a gift purchase
I ordered this as a gift for my young grandson. At the 11th hour, their parents changed their bed style & this was not compatible so I reluctantly had to return it. The seller was most accommodating in arranging for its return. I have goose down on my beds & know just how comforting & comfortable they can be. When the children get older, I will try again.

What Not to Like?
This is the husband doing the review as I have been asking my wife to purchase this type of comforter for awhile. Here are my likes and dislikes but first let’s talk about the first time you open the comfort. Yes, it came vacuum sealed, totally compressed. I opened and spread it on top of our king size bed. King size comforter is true to its size, no more, not less. I started to shake each corner and made some waves with that shaking. In minutes, I could start to see the puffs coming out… more shaking here, some there, and the comfort was good to go. Within 1-2 days, i could see all the puffs like my pics show.Likes:I really like the softness and the comfort it gives you. My favorite part is that the comfort embraces you, it fills all the gaps underneath so you feel protected, packed, engulfed by the comforter but is a great feeling because of its softness and lightweight. I don’t have the gaps underneath like we had with our previous comforter filled with polyester which was heavier and left lots of gaps forcing me to roll the comforter under my feet, I don’t have to do that with this comforter as it contours your body. If you like that feeling, you will love this comforter too!Noisy? What noise? Lol, I saw some reviewers talking about noise and to be quiet honest with you, I have no clue what noise they are referring too. There is no noise on this comforter, none!Feather stems? I am yet to feel any stems in those feathers, it is just fluffy and lightweight.Dislikes:Nothing is perfect and this comforter is no different.One is that only white color is available, like to have options of colors.The second is that it says “all weather” but it is on the warmer side a bit. On cold nights, it feels great, but on those nights where your thermostat has not kicked in for either heat or cool your home, it does feel warm underneath it. I use a bed sheet under the comforter so I removed that and it felt less warm but then it warmed up again to the point of removing the comforter and pulling the bed sheet over. It is a little annoyance but I think is because of those warm days of autumn where your thermostat did not kick in. If you feel warmer all the time like I do and that is an issue for you, you should look for another comforter.I would have given a 4.5 rate because of the warm feeling but since that is not available and i liked this comforter overall, i am giving a 5 stars.

Cost unsure
I have wanted a comforter like this for the longest. Was it worth 149, still undecided. I received it in the warmer months and it was too hot, so this winter should be great.I also did a bad thing and washed (rinsed twice) and dried it on knits in the dryer. No special detergent, and dryer sheets. I wouldn’t recommend because it’s not recommended but I was in a pinch and everything turned out fine.

First off, I would like any reader of this review to know I was not asked to write this review by anyone. Sometimes, however, a provider of good products with outstanding customer service should be rewarded in some good way – this is my good way!I received my Queen-size comforter about two years ago and found it to be about what my wife and I wanted – it was to be a replacement for another brand of comforter which we did not like, but put up with it until we decided to make a change. This time I was a lot more knowledgeable about down comforters and our particular needs and desires. After a brief conversation with the customer service at Egyptian Cotton Bedding wherein we discussed merits of their baffle construction and a description of Siberian goose down, as I recall, I decided to give Egyptian a try and made the purchase.The first year’s use was perfect for us even though we thought it was perhaps a little heavier weight wise than we expected. It really wasn’t heavy, but it did feel a little weightier when compared with others we had used, for whatever the reason. Sleeping under it was not problem at all.Based on some reviews, I was expecting to hear noises emanating from the comforter during moments of movement. That did not happen.When I made the purchase, I did not know if the cotton material used to house the down/feathers fill would allow leakage of the fill to the outside. Apparently, it does not, based on our two-year experience with the comforter which fitted inside a duvet cover.We did run into a problem with the comforter that was not expected to happen. I told Egyptian’s customer service about the issue via a couple of emails. They understood the problem and said they would get back to me within a few days after discussing the issue with the manufacturing. They did, in fact, get back to me right away with a solution that worked for both Egyptian and me. Egyptian made everything right and with hardly any effort on my part.Bottom line: My wife and I really like the comforter, believe it to be an excellent product and good value, would re-order the same comforter again, as the need arises, and cannot overstate the ease of working with Egyptian’s customer service to resolve our issue. How companies deal with issues is often a crapshoot. In this case, I could not ask for better customer service.A very satisfied customer,David A.

You need to size up
I have been looking for a heavyweight, good quality, down comforter, that didn’t cost an arm and a leg, forever. I would definitely not call this down comforter heavy, nor is it as puffy as I would honestly like it to be. However, it is warm and it is comfortable and I am glad I purchased it. I have a queen size bed, and I ordered a king size blanket and I’m glad I looked at the reviews and sized up.

LOVE THIS COMFORTER
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this comforter. I was large enough to cover my Cal-king mattress and down the sides at least 12+ inches which was important to me as I use the comforter as my spread. Nice comfortable weight. Would definitely recommend this item.

WOW!!!! Beyond what I was expecting!!! I’m so excited!!
Wow! Just wow! So far so good. Just added the pics and they really do it no justice. Better in real life. I just opened my goose down and rolled it out and I am amazed at how huge and nice this it is. I bought the Palatial King size W/80% Down fiber & 20% feather fiber. I live in Texas, it gets hot! I was worried that if I got anything less it wouldn’t be as full and fluffy. Well, I think I was wrong! Lol I was wanting a heavier duvet but I think I might have gone a bit over board. I am not complaining as of yet though. I am so happy with it so far. I just opened it and rolled it out on my bed and it already started fluffing up on its own. I’m empatient so I started helping it along a bit but still, I haven’t even put it in the dryer to fluff it yet and it is really doing well. My only complaint so far is the down/feathers aren’t equally full in each pocket box. Some are missing quit a bit. I’m hoping it just needs time to fluff up but I know that’s not the only problem because I started fluffing each box pocket and more than a few in the center of the duvet are more empty feeling than the rest. It’s not terribly empty like some reviews I read about. I was worried this duvet wouldn’t be soft and full and nice enough but it really is, so far. If some of the box pockets were more full equally throughout I would have given this 5 stars! But so far so good.

Has Puff!
This has the true puff your looking for. Like it looks like it adds inches to the bed kind of thing. Glad I chose this. I let it air out flat for a day and did the air dry ( no heat) setting on the drier and it was good to go.

Great quality and this fluffy ! I tossed it in the dryer for 20 min and it’s been holding up great! I’m glad I bought this it’s as good as the $300-500 ones and it’s about medium so it works for me a cold sleeper and for the hot sleeper !

Fabulous find! Beautifully made, perfectly warm, luxurious quality. down comforter.
The headline pretty much sums up how thrilled I was when this comforter was unwrapped. The quality is top notch. I use a duvet cover which adds two layers of cotton to the fluffy white down comforter. The result is a lightweight but extremely cozy cover. We’re using the “palatial size” to cover twin adjustable beds and the 120 x 98 size is perfect! Highly recommend giving this comforter a try when in the market for luxury down … amazing value.

So warm and cozy
This down comforter took very little time to fluff, it is a good quality and comes with seven ties. I purchased the palatial king in winter weight. We tried to use it this fall in October and it was way too warm. Now that it is November, we are happy to use this comforter. That is lightweight and warm. There is barely any sound, there is no smell, and it is a great value for a down comforter. I may purchase another in a different weight for other seasons. This makes our bed feel like a cloud!

I’ll never go back to a polyester filled comforter again!
***Only had comforter for a few days, so will update if necessary at a later date.***Picture 1: comforter inside the duvet cover I ordered at the same time. As you can see, even inside the duvet cover, this comforter is quite fluffy. It has not been washed and dried yet either. The slight new smell disappeared after allowing it to air for a couple of hours, per manufacturers instructions.Picture 2: the satisfaction guarantee and unpacking instructions included in the packaging.This is an amazing comforter! The quality is great, it fluffs up beautifully, it’s just the right weight, it’s soft right out of the bag, and oh so comfortable. It was package well, inside a vacuum sealed bag and into a breathable fabric bag, and shipped in a solid and sealed Amazon cardboard box. At this point, I’ll never go back to a polyester fill comforter again!!Now to address complaints for this comforter.First off, if you’re not familiar with, or owned and slept with a down comforter, do some research before selecting one. Doing so will ensure you know the terminology, production, quality standards, myths and gimmicks associated with down comforters, and ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. I suggest Googling a third party review site, such as, supercomfysleep.com and goodhousekeeping.com. Both these sites explain fill-power, construction, and cleaning; while supercomfysleep.com covers myths and a few other misnomers associated with goose down comforters. Now onto specific complaints in the reviews.Noisy: all goose down comforters will have more rustling noise than a poly-filled comforter. My personal experience with comforters in general, is that they create some rustling, period. If you’re that sensitive to noise, perhaps you should stick with cotton/polyester blend blankets, and avoid comforters all together… or invest in a good pair of ear plugs. Frankly, I find this complaint a bit overly dramatic and unnecessarily critical. This comforter has average rustling sound equal to a poly-fill, and decreases with both, over time.Not as pictured, particularly the fluff factor:The manufacturer ships this goose down comforter, vaccum packed, which removes all the air from the product and the bag. This has a decompression effect on the down and requires it to be laid out and fluffed (shaken) several times, for a minimum of 2 hours for the fluffiness to return, and over several days it will reach full fluff capacity. These instructions (see included picture 2) are clearly laid out in the paper insert included with the comforter. If you have zero experience with vacuum sealing/packaging, then you won’t understand this, and incorrectly assume you’ve been ripped off. You haven’t, you’re just not following instructions.False advertisement (claiming not filled with actual goose down):First off, yes it is. Second, down and feathers are two very different things. Down does not have stiff and thick quills like feathers, nor does it have the same structure and consistency of a feather. Down is very fine, fluffy and fuzzy in consistency, as it is the insulating layer underneath the outer feathers of a goose, and it’s quill/spine is very thin and small compared to a feather. If an animal; such as a dog, masticates (chews) on down it will NOT look like down anymore. Rather, it will be shredded and separated from it’s fine quill spine, making it appear to be bits of opaque plastic and pieces of mushy material. And frankly using a picture of this exact situation (reviewer pictured masticated down her dog had chewed on after chewing a hole in this purchased comforter) as proof it’s not filled with goose down is either very naive/ignorant, or worse, disingenuous and blatant misrepresentation. I have no doubt that this comforter is filled with quality goose down, as it’s reviews and ratings speak of its quality, and the manufacturer. Not to mention the guarantee the manufacturer offers with this product. Moreover, this manufacturer and comforter is listed by supercomfysleep.com as the number one pick, in their reviews.Therefore, I’m a completely satisfied customer and highly recommend this goose down comforter and manufacturer. It is a quality comforter for the price, with exceptional fill-power, and manufacturing. But, as I stated in the beginning of this review, be a wise consumer and educate yourself before purchasing. As this will ensure you are satisfied with your purchase, and will have reasonable expectations of the product’s quality and construction. And hopefully, you’ll come to feel like I do about this comforter: I’ll never go back to a polyester filled comforter again!

Oh so very very soft!
Sooo soft and comfy. Very well made too. The cover of this duvet feels like microfiber…which I absolutely lover more than cotton. I know they say it is cotton…but the softness is amazing! It is warm, but for an all season duvet, I won’t be able to use it in the Summer, it’s just too warm. The boxes in the middle are kind of flat. There is down In there but they just don’t fluff up. Even so, I do like sleeping under it each night.

If you are questioning whether to buy this or not, DO IT. I have never slept so soundly for as long as I can remember. I live in a decently cold state, and an old house along with that. This duvet is so warm and cozy, and I think because it has some weight to it, it also acts as a weighted blanket. But it’s not overly hot at the same time. Just be sure to follow out the fluffing directions. I also manually pulled apart the down because it was still a little balled up. After that tho, this duvet was very fluffy and hotel like. Great bang for the buck:)

Great comforter
I love this comforter!! The Cal King size fits my bed perfectly. It hangs down long enough to cover the mattress on the sides and bottom of the bed. The comforter is soft, fluffy and comfortable. It’s really a quality comforter. I put it in a Cal King duvet and it fits perfectly. It has corner loops to tie to the duvet cover to keep it from moving. It’s an all around weather comforter, not too warm, but warm enough for winter comfort.

AMAZING SIZE!
So I am sorry I didn’t take a picture before we put the duvet on but the comforter is white and we have a beloved dog who sheds a lot. But the size of this comforter is PERFECT! My husband and I have a king sized bed and, our last comforter’s size was the best we had had up until now (we have been married for 30 years). I am a comforter hog (in my sleep) and after years of being awoke by my poor husband, who was pulling the comforter back over himself because he was freezing due to my subconscious selfishness, we looked for larger comforters until we found our last one. Due to our old comforters wonderful size, we kept it much longer than we should have. It is now so dingy in places. We have tried to try to replace it over the last two years because of this. We have looked at LL Bean, Macys, Lands End and Bed Bath and Beyond for one that would compare in size to no avail. A few weeks ago I found the Luxurious Super King sized comforter and I began to hope that we could finally replace our now ugly old comforter. The Luxurious Super King sized comforter has all other comforters beat that we have used before in terms of size!It is long enough to cover the mattress and boxspring. I am so confused as to why the size of this comforter is not the standard. To buy a standard king sized comforter you have to put up with either portions of your mattress and/or boxspring showing and a high chance that one person of a couple will freeze. Not with this comforter! No showing mattresses or box springs (love, love, love)! Good bye problematic bed skirts that adjust and are difficult to get back in place or remove to wash and have to put back after completely disassembling your bed. I never liked the bed skirts really anyway but preferred it over the mattress or boxspring showing! It is also soft.My only very mild complaint is it is really warm. We usually use our comforter all year round and will not be able to do that with this comforter. We had to turn down our heat quite a bit in our bedroom after the first night. So we have to save some money, lol! We will use the money we save to acquire a comforter for the summer. But we are over the moon over the size!!! Time will tell about its quality but feel it is an economical price so are very pleased with our purchase!

I love this comforter so far. Upon opening, I let it fluff for 3-4 hours prior to using. I periodically hand fluffed each section/square particularly the middle ones as the edges seemed to fluff quicker. It does make some noise but I use a duvet cover so it does not bother me.Compared to my last comforter, this is much fluffier and keeps me warm on cold nights so I can leave my heater off. Have yet to try in the summer but I most likely will not use it when the weather warms up because I’m a hot sleeper.The comforter goes just to the edge of my king mattress leaving my wife and I tugging on the blanket to stay covered. My fix was simply rotating the comforter so the top and bottom are now the sides. Still long enough to cover our feet. Wondering if I should have tried to palatial king…

I am a down comforter snob and I will say this one is exceptional. It is very fluffy and warm!! in summer, too warm for me, but I’m they type that can sleep with just a linen top sheet in summer and snuggle my comforter.Especially for the price, this is one of the best down comforters I’ve owned – comparable to ones I’ve purchased from high end bedding suppliers. The cover material is a very soft cotton, no crunch factor, just soft and supple.

Very soft and beautiful but not as fluffy as pictured.
This is a very soft comforter and seemed to be made with great quality and care. I tried to fluff it up and I just could not get it to look as fluffy as the picture they portray so I was disappointed in it and ended up returning it. I read a recommendation that if you want to have your comforter look nice and plush that you really need to put two of them together in your duvet cover. I think that this would accomplish that nicely but I did not want to spend the amount of money that it would take to do that.If you are looking for a lightweight comforter then you would probably be very happy with this. The overall quality was excellent so if this is what you want, then buy it.

Very large and great customer service
I purchased the super King size and it is indeed a very large comforter. I have found that a king comforter looks best on a queen-sized bed but, when you have a king-sized bed, you are usually limited to a king-sized comforter. This comforter hangs down on both sides of the bed and at the foot/bottom, so if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s excellent.I have had the comforter for approximately 1 year and found a few thin spots in the fabric. I reached out to customer service who responded promptly and gave me some great suggestions, which I would like to pass on so that you can use them BEFORE having any problems. They suggested that I not use the dryer on high and also that I add a few tennis balls in the dryer to keep it fluffed. Again, it is VERY large so drying in a standard dryer, especially if you are avoiding the highest setting, can be challenging. The best way to do it would be to allow it to dry flat, on a line or over a banister or something, for an hour or so out of the washer. Then put it in the dryer for a cycle on medium or low and then lie it out again for an hour. It might take a few cycles of doing this, but that’s probably what you should be doing with any down or synthetic comforter, regardless of the brand. It was also recommended to use a duvet, which I confess I had not. Still, customer service tried to help me with any issues and I was very satisfied with their help.Other than this, I found the weight of the comforter has been an excellent medium warmth. On very hot nights, perhaps a little heavy and on very cold nights, perhaps a little light, but 90% of the time I’m perfectly comfortable. It’s also soft and doesn’t have that crinkly feeling. Recommend.

For the price this was a great buy!
As you can see my dog approves of this and loves to lay on it 🙂 I included pictures of the tags and materials that came with this down comforter.Now on to my review which is pretty lengthy but I wanted to cover everything I would want to know. Let’s just face it, down comforters are not a cheap investment so if you’re expecting this to be a 5 star hotel bed experience then this is not for you. I grew up in Germany and have been back to Europe numerous times and have slept under my fair share of down. I’ve slept under better and worse. For the price this comforter is awesome!I bought the queen size and it hangs over nicely on the sides and end and gives my husband and I both enough coverage at night (He tends to be a blanket hog). I use a duvet cover and am deliriously happy that I could do away with the top sheet. No more fighting layers at night and pulling all the pieces back together. It takes me about 2 minutes now to make the bed rather than 10. Also this has the corner and side tabs to attach the cover which was a must have for me.This fluffed up really nice and is now super puffy. The picture of it laid out on the grass was only about an hour after I took it out of the vacuum sealed packaging. It was already pretty puffy the same evening when I went to bed but took about 2-3 days to fully fluff up. The filling seems to be pretty evenly distributed. There are some squares that have a little more or less but it’s only noticeable when you look really closely.Let’s talk about the smell. This is a natural animal product and even though the down is cleaned and sanitized it will retain some of its natural odor. The odor was fairly concentrated upon first opening but dissipated within 24 hours. I air mine out every day weather permitting and have noticed that on high humidity days (50-60%) I can smell the odor a little bit when I first bring it back inside because of the humidity. It goes away again within a couple of hours.Any down comforter I’ve ever slept under makes a crinkle noise, it’s just a down thing I think. Some are quieter than others and this one certainly crinkles a lot. I think it is the fabric they use. I have another light weight one by Globon Bedding and it is much quieter but it also cost more than this and has less down in it (14 oz.). In my opinion it is not loud but I am used to the noise it makes and it is kind of comforting to me. If you’ve never slept under a down comforter or have only slept under a really high quality expensive one then it might take some getting used to.The fabric is not very soft, I would compare the feeling to a cheap box store comforter. I use a duvet cover on mine so it doesn’t bother me but if you are not planning on using one be prepared for that. Once again my other one is much softer but also came with a higher price tag.I live in Vermont and in the summer here on really hot days the temperatures don’t drop much at night. Even with the A/C on this is way too thick and warm. On days where it is in the mid 90’s it rarely gets below 80 at night. If you live somewhere with much cooler nights or are cold a lot than it might work for you even in the summer.To sum it up, this may not be perfect but for the price it is a great product which is why I gave it 5 stars. I would certainly recommend this to anyone that can’t or doesn’t want to spend a lot on a down comforter!

It’s a down comforter

Fit my king bed
I learned the hard way that even if a comforter says king it doesn’t always fit. This one actually covers my entire bed top to bottom and left to right. It quite possibly saved my marriage or my husband from frostbite and we now both sleep happily under the same covers.

Extremely comfortable and BIG
Love this comforter. Too often one orders a comforter that’s supposed to be for a King size bed (for example) and it barely reaches to the edges. This one is way oversized, so hangs over both edges with plenty of room to spare- saves fighting over the covers! It’s also very soft and cozy. Ordered two more for the guest bedrooms.

Wrinkles Wrinkles Wrinkles
I would not buy this comforter again. I was going to use as is (no duvet). But I have to buy a duvet which I didn’t plan on. I can’t get the wrinkles out of it, I’ve misted put in the dryer on air dry. I still have wrinkles.

Perfection!!!
I bought this for my mom on Christmas! She’s 90 years young but was having trouble with the weight of blankets. What can I say other than she is thrilled!She loves it so much! Incredible down comforter!
I love this down comforter, and so does my husband. We’ve had a down comforter before, but the stitching came undone and the feathers kept coming out, so I knew I wanted a comforter that had double-stitching like this one has. Has potential
Very nice duvet if you work to fluff it. I started by pulling the material apart by hand. I laid the duvet overnight to expand more and then washed it followed by drying with tennis balls to fluff more. Super fluffy like the picture but very warm for Florida (like almost unbearably hot). Wish I’d known how warm it would be beforehand.

Beautiful comforter!
I was surprised how compact the packaging was because it is vacuum packed. Upon opening I was a little dismayed at the thinness of this comforter until a slip of paper instructed to place in the dryer before use. 30 minutes of air drying and it fluffed it right up! It’s beautiful and very warm for cooler nights. Not sure I will use it during the hot Texas summers though. I have a king bed but ordered the palatial king and its spreads out so much better then the regular size. The material is soft and so comfortable. Now I’m thinking of ordering for my other beds in the household!

Fluffy, warm and huge
I did a lot of research before buying. I really needed something extra big because my husband hogs the blanket in his sleep. This palatial king is perfection. I was skeptical that it would be as fluffy as the picture but it truly is. And it’s very warm but not overly heavy. It does make some sound but it’s not bad at all and doesn’t bother me when I’m moving around at night, which I worried about.I’m extremely picky and this comforter far exceeded my expectations.

This is it! The one!
I have now found the holy grail of duvets. Perfect thickness, comfortable, fluffy, extra long to cover my husband and i. We have an eastern king bed cause we like our space and our dogs sleep in the middle of us and I was always left without blankets cause my husband would steal our regular king size duvet and I was tired of not sleeping. So instead of getting two separate twin comforters I bought the XL KING. Best decision ever!! We both love it and have soo much blanket. My husband runs hot and I run cold then hot haha so it works for both of us. We have fan and sometimes ac on as our room is the warmest in the house. We have hot summers of 85°-95°+ and even now October it’s 75-85 at night. This does run slightly warmer as it’s thicker than our previous but not where we are uncomfortable.I am not sleeping soo much better. The duvet is beautiful and so fluffy. I just really shook it out. I have 4 different duvet of all sizes and this one is hands down the one that feels like hotel duvets and makes me want to just snuggle in bed in the middle of the day with how fluffy it is.I also have found holy grail duvet cover that I bought in same size and our bed is just perfect. Pictured are without cover and with all our bedding including the dogs shaggy waterproof blanket to protect duvet .Get it!
