Amazing
Blown away by this little beast. The Arm processor is absolutely amazing for browsing, youtube, discord, google drive etc. There is no fan, it makes absolutely no noise whatsoever and you can use it on the bed without worrying about blocking the vents.Nvidia Geforce Now gaming on this works amazing so does discord. The battery life when full lasts around 16 hours with 50 percent brightness while browsing, which to me is absolutely insane.I know the reviews on other Chromebooks online with the Kompanio 520 say it can be slow, don’t take notice. These reviews are of Chromebooks with 4GB of ram. This model has 8gb ram and it is absolutely amazing at multitasking.I’m fully convinced of arm processors for my secondary on the go machine. What a wonder of a little device.

Useless to type on
This was a reconditioned – as new purchase. The one thing you need to know is the keyboard is practically worthless. It misses out spaces and letters is you go any faster than 3 year old speed. Don’t buy at any price.

An excellent budget laptop , a doddle to use and set up, FHD clear display, portable
This was very easy to set up and sync with my mobile phone, the set up was a doddle and I’m really impressed with the specs and overall quality of the screen , very colourful and vivid , clear FHD screen.I find it perfect for watching YouTube or browsing the Internet, but it also comes in handy for work , it’s very portable and streamlined, it’s easy to take with me anywhere and I love te slim design.I had it set up to my canon printer with ease in no time at all, I can transfer pictures and data from my mobile phone easily too , it also has find my phone option if needed.I think it’s an excellent option for a budget laptop, it actually looks more of a mid range laptop , it looks stylish and well made and a popping FHD display.I’ve found the performance of the laptop really good so far, I’ve had no problems with the set up or connectivity of it , it’s been a doddle to use and set up.

Ideal laptop for Year 7 student
This was purchased as a laptop for my Year 7 child to use to carry out homework tasks and for internet browsing. She has found it very straightforward to use so far. We have had no issues with battery etc. A good value item for young people in the early stages of secondary school.

Defective trackpad common problem
item arrived with defective track-pad which is a common fault with the lenovo chromebook. Amazon offered to refund item but i wanted a replacement however they said it wasn’t an option, maybe because the price had increase ? First review was rejected ?

At this price, it’s a no-brainer
£179 for an 8gb chromebook running an MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor, 128gb storage – it’s incredible. That’s before I mention that it has a USB-C port, a regular USB-A port, audio jack for your earphones, a kensington lock and even a microSD card reader! Then you look at the battery life which is stellar. I charged it up fully and took it off the charge around 5pm, it’s 7:39pm at the time of this review and the battery is on 86% – and that’s with music on full volume, several browser tabs open, multiple applications open etc. Even at this rate I’m on track for just under 16 hours of battery life. The icing on the cake is the webcam has a built-in cover, so you can slide it across and a red blob appears over the camera, you can mute your microphone with a button – security has been well and truly thought of. Still not sure? This laptop is going to be updated until the year 2033, June to be precise! So at £179, essentially it’s costing £17.90 per year to own this thing (minus electricity costs which will be negligible. The part of the review I’ll end on is this: it’s a chromebook. If you just want to surf the web, not worry about viruses or malware, want to do internet banking safely, or use the google suite of apps (google docs) to write letters, work with spreadsheets, make notes with google keep – it really is an incredible machine. Will it replace my main machine? Not for more techy things I do e.g virtual machines. But this is perfect for anyone who wants to use it for browsing the web or working with google docs. Cannot recommend it enough.

A good buy
This was a Xmas gift for my daughter so I don’t really know how it will perform yet, she set it up on Boxing Day. It is very slim, lightweight, and a smart blue colour with a subtle sheen, very smart. It doesn’t look cheap like some (it wasn’t cheap!) but looks and feels tons better than my fairly recent Acer. I was pleased, I hope she will be too. I will update when I know more, but overall I think it was a good buy.

Good basic value for money purchase
Emails that could be touch typed.. It’s all very well having the qwerty keuboard, but for anyone over 6 months most tablets are single didget. Also letter writing. . There are still organisations that use post not email.

A solution to an issue.
Initially I had an issue with the item and wanted to send it back. However I found out that Lenovo have changed their keyboard design and have omitted the caps lock on this item. When the start up screen asks you to enter your WiFi code hold down the shift key whilst tapping on the required letter. This method also applies to using capitals in documents. After entering the WiFi code and tapping next (or submit) data will be downloaded and settings applied.I hope this has been useful information.

Utter Garbage
As this is a Chromebook everything is obviously about Google. Which is fine but we tried to set it up for my son with parental controls & it’s locked his gmail account. Now he can’t use the book until they have reviewed his appeal. I work with computers & know what I’m doing. But this is a joke.

Absolute gem – amazing laptop
It only came out in June 2023, therefore not many reviews, but I gave it a shot as I know the quality of Lenovo, and I have had this 179 GBP Lenovo Chromebook now for over a week, and I can say it’s the best buy ever. You can do anything, either Onedrive MS 365 or Google Drive is easily set up, print, scan, work hard and it’s fast, no noise, and simply amazing. I had Lenovo laptops previously, and it’s just as good. Unbevievable, what you can get for that price. I stream Netflix on it as well. It#s not HD but I’m also not a gamer.I usually don’t write raving reviews but this thing will take off. Caution (but this is for all Chromebooks): Zoom lags horribly, but this is not anyChromebook’s fault, I was thinking perhaps Zoom is not capable of making it work? Any other video conferencing tool is working well like Google Meet etc.
