Excellent food
Our lab has been on this for some time switching to the senior version when we needed to. He loves it, decent food and it’s good value. My only gripe is that they don’t do the senior versions in large nuggets. He’s a big dog so would be better suited to that.

Great food and great service from Amazon!
This food is great quality. There’s no added rubbish, just proper ingredients and our dog, who suffers with his stomach, loves it. Yes, it’s pricey, but it’s well worth the money.Ours was delivered quickly, but the numpties at DPD tore the bag, spilling a load out and contaminating the rest. In their infinite wisdom they chose to just duct-tape the bag up and deliver it as if nothing had happened.One quick phone call to Amazon and all was resolved though. We were told to simply bin the contaminated half-bag and they’d send us a new one straight away. No quibbles. No fuss.This is why I shop with Amazon. Can’t fault ’em!

Great quality dog food – highly recommended.
My black labrador has done very well on James Wellbeloved adult lamb and rice for years (she’s now 8). We first tried it after reading that it was recommended for dogs with skin sensitivities and irritations – which she had suffered from – but it soon went after we switched her to JW and as she liked it, we’ve kept her on it ever since. But now that she’s 8, we thought it time to swap to the senior version. She’s still very active so I didn’t want a reduced calorie / light version but saw that this was basically the same as the adult one with the addition of joint friendly supplements. Needless to say, she’s still happy and active with no change in weight so we’re all happy.

Irritated stomachs
Neither of my dogs liked or could eat this. It irritated their stomachs, made them sick and they also had horrific runs. After three days I chose to stop feeding them it and reorder the non grain free adult small breed food. Glad to say that all sickness and pooping has ceased and I have two happy dogs again.

James Wellbeloved Senior Lamb and Rice Kibble
Between them, our two Border Collies have 500 grams of kibble every day. The male, 3 years old, 21 kg, and prone to diarrhoea, has 100 grams for breakfast and 200 grams for supper only of kibble. The female, 7 years old and 17kg, has 100 grams kibble for breakfast, and 100 grams kibble plus half a can of meat for supper. Both dogs very readily accept the kibble moistened with water. Both dogs are healthy, have glossy coats and no skin problems, and have plenty of energy. It is no trouble to maintain correct body weight, as it is easy to adjust kibble quantity up or down by a few grams. Though we have used other foods at times, the dogs seem to do best on James Wellbeloved kibbles.

Good for our older dog
We’ve always used Wellbeloved dog food for our rescue dogs, as they often have digestion problems. Now our current dog is an older girl, we’ve switched to the ‘senior’ mix, which she enjoys, especially with ‘gravy’ sachets added to make it a less dry meal. I’ve rated this dog food for value & presentation, but draw the line at sampling it for flavour, so that’s based on my observation of her enjoyment of it…!

Happy dogs
I started my collie on this as he has suffered from pancreatic problems in the past. It is expensive but the difference in my dog has been amazing, he had gone from a soft coat to a harsh staring dry coat, after just a couple of weeks he was back to shining, his poo has become much more solid. Not sure if it would be the same for all other dogs, I just know I’ll never go back to cheap food again. Well worth the expense to see him so happy.

My dog RUFUS who is now 11 years and behaves …
My dog RUFUS who is now 11 years and behaves as a 3 year old has been fed on James Wellbeloved for three years and does exceptionally well on it. I rescued him at 7 years of age when he had a skin condition (sore itchy belly and some times bleeding!) and since changing to the present diet this has virtually disappeared. Also to add – my niece and nephew have a farm/pet shop in Cornwall and they say James Wellbeloved reps. are lovely people to deal with! Thanks.

Fantastic food – this suits my dogs who have been on it all their lives and now they can have it delivered to France where they have ‘retired’! I was dreading having to change their diet at age 12 – or drive back to get it from UK which was the only other option. The very reasonable P&P is well worth it. Dogs seem to like it
I’ve moved three dogs onto this after one seemed to develop intolerance to her previous food. They’ve all benefitted with improvements to the condition of their coats. The one dog I mentioned no longer has hot, red, itchy skin. The dogs eat it with no complaints though one liked a bit of warm water added to make gravy!

Have they changed the recipe?
I always order this food. So when I got this bag I noticed the kibble had become smaller and round like a sphere as opposed to the flat circle I was used to.I went with this food initially to help my dog itching and it worked.However what I have noticed is my dog has started itching again. And she is turning her nose up at the food sometimes.This only happened with this bag. However because of the different shape it makes me wonder if they have changed their ingredients somewhere.Back to the drawing board will have to look for another food now.

Best Food I’ve Ever Used
I tried so many different brands of food for my highly reactive / nervous dog. His behaviourist recommended using low protein and low fat but not all low protein foods are created equal. Some caused my dog to itch constantly, others were mainly maize and made his behaviour much much worse.With this food my dog is much much calmer and he stopped itching all the time. His vet says he’s very fit – shiny coat, bright eyes, perfect weight. We are never going to change foods again.

My pooches love James Wellbeloved food and now they’re getting that little bit older I thought I’d try Senior for them. My Gizmo has skin problems and since using this I’ve noticed her skin has improved (less itchy and flakey) so will definitely continue with the Senior food…even if I don’t want to admit my girls are getting older 😢

Less filler, mor nutrition, very popular with the woofers.
The dogs love it, well the mutts will eat anything. However this meal has more useful digestive ingredients and less rubbish fillers.It has a good aroma too, I serve it with a little water to release the gravy effect, which goes down very well indeed with the Dogs.Used for many years, reliable and various formulas for different aged dogs is very helpful.

I cant say ive tried it but even our ancient dog becomes animated at mealtimes with this product so it must be good! It arrived in excellent time too so the boys didn’t go hungry! Will def order again as being delivered to home was so much more convenient and less backbreaking than collecting from our nearest pet store.

Perfect for my aging Pug
My Pug loves this food…well, as much as she loves any food designed for dogs. She’d rather be eating steaks and chickens, but since i’m not made of money, this is the best I can do for her. I did my research before going for this, because she’s an old girl now and I wanted to make sure her food had all the nutrients she would need. This seemed a good option at the price, and the 15kg bag lasts her months!

Good quality food
The food is great quality, I have been using it now for over 2 years. I use it for my diabetic dog and the other one. I just change flavour every so often but same brand.Item has arrived on time. The only problem Is that when I have open the package the food bag had a slight cut and the air may have got in. I hope it does not affect it freshness.

My Labrador no Lurcher have always been on James Wellbeloved. However, our large local specialist pet store decided to not sell this anymore. So I tried a few different varieties (mainly all imported) but I found too expensive and my dogs were not happy. So started to buy their favourite James Wellbeloved from Amazon. My dog was fed on the food he loves – after Amazon came to the rescue.
My dog is a mutt with an extremely ticklish stomach. It doesn’t take much out of the ordinary to give him the runs. I keep him on this diet and I am pleased that it stabilises him. On my last delivery I had to complain to Amazon that the 15 kgs bag was delivered in a dreadful state. It had been badly torn right through the heavy plastic Amazon bag and then the manufacturer’s bag. It was bound up with the transport company’s tape and as soon as this was removed, all the biscuits spilled out. It was impossible to stop them. Dog started to “hoover” them up with great delight. I told Amazon and the consignment was replaced immediately without argument. The transport company ceased trading within a couple of days and I am not surprised given the condition my order arrived in. It had been mauled somewhere along the line but my thanks to Amazon for prompt replacement. And my dog, who is fixated on food, loves this mixture and it keeps his weight at what it should be.

James Wellbeloved Senior from Amazon
My two dogs are 9 and 12 and both had an unidentified skin allergy when I adopted them from the RSPCA. I was told by my vet that a course of allergy testing could cost hundreds of pounds [each]. So we tried various creams and lastly a low dose of steroids. The steroids worked very effectively, but of course long term use can have adverse side effects.The 12 year old also ate grass every morning to be sick, as 12 is equivalent to 84 in human years I decided she couldn’t be pregnant! So we had another visit to the vet’s, this time a new vet had joined the practice. Straight away she suggested that both dogs may have a wheat allergy and recommended putting them onto James Wellbeloved Kibble. I am so grateful for this advice as the itching and sickness stopped almost immediately.Although the James Wellbeloved KIbble is a bit more expensive than what I used to feed them I get a very good deal from Amazon by making a regular monthly order. Also of course, no more vet’s bills and expensive treatments… so 2 happy dogs… 1 happy owner!

Not hypoallergenic
This is NOT hypoallergenic dog food. If your dog has allergies avoid this. We’d stabilised our lab on a diet that had removed all traces of his allergies. Then made the decision to try and add some variety to his diet by only adding this food. Allergies have come back. Silly decision on our part.

The dogs are happy 🙂
My dogs have eaten James Wellbeloved since their youth and they’re now nearly 12 and 13. I tend to add a bit of boiling water to it to soften it slightly now (then wait a couple of mins to cool) and it makes a gravy too. The biscuits are just a base as I also mix a small amount of something moist in each day, chicken, tuna, veg or wet meat etc. They wolf it down. Both have glossy coats and never have digestive issues on this food. I have a measuring cup so can vary their portions as required depending upon what they are having with it.I used to buy 7.5kg bags at the local garden centre then I discovered I could get it delivered on Amazon. It’s so much more convenient and cost effective to buy the 15kg bags, excellent price too.

Great for our Spaniel working dog
We have a working class Springer Spaniel who is seven years old. She does not work hard as she is a family pet but she can put in the distance with boundless energy when required. Her poo is good and firm never issues unless she gets in the cat litter tray… Her coat is glossy and soft unless she lays in a muddly river! Overall we are pleased with her diet and she prefers the small kibble. Lamb and Rice is a good smell unlike the fish one which we now avoid at all costs!

healthy food for a healthy dog
Our dobermann has been on this virtually all her life and she has never got bored of it. She is always receiving compliments on how healthy she looks. This together with an empty bowl after each feed confirms this. It’s nor the cheapest dog food but its definately the best for our 9 yr old pup
