About Doodlebone

When we set Doodlebone up in 2014, we had one thing written on a piece of paper

“We imagine a world where all pets and humans’ lives are enriched from every interaction with Doodlebone”

The one thing that drives us forwards is continual product development it ensures we never rest on our laurels and never stop striving.

Doodlebone really began when we got Aimee our cocker spaniel and I started looking around for well-designed modern accessories without much luck.

So we set out to bring something new and fun to the doggie world. Our first product was the Doodlebone Airmesh Harness, designed in a range of brighter, bolder colours than were around at the time. It quickly became a favourite of dog owners, pet shop owners, and dogs!

We’re always looking for ways to Change, evolve and improve. We have a set of very ambitious plans to grow our offering and deepen our understanding of both retailers and dog owners.

Everything we do always starts with the customer, it’s imperative we understand the needs of pet owners and retailers’ alike.

To make the new range successful we carried out lots of market research to find the needs and wants from the dog accessory market. We understand it’s imperative to not only listen to our market research feedback but also to action it so we can continually, improve and move forwards.

The Doodlebone Originals Snappy Harness is our brilliant and easy-fit solution designed with these more nervous dogs in mind. Rather than going over the head it wraps around your dog’s body really easily and snaps into place.

Like our extremely popular Airmesh Harness, Snappy is constructed with soft mesh fabric that is breathable and a little bit stretchy for some give.

At Doodlebone we are constantly looking to improve our products. When developing the Originals range we measured and weighed over 300 dogs and got some invaluable feedback from their owners.

The result was a completely new look at our sizing system to make it easier to get the right size first time and ensure the safest and best fit for your dog.

Safe and stylish

Snappy is now available in 7 sizes to cater for most dogs. In fact, because the girth around the chest is designed to be a little more generous on the Snappy, this is an ideal harness for breeds such as Bulldogs and also for puppies.

Strong clips and adjustable Velcro tabs also help create a snug fit, and reflective piping is a built-in safety feature for walks when it’s dark. A double metal D-ring connector allows for optimal dog control.

    Great harnesses!

    Great harness. Ordered a few now in various colours. Size 6 is perfect for adult French bulldogs. With the Velcro and buckle, it’s very secure.

    Doodle bone harness

    Item arrived and have to say was a little disappointed…. have had these harnesses previously so I’m well aware of sizing and styling etc. This harness was manufactured inside out !! .. everything was stitched and sewn correctly, but the material which should have been on the inside close to the body was on the outside and the outer material was sewn on the inside !!!Somewhat disappointing…. certainly an error in the manufacture but equally I would have expected the supplier to have picked up on this and sent out a correctly made harness???

    Fits nice around the chest but baggy under the neck

    Like the colour, feels well made and around the chest it’s nice but it’s slightly baggy under the neck and this can’t be adjusted. I’ve ordered the correct chest size but maybe the size 4 might have been better. She’s a small show cocker spaniel 9.6kg 57cm chest.

    Easiest harness to put on!

    Excellent harness, easy to put on and made of durable materials. My dog loves his new harness, I was in doubt of the sizes and had to return the first one I ordered as it was too big. My dog is a Maltese cross he is 11 pounds and size 2 was the right fit for him. Overall great product.

    Lovely

    Lighter than previous harnesses I’ve used, wash and dry very quickly and seem comfortable on the dogs, loose on resting but secure when walking (pulling), feels safe with Velcro and clips to secure. Bought blue and red.

    So easy to get on

    This is the only harness I use for my Cavalier King Charles spaniel. He’s had one of these since he was a puppy. So easy to get on as you don’t have to faff around putting it over the head. He just steps into it. It’s comfortable but sturdy. Hes now 2 years 6 months and is in a size 5 which is roomy on him. He’s a big but not overweight Cavalier.

    An excellent and robust harness.

    This is the second Doodlebone harness I have purchased and size 5 fits our French Bulldog very well, is strong and secure. She’s not too keen, but I am impressed.

    Comfy Easy but not secure

    I got the next size up as my pup had grown. The spaces between sizes is quite significant. I love the comfy feel, washable, easy to put on and while walking eases the pulling..but my pup slipped it over his head while out , the whole harness and lead still attached. So not sure this ideal for my pup as his recall is not 100% and I can’t afford that to happen.

    Best harness I’ve used

    I bought my first harness from Pets at Home in the sale. I loved it! My Ebony-Rey was happy amd comfortable wearing it as its not an over head one. It keeps her safe and secure and I can pick her up and move her along easily. I wanted a second one for ages then thought I’d look on Amazon. I was delighted to be able to get another one. Well worth the money paid. Lots of fab comments on my first pink one and now a violet one. 5*

    Size chart

    Sizes are most confusing. I measured my dog correctly, but the harness we got was completely the wrong size. I have a small cavalier King Charles spaniel and the first harness I received was an XXL – far too big. The second order I placed , I received a S – far too small. The harness is of good quality, but the size chart is inaccurate.

    Great dog harness

    My dog chokes if I pull her by the collar and so this is my second doodlebone. The first lasted a long time but eventually the velcro gave up.It is an excellently made product but if in doubt about the fit, err on the large side.
