My cats like it, my dog likes it, and I like it !
I just received my fourth one of these small fountains – my original one is several years old and still works, but may be getting a bit feeble (or it may be that my dog is draining it faster than I realize). I am happy that my cats and dog like to use it, especially because it’s so much easier for ME to refill. When I used the little bowls, they required very frequent re-filling, and the big jugs that fill into little bowls required me to carry the heavy jug full of water and turn it over into the bowl container – I learned a long time ago that water is a lot heavier than it looks, and my ancient back asked me to find ways to reduce its workload. These fountains hold a good deal of water (during an Arizona winter, I don’t have to refill every day if I’m lucky) and on a hot Arizona day, I only have to refill the one the dog uses a couple of times. The fountains used only by the cats last for a couple of days even in the summer. I only have to pour water into the top of the fountain without having to juggle anything, and that is a good thing for a klutz like me. I haven’t had the problems with slime growing in the water, or any leaking, and the one that has a somewhat stubborn little red button can still be filled near the top without spillage because the SOUND changes as it nears full capacity. The humming (as another person mentioned) is both a reminder to me to check it for refills and a white noise sound when I’m nodding off to sleep. I like the sound of the water splashing when I’m close enough to hear it, and I love watching one of the cats paw the floor as he drinks from it (he does that from other water bowls too, but especially from the fountain). I’ve replaced one of the pumps once, but so far they seem to be more durable than many things I buy nowadays. I am a fan, and don’t want to go back to the water cooler design or even the simple bowl. Cats need to be enticed to drink more water, and I’ve found that all my cats find the water movement fascinating and like to watch it and drink from it. It took some of them a little while to make sure it wasn’t going to attack them, but even my biggest scaredy cats use it. Oh, I do leave a bowl of water out just in case of electrical failure (read about it here some time ago and was thankful because I hadn’t thought about it) so that my animals have access to water if the fountains stop working.

J’ai acheté cette fontaine car elle est l’une des moins chère sur le marché et correspondait à mon budget. L’installation est simple.La fontaine est facile à nettoyer, je passe le filtre sous l’eau une fois par semaine pour essayer de le faire durer au maximum. Les paquets de recharge de filtre ne sont pas trop chers et je ne pense pas avoir besoin d’en changer souvent.Sinon sur le côté technique, le filtre est très efficace et retient bien les éventuels poils tombés dans l’eau.Grâce à l’indicateur de niveau de l’eau on sait quand est-ce qu’il faut remplir la fontaine. (Et sinon on le sait au bruit du moteur qui s’entend un peu plus quand l’eau n’est pas à un niveau correct).Mes chats qui adorent boire l’eau au robinet l’ont adopté, l’un plus vite que l’autre mais je pense que ça dépend des chats (j’ai vu que certains mettaient presque 1 mois à l’utiliser). La plus jeune s’est tout de suite mise à boire et le plus grand préférait jouer avec l’eau qui bougeait mais au moins il l’utilisait :p Après 3 jours il a finir par boire dedans aussi. Laissez donc du temps à votre chat :)Au final, l’eau est toujours propre et fraîche et le mouvement permet de donner envie aux chats.Je retiens que cela me permet de moins avoir à changer l’eau et nettoyer la gamelle (ce que je faisais tous les jours). Maintenant je rajoute de l’eau une fois tous les 2 jours et nettoie la gamelle tous les 7-9 jours (même si visuellement cela ne semble pas utile).En bref, j’aime beaucoup cette fontaine.

Absolut empfehlenswert
Wir haben uns diesen Brunnen bereits vor ca. 2,5 – 3 Jahren angeschafft, da unsere beiden Katzen nicht so gerne aus stehendem Wasser trinken. Anfangs waren die beiden Stubentiger zwar etwas skeptisch, aber nach einer kurzen Gewöhnungsphase haben beiden sehr gerne aus dem Brunnen getrunken.Der Brunnen selbst ist einfach zusammen zubauen und aufzustellen. Da er wenig Kanten hat ist er auch einfach zu reinigen. Laut einigen Rezensionen kann man den Brunnen auch in der Geschirrspülmaschine säubern, dies habe ich jedoch noch nicht ausprobiert und ihn bisher immer mit der Hand gespült was auch problemlos und schnell erledigt ist.Der Brunnen war nach unserem Empfinden nicht besonders laut, lediglich wenn zu wenig Wasser vorhanden ist, brummt die Pumpe etwas lauter. Dies lässt sich jedoch einfach durch das Nachfüllen von Wasser beheben. Man sollte jedoch darauf achten nicht mehr Wasser als maximal bis zur roten Schwimmermarkierung hinein zuschütten, da sonst das überschüssige Wasser recht schnell unten aus dem Brunnen wieder heraus läuft.Obwohl wir den Filter ca. 1 x im Monat gesäubert und jedes Quartal ausgetauscht haben, wurde das Brummen der Pumpe nach ca. 2,5 – 3 Jahren doch relativ laut. Es stellte sich raus, dass die Pumpe defekt war und ausgetauscht werden müsste. Da jedoch eine neue Pumpe schon knapp 15 Euro gekostet hätte, haben wir uns zum Kauf eines neuen Brunnens entschlossen. Um eine erneute Überbelastung der Pumpe zu vermeiden, haben wir uns zu dem neuen Brunnen noch zusätzlich eine Steckdose mit Bewegungssensor gekauft, so springt der Brunnen nur an sobald sich eine der Katzen nähert. Auch der zweite Brunnen wurde samt Bewegungssensor gut angenommen. Auch wenn wir noch zusätzlich einen Wassernapf im unteren Stockwerk stehen haben, wird der Brunnen wesentlich besser angenommen und ist immer leerer als der Napf. Ich kann daher nur eine klare Kaufempfehlung aussprechen und vergebe 5 Sterne, da hier das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für 22 Euro absolut stimmig ist.

Fontanella piccola e pratica
Arrivata nei tempi stabiliti ben sigillata.È piccola e molto silenziosa. Il fatto che sia piccola comporta il dover aggiungere acqua ogni 3 giorni circa comunque ogni volta che inizia a essere rumorosa.Il filtro permette di avere l’acqua sempre pulita e i miei gatti non hanno avuto problemi di adattamento alla nuova fontanella. Ottimo acquisto.

Really love the update!
This is our 2nd Catit Small Drinking Fountain – after several years the power adapter on our old one broke and I didn’t want to try to fix it. This one is just like the other one we liked so much, except this one has a different motor and power connector. The motor is smaller, quieter, and doesn’t generate as much heat. The motor also plugs in via USB to an included USB/AC adapter and the plug generates no heat — the last one generated enough heat that over the years it has darkened the outlet it was plugged into, and we always worried about forgetting and leaving it plugged in overnight in case it overheated. Really happy with the new version!

No more splashing or dirty water
I have two cats. Yvonne loves to play with water. She’ll drop a toy in the toilet and play a game of trying to fish it out. The water dish was always a mess. She would drop food or a toy in it and then dip her paws in it. Sometimes she’d go to the litter box and get litter all over her wet paws so she’d come back to the water dish to wash her paws. I wake up in the morning or come home from work and find water all over the kitchen floor and a filthy water dish. Ugh!I bought the Catit Drinking Fountain on a whim. I needed a few more dollars on my order to allow for free shipping so I added it to my order. I honestly didn’t think it would work for us but I was surprpised. I set it up while Yvonne sat and watched several feet away. Once it started up she walked up to it, at first out of curiousity and then lo and behold she started drinking. My other cat Madeleine started using it too.I empty and rinse out the filter each weekend. So far I haven’t found anything but water. The only downside would be that you need to plug it into an outlet. That wasn’t a problem for me. It is convenient that when its time to clean it, you can unplug the cord from the little doo-hickey that plugs into the outlet. There’s a little red “bobber thingy” to help measure the water level. If you see it, you are fine. I keep a little plastic measuring cup on the windowsill. I use it to refill the fountain when I can’t see the little read boobber thingy–usually in the morning and evening during feeding time.Over all my cats and I give this a thumbs up!

Der beste Trinkbrunnen, den ich habe
Man unterschätzt gerne den Reinigungsaufwand, der mit Brunnen verbunden ist – mindestens einmal die Woche sollte Pflicht sein, sonst bildet sich ein unschöner Belag in jedem Brunnen. Da unser alterndes Katzentier mittlerweile recht viel trinkt, hab ich inzwischen drei Brunnen an verschiedenen Stellen aufgestellt. Den hier finde ich (und der Kater) am besten, allein schon weil er am schnellsten zu befüllen, am einfachsten zu reinigen und vor allem am leisesten ist.Bei den anderen ist das Auseinanderbauen und Reinigen immer eine größere Aktion – hier nimmt man nur den Deckel ab, entfernt den Kohlefilter und seinen Halter, dann spült man alles gründlich durch und trocknet ab, fertig. Wenn man das komplette Ding in die Spülmaschine stellen will (geht auch problemlos), muß man noch die Schlauchabdeckung seitlich abmachen, aber das ist auch kein großes Problem. Keine großartigen Kleinteile, Schläuche, Ecken usw.Auch die Wasserstandsanzeige ist sehr praktisch, obwohl man auch am veränderten Geräusch hört, wenn das Wasser aufgefüllt werden muß. Ansonsten hört man die Pumpe nämlich überhaupt nicht. Und der tägliche Wasserwechsel ist ganz einfach: auskippen, neu befüllen, hinstellen. Kein Reservoir, kein Auseinanderbauen oder sonstiges Gefummele.

Sticky float, otherwise great fountain!
My cats love it. This is my fourth one (the pumps wear out after about 2 years of constant use and a replacement pump costs almost as much as a whole new fountain so I’ve just replaced the entire thing each time). My only issue with the fountain this time round is that the little red float that tells you when the fountain is filled was stuck and not rising like it should. It eventually became unstuck, however, and now works fine. The red float is the entire reason I choose this fountain over the cheaper version which doesn’t have it.One of my cats likes to dip her paw in the fountain and then lick it. (see photo) Cracks me up.

must clean the filter pump on a regular basis otherwise it can be an annoying sound
Overall my cat actually enjoys playing in this also. He thinks something is inside and constantly trying to get into it. He can be quite entertaining if you’re bored. But he also like to drink from it too. He would give it a 5 star but he doesn’t have to clean up the mess or the unit occasionally.
