Fun with so many options!
Love the many, many choices of color and light patterns. These will be year round outdoor lights that we can use to be festive for every holiday and event!We change them up on every game day to cheer on our team. GO BILLS!One star down because the initial unwrapping and untangling of the light strings was not fun but once up and running, they’ve been great!Would definitely buy again, and would love an option with a smaller bulb size.

Great buy. Starting to become a yearly tradition
Ordering these lights is starting to become a yearly tradition for me. Last year I had ordered 2 48ft strings and 2 96 foot strings and they are still working great.This year I decided that I needed 2 more 96 foot lights to expand the collection.Not to much to say about them other then they simply work and anyone who has seen them has liked them.The 2 48 foot string lights I ordered previously are under a carport with limited exposure to the elements. The 2 96 foot string lights that I have hanging for a year still work with no issues. I do have the power adapter enclosed in a water proof box.I live in an area that sometimes gets decent amounts of wind. So, I did opt to use Zip ties when hanging these lights from the guide wire as extra support in addition to the plastic clip it came with. The clip seems sturdy, but I personally felt more comfortable taking the extra precaution knowing they would be exposed to higher winds occasionally.As for the app for these lights. It does everything I need it to. There are some things I wish it did better, but I also have indoor smart lights from one of their competitors and I’ve had the same thoughts about their app.

I think these are great. I just wish you could string more than 2 sets together. They aren’t super bright, but they are bright enough. The app is a bit clunky, but I love that you can change the color of every bulb if you want.

Christmas Win!
The instructions stated the adaptor is not weatherproof though it is called and outdoor item. Based on the construction, the rest of it definitely appears to be well suited for outdoor use. I would ensure the ac adaptor/plug is protected in some fashion. This is the only reason I have not given these 5 stars. The app is very easy to use, and I am working through understanding some of the customization. However, if you are looking for something that is easy to set up, assign a color (which is customizable) to each bulb, and have the ability to control from an app, you will be happy with this product.

Fun!
I love these lights. You do have to make sure you use a sturdy hanger. I used cup hooks every other bulb. So much fun and convenient to just change the color as each holiday changes. Personalize-change hue, brightness, tint- even decide bulb count! I never take them down. I don’t know about long term durability but I’ve had these up since before Halloween and on every night. No problems so far!

Govee Wins Again!
Quality, performance, Ease of use and Features. Whatever Govee product I have ever purchased, those are the words that come to mind. They work, and work GREAT! They also last….seriously. Yes, they cost more than some, but if you buy cheaper, please remember to add Bupropion or aspirin to your cart, because you are bound to have headaches if they are not Govee…just sayin’.

it feels a little bit like Christmas
for years, I have different boxes of old worn out Christmas lights that don’t work all the way through the strand. Earlier versions of LED Christmas lights are a huge disappointment and expensive to boot. I saw this during a sale and decided to give it a try. best Christmas lights I’ve ever owned. They are well-made and have really cool functions. You can even create your own lighting scheme, or use the dozens and dozens of presets that come with it. You have to download an app, but it is very simple to download and even simple to pair with the lighting system. Couldn’t be happier.

If you have Govee lights, you need to add this to your collection. So cool and fun. Used these for Christmas. The color selection is anything you want. Even has a pre set color selection for emotions/ sports teams. I don’t think my wife will let me keep them up all year though.

Great lights.
Got the lights the other day. Removed from box and plugged them in. All lights worked very well. Color changing on the lights through the app worked well. Lots of different colors you can choose from. I like that you can sync to music. The bulbs are not real bulbs, they are a white plastic which I’m sure will hold up a little better in the weather. I won’t be able to install these lights until summer comes around in 2024. So, I won’t be able to return them if something does go wrong. If they happen to stop working, I’m hoping the company will work with me. They look well-made and I’m hoping the last a long time. When weather warms up, I’m planning to put them on my back deck. The lights are bright and looked great when I tested them in the house.

Great set of outdoor bulb lights
Pros: Very easy setup with the Govee app. Google/Alexa integration when you link the accounts so they can be turned on/off and changed by anyone using their voice. No longer have to keep a white and colored set of lights around, nor mess with a timer since you can set that with Govee or Google/Alexa. Can vary the lighting significantly, change patterns, etc., and the app includes preset scenes to choose from, such as holiday lighting. Ability to change colors/patterns justifies using them elsewhere throughout the year outside of holidays. Clip on the side of the bulb allows for (carefully) clipping to a standard lighting clip that slides under shingles (though I would avoid stressing the plastics in cold weather as I assume they become more brittle).Cons: As others have noted, the AC plug does not appear to be waterproof. For now, I put the connection into a waterproof electrical box and tucked it to the side.

I used to have string LED lights. They simply were not bright enough. Also, no automation. Had to use a remote. Not these!Bright. Unlimited colors and patterns. Bulbs are durable, wire is thick but pliable. Love them. Would not consider another. Plus, holiday pricing made them a terrific buy.

Not truly waterproof but outstanding customer service.

Overall I’m very happy with these lights and the customer service has been fantastic. Out of the box the lights are not waterproof enough to withstand Florida rainstorms, but will a few extra steps they are holding up well.PROS:* Plenty bright. I have 4 strands (60 bulbs) hanging above my 600 sq. ft. pool deck and they provide pleasantly-bright mood lighting. They’re not as bright as a flood lights or work lights, but they’re bright enough to cook on the grill without any other lights on.* The “bulbs” are plastic and have a nice uniform color when lit. They were easy to hang — very lightweight and tough enough not to crack when dropped on the concrete floor.* Highly customizable colors and patterns — each individual light can be set to its own color.* Bluetooth connectivity from iPhone to the lights works great from anywhere in the yard and inside the house.* Very responsive customer support is available from directly within the Govee mobile app. I reported issues twice and both times they shipped me replacement lights free of charge within a day.CONS:* The power cord/wireless receiver is not at all waterproof.* Water leaked into the bulbs on two occasions, permanently damaging the lights. (Govee replaced the lights both times.) See notes below — with a few minor changes they are holding up well.* The mobile app is not super user-friendly.* The animation effects are not subtle. If you’re accustomed to individually-addressable LED strips, these don’t have the same degree of control or fast refresh rate to mask noticeable steps when fading between colors.WATERPROOFING SUGGESTIONS:* Put the power cord in a waterproof enclosure or keep it completely away from rain. I put mine in a sockit box and have never had problems. The wireless signal is plenty strong to go through the box.* Don’t use the built-in hanging clips. The “bulbs” are lightweight plastic but the housing for the LED is relatively heavy, so the bulbs are prone to hanging sideways. This can cause water to leak into the housing and fry the LEDs. Hanging the lights with a wire tie on both sides of each bulb keeps them hanging nice and straight.* Wrap plumber’s pipe thread tape on the bulb to keep water from leaking in.

My first Christmas Lights on the House!
Overall, very happy with my purchase. Better than I hoped for. I had a hard time seeing from the reviews and videos on YouTube just how bright these would be, and I was worried they would be dim. Although the lights are 3 feet apart, I knew that from the specs, and I bought 2 of the 96 feet strands so that I could shorten them with zip ties between each light, to get the distance down to 18 inches. Looks great and that is what I think a perfect spacing now.Pros:-Application comes with a ton of really cool preset lighting scenes to choose from-LED lights are bright-The price, I mean, why wouldn’t you buy lights with this many features and ability to independently control each LED color? You would easily spend just as much buying dumb lights at any of the big box retail stores that don’t do much of anything other than turn on and off.Cons:-The lights are about 3 feet apart.-I am still figuring out the application, but so far, having problems with a couple of things: The lights when put into a group want to connect over bluetooth instead of Wifi, so can only control them locally with phone and the automation configuration doesn’t seem to work consistently. When configuring the lights wifi, it wants the settings on my ihpone… which means I have to connect my phone to my 2.4Ghz band instead of my 5Ghz which is annoying. It is kind of odd really.-Not so easy to figure out how to customize your own lighting scheme

Excellent product
These lights were pretty awesome with multiple features. You can program each and every light with a ton of different color options, it also has a mode that allows them to take music from your phone (or whatever device you connect to them) and they will blink to the beat. The only complaint (and it’s pretty mild) is that the lights are spaced too far apart, so I had to double back on the front of my house so that they weren’t spread so far apart. If you place them too close together you end up with long black loops hanging, just not real esthetically pleasing.

Great customer service at Govee
I have been using two of the 90ft lights for about a year. The lights works just like new, I was not expecting the thin cord to last long here in Florida since I have them installed in a way that is forcing the wires apart but they still works just like new. The adapter of course is not waterproof and one adapter got damaged and I conatacted Govee to see if I could get a new adapter even if it’s out of warranty and they sent me not just the adapter but the whole package with light string.

Not So Waterproof
**Updated from 1 star to 4 stars**I contacted Govee and they shipped a new power supply/controller to replace the broken power supply/controller. It is apparent that you need to place the power supply/controller into a waterproof box or keep it from getting wet.I bought these outdoor lights to string up while we camp. We camp nearly every weekend at a State Park campground and lighting up your site is a nice, pleasant addition to our campsite. I used them the first weekend with no problems (no rain). I used them this weekend and it had rained. Within one hour of the rain starting the lights quit working. When I checked the lights the next morning, the lights simply no longer work. I assume the power supply fried somehow due to the rain. Thes outdoor lights are IP65 Waterproof and should be able to withstand a rainfall event.

Bright patio lights
These light are great for lighting up our patio when it is dark. We set the timer to light up the patio for when we go out in the morning with our dog and it lights the area better than we were expecting. There is large spacing between the light but one white it lights up the area great! The color changing is fun addition for holidays. The plug is not weather proof so we went to HomeDepot and got an outlet cover for a few dollars to protect it from the rain and snow. It worked great even when the temperature was below 0.

Easy to install, setup and control. Look fantastic
These were super easy to install. Plug them in and go. The app downloaded quickly and I was able to jump right in and connect it to my lights.I am running 3 cases of these lights right now in my Arcade.I can do a basic link in the app where I can apply a design across all of them.The linked feature doesn’t give you the ability to do the moving lights across all the strands with one button push, but I can set each individually without any trouble.There are so many features for the lights, each bulb can be controlled individually, you can match colors with your surroundings, change brightness, and more. Tons of features packed into a small product.My partner doesn’t generally like products like this that use apps to run, but this is a winner and I will be getting more.We haven’t used these outdoors so I can’t attest to whether or not they hold up in a wet environment

Versatile product
I had hope and low expectations with the Wi-Fi connectivity on the string lights but it’s been a great product. Time will tell if they last more than a year, so far so good. I followed past review advice and wrapped every bulb cover threads with pipe tape and I covered the control box to keep it dry so I can’t answer if the product is waterproof or not. There’s so many light patterns and the options are endless. There’s preset color patterns and custom that you can save. Bulbs can even be turned off individually if needed unlike the others that are on or off. Overall a great product!

Variety is key. But navigation is challenging.
I really like this product. The ability to do different things with your lights is so nice. However, I had to YouTube instructions on how to navigate the app. I still have some difficulty with the app. For instance I have 2 strands that save the settings I put in place but one strand I have to correct nightly. I will be doing more YouTube-ing to get things right

Fun Programable Light Set

Bought this light set for the holidays and they look great. Love the preprogrammed display settings which makes this set suitable for year round use. There are many scene each with each pallet of colors. You have an infinite number of colors for which you can program each light in the string. My only complaint is that they could be a little brighter, so you would have more headroom in this regard. It would also be nice if you could program each on/off schedule with it’s own display setting, so they would be able to display different colors in the morning from what they were in the evening. I like the fact that that this set consists of larger bulbs than the small lights typically found on strip lighting. At night they provide a more dramatic and soothing effect than the previously mentioned strip lights. The app is great and easy to use.

These lights are so easy to use, put up, and remove (if wanted). They are like the cliff notes of Christmas Lights. Anyone can put them up. And fun. You install an app on your phone that controls the time they are on and off and the color and blink speed you want to use. You could leave these on all year. Worth the money!!

Really nice ambiance lights outdoors
Rather than spend $20+/foot installing permanent lights on our screen cage, I installed this two-string kit. Not as bright as permanently installed lights may be (I think), but CERTAINLY less pricey. Overall pretty happy with the lights. Multicolor action is great. App is a little less intuitive, especially when setting a schedule, but the flexibility is there to add more govee throughout the house. All in all I’d buy these again in a heartbeat. The various scenes in the app are nice and it provides great ambience around the pool.

Great Deck Lights for new Pergola

Colorful and Easy to install!

I had to write a review! The Govee RGBIC String Bulbs are bright, colorful, and easy to use. Installation was a breeze, I hung them on my deck. I keep them up all year long, and they’ve survived all outdoor conditions and seasons: blizzards, rain, snow, heat, sun, wind, etc. I keep the control box and plug safe away from weather as it isn’t waterproof. They are made with quality, and have lasted longer than I expected! I use the Govee app to change and customize the colors of the bulbs, create color themes for holiday or seasonal events, etc. They can control them from anywhere via the Govee app or Alexa because of the WiFi connection. The Bluetooth connection works well, and you just need to be in Bluetooth range of bulbs. I control them with my Amazon Alexa app by connecting and linking them to Alexa from the Govee app. I recommend these lights over and over again.

My son had to hang these lights, so you need to get something to hold them up. We put the lights on our back deck. They are operated by your phone to turn on and to choose the colors you want. Nice lights🥰

fun product for practically anything
I bought these four months ago with the intent to place them outside, until i started to like them indoors. They are great for wherever inside the house. the only draw back, the app (in MY opinion… sucks. ding one star because of the app) it takes awhile to figure out the app, i wish the app had more features to create your own design, heck it may be in the app and i cant figure out where it is. so a little patience with the app and it works great.

The Govee brand has needs for any occasion. I have many of their products, indoors and outdoors. The best part? Everything can be controlled through the app on your phone. It’s pretty simple to do, customizing the colors, specifying the time they turn on or off and just really brings life to any area they are located. Professional lights for a decent price!

Cool but misleading
I really like these Charlie brown type lights just didn’t know you can’t connect more than two strands total of the 96′ so you have to run cords all over the roof and the adapter box is not waterproof so not sure how long they will last outside even though it says outdoor.

Great product, highly recommend them
We liked them so much that we have gotten several sets and put them up in our lanai. It is really good that you can set them to be the same or different colors. The app allows you to do so much and we are very happy with all that they do. If you want a great set of lights to use outside, around a porch or fence line or anything at all.

Absolutely love them except one fatal flaw
These lights are phenomenal and so much fun to use. However in my opinion there is one major flaw when it comes to them being Edison bulbs for outdoors. Typically when I think of Edison bulbs you think of bright white lights to light up your patio or yard. However, to get any customization on them by playing around with colors, either one by one or by segments, there is no option for a color that is a standard bright white color. You can only choose from RBG colors that are really dim, the yellow-red is extremely dim. If you go into the scenes setting though you can choose the illumination setting which makes the lights like standard bright white Edison lights and they look great! The scene options though are not customizable and are for the whole strand. So if you want any customization do not expect the lights to be bright enough to see much. Perfect for holiday parties but not the average night if you want any fun colors. Please make a “color” that is the bright white light so I can have some bulbs be bright and others be truly colored! 😊

Perfect Outdoor Lights
These lights are easy to set up and of great quality just like all/most of Govee products. We have plenty of their products in our home and they integrate easily with any smart home devices. We have yet to have a product fail on us and the apps are easy to understand.

Great, until the lights started failing
I used these for just over a year on my patio and was very happy with how they functioned and looked but last week I noticed the third bulb from the end begin to flicker. A little later it went out completely. Then last 2 bulbs quit responding at all and stayed lit and the same color regardless of the settings and power toggle. Finally, after a few days, half of the bulbs are non-functional though the last 2 are still stuck always on. I’m disappointed they did not hold up better. I have a number of Govee light devices and all have held up so far except for this.

colors
They have so many color options!! smart phone controlled, so if your looking for lights with a remote buy a different brand. That was not an issue for me, these lights are great!

These are great!
I love these lights. You can set them in modes that resemble more traditional patio lights, but I love having them double as seasonal holiday lights throughout the year. They are really bright, even on lower levels.My only complaint is so many of the modes flash too much or are too fast to be enjoyable for a patio setting. I wish you could control the speed and intensity. With so many modes to choose from, this isn’t a big issue.I also have the round version of the patio lights that Govee makes and prefer these (brighter). It’s nice to have complementary modes going on different bulbs though.

Outdoor only if covered up, but customer service fixed the problem
Edit: Company has excellent customer service. Again the lights are great, the app is great, both my sets just allowed water into the bulb, but the company has rectified the situation so kudos to their customer service.I like these lights but some bulbs have filled with water after a rain. They look nice and the app is great. I have two sets but unfortunately both have the same issue of having water enter the bulb. They are nice a bright and I’m just worried the water problem will eventually cause these to fail.

Can bounce with music!
Chose this over costco string lights (although not a fan of RGB) due to the embedded wifi control feature.Love all the presets lighting features.My girl loves the one that bounce with music
