Ice cube maker
My water lines in my kitchen are not set up on the wall where the refrigerator is so I have no ice maker. This little gem doesnt take up much counter space at all and makes two different sizes of ice cubes in a jiffy. No more filling ice trays for me👏👏

Excellent ice machine
We have an ice machine in our refrigerator that no longer functions. I looked into sourcing the parts and realized the repair would be around $500. I took a chance and bought this unit on sale for $80…WORTH EVERY CENT…we now have quick ice production at a fraction of the price of repairing our fridge ice maker. We even have more room in the freezer now after the ice maker portion was removed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great For Extra Ice
Was a little hesitant about a countertop ice maker but we are really pleased with this so far. It makes a lot of ice in a short period of time. The wife loves it. It makes a little noise when dumping the ice cubes but it is not enough to be of a nuisance. Good to have when you need a little extra ice before refrigerator supply.

Yes It makes Ice fast. Yes the Ice sticks together after you put It In the freezer I use the solid part of a folding knife to chip away at the Ice, not a big deal to me since this Is the only practical way to have Ice for my situation full-time camping. Take out white basket, fill to “max”, put basket back, push the “on” button. Will stop making Ice when basket Is full. Just empty basket and close lid to continue making Ice. Bought the table from Amazon too, Ice maker on top, trash can underneath.

Great as long as you familiarize yourself immediately to it’s limitations
If you believe that you are going to bring this to a party and think it will supply all the ice you need for many do not count on that. To give an idea of what to expect. An intimate gathering of maybe four people and having created a bucket of ice before the party (and I am referring to bucket the size of a hotel courtesy bucket not a pail) starts it will be great. It actually kicks them out pretty regularly as long as you do not have a situation of demand verses supply. By the time four people, of course it depends on what you are drinking, fill their glass with ice and finish their drinks the device will have cranked out another bucket. It amazed me just how quickly it pushed them out. Smoothies and umbrella concoctions may challenge it. Noise is minimal. Except for when it finishes a cycle and dumps the ice into the receiving tray you will not notice it.In summary I think for a four person gathering it will appear to be a magic machine. If you are entertaining a crowd people will be waiting in line grumbling. Also after the ice is made if you use it immediately without freezer storage it is fine. If you put it in a container for freezer storage guaranteed it will freeze together in one big clump that you will have to break up.

Good great amazing
It works fast. We filled an ice bucket in an hour non stop. The two things I have a problem with is it has a sensor so it should automatically turn off and on instead of constantly running. And the ice melts fast in the insulated tub inside the machine.

Easy to use, love it
I love this ice maker! Works great. I would say that I would make the larger cubs because I feel the small ones melt faster. I bought a freezer safe bin to put them in and it works great. I would suggest getting an ice pick to get the ice separated if needed.

LOVE/HATE relationship
I really want to give a 3.5 rating but I’ll give 4 because I really do LOVE this ice maker. It’s been so amazing to have at our house considering we do not have a fridge that has an ice maker BUTTTTTTTT this thing is sooooooo hard to clean it’s wild. There is a specs where the ice is “made” that you cannot get clean because it’s such a tight space and you cannot take it apart whatsoever. So now we constantly have floaties in our drinks and it’s just gross. 😭

Easy-to-use, decent countertop ice maker
As I write this review, the icemaker is humming along in the background, a little louder than I’d prefer, not at all whisper-quiet, but with a low-enough pitch that makes it fairly easy to ignore. The Frigidaire portable icemaker can easily share space with other appliances on the counter. It’s a no-brainer to use, no learning curve involved. Each tray of ice is much smaller than a regular ice cube tray, and individual ice cubes are about a third to half the size of a regular ice cube. The icemaker gamely keeps making ice cubes until it deems the basket full, then shuts off until the ice melts or is deposited in the freezer or in our drinks. Then it begins again.The only glitch is the consistency of the bullet-type ice cubes. They come out wet, on the verge of melting, and they freeze together when placed with other ice cubes in the freezer, requiring the help of a knife or ice pick to chip them free.I’m hoping a future iteration of this icemaker will freeze cubes at a lower temperature. Still, for the price, convenience, and ease of use, I recommend this icemaker.

I would have rated this item 5 stars, but the noise of the ice maker is so annoying. When I want to watch a good movie, I have turn up my TV or go in my bedroom and don’t even think about reading a good book in the living room, the noise level interrupts my peaceful reading experience.

Quick and efficient.
Had this for a little while now to gauge how well it works and it’s great. Instructions are extremely clear and easy to comprehend. Markings on the machine itself make sure to keep you from overfilling and clean up is a breeze assuming you’re not dumping the most filthy water in there.The interior of the ice machine produces quite a bit of ice with half a tank of water using the “Small” setting. As of yet, I haven’t noticed a substantial difference between the small and large ice settings.If you’re looking to make some quick ice for a drink, the machine does take a few minutes but it’s nothing a quick scroll on your phone won’t solve. After that, dumping excess water is as simple as pulling a plug out from the bottom of the machine and there it goes.I like to fill the tank and make reserve ice for later, just make sure you got a nice ice tub and a pick to break it apart cause the cubes freeze together very quickly. The included scoop actually does a fantastic job of breaking them apart too. It doesn’t feel flimsy at all.

85 y/o Grandparents Approved! 🧊❄️🧊❄️
I purchased this for my 85 year old grandparents. Their new refrigerator has a botton freezer (which they wanted) but limited freezer space so they took out the ice maker to make room. Every time we had family gatherings, there was no ice not even a tray.When I mentioned buying this to my grandmother – she didn’t want to hear it. She said there would be no room for it on her counters (she has plenty of room). I think they were more concerned they wouldn’t know how to operate it without help or how it would ‘look’ if company came lol. It blends in nicely with her other black & stainless appliances. If anything, her friends/company raves about the maker.I had the ice maker shipped to my grandparents house — and when they received it, they couldn’t get over how well packaged it was — it also has a blue film covering protecting the entire stainless machine. ❄️🧊❄️🧊❄️🧊❄️🧊 and couldn’t get over how compact the ice maker is, how quick it produces ice, and how easy it is to operate.They have actually used this several times when having outdoor gatherings. We plug it into the outside outlet or portable generator & wah lah! It was in the mid 90s with 100% humidity & the lid kept the ice intact – no issues with melting.The ice cubes are large nuggets which is nice.. Depending on your tap water minerals, I recommend using filtered water to reduce build-up.*The machine is very easy to clean AND SO IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ). When I visited, I noticed the machine had a ‘water smell’ and knew it just needed a cleaning.I do recommend cleaning & sanitizing the machine every 4-6 weeks and clean the basket frequently. If you don’t want to spend the money on ice machine cleaner – then white vinegar works just as good if not better. I put distilled vinegar in a spray bottle (1:1 ratio) and spray the inside really good. I would use a lint free microfiber cloth or an old t-shirt to wipe (DON’T USE HARSH CHEMICALS) – you can also mix water & Dawn together and use it as a spray. You’ll want to grab a toothbrush for hard to reach spots. Vinegar is a safe – natural disinfectant & descaler. Anything that gets left uncleaned has the chance to build up grime for another 2 months. DON’T SKIP THIS STEP – YOU WILL GET SICK!! 🪥🧽🧼*MAKE SURE you pour/fill the ice maker with the vinegar solution (vinegar/water), just like how you make ice! Making this ice fills the spaces most likely to have buildup, like the ice maker’s teeth, with your solution. Make sure you give the machine a good thorough rinse because you don’t want your ice to taste like vinegar. This may seem like a pain or a lot to do but it’s actually not. So quick but so IMPORTANT. You DON’T want to take chances on getting sick or someone else because ALL ice makers create mold, slime, e-coli, pests, dust, and dirt—debris of all kinds can affect the quality of your ice. Look out for green or black patches on your ice, because that’s a sure sign that it’s in need of a clean. But other dangers can be harder to spot.I hope you found my review helpful! Love it!
This little guy is a great performer. In a few hours it can make loads of ice for a party or supplement your low preforming ice maker. One thing does need your attention. After you empty the ice basket into your freezer you should wait about 10 minutes and then break it up. The ice is a bit “wet” and tends to clump up.Definitely a lot of performance for sure a reasonable price. I use reverse osmosis water and the ice tastes great.

Not perfect but still worthwhile
The only reason I bought this was to have bulk ice for mixing cocktails. It does that well, and quickly. However, outside of using the ice to mix drinks, I’m not crazy about the finished product. The cubes simply have too much surface area by design, causing them to melt rapidly. I didn’t fully understand how these things work until seeing it in action. The ice forms along small rods in the back of the unit. This leaves them almost hollowed out, thus creating that extra surface area. If you’re using them to cool a drink, you need to use quite a bit to slow the melting. I definitely won’t use these cubes in small amounts with any beverage, but especially not cocktails, as the melting quickly dilutes them.Overall, I still think it’s a great product and I have no regrets. The noise levels are not a bother at all, it’s pretty quick, and very easy to use. Maybe next time I’ll opt for a higher end machine but I’m happy with this one for now.

Great table top icemaker, this color was quickest to ship and happy with it! Makes two size cubes, pretty quickly. Got tired of filling trays, spills and taking up space in freezer. I can also store the cubes in ziplock if needed.

Nice little ice maker – nope
Some friends purchased one of these about 4-5 years ago. When we go camping/lodging they bring this unit to keep ice ready and it has always worked well. We finally broke down and picked one up for ourselves.It makes the small cubes in about 7-8 minutes and can readily fill an ice bucket in short order. The only drawback IMO is the noise level. The fan for the refrigerator unit is noisy and until you get used to it the ice dumping mechanism can be a bit surprising.Be aware that when you move this unit, and particularly if you tip it over, the unit needs to be sat right side up for a few minutes before operation to allow the refrigerant to settle.edit- another items to add in consideration. This produces very wet ice due to the nature of the unit. When you move the ice to a bucket like one would, have an ice pick or small wooden mallet (etc.) on hand to bust it back apart. It will concrete into a bucket shaped mass.Edit- So, here we are. Eight days after purchase and a problem arose. The unit is dripping water all over the counter while filling. I first spent almost 3 hours today with “tech support” of Frigidaire trying to see if there was something that could be done to easily fix the issue. In spite of providing the model number, the bogus support sent me schematics for a dish washer and then a full size fridge. Didn’t matter that I provided them with the model number. To top off this stellar waste of time, they then informed me that some 3rd party group takes care of warranty issues with these units.I would return this to Amazon for a refund, but alas, the retail box was accidentally thrown away. At this point I am stuck with an ice maker that “works” while also dripping water all over my countertop. I put the unit inside a cookie sheet much like a drip pan, but certainly not something you should be doing with an eight day old product.Don’t walk. RUN away from this product as the manufacturer support on the back end is worse than a bad joke. Just burned a bill on pure crap.additional edit- After contacting Frigidaire and then the group they have handling warranty on this unit called Curtis International I was basically told ‘tough luck’ in regard to ANY level of service or satisfaction on their end. I contacted Amazon back in chat to see if anything could be done, and they stepped up and took the unit back alongside a refund. It really doesn’t matter if this is the best countertop ice maker on the planet. The way the manufacturer and their support group handled this was poor beyond measure. DO NOT support manufacturers that want to treat customers this way. I will not ever knowingly spend another penny supporting Frigidaire after this.

It’s beautiful, and does the job it’s made for.
Firstly, I read every review on every machine. The Frigidaire was the clear stand out. We ordered two, one for our home, another as a gift. Unfortunately, one of them arrived damage, but Amazon was the usual rockstar and made an immediate return/refund so simple. Like all the other videos, ice production is fast, clean, quiet, perfect every time. Don’t hesitate, it’s a great little unit that looks fabulous on our counter.

Iced coffee in my office … this ice maker is perfect
I have had this ice-maker for about two weeks. It is a little bigger than my coffee maker. I include a picture of a bottle of water and the coffeemaker for perspective on size. I come into the office in the morning, load bottled water into the reservoir, turn it on, and it starts making ice and within a few minutes I have ice. Each round of ice is about nine thimble shaped (or hollow) cubes. It makes ice until the hopper is full and then stops. You use a provided scoop to remove ice and make iced coffee or other iced drinks. The ice making will restart automatically if you remove sufficient ice. The fan blows on the unit when it is making ice, but this is not constant and is not more noisy than a typical PC fan or small refrigerator compressor. At the end of the day, turn the unit off, and the ice melts back into the reservoir to be reused the next day. This is a fully automatic and very logically designed unit. Now that I have this unit, I wonder how on earth I lived without it! It is really great!

I’m very impressed with this ice machine. Not loud, makes ice very quickly. I chose this one after doing major product reviews and Fridgedare is a great brand so that was a big factor in chosing this praticual ice maker. I’m so glad I did. Kids love this!
We purchased two of these. The first one was the copper as described. It’s fun but it will wake you in the night when the ice drops at the end of the freezing cycle. It’s fun to watch sometimes and nice to have ice. I wish there was a better way to clean it. We will have to unplug it and dump it over the sink, to clean it. Not the end of the world. When we ordered the second one they sent a black on instead of the copper. I tried several times to reach them. The sticker on the box said copper but the box clearly showed a black ice maker. The color doesn’t effect how it works of course so not a big deal.

Quality and price.
I love Sonic Ice ❤️. Didn’t know there were different types of machines until I started shopping. This one clearly says it makes bullet ice in 2 & crunch sizes. I’m thinking they would be small & break when bit. So, when the first ones dropped I got one, popped in mouth & crunch. Second one just a hard ice cube which after a while melts down and can be chewed. Back to the drawing board since I now know what I’m looking for. I tried 2 different makers & more expensive after watching the videos. First was a Siiloon: Ice nooks a little bigger than Sonic’s but is clear and no crunch. Let it run several cycles with no change. Boxer back up to send back. Tried an Antarctic Star: no difference in ice it produced. More on that review. Then the solution hit me: Keeping the Fridgeaire that makes the bullet. Store in an ice bag and drop,on an hard answer and when needed use a rolling pin. Then when you empty into a cup (see picture) it looks like & tastes like sonic ice. If you still get some of the bullets, after they’ve sat for a while they chew easily. So, I’m now very happy. Plus, I’ve using bottled ware (tall ones) and can get 4-5 baskets of the bullets before refilling.

so, I had regrets the second I purchased this, before it was even delivered. I mean who needs an ice maker? just stick to the trays you refill right? Once I received the machine, I plugged it in and used it sure I would want to return it realizing it was a silly purchase… cut to two weeks later and it’s one of my favorite things ever. it is so super quiet, it does give quite a bit of ice in a short period of time, has two different sizes of cubes and it looks pretty sleek too (i got the black one).I would buy this again and again!

Our ice maker broke on a newer fridge after warranty expired and 3 servicemen. Since we don’t want to replace the fridge we went in this direction. It is novelty ice, and is wet so doesn’t last more than several days in my freezer ice container but it does work very well for us.For 2 people I have been using it about every other day first thing in the morning and dumping ice in freezer. First day I used 8 cups of water and got loads of ice. Now I just do about 4 cups and it is enough.I thought I was going to be able to just use it 6 minutes before my meal but in actuality, you should start an hour ahead of time to get a full basket.Also surprised at how long it stays ice in my insulated metal water bottle.

Nice machine
The ice maker went out in the refrigerator and it will be a month before the repairman could come and check it out. Ice is used everyday missed especially if it’s warm out.This is perfect! After its first cycle it makes ice faster than we use it. The ice is wet but I put the extra in a bag and in the freezer. After 5 mins or so I dump it into the refrigerator ice dispenser and use it from there.Highly recommend and I’m sure it will come in handy when entertaining!

Does the job
4/5 because this is kind of noisy. Our fridge quit making ice, and this is the most affordable solution. The ice kind of melts downs as it sits in the basket. It’s best to transfer it out into the freezer. The basket inside makes enough ice to fill one travel water cup. If you want to have a supply of ice for your family, you definitely need to transfer it out and into the freezer. It does make ice fairly quick. Set up super quick and this easy to use.

Beats buy ice
We don’t have a refrigerator that makes ice other than the old way with ice trays. We were always low on ice or had to grab a bag on the way home. This machine is gonna pay for itself in no time. Definitely a great and easy to use machine.

Great machine
This little beauty sits on our counter and just pumps out ice. We are always entertaining so we have a large ice bucket that we fil from this item. It’s relatively quiet, and is very easy to use.

Love this thing…
I purchased one of these 3 years ago and have been getting along well with it. It does the job and makes plenty of ice for household use. I run it a couple of evenings and bag the ice so it is easy to break up when needed. Can fill a 10 pound bag in 2 evenings easy.This year when all of our convenience and grocery stores started charging $6 for a 20 pound bag of ice I said enough and purchased another machine – the exact same model number so they would match sitting on the countertop. Well, they kind of match. The new one has a larger door and opening on top and the door is all clear plastic. I agree this is an improvement as it allows better access for cleaning and such. Just wish they would have changed the model number a bit to signify a design change.The new one works as well as the old one. Purchased a heavy duty bakers rack with a dual duplex outlet and now have an ice making station right beside the freezer. Made 60 pounds of ice in one and a half days. I bag it in the freezer and pull out a couple of bags for the cooler when heading to the cabin. Purchased a hundred 10 pound ice bags for 10 bucks or so on Amazon also. All in all I am very pleased. Will pay for itself in 12 weeks at my current usage level.A note to prospective buyers. ALL ice machines make ice that is just under the freezing mark. It releases this ice then starts the cycle over again, so the ice that collects in the tray is WET!!! When tray is full you empty it into a bag and put it in the freezer to get it down to zero degrees or below. That means all the ice cubes freeze together, just like the ice in the bag that you buy out of an ice machine. Then if you want to break it up you just drop the bag on the counter or floor. It works so much easier if you get the ice bags too. If you want the ice in your cooler to last longer then chill it down to 10 or 20 degrees below zero in your freezer.

So far, so good
Have used this ice maker about 4 times. The first time, I thought it took a long time in between batches, about 10-12 minutes. After trying it a couple more times, it seems to be slightly faster producing the bullet shaped ice. It is not too loud running, but louder when it drops the ice, which is normal. Ice needs to be put in freezer after a few batches as it starts to melt fairly quickly. I would not wait till the basket is full. Ice does stick together but all the ice makers cubes react the same way. Putting it into a bag, and dropping it on the counter or pounding it with your hand will separate most of the ice. Like the shape of the ice.

excellant product. bought due to envy. did not disapoint. low costlove its low maintenence. you do, as others have noticed, have to use distilled water it almost only but that is cheap and portable. when dropping ice or when it runs out of water it is loud but not unpleasantly. we got ours when my hubby saw a patient that had the same one and loved it. sure helps against running up and down the home stairs for ice. makes quite a lot, enough for 2 supersized cups in its holding tray. when devise is moved you have to let it sit for a day. It hates being moved.

I use this ice maker every day. I live in Arizona and so far it works awesome. Don’t wash the basket in the bottom rack of your dishwasher tho

Works great
Yjis is a great little ice maker. I am giving it a 5 out of the box and will review again in 6 months to see how it holds up. Out of the box it was easy to set up. There is a piece of tape holding the eject pusher that I did not see in the directions. I let it sit on a level surface for two hours as the directions say yo let the refringent settel, Filled it with water, pluged in and in about 15 minuts ice was coming out and continued about every 15 min for large pieces. I let it run overnight to see how much melting it would do when basket full. I was surprised as the basket was at least 85 persent full. Ihe ice maker in my fridg is not relieabls as it freezes up often and it is a pain to thaw, so when this maker makes a batch, I just put it in thr fridg ice dispenser and it works great giving me crushed ice and cubes and it does not take long to fill it as this little ice makers realy pumps out the ice.Ihave been running this fo a week now. It is fast It makes small ice pelets in minuts.

Crystal clear ice
I bought this for my daughter because her new fridge did not have an ice maker. Although the machine is a little loud, it makes ice SO FAST, and the ice is crystal clear. I was very impressed with the speed and the quality of the ice. It’s so easy to use and perfect for a small apartment or for someone who uses a lot of ice.

Addicted to ice!
I love this ice maker. First, its sleek and looks good in my kitchen. Works very well. I use the small cubes setting and love the size. The scoop it comes with is perfect to handle.When the house is quiet, you can hear the water moving in it. But its not a distraction.

I love it!
A kitchen colors are red because we have the Coca-Cola design. So when I saw this was red I got it because I got tired of having to go out buy ice especially in the summer we have very very hot summers.So far I’ve never had an issue with it so far it’s worked great and I can use it anytime I need to make ice. The only thing I wish is it had a beeper or some type of alarm on it when the ice bucket is full and you have to empty it during the time you’re making ice. Because it is easy to forget you have it running and you go do things and you come back and you’re like oh shoot! I didn’t empty the ice bucket so the ice does end up melting but it will continually make ice once the ice bucket is less full.I just make a bucket full and I put it in a Ziploc bag and keep them in the freezer. So for me this is fantastic and I never run out of ice!
