I did think the quality would be better but the pics r a tad grainy. I bought this for the mrs sony mobile with hi-spec camera so i hoped the pics would come out clearly but not so. Its easy to setup and quick. For a mini printer its OK

Compact and lightweight.
Not sure about it yet, still learning about it. It seems to print darker than the photos on my phone. It wasn’t as easy as I expected to set it up. But once I scanned the QR code and downloaded the app (which you then need to register/create an account with before you can start using your printer) it was ready to go. It took a few attempts to print (I had to re-insert the paper), but printed well. I’m hoping that with time and experience, I’ll figure out how to print the pictures to the same brightness as the ones on my phone. All in all, it’s quite nifty. Thanks.

Pictures are not good quality
It’s a great, easy printer; I’ve had a few different variations of this printer and others similar and I will always reccomend them. This printer however, did not print good quality photos at all – all the photos were faded, the colour was off, it would not always print on the full sheet and there were lines going through the page. I used the correct zink paper this printer reccomends as I usually just buy whatever brand is cheapest (they all work the same if it’s zink a the same size) and even that fixed no issues. I would reccomend stretching your wallet that but more and buy a hp sproket instead of the Kodak step instant, they are more pricy but their print quality is far better. I regret not buying another hp sproket after my old one, which lasted 6 years, broke as I dropped it.

Great printer, but has issues with other brand ZINC paper
This is a cute printer, and although as others have mentioned the images are too “warm”, they look very like the Polaroid photos of the 80’s and I quite liked the look of them. Takes about a minute to print an image, but the results are great with a good novelty factor. However, the Kodak app is clunky and buggy and annoyingly the printer wouldn’t accept Polaroid 2×3 ZINC photo paper. Seems to only like it’s own brand, which is irritating. The work-around solution was to use the blue calibration sheet from the Kodak ZINC paper with the Polaroid ZINC paper and that make the printer accept the obviously compatible Polaroid ZINC paper, but really, should you have to do this?

Colours are rubbish
I liked that the prints have self-adhesive backs. They’re a bit smaller than I imagined but it gave me the sizes and I was too lazy to measure. The colours, however, are rubbish. Really washed out and nothing like what your phone screen shows. Really disappointing for a product that isn’t cheap. What’s the point if it can’t do its job properly?

Well Worth the Money
I bought this little printer as I wanted pictures etc for my journal and I’m really glad I did as my Granddaughter and I had so much fun printing stickers. It takes abit of practice to get the hang of it but I would definitely recommend this little printer and I think it is well worth the money.

Love this little printer, just what I needed to print off so many images from my phone for my ‘holiday’ scrapbook. Easy to set up, easy to use and images perfect for what I wanted. Bonus is that this uses the same paper as my instant camera.

Impressive little device!
Arrive quickly, really easy to use, impressed with print & love that they are stickers, expensive to print loads but works great if you just need a few photos. I bought this as my little boys school sent the star of the week home with a teddy & a book they need to photograph themselves with the teddy & what fun they got up to, works brilliantly for this.👌🏻

brought this for my partners craft room, the app is extremely easy to use and connected straight away without fault, the charge has lasted a good week without charge on daily use and still isn’t flat and the quality of the pictures is extremely good considering it being the lower priced item of this type, and is just as good as a standard printer. highly recommend to get quick pictures on the go or for crafting.

Hi, I bought this printer for my daughter’s birthday. I’ve never used it until now, since we decided to print some photos. The colours are all dark. The white looks like a vintage yellow. The green is brown. I tried calling but the number doesn’t work and so does the web site. I would like to know if you can change the printer even if I purchased it in June.A month has passed and still no one has replied to me.

Have contacted customer support for advice…
Love how easy this is to use, how compact and light it is, the cost, concept and connectivity. I was so excited to try it out but sadly my first picture has come out with 3 white lines on it. I contacted the customer service by email straight away, but not heard back yet. I have tried it again this morning and still having the same problem (I was hoping that maybe it was just a first time thing!). So will be waiting for a response but haven’t read about this happening in other reviews – hoping it’s a one off and a replacement will be arranged in time for my holiday and scrapbooking extravaganza!

Super little printer
Bit of a long review. Bought this to print off photos I have taken to create a memory book for my nieces and nephew when we have been out together. Image and colour quality is great for a little printer. Set up was easy, I did initially struggle until I realised I had downloaded wrong app! Once that was fixed, my phone and printer connected straight away. Easy to put the print paper in, make sure to keep hold of the blue carbon paper as this will be needed at times for calibration. Some brilliant features on the app to really make your pictures stand out I havent looked at them all yet. The bundle package is brilliant, case holds the printer and charging cable comfortably, comes with a strap to carry. Came with pack of paper backgrounds you can put your photos onto, just peel off the backing paper and place on background. Also different packs of stickers for different occasions. This would make a perfect present for someone who loves scrapbooking or crafts. The prints come out 2x3cm which are lovely to fit in a wallet or small photo frames. Overall very happy with my purchase. Well worth it’s money.

Handy and something different but picture quality isn’t great
Great because you can print any photo, not like Polaroid where you have to take it when the camera. You can adjust pics in the app or upload an edited picture if wanted. Handy to carry aboutPrint quality is not great, although the pictures might be technically better than a Polaroid, the print isn’t the best and sometimes colours come out a lot darker, pics added above are some of the best I’ve printed, others have been very dark

Easy to use, picture quality not brilliant but perfectly fine
Easy to use and connect to mobile app. It’s about the same size as a small portable hard-drive, and lightweight.Picture quality is great, not brilliant but perfectly fine for a relatively cheap mini photo printer. If you’re looking for something that prints top quality photographs, then a printer that uses non-zinc paper, like ones made by Canon would be better, though they are pricier. To place the photo paper in:Slide back off the printer and place the paper in with the blue calibration card first facing down and then the photo paper on top (back facing down – ie. plain white side facing up)App is downloadable on the AppStore using the QR code found in the quick start guide. There are several other Kodak apps, so make sure it’s the Kodak Step Prints app.NB: if you don’t have the QR code to hand, then simply connect to the printer via Bluetooth via your mobile settings (press and hold power button on the side of printer until white light shows) and it will take you to the AppStore link.Charges via USB, but no plug adapter is included, so will either need to plug directly into a USB charge socket, or use any other plug adapter (phone, camera etc) that has a USB port. Can’t speak for Android, but have had no problems connecting to the app using iOS. There size of the photos are 2×3, so may need to edit photos, but can do so easily in the app which has a useful indicator of what will be printed. There are other editing tools within the app and the ability to add borders too. Also included with the pack are five sticky borders that you can stick onto the photo.Very pleased with this so far! Only downside is that there are only five photos sheets included so will need to purchase more!Edited to add more info:Still going strong several months later – occasionally a thin line will appear on the prints. If this happens, just recalibrate the device with the calibration card. Also, the printer will take any 2×3 zinc paper so it doesn’t have to be the Kodak stuff. Only thing to note here is that you’ll need to keep the original blue Kodak calibration card as the other cards (i.e. Canon do not work).

It’s good when it works
This mini printer is good when it works . It constantly gets jammed , constantly keeps asking for firmware update daily ! I was able to print 13 prints ( before this, 2 prints , left it for the night and came back ) literally had one more print , constant jammed , red light flashing .I gave it two stars as the print is good, when it works. I don’t feel a product should cost as much as £70, when it does not work continuously. I was looking at buying the pink one which was £20 more , thank goodness I didn’t .

Disconnects and slow
Brought this to use at a party but the printer kept disconcerting, was slow to print, found queue pictures and I thought you could connected via Bluetooth think any phone could print but it needs the app and to be set up so just didn’t work for what I wanted. A few prints came out poorly coloured so wouldn’t recommend

Great until..
The printer was great until after printing 80 pages. The printer started to jam. When it eventually got working again, the print quality was so bad, lines through the picture. Picture not as detailed as before. The other con I notice, is when the battery gets to roughly 15%, the printer refuses to print. Had to keep the printer plugged in everytime I was using it. Cause the battery goes down pretty quickly and also the kodak app not the best and needs improvement.Put off from getting kodak printers after this experience. Had to return this printer and very lucky I was still within the return period when the issues started.

Good for price pics not too ntch
EditI’ve had to come back and edit my review after printing only ten pics over a six month period the printer developed a jab it of putting a line down every photo in the same place and not printing the top 5 mm of photo leaving a white line at the top, no amount of trouble shooting fixed it, the Color scale also was off after only a few prints Kodak is unable to be contacted Amazon kindly refunded and allowed me to return due to this so I do t recomend anymoreSo for the price I didn’t expect miracles but I did my research and this was rated higher than the sprocket and ivy. The size is small a little cheap feeling being all plastic. Is easy to use and the apps simple uses micro usb to charge which is a bit annoying as it’s another cable to store, comes with only 5 prints in box so order extra paper. Prints fairly quick only down side is whites look yellow due to the glossy film the prints are a little on the dull or dark side so play with the Color’s and settings to brighten up, the clarity isn’t as sharp as I’d like but this isn’t a top end printer it’s fine for what I want for making labels for Yoto cards and printing little pics,Running costs are fairly cheap approx 45 to 50p a print so cheaper than the sublimation printers by Polaroid.I previously had a pogo that I loved but it died fairly after a year or so of use this is better prints and a lighter model and smaller

Good value for a whole printer and good speed but the paper does seem to jam occasionally so the picture won’t be on the paper properly. I feel like it could’ve been designed to mitigate this, but ,done carefully, it works fine.

Really easy to use
I did a bit of research on these mini printers, and I’m really pleased with my purchase of this one. Easy to set up & use; small, compact & light. I print a photo out each month to put in my diary, and the quality is great for that. The photos are mini but isn’t that the point?! Great set if you want to make your own little photo cards for people too. Battery seems to last longer than other reviewers have experienced, but doesn’t take long to charge either anyway.

Fabulous little printer
I had a Polaroid mini printer years ago and didn’t really use it. This one is light years ahead. So easy to use via the app, speedy and quiet. It’s easy to adjust the print quality and the colours are true to life. I bought it specifically for smaller photos for scrapbook pages but I’m having so much fun with it I’ve just ordered the smaller, shaped sticker paper and I know the grand kids and I will have a great time playing. Delighted with my purchase.

Lovely little printer but unreliable
Sadly I had to return my Kodak step as it was just not printing correctly and I wasted several of the print papers, which are too expensive to waste. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the printer as a whole or just my one but it would be more economical for me to buy a more expensive and more reliable printerThe prints that did come out correctly were lovely though and I really like how they have sticky backs which would’ve been ideal if the prints were not halfway across the page. Also it was really easy to set up and the app was good with various printing options.

Too unpredictable, costly having to reprint the same picture
Have been using this for a while now. Printing results are random and very often missing large parts of the picture, no way to configure this through the app, you just have to hope it turns out correctly. When you consider the cost of print refills, it’s better to look at alternative printers. Would have expected more from Kodak
