Tiresome, sometimes doesnt work first time
Decent machine for the (second hand) price. Product was delivered on time, well renovated (papers indicating what had been done), clean, worked well out of the box other than one issue (below). SSD drive, it fires up quickly and well.THE PROBLEM…is that the WiFi drops off every 4-5 minutes or so, requiring one to re-establish the connection. Tiresome, sometimes doesnt work first time. Have tried everything to fix it but no solution. Wife and child’s laptops (neither are Dell) connected to the same router, and they have no problem in connecting. On searching the web have found that the boards are littered with the same issue all relating to Dell. Apparently, they (Dell) have a sub standard Networking Adaptor. Anyhoo, off to my local computer fixit next week to have my WiFi network adapter changed. Probably another 60 quid or so, so that should be taken into consideration. Can’t live with this nonsense, drives me mad…

Bit cheap and nasty. The keyboard buttons sounded different and a bit glued together.By far the main problem though was that it was ridiculously slow. It also took ages to set up Also cost a tenner to return.

Signs of Wear
The laptop performs quite well but the casing is in poor condition. Lots of scratches and dents. Stickers have been placed strategically to hide damage! It was a present for my son so I had it delivered to him. Didn’t see it myself until he had had it a while, otherwise it would have been returned. Would buy new next time.

Fantastic bit of kit for the money and no problems at all with WiFi unlike the other reviewer. Tried WiFi on multiple routers and it keeps it’s lease without any issues and doesn’t drop it’s connection.It boots to the desktop in seconds thanks to the SSD and performs well in general browsing and light photoshop work. Battery lasts just like a new one should and the laptop itself doesn’t feel hot when using it for several hours. I was pretty hesitant about buying a refurb but would happily buy another one as it came with a full list of all tests performed during the refurb process.All in all a very worthwhile product at a good price.

Refurbished = faulty from the start
This laptop never worked correctly from the start. Lost CMOS setting and windows activation code in the first week. Replaced battery after 10 weeks of light home use, and again 2 months later. Replaced supplied charger in month 8 at request of seller. Still doesn’t charge. Returned under the 365 return guarantee, and STILL awaiting a refund after 13 months. Seller blames everything other than this is a faulty laptop, and does not honour their own guarantee. Amazon are as usual, no help. Filled a section 75 with my card provider this morning so at least they lose the payment but they still have to pay the amazon fees.

nice machine with the two disks, thssd gives it a lovely quick boot up time and 500gb on the other drive plenty of room BUT, after a very short period it faild, nothing at all tried another power supply , no good.. rang up the company out of curyisy to tell them what had happend and that i had started amazons return and the gent said “oh yes i remember that happening on a same model a while back, the motherboards gone” if you return it we’ll get another one sent out to you” but i did not want another one as i had just been told they fail the motherboard!they were ok on the phone and even though it is a failure i have to get it back to them which will cost a small fortune and only when they have it will they release my money and hopefully the return postagethink twice before ordering one of these.. one other thing, only on asking them did i get an idea of how old the machine was, other 3 years and had i known that first iprobably wouldnt have ordered it

Potential remote access to computer?
I bought this laptop for my girlfriend, and I thought having it already setup would be nice as she could avoid the hassle. However, when it arrived it had a creepy guy’s photo on it, taken the day before it was sent. I don’t know if they were just testing the laptop camera, but they should have removed the photo. In addition, team viewer was installed on it! This seems to indicate some nefarious purpose, as team viewer is used to remotely access computers often in an attempt to scam or steal information! She also doesn’t have a windows product key so there’s no way to reinstall windows or even reset it. We uninstalled team viewer and looked through the other programs on it, which seem okay. Hopefully there’s nothing else. Buyers beware when purchasing laptops that have already been setup and used!

Got it faster than expected
I mean, this was initially set to deliver on the 7th /9th I got notification it was coming today which is next day delivery. It’s been cleaned factory reset. Everything is solid and performance is nice snappy and smooth.Video looks good sound is fair but I never expect too much from laptop speakers.The hdmi works perfect so you can run video into a larger monitor. And run the sound through a sound bar.I was going to try and save my old laptop by flashing Linux on to a USB. This computer handled that with ease.You would be forgiven for thinking this laptop was brand new not a refurb.

Required a good, reliable laptop, with enough modern spec/ports. This Dell Latitude 5480 surpasses my expectations.It is quick and responsive. Has a clear sharp screen, keyboard has a fantastic feel to it. I don’t game, so am unable to judge on that. For all other functions, including streaming, this is an excellent purchase that doesn’t cost the earth.Would highly recommend.

You wouldn’t know it was refurbished
I was on the look out for a cheap laptop for general use including a little business. This is a gem. It is sold as refurbished. However, aside from not arriving in the original packaging, you just would not know. It looks and feels brand new! Very quick start up and shut down. The i5 and 8gb ram provides a quick little machine for my needs. The seller even had the item to me a day early. It came securely packaged. Not too much bloatware pre-installed. Only a free trial of Bullguard (that I cannot get to activate properly so it will have to go soon). I was up and running with a few minutes. Haven’t hard tested the battery life yet though the initial impression is fine. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent Laptop – Dell Latitude E6430 (Refurbished)
Many thanks for supplying my new (refurbished) Dell Laptop. It is excellent !! No visible scratches etc and all functions as expected. Arrived undamaged in very good packaging.Some comments: Removing the battery to retrieve the Microsoft Key was very difficult – broke my finger nail.As for many years until retirement I was an IT Professional, so naturally I checked everything out – the only two things I needed to fix were the Dell urgent recommended Bios Firmware update from version A14 to A24, and an Intel firmware update.Thanks too for supplying the laptop with the nearly new version of Windows 10 Pro (1903).Also I have removed the DVD RW drive and inserted a HDD Caddy containing a hard disk for backups (very easy update).So everything is more than expected, works very well and of exceptional value for an Intel I5 processor with an SSD drive.I noticed some adverse reviews of the WiFi on this version of a Dell laptop, so I checked it out: at my home (VirginMedia Fibre Broadband) and I got the published speeds (107.6 Mbps download and 10.9Mbps upload) – good !!So thanks again.

Seller was helpful about a dead CMOS battery
An absolutely horrible laptop. For some reason both products that I brought had a horrible “stickiness” to the palm rest suggesting that some kind of plastic protector was removed after too many years of it being on there. Seller advertised one unit as being “pristine” and the other unit being “good”. Neither of which was accurate. Would I buy another product from the vendor? Not at all. Would I recommend the model to anyone? Not at all. Both laptops are currently assigned to my spares/scrap bin. Do not buy.

Arrived on time well packed,externally it is in pristine condition no marks or scratches ,no marks on the sreen either. Windows 10 installed without any problems and updated quickly also updates from Dell Support including bias . I have had it for three days and so far it has performed as new ,I would certainly highly recommend this well worth the price .

Outstanding value and condition but needed a clean and to restore on my own.
Pros: Amazing value. Great laptop with two dual batteries, specifications better than I initially expected.Came with charger.Easy to set up and works incredibly well. Slightly thicker than expected but the specifications and quality make up for it.Cons: A little grubby on the keyboard that I had to clean due to our current climate.I had to restore to factory settings on my own because it was loaded as a user account, which was annoying as it took a while to then load my own Microsoft account.

Recieved laptop in good packaging, noted charger lead was new. Even though main body had been cleaned the various ports were full of dirt/debris which I’ve tried to clean with cotton wool buds. On trial the battery only last 3hrs against 12hrs recommend….advert says 80% of battery life minimum. Finally the left click doesn’t click only tricky to confirm…..other than that okRegardsDave

Stopped working after a month
I bought this at start of October 2023. It was not in bad condition but recently it refuses to switch on completely. Even after trouble shooting it didn’t start. Amazon has offered refund but the item is not yet picked. I would not recommend.
