reviews, I didn’t know whether to go for it or not, but so glad I did. I haven’t bought a new foundation or bb type cream in ages and wanted to treat myself to something lightweight that was also not too expensive if it turned out to be no good. I use Tretinoin and have a good skin care routine but because I use a retinoid it can make me prone to slight dryness/flaking/peeling, especially in winter, which isn’t visible without make up on but is with foundation, even very light weight ones and bb creams. I’ve got quite a few products that I just can’t wear as they make my skin look worse instead of better! I wasn’t looking for full coverage as I’ve spent quite a few years improving the condition of my skin and quite often go out without any kind of foundation on. At 54 I was interested to see what this product would be like with it’s apparent anti age properties. I popped on some concealer and under eye illuminator first. I like that you can dot it on with the little sponge so it’s easy to apply around your face and then blend it. I blended it in with my fingers and then buffed in with either a beauty blender or a foundation brush. The colour Light was just right for my neutral pale winter skin with yellowy undertones. It gave a nice lightweight cover and slight glow to my skin. It didn’t sit in my pores or lines and it didn’t emphasise or cling to any dryness. It just looked like my skin but better and gave me a really healthy glow which is what I was hoping for. Whether you like this or not will likely depend on your skin type but I will definitely buy again. My new favourite bb cream.

Best concealer I’ve ever used by far and I’ve tried a lot of luxury brands. I’m in my late 30s and this is great as doesn’t settle into fine lines and has great coverage but not cakey.

opening this is a nightmare !
well i spent 20 minutes trying open this thing not only was it impossible the sponge flew off!! .product is good but using it is a challenge and one i must admit I failed at.i ended up cutting the nozzle and using a thin nail to stop it drying and using a toothpick to get to the concealer.come on maybelline fix this….

I have tried so many other concealers and as I’m getting older unfortunately alot seem to emphasise my new eye creases 🥹 this doesn’t at all and it doesn’t make your creases look deeper like many do. Really pleased. Next to benefit boing this is my go to.

Nice concealer I think I got the wrong shade but apart from that the coverage is brilliant and it’s easy to use and blend with the sponge applicator, I am going to try the darker shade to use as a contour as I’ve heard it works really well. Good value for money

Product is lovely, but the twist at the top is broken after a few uses
I can’t get 90% of the product out at all, it is stuck in there, as you rely on the twist at the top to release more fluid into the sponge. I bought two, so only just started using this one, so too late to return, no way to complain. The twist needs to make a clicking noise, but this one just swivels around. I will buy another one, to see if I get the same problem, as it is really good value for money and a great concealer IF you can get it out the tube, which is kind of the idea!The first one I used worked really well, it is great for covering up dark circles, and also if you buy a shade lighter than you need as well, it works great as a highlighter. I use it as eye shadow base, then when dry you can put powder shadow on.

No instructions!
I’ve had this for a month and only found out today, through reading the small print in the product description, that it won’t work properly until one twists the top of the tube eight times! I had previously tried twisting it a few times, I’d shaken it, I’d dabbed and dabbed it hard on my hand, twisted it again, etc etc. Maybe, now I know, I will finally be able to give it a try and get back to you with a review of the concealer itself!

Tricky to open.
I has a bit of bother getting this unwrapped and turning. The shade looks lighter than the one I chose, but it does go on easily enough and does the job. I would pick a darker shade next time.
