I love it!
For the money I paid this was a great investment! I had, remember, had a lot of weeds growing in both of my yards. I took some bottom of the barrel weed killer at Home Depot for $6, with this applicator you will kill weeds in under 30 minutes. Just put the nozzle on jet stream and watch death do his/her/its deed.

Just what I needed
I had another brand of sprayer for weed killing that repeatedly got clogged. After purchasing this previous sprayer several times I decided to search for another brand. I found the Chapin 2000 and I am happy with this purchase. I prefer to make my own non-toxic weed killer and this sprayer is easy to fill, pump and spray. Because I make my own weed killer I use the sprayer every 2-3 weeks in the growing season. I have one of those ugly drainage ditches along the street in front of my home. I can stand the ditch if the weeds are managed.

Great for replacing cheap bug spray container
I finally had it with a certain effective bug spray I use where the nozzles just stopped working after a few uses, no matter what, but obviously I still wanted to use the product. I saw a few mentioned they ended up getting one of these types of sprayers instead and it definitely works a lot better. Only issue I came across when I was doing the testing instructions first is that it requires a certain minimum of liquid inside before you can pressurize it, which can get a tad annoying if what’s left is still enough for several more sprays.

Sprays evenly and is such a time saver!
I used this to spray a product on my carpet that eliminates the smell of cat urine. Using the hand sprayer that came with the product just took took too long and didn’t get very deep into the carpet. I was able to spray evenly and deeply into the carpet using this, which allowed the product to penetrate the carpet and ultimately eliminated the smell. I highly recommend this!

Works Great and Inexpensive
Bought this to use for spraying the garden after deciding using a spray bottle was waaaaay too labor intensive and time consuming. This sprayer does the trick and is easy to use. Used it all summer and didn’t have any issues with function. Go ahead and get it. You’ll save yourself a lot of time and make your life a little easier.

Works Like a Pro!
This sprayer is amazing!! It’s really powerful for its size and I’m surprised that it’s this inexpensive considering the cost of the other expensive brand name ones on the market that don’t work half as well as this one does. This sprayer is manufactured using durable and thick plastic, it’s easy to assemble and the instructions are simple and clear. The parts connect well to one another, the seals are effective so that the pump mechanism creates a powerful vacuum which produces a long lasting stream of water. The wand sprays evenly and thoroughly and the container doesn’t leak. It is easy to clean. Overall this sprayer is an amazing value given the other well known brands on the market that don’t come even close to the quality, durability or effectiveness of this one. I’m Extremely happy with this product.

OK this thing is just super
I rarely write reviews. This time I had to write. Before it arrived I viewed the set-up and usage video online. When it came, I put it all together in about 30 seconds, filled it half-way with water, and tested it on my terrace plants and terrace window screen. Bingo! It sprays from wide-angle to narrow, and sprays for about 45 seconds or so without having to re-pump. The nozzle adjustment, pressurization, and handle are all intuitive and work well. I’m going to use it to spray sealant on the terrace deck before winter sets in, and then buy another for next spring when we grow the herb garden again. Easy-peasy. Holds enough liquid for most household jobs. I imagine that big jobs and contractor work will require a more robust unit, but for the weekender/hobbyist, this works fine and the price is right. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

Not the most durable for projects, good for plants!!

I purchased two of these- one for my flooring project to spray stain (see video) and the second one to water my house plants.With water, this works great. Easy to assemble, easy to pump up, and sprays great.For my flooring project, it worked, but could have been better. The spray wasn’t totally uniform, and I ended up breaking the handle from twisting it too hard. It did the job, but I threw it away in the end.That being said, the price was right, so I didn’t feel too bad using it for a one time project. I’d buy it again.

Very good quality, regardless how inexpensive
I know the quality of Chapin sprayers from when I managed an Old fashioned, full service hardware store. The product is great as well as the customer service. I had purchased a couple of crappy sprayers since I only had one limited purpose, not wanting to invest in the Chapin. They performed horribly and didn’t last, so you can’t understand how excited I was to find a Chapin at this price point! It has performed well and I believe it will last.

Good little sprayer
This is an inexpensive sprayer. I bought one for weed killer and one to spray my roses (I marked them with a Sharpie so I didn’t confuse the two). They do the job nicely and, they’re so inexpensive, if they last a year (which they easily have) I’m happy!!Big Rudy

It’s a good sprayer for the money.
Old sprayer finally went into recycle bin. Purchased this one for spraying neem oil. Arrived promptly in good working order. Easy straight forward installation. Sprayed well and held pressure. Appears to be constructed of durable materials, except, the hose assembly is on the cheaper side. I still had the hose assembly from the old unit that fit on this sprayer, all good.Lower rating for the poor hose assembly.

I’m a happy refugee from the hand spritzer
For years I’ve been spraying my garden vegetable plants with hand spritzers. I apply water-diluted sulfur to my squash and melon leaves so they stay green and fresh, and water-diluted fertilizer to my tomato leaves. I need to spray both the tops and bottoms of leaves, but haven’t been able to. I kept encountering the same problems with hand spritzers: spritzers that stop working all too soon; spritzers that will spray on tops of leaves, but not under leaves because they don’t work when the nozzle is pointing upward; spritzers that can’t fit in where I need to spray, so I can’t get to the center of the plants; and spritzers that can’t hold enough liquid to spray. I finally gave up and bought one of these. Before buying I could see I would be spraying with a wand, and that turned out to be ideal! I can spray in any direction (down or up) and I can reach in where I could not reach before. I’m not going back to hand spritzers!The included assembly instructions seemed confusing because they are for a number of different models, which made it difficult to figure out what I was supposed to do with this specific 1-gallon product. Turns out assembly and use are easy if you follow these steps:1) Rinse out the jug. It may contain dust and bits left over from the manufacturing process.2) Insert the filter-end (perforated cylinder end) of the white plastic tube. This will go to the bottom of the interior of the jug.3) Secure the white plastic tube you just inserted, on the outside of the jug, with the threaded-fastener that’s captive and sliding on the outer hose, put there for this purpose. You’re making a water-tight seal, so make sure everything is first seated right, then twist the fastener snugly in place.4) Attach the wand on the other end of the hose. You are again using a threaded-fastener that is sliding on the hose, and you are again making sure everything is first seated well before twisting snugly in place.That’s it for the permanent assembly! For first-time use and to get a feel for how things work, fill the jug about 1/3 to 1/2 full with plain water. Drop the black pump into the top of the jug, with its handle on the outside. The handle is used to screw the pump into the jug so make sure the handle is down, into, and engaged in the top of the pump. Screw the pump in tightly since this has to be air-tight. Then unscrew the handle just a little, until it is loose and can be lifted up. Pump that handle to increase the pressure in the jug, and do it for longer than you might think necessary. Listen for leaking air where the pump is screwed in, and re-engage the handle into the pump to tighten it more if necessary.You want a lot of air in the jug so you can pressurize it for a lot of spraying. If you fill the jug too high there may be too little air to pressurize, and you won’t be able to spray that much since not a lot will come out. You’ll have to interrupt with more pumping sessions to get the pressure back up along the way. There’s no law against this, it’s just inconvenient. Filling half way or less makes the whole setup lighter for use, too.The wand has a handle you can squeeze, like at the gas pump, to get the spray going. Twist the end of the wand to change the shape of the spray, as you would with a garden hose.When you are done spraying, re-engage the pump handle into the pump, unscrew the pump and see and hear the pressure get released at the top of the jug around the edge of the pump.OK, you’ve gone through your practice session. Let’s spray for real! Add water that dilutes what you are going to spray (use markings along the side of the jug to see 1-liter, 2-liters, quart, half gallon levels) and add your ingredient(s) to the water. You can shake the jug after it has been sealed and pressurized, then spray to your heart’s content!Done for the day? Empty the jug and start again with plain water, then spray to clean everything out. I use this plain-water spray to water plants that could use it. Why waste the water?I am happy with my purchase, which is not something I always say. Of greatest importance? I see the effect on my plants!. Reliably getting to the undersides of leaves, and deep into bushy plants, are now easy, and really make a difference. They will for you, too.

Needed a fix to work, but now it’s good
Sturdy construction and great value, especially since it’s US made. I had a leak when pumping it up, never did spray, just leaked with every pump. Took the O-ring off the pump and walked over to ACE, talked to the “old guy” and got into their special selection of O-rings. Found one the same size, but a much softer material. After an investment of 79 cents it works like a charm now. Deducting just one star since I needed the walk, the one star because it was 2 below zero here today.

Chapin 20000 1-Gallon Sprayer. This model is NOT for Bleach. For a year now, that’s twice every 3 months, I’ve used this for Ortho Home Defense gallon refill bottles (bug perimeter spray). Ortho White bottle for outside house, Gray bottle for inside as it dries 30% quicker.Doesn’t leak, spray nozzle adjusts from fine mist to pour. It easily sprays top of outside windows, I’ll say roughly 15 feet from ground (I could be off lol, but much higher than the doors). Cheaper AND more efficient to use with “Refill” chemical bottles than buying chemical bottles with the $6-8 battery-powered wand that wastes half the bottle, if you’re even lucky to not receive a faulty one.Slowly turning the top handle on Bucket after use is it’s pressure release. This is the cheap one, so no switch.Cleaning is easy, you should ALWAYS empty bucket after use (unless you plan to use the rest very next day). I rinse then clean whole thing with Dawn Ultra dish soap & water. Put water in bucket to flush out wand sprayer. Then dry everything with paper towel. Then let everything finish air drying. Instruction states that you should drop oil in the sprayer but I haven’t done that.I plan on buying another Chapin 20000 1-Gallon for Ortho Weed Clear refill bottle. I bought the smaller Chapin 48oz handheld (plastic nozzle), it’s nice but is too small so I have no idea what I’ll use that for now.

Woohoo
I have over 100 house plants. I use this to water those plants. Makes it so much easier than a watering can. When it’s fertilize time I just add it to the mix and spray it out.One thing that I don’t like is the house is a stiff plastic and it seems to rotate the connection and cause an air leak. Not hard to retighten but can be annoying. I wish the hose was a little more flexible.

Fantastic, sprayer and water gun
I initially bought this to be a weed sprayer but while waiting on my 75% vinegar to show up, I use it as a water gun to sprain my daughter and it absolutely worked amazing as a water gun so if you don’t need a weed sprayer but you need a water gun. This makes a pretty good option and it holds quite a bit of water Compared to other water guns what can I say I’m a dad sometimes you have to improvise

I use this product to mist reptile enclosures, and it works perfectly! I wish the hose was just a little bit longer, but it’s easy to move around my reptile room. I used to have a one gallon sprayer, but it was awkward to get into some spaces. This one gets everywhere I need it to without disturbing my animals. Great buy!

Easy to use
I’ve got a peach tree on the property of my new house and after doing online research, realized it needed a copper fungicide. I’ve never dealt with fruit trees before, so this was a completely new process for me. I bought this sprayer and used it this past weekend for the first time. I can’t express enough how easy it was to put together and use. It wasn’t too heavy to carry around and it seemed to spray very well. For this first-timer, I can’t be more pleased.
