Inside temp not accurate to reading

I purchased this unit two weeks ago, given enough time to see how it functions here’s what I’ve learned. As you can see by the photo the temperature setting of the fridge will never be the true and accurate temperature of the inside of fridge. It’s usually 3 to 4 degrees different than the true temp. The fridge seems to hold a higher temperature on the two top shelves. I have the temp set at 36 and the thermometer reads 41 or 42. With the thermometer on the lower shelve the reading drops to 37 to 38.It’s a matter of where to place items you want the coldest.Make sure there is plenty of clearance around the fridge because at times when the unit is cycling the sides become very hot. I personally don’t believe any of these types of beverage fridges will keep an accurate temperature. Unless you purchase a commercial unit with with a more powerful compressor your results maybe disappointing.

Keep your drinks ice cold in style

I’ll begin by saying this was a totally frivolous purchase. No one “needs” a fancy beverage fridge. With that said I’ve always really wanted one for no other reason than- they look cool.I began my search originally wanting an authentic RedBull fridge, however unless purchased used they’re not available. So naturally I moved my search to Amazon. In this fridges price range, most only cooled down to mid 40 degrees which didn’t sound very cold.So with that observation I wanted to find a beverage cooler that would get the coldest while still looking aesthetically pleasing.Meet hOme fridge.Pros:-Arrived on time and in ample packaging to remain safe and sound through its journey. I did feel bad for the UPS man who had to lug the large box up 3 flights of stairs, but he did so without damaging the goods which I appreciate.-set up took maybe 5 minutes. The fridge is already assembled unless you need to switch the door hinge from right to left there’s no tools required. The cooling fan inside was loose and I had to tighten the screws. No biggie.-ITS QUIET so quiet I really thought it was broken initially because I didn’t hear anything. Eventually the fan kicked on and it’s a “soft hum” really no different than what you’d hear in a regular kitchen fridge. I’ve seen Karen’s here complaining it was too loud. Same Karen’s who call the police on their neighbor for watching tv above volume 2.-ITS COLD. Like, really cold 🥶-It holds a lot. Exactly how much? I have no idea. It would hold far more than I could ever drink in a single sitting.-It looks very nice. You’ll get compliments and questions for sure. It has an LED light you can turn on or off. The glass front is clear but does appear slightly tinted.-ALL IN ALL I think this is a great value and a nifty item to have in any room. While I’ve only had it set up for a few days it’s so far a 10/10 for me!

Love the refrigerator, but not the damage

Came well packaged but must have been abused by the carrier. Item started and cooled just as stated. Used to store overflow of beverages.

    I really like this fridge

I know that some people would prefer to not have a glass front, but I really do like this. I can see into the fridge before making a selection. I really like that. I don’t care for the fact that the shelves have no little lip on them to keep cans inside the fridge when laid on their side, but apart from that, I really like this fridge.

    Good for what it is

Bought to use as a beer fridge works good other then…- The top shelf does not really get that cold as the lower shelf’s do it’s more like slightly above room temp.-The noise is not that quite you hear almost like a high pitch ring from the compressor or the fan. And the compressor kicks on a lot temp is set to 36 degrees-The glass is double pane so it gives off a foggy hue to itother then that I like it I do wish the shelving was glass then wire rack also it would have been nice for the control panel to be more part of the frame so it’s tucked out of the way can’t fit much in the middle since the fan and controls drop down. And the led light is nice but if full you can’t see much so lights on the middle side would be a nice touch.

    Almost perfect!

Likes everything, but for the fact that there’s no instructions on how to reverse the way the door opens (while designed for it and advertised as such). The plastic cover over the hinge does not inspire confidence and do not feel comfortable in popping it off (looks like a cheap plastic that might break). A miss if you need to use that feature, no issue if okay with the way it comes!

Good little fridge, seller very responsive

We had trouble with delivery with this order and I was initially disappointed because of the delays but I left a message with the seller who remained very responsive throughout the process until we received and installed the unit and worked with us to make everything right. The adjustable shelves are very convenient and the fridge gets good and cold (we had it at 38F initially and it kept temperature well even in humid summer weather). I can’t rate durability yet but it seems solid and runs quietly after leveling, so I have confidence it will be good value.

    Damaged

Receive today and put in. But my husband had to fix it first. The brackets that hold the door were bent. We have to take it apart and bend the back to get the door to line up and close.

Good Product – Great After the Sale Support

I am glad I purchased this beverage cooler for my bar area.In the short time I have owned it it has been good. The only recommendation I would make is that the seller use a different carrier for the delivery. The 1st unit was damaged as the carton was bashed in. The second unit also had some damage to the box but thank goodness it was ok.

    Does not stay cool

Do not buy, every time I see mine I mumble what a piece of junk. I am so mad that I threw the packaging away after opening it. I Followed the directions, let it sit for a day before using. It will not keep the temperature near what it says. Low setting is 34 degrees. It has never gotten below 38 degrees. Right now it is at 41 degrees and it hasn’t been opened for days. It is barely half full. What a waste. Hate to see it because it reminds me of the wasted money. I excepted it to keep my drinks cold, not Luke warm. The light sucks. If anything is on the top shelf, nothing else gets the light rays. It randomly will get hot on the sides and top. Ours is not enclosed in cabinets, I can’t image how hot it would get then. You wouldn’t even know it got hot if you had it in build in cabinets. Save your money unless you like warm beverages.

    THIS IS A GREAT PURCHASE!!!

We have A LOT of beverages in this house. My fiance is addicted to Monster, so that’s a given. He also wants Gatorade. Occasionally he also wants Pepsi. Me? I love juices and coconut water, and cool white wine and beer and seltzers and cold brew coffee and….you see where I’m going with this. We want food in our fridge and a place for our drinks. We even put in a Brita Water filter-the BIG one, so our fridge is free of beverages besides milk and maybe a pitcher of iced tea. We LOVE this. We bought it going on 3 years now ago. It makes NO NOISE WHATSOVER. It keeps the drinks really cold, depending on the temp. Never an issue with any sort of condensation, or not cold enough if you keep it at the right temp. Doesn’t seem to touch our electric bill at all. That said…..the LED light. I KNOW people think these things are supposed to last for like, decades. And I am a light person and I LOVE the light on-ALL.THE.TIME. So…maybe its my fault but now it seems that the light is much dimmer than it was when we first bought the unit. It also appears it’s not replaceable. I am in denial about this, hence me looking up my purchase to see if this issue is something others are having, if there is a fix, etc. Meanwhile, thought I’d drop a review because it really has been an awesome purchase for us, it totally frees up room in our fridge. We love it, we live in an apartment, if and when we are able to buy a home, we would build this thing into the kitchen area or bar area for certain.

Looks beautiful but for us this was a fail

I had high hopes for this model. Spent days going over reviews of many different ones. Knew we just wanted something for extra beverages since we live in the hot desert. When the price went down a few dollars on this one, I saw it as a sign and purchased it. Absolutely no complaints about delivery. This arrived the day after we ordered it (but that’s on the great seller, VidaZen). We took it out of the box and followed the instructions which said to not plug it in for 24 hours. The next day we decided where we wanted it to be in the garage and plugged it into the lowest temp as advised. Within hours, we noticed the sides got VERY hot. This was alarming to me so I called customer service. I chatted with someone who said no, that didn’t sound normal and suggested I raise the temp to the highest and see what happens in an hour. After the chat, I went back out to the garage to raise the temp but it had already gotten cooler. I still did what he suggested, raise the temp for an hour, and then put the temp back down to 38 in another hour or so. I intermittently checked it throughout the afternoon and it was hot again, every time. I thought this is a very dumb purchase if I’m going to spend my time worrying about this thing catching fire. I called the company back. No one was available so I emailed them and said I was sending it back and why. I asked for a refund. Maybe I just hit the bad one in the bunch, but that in combination with the lack of availability to help me (i.e. poor customer service) made me feel like a return was my only option. I’m disappointed but at this price point, this should be a pleasurable purchase and not one I’m constantly worried about.

    Ok. Not great

I like the idea of having this in my home gym. I keep lots of energy drinks and waters in it. That being said I have two complaints. One small one kinda a bigger deal.Complaint 1The door does not close on its own so when I first got it I realized I would leave it partially open a lot thinking I could just push it closed. Then I would come back hours later to see it didn’t close all the way and all my drinks were warm. This door needs to be firmly closed by hand. Not a huge deal but one to get used to.Complaint 2This is a bigger more annoying problem. This fridge will freeze your drinks if placed in the back. I have it set at 39 degrees and it still will occasionally freeze the cans making them distort and have ice build up. Some drinks were ruined when I had it at 35 degrees. I thought 32 degrees was freezing but not in this fridge.Overall I guess I’m happy but the temperature definitely needs to be more accurate.

    Does the job!

Pretty good. It does hold the amount of cans you add but there’s a compressor on the top shelf that if blocked won’t result into good air flow circulation and if you put it at 34 degrees it won’t get cold but bring it up to 37 and it will get cold. If you slam the door it will not close. Must be a gentle close. Learned that mistake by having got drinks

    Quiet, cool and looks great

Got a little nervous reading reviews about how loud this thing can be. Package arrived in great shape, left it upright for 24 hours and followed the instructions. Currently sitting in my garage, full of adult beverages kept at a nice 34 degrees. It isn’t by any means loud so I’m definitely happy with this purchase

Great quality. Not your standard mini fridge.

I ordered this for our kids new teenage playroom. I was looking for a ‘cool’ factor and being able to dispense cold water and soda seemed like just the thing. The reviews on this unit were mostly quite good and I can confirm that this is a much nicer than your typical home store mini fridge. The doors are double pane tempered glass and close very solidly. There are three heavy rubber coated metal racks which slide securely into molded slots on the side. Spacing is OK but not optimal. I opted to use the bottom of the fridge as my first shelf and placed bottles of pop standing up there. The next three shelves are spaced to hold cans. In any event, you are not going to be storing your thanksgiving turkey here– it is designed for beverages and perhaps some smaller items. The unit is packed unbelievably well– someone took a great deal of time to make sure this arrived in one piece. And yet it is easy to unpack–once you cut off the plastic shipping straps, you can lift the box straight up, leaving the fridge standing on the separate foam box bottom. Clever. And a good back saver. It’s a fridge so the instructions are straightforward. Plug it in, set the temp with the digital key pad and determine whether you want the light on or off. Unlike a full size fridge (and because this has a glass door) the light can be left on like a display case in a grocery store. It is attractive. You can switch the door from handle on the left to handle on the right with a screwdriver. It comes set up to open on the left. The unit came to temp in about an hour. There is a slight compressor noise however it is minimal. Very happy with the purchase.

    Great mini-fridge

We recently purchased this to replace our old mini-fridge that stopped working. Overall it’s a great fridge. It will easily fit a few cases of drinks in it, cools very well, and I think it looks great with the glass door compared to a lot of fridges available. It has a light inside, but you have to turn it on manually. I wish it turned on and off automatically when you open and closed the door though. But it’s a small complaint. The only thing I will mention is to read the instructions. It emphasizes that you need to keep it standing upright and outside the box BEFORE plugging it in for the first time. It may arrive to you standing up, but there’s no way to tell if it’s been on its side at any point. Trust me, just let it sit upright for 24hrs before using it. All the buttons inside are touch-sensitive. There are four buttons. Power, Light On/Off, and two buttons to lower and raise the temperature. The only other thing I’ll mention is for some reason it took a few days for it to really feel cold. Maybe about 3. I”m not sure why, but that was our experience. Overall, great fridge. I can’t speak for reliability since we’ve only had it for about a month and a half, but so far so good.

    Great Looking & Functional

I read a lot of the bad reviews before purchasing this fridge. Some said the shelves aren’t quite wide enough and they were falling down. When we got the unit I pushed each rack to either side of the fridge while pressing on them. Nothing collapsed and they seemed wide enough. I assume this was a design flaw that has already been fixed. The fridge design is very slick and modern looking. The LED light was another item folks complained about in some reviews. Is the light super bright? No, it’s not but it’s functional and enough to see items. If you pack drinks across the top rack then you can block the light distribution coming down into the other shelves but if your fridge is that packed then you probably use it all day when you can just see through the glass door anyway (lol). The fridge is whisper quiet. The only noise I heard was when I put a Keurig on top. We just put a table mat underneath and positioned it better and the vibration from the Keurig stopped. We followed the instructions to leave the fridge in an upright position for 24 hours before plugging in. It also says this on the box so follow the directions. This is for the compressor to work properly. Another tip that was mentioned is to first let the fridge cool down without drinks in it. Once the fridge is to temp, put already cool drinks in. This also greatly helps the compressor to not be over strained immediately. The other item I saw people complain about was how many drinks can fit in the fridge. Because this is for convenience purposes I’m totally happy with the amount of space. It you are maxing it out and disappointed that more drinks can’t fit you might just need a larger fridge altogether! Of course you can remove a shelf for taller drinks as needed. Our main reason for buying this fridge is to initially use it near our guest bedroom for elderly parents to be able to make a cup of coffee in the morning and have bottles of water and drinks on hand. After they head back home we will move this sleek fridge into our theatre room for beverages and snacks while watching movies. As an fyi – the unit comes with a two year warranty and we purchased the separate Allstate insurance to cover it for five years for only $7 more. If we get five years out of this guy it will have served it’s purpose and then some!

    Poor shipping materials

The fridge itself is great. Slightly louder than I was hoping. Drinks are very cold. Good value product in my opinion. I removed a star because the packing materials are not suitable for the product. Partly to the fault of the carrier, as it was delivered upside down despite clear labels saying to keep upright. However, the packaging materials were also not thick enough for an item this heavy. There were multiple dents & deformities. The lower hinge was completely bent out of place from shipping damage resulting in the entire door being separated. I decided it would not be worth the hassle to repack and return so with some effort I was able to self remedy the deformation and reattach the door.

    Nice fridge.

I must have read wrong about the size of this, because it appeared way smaller than the other types and brands I’ve viewed locally but were(I thought) the same size.At any rate, it works well, cools well, and looks nice too. I recommend getting the platform thing for it as you can level it so much better than you would without it. It makes it look better as well.

    Excellent Product For Reasonable Price

I was looking for a beverage refrigerator since my counter depth refrigerator doesn’t have much space especially during holidays or parties. This is just perfect for me. It came quickly, was very well packed and easy to set up. Please note that it is packaged so you just LIFT off the boxes. You don’t have to turn it or set it on it’s side. Mine had no damage from shipping. We let it sit for 24 hours and then removed the interiror packaging and plugged it in. I set up the last shelf a little higher to accommodate bottles which made one short shelf where I put water bottles laying down. I can get 6 on that shelf. I fit in lots of cans and several bottles. We plugged it in and set the temperature at 34. I was very disappointed when it was still 48 an hour later. However, I checked the temperature button and realized that it was set at 48. That button response so quickly. It also reflects the temperature you set it for, not the temp it is. We have had it several days and it is perfect. It is very quiet and throws off little heat. Please note that the light has blue tape over it. I like that you can turn off the light if you don’t want it. This was the size that works for me. I was very happy with this purchase.

    Very quiet and cold

I’m pretty impressed by this little fridge. It runs very quiet and gets the drinks into the mid 30’s which is perfect. The fit and finish are also pretty good for the price. One of the biggest improvements you could make to this fridge would b installing some led strips on the sides (like retail merchandisers have) to really light up the inside. Otherwise the light is pretty dim.

    Comes alive with aftermarket lighting

The media could not be loaded.

I share other people’s complaints that the shelf structure is a little awkward, but for the money this fridge accomplished everything I wanted – it adds some luxury to my study and keeps my drinks at a consistent 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s also held up well over the past couple of years. The stock light leaves a lot to be desired though. I finally ordered some strip lights to install on the door and now it looks stunning. There’s enough space on the door to mount a self-adhering strip without compromising the door’s seal. The power cable slipping under the rubber gasket doesn’t seem to be letting out any cold air either. If you do this look for a striplight with some silicone coating protection so it doesn’t short in the event of a spill. You only need 8.5 ft of length.

We absolutely love this. We previously had a mini fridge that gave off a lot of heat to keep it cool. Not this one. We have it under our cabinet and the counter is barely warm/nearly warm temp. Our drinks get super cold and we’ve had a few blow-up due to freezing! That’s a good thing because we can control it. Highly recommend this little fridge and would definitely purchase it again. Fits a ton of drinks!

    Not bad, but not accurate.

Lets start with what I like, and for readability I am going to omit things that this fridge has in common with a lot of other fridges, like the stainless door, design, etc.I like the noise level. It’s audible, but not annoying, and no where near as loud as my other Haier mini fridge. Which sounds like a piece of industrial equipment in comparison. The fan is also basically silent unless get very close. Easily annoyed people will be annoyed with it, and it will be noticeable in your bedroom in the middle of the night, but it’s fine for a kitchen or basically anywhere else. Mini fridges are not silent, but this one is actually pretty good from my point of view. What I don’t like. The temp setting is not accurate at all, and is very misleading. I’m not sure if this is an issue with my specific unit, but I’ve had it setup and running for a while and it’s never hit the intended temp. It never goes below 37-38 degrees(I tried multiple thermometers), shoots up over 40 the very second you open the door(sorta understandable), and then takes an hour to come back down below 40. If you do more than just look at this fridge. It will not stay cold. The fan. The fan makes noise, and that’s about all it does. Placing a hand behind the fan. Can barely tell that it’s doing anything. It’s also pointed directly into the back of the fridge so that any air coming out just smashes into the back of the fridge and stops. It does not really circulate air around inside the unit, and I believe this is one of the issues with performance. The cold plate/heat exchanger. The cold plate in the back clearly does get cold, just enough to freeze the condensation that forms, but it has very little thermal mass, and no airflow over it. While the exterior of the unit gets noticeably warm. The exterior gets hot. It has to, that’s normal, but not only does one of the sides get kinda warm. Both sides get fairly warm, and so does the top! You can not place heat sensitive items directly onto the top of the fridge, and I believe this is another contributor to the unit not cooling adequately. The exterior is so warm on all sides that the heat may be leeching back in, and that is preventing the unit from reaching the desired temp. Because it is trying. It does run quite a lot.Runs a lot. The unit has been trying to reach it’s intended temp, but even when left empty it simply can’t get there. I added drinks, and waited another 8 hours, and performance is the same. It still just hovers around 38-37 degrees.Minor gripes that are a bit nit picky and not as important, but I will mention them anyway. The controls feel cheap and flimsy, the temp display can’t be turned off, the glass(I did try cleaning it, but it’s not dirty.) has this foggy look to it when the interior light is on. It’s not as bad as it looks in the pictures, but it is there. There was a small dent in the back of my unit. Barely noticeable. In the end. It’s kinda functional, but not as advertised, and does not actually fill my need. I got a refund and I’ll try a more expensive unit.

    Mostly meets expectations

Per instructions that came with this beverage cooler, I let it sit unplugged for 24 hours. I then plugged it in for another hour on the highest temp setting which is 50 without putting anything in it. Per a suggestion from one of the many many reviews I read, I then put in already chilled soda and beer cans just to get its start up nice and smooth without initially over taxing the compressor. I placed a properly working, well calibrated digital thermometer on the top shelf and set the temp for 37, recommended for a refrigerator. I let it sit overnight without opening the door. Temp never went lower than 45. I then moved the thermometer to the lowest level and left it alone for another 24 hours. It went down to 42 and stayed there. The display says 37…but it just doesn’t make it that far down. A drink cooled to 42 to 45 is nice and cold to me, so no complaints there…just that the unit doesn’t cool to what the display says. Some reviews mentioned objectionable noise. Mine is super quiet, so I’m happy about that. There are 6 shelf rests, each about 3.5 inches apart from the next. And, there are 3 removable shelves. There were comments about shelves being narrow and not stable. Mine are the right width and stay put nicely. The shelves also have a “lip” inthe back to help keep the cans from sliding too far and touching the back wall which causes freezing and can explosion…so a nice touch. If all you put in there are 12 oz cans, then maybe you can store up to the advertised 120 cans. But if you have taller cans or want to store 500 ml water bottles, you’ll have to move shelves which reduce the available height of the other shelves where you can only lay them down on their side…so way less than 120. But even with this limitation, you can still fit a good number of drinks in there. I was never going to put 120 drinks in there anyway. The style is pretty nice, so no complaints about the aesthetics. You can’t see the display with the door closed, unless you crouch all the way down. Interior light is way up and is blocked by upper shelf drinks, so not very helpful, but also not a deal breaker. I purchased the 5 year appliance warranty suggested by Amazon as well as the furniture dolly on wheels. It helps moving it as needed, and allows for better air circulation and makes cleaning underneath a breeze. Despite its shortcomings , I recommend it. I will update the review if something changes along the way.

Adds a unique touch to our kitchen

Recently renovated our kitchen and decided to replace a standard wall of cabinets to a beverage bar.Side note: this was ideal as we bought a new fridge that is counter-depth and we have a lot less room in our fridge now then we did before. My one complaint is that the back of the fridge does not have a cover plate where the compressor is. I reached out to the vendor and they claimed that this is by design for venting purposes but I would think they can still vent it properly without keeping the back exposed. This fridge fits tons of drinks and keeps them nice and cold. Have had it for about 2 months now and no issues so far. Will update my review if anything changes.

I ordered 2 mini fridges. The first one I opened was in perfect condition. The second one, the door is not attached. When I tried to attach the pins are too far apart. How can this be fixed?- They sent a replacement immediately. Had it within 2 days! They were kind and quick to respond to every message. Highly recommend

So far so good with a couple of issues

Really nice looking however the glass door is not 100% clear as others have indicated. It looks as though it has a protective plastic over the glass but I’ve checked and it does not. It does fog up pretty easily as well. Works well enough for our needs so have kept it.

    Poor shelf design

Product looks nice. I wish light went off when you close the door. It is either on or off. The main complaint is that the shelf spacing is bad. You can’t stand up a bottle of water without loosing a shelf for soda. If they gave more options for shelving then you could maximize the capacity of the fridge. 120 can my a_s.

    The one you need

The media could not be loaded.

Sincerely, I’ve been reading all the comments and I have been doing some research regarding this type of refrigerators and I find out this one which is I assume this one should be be better. Finally, I purchased this one and I’m using this about the week and I’m very happy with this product. In some comments I saw they saying it’s not calling enough it’s making lovely noise there’s no space. Depends what you wanna put inside. There is a lot of space inside, it’s cooling more than enough to be cold, and I would love to tell you more it’s more than cold than you think. So if you wanna buy something similar, don’t think about this just do your purchase. I understand maybe some of them not being lucky with this fridge, but not all of them. Maybe some of them was defected. So just do your choice and enjoy.

Didn’t match advertisement expectations, but overall a nice fridge

Ive done hours and hours of researching and comparing mini fridges and came to the conclusion a “perfect” mini fridge does not exist. Each style has their pros but also their cons. That being said, I settled for this one for it had the best ratio of 4/5 star reviews compared to 1/2 star reviews. So a couple of takeaways from this fridge:1) Shelving was my biggest concern before buying this based on other people’s stories. IDK if homelabs has heard the complaints or I simply got lucky, but the racks are quite sturdy and stable! They are plenty wide enough.2) Noise: very quiet with a slight hum. its 15 feet away from my bedroom and I sleep perfectly fine at night.3) Temperature: Again, based off other peoples reviews the fridges don’t get as cold as the build in thermometer says it is. so I bought my own and at the coldest setting (34 degrees) the top shelf sits around 47-48 while the bottom shelf sits around 43. This is with the top rack holding 10x12oz beers and the 2nd top rack holding 5 16oz monsters. The beers are cold enough for me personally that I won’t care in a few weeks, maybe even days shoot. MY problem is they are advertising it to get as low as 34. This is probably my biggest knock on the fridge if I had to be picky4) Spacing: As of right now my fridge currently has…Top rack: 5 beers across, 2 rows deep (10 total)Upper Rack: 5 monsters laying sidewaysLower Rack: 6 assorted bottles and cans across, 4 deep (24 total)Bottom Rack: 6 beers across, 2 rows deep (10 total)The top rackyou can squeeze 6 rows across but that leads to most of the cans falling FORWARD (not shelves falling themselves) when trying to reach for the one you want. If you plan on storing bottled beer, this basically eliminates 1 shelf of presentation. My upper shelf can only fit bottled or canned beers sideways, thus hurting the “presentation” of selection of beers one may have. My lower shelf (with bottles) is my only truly full rack with 24 cans+ bottles of beer. The bottom shelf you can squeeze in 6×3 beers because of the compressor, but the front row will be pushed to the most front part of the fridge, risking them falling out when you open the door. Now that’s still a total of 44 beers which is more than plenty for me by myself so I am perfectly happy and content, but they could’ve done better with maybe 1/3 in wider spacing in the top shelf or maybe more shelf sliding options to accommodate bottled beers.Overall totally happy with my selection! Just might be a bit wise to drop down any godlike expectations of this fridge! If they didn’t advertise this with such high expectations, I would have no problems giving a 4 or even a 5 star review.

    Poor Shelf Design

This beverage cooler is very nice to look at but there are problems. First off, if you want to change the door from opening from the right (standard) to the left it is quite a job. The plastic cap that covers the three bolts is nearly impossible to get off without prying it off and scratching the black finish. The instructions are basic at best and do not give you full details. Once you remove the cap and the door hardware, it leaves a white residue that I was not able to get off without using a solvent (Goof Off). If that wasn’t frustrating enough the shelving is very poorly designed and will not allow efficient space for any bottled beer or soda. The top shelf rails are completely worthless and cannot be used at all due to the very large cooling apparatus – not even sure why there are rails for the shelf when clearly it will not allow the shelf to clear the apparatus. If you are only planning to put cans in this cooler then it should be fine, if you want to use any bottles your capacity drops dramatically. Finally, the light functionality is a hard-on or off, they didn’t make it so the light turns on when you open the door – bad design! Time will tell if it does a good job cooling the beverages, if it doesn’t I will surely return this item.

    Great fridge, beware shipping damage

Keep in mind Amazon will not let you return this item because it uses a flammable refrigerant.Mine came with a quarter size dent, half an inch deep in the side. There is nothing i can do about this.Given that it uses a flammable refrigerant, but also just generally, I’m concerned the coils could be weakened where the dent made contact with the coils. It works, so presumably the coils are holding the correct pressure, but this will be something that could effect both the longevity of the item and the safety… this went into a small room with a decent amount of electronics.Besides that, it’s great. We had one of these at work and i was so impressed that i bought one here. It’s very sturdy. When you first get it you have to thoroughly wash the inside with warm soapy water because the offgassing of the plastic is quite strong and if you don’t clean it thoroughly, well, i was able to still smell it on the cans of beverage. A lot of new stuff is like this, just needs to be cleaned while the inside is warm, maybe a couple times if your nose is like mine. All the features are in the description, its a great little fridge. I haven’t been disappointed with the racks because it’s doing what i need it to do.Am i happy with it? Yeah, but. Based on the damage, and since amazon won’t allow returns, i think i should receive a 50 dollar credit or discount. You’re paying a bit of a premium for this fridge, and the dent can’t be hammered out and it would cost more than fifty to have it inspected so 50 is a reasonable ask.

    I love this little fridge!

I was looking at all of the reviews to try and find the perfect refrigerator for my undermount cabinet build. I finally decided on this little guy after watching a few videos and reading reviews. This fridge has a reversible door, and is super quiet. The shelves seem sturdy and are able to hold without any problem, the beer or soda I have on them even when they are completely full. It will hold cans 4 deep. The front door feels thick and well build. I sandwiched the fridge between two cabinets and put EPP foam on each side. If it was going to rattle when the compressor kicked on, mine won’t because of how I mounted it. I would recommend this fridge to anyone looking for an above the counter or under the counter fridge.

    Great little fridge

I was looking for a mini fridge for wine after our wine fridge crapped out. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a wine fridge and found this one. Most reviews were good. But one review sold it for me. It suggested setting the fridge unpacked for 24 hours before plugging in. Then wait 24 hours plugged in before loading it with drinks. I followed that suggestion with it set at 40 degrees (it will set lower temp) 12 hours later the wine is really cold; to cold so I turned up the temp. So this fridge works great for wine and if you (like me) want cold drinks. Don’t hesitate to buy this one, it is well worth the money. If something changes sometime soon down the road, I will update. But for now I am very happy with this fridge.

    Comparison

At the time of this review I have in the past month purchased this hOmeLabs fridge as well as an IDENTICAL one under the manufacture name Honeywell. I repeat, IDENTICAL with exception of the name on the front, so save yourself (at the time of this review) $85 and find the Honeywell one, although both have jumped up in price since I bought them. CURRENTLY, hOmeLabs is at $334.99 and Honeywell is at $249.99. I only gave it 4 stars bc the shelves and beverage arrangement options can be a little quirky depending on how you want them stored. Good luck and happy hunting!

    Water pool up

Had it plugged it and running for about 3 weeks now and noticed some water pooling up on the bottom shelf. Looks like it may be coming from the auto defrost setting it has is my only guess. There are frozen water drips on the back wall so I’m assuming it’s defrosting. It’s not a lot of water and I have been checking it every morning so not a huge impact but still something to take in consideration. Aside from that, I have no complaints!

Came damaged with hole in the back and dent on the front.

I was finally able to unpack my refrigerator last night to give to my husband for his birthday. I noticed that there was a hole in the back of the unit. It matched up with the hole in both boxes that it came in. I had to plug it in and use it because it was the only gift I had for my husband, I thought if the unit is still in working condition, I could still keep it because the hole was in the back although I did wonder if it was going to affect climate because I wasn’t sure what it did damage inside there. But later that evening after I packed it with his favorite beverage, I noticed a big dent on the front as well. I understand this is a good company to work with so I’ll contact them for a replacement. Hopefully I will be able to keep this one until the new one comes. Other than that I think it’s a cute unit and exactly what i expected. It is a tad smaller than I imagined but it definitely hold 120 beverages.!

Makes a lot of noise until it cools down. Sounds like one of those old fluorescent lights when a ballast was about to go out. Nice Fridge but Falsely Advertised – DOES NOT HOLD 120 CANS AS ADVERTISED

Really disappointed when you purchase something that is blatantly and falsely advertised. I had looked at several mini fridges, hoping to pay the right price for the right size and that would hold the amount of drinks we would like to have on hand when the family stops by, which is often. The advertisement in the headline indicates this fridge holds 120 cans of soda: “LARGE CAPACITY BEER & WINE CHILLER – Under counter beverage cooler with large, internal storage design is equipped with 3 adjustable and removable chrome shelves. Drinks organizer conveniently holds up to 120 standard sized soda or beer cans, or several bottles of wine”Well, take a look at the pick I provided. We used the three shelves provided, with “standard sized soda” cans. We were able to put in 72 cans, using each shelf from front to back. We are short of fitting the full 120 cans by 48 cans. Even if we took the 3 shelves out and stacked all cans one on top of the other, from bottom to top, I don’t think we could get another level of cans in. However, if we could, that would only be another 20 or so cans. The bottom shelf only holds 12 cans. There is NO WAY this fridge can even come close to holding 120 REGULAR SIZE SODA CANS.In all other aspects, so far, knowing we just opened it last night and plugged it in today, it seems to be an ok fridge. It will hold enough to get soda out of our standard kitchen fridge. However, very disappointed in the fact they falsely advertise the size and capacity. If I had known I wasn’t even going to be able to hold 100 cans, I would have focused on paying the same or slightly more for a fridge that would hold the full 120 cans.BUYER BEWARE….Nov. 3 UPDATE: You need to be careful when shutting the door on this one. If you casually shut it you may end up not getting a proper seal and the door may spring back open slightly, but an inch or so. You need to make sure you are giving the door a little pressure when shutting and ensuring it remains shut before you walk away.On the flip side, it does keep soda cold. But I still can get over the fact they falsely advertise the capacity and still get away with it. They are doing nothing to change the ad description and doing nothing to reimburse all customer who have already paid for a fridge that is suppose to hold 66% more cans than they advertise. Seems like a 40% refund should be issued to all customers. Changing my rating to a 1 Star overall.
