The printers keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi
Quite unreliable printer. When it works, it’s OK, but it often disconnects from the Wi-Fi and is seen as “offline” from the devices. Avoid it.

Good value for money, easy to install, and decent quality. The mobile app can be a pain though.
The printer installation is easy and straightforward. But the mobile app can be a real pain as it interferes with opening all documents on the phone.

Very easy to set up
Setting up a new printer to with with your existing router and laptop can be a nightmare, but not in this case. Just follow the link to the Canon tech site and it guides you through step by step. It’s incredibly easy and I was up and running in less than 15 minutes. The printer instantly connected with my home broadband without any issue. There are cheaper Canon models (my son bought one and set up was not easy) but you get what you pay for. Print and scan quality were excellent as expected, but the set up for this model justified the price to me.

Disappointed with Canon
ought this canon printer to replace last one. So disappointed, managed to set it up after many hours. Couldn’t see panel for instructions had to use a torch!!! Very flimsy paper tray, kept jamming up and wouldn’t print properly. So disappointed, so sent it back. Always used Canon but this has put me off, wouldn’t advise to buy this model.

I just started using it but installation wise it will be very suitable for the one who dreads complicated installation -just get a video from You tube and it will be easy —printer Manuals take too much time so I didn’t bother opening them Hope this helps

Ink is not accepted in printer
We bought this printer only to find that the ink recommended by Amazon is not accepted by the printer. It fits the machine but is not recognised. Amazon in an effort to boost sales don’t seem to care if the product supposedly for this machine works or not provided they get a sale. Very poor.

It does not print out of box 🙂
I installed it and did everything according to the instructions. I printed out the first test page offered by the installer. After that I couldn’t print anything else because when you send something it goes offline, I couldn’t scan it either because it can’t connect, although the system sees it and shows that everything is fine))) brilliant device, I’ve been struggling for more than an hour to print 1 page, but it’s all in vain)))I use Macbook Air M2. Thank you Canon wasted time, money and a lot of nerves! How to return it? Because I can’t use it!

Does not Dual scan!!
I bought this on the basis it could dual scan! However it can not! You have to manually flip each peice of paper and manually put the documents together to get a full document.

Paper Jam everytime
Took a while to connect – if your old printer was a Canon, you have to uninstall all the drivers from your PC. they don’t mention this in the manual! Once I got connected, the next problem was paper jams. First one I had to remove form the back, after that every piece of paper got stuck on the infeed. 2 days I tried everything – reading the manual you’d think paper jams were only caused by using old or crumpled paper (i.e the customers fault). I think this is a fault so its going back. Not one page printed.

Cracking home office printer!
Replacement for another brand (hp) which I usually go for! This is a great quality printer, looks to be well put together, was straight forward to install, cartridges appear to be good value also, I had no problem adding it to my wireless network, the only slight niggle, would be the display needs to be looked at directly, wouldn’t put me off though, all in all a fab quality all in one machine, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

Easy setup printer lots of ++ to buy this printer
I replace a HP WiFi printer with this printer this is way ahead of other printers easy to install, scanning is superbe. Another plus is that is duplex printing. Prints on both sides of the paper. You will be tasked to find any issues with the printer.

I wasnt that easy!
I ordered this and was totally disappointed in the fact it came with instruction in every other language rather than english. Come on Amazon get your act together.I had to go on utube to get the instructions. I’m not the most savvy with printers. Still can’t get it to work with my older laptops. And after 2 days of trying I was ready to hurl it out of the window. So I purchased a new laptop and the printer works a treat. The printer is a good quality, works off my phone too.It probably is easy to install, would of helped with instructions in English but hey ho!

Early Days, Good Feeling
I must admit to being a little anxious of buying a new printer after reading the mix of reviews available. I have had my old Canon four years and after some problems with ink useage in the early days, they have been four years problem free. So I decided on another Canon, but cheaper model. So far I am very happy with my purchase. The printer was well packed and protected from accidental damage. The set up for printing was extremely easy, scanning less so, but manageable with a bit of between the lines reading. It is early days yet, but hopefully ink useage will be tolerable.

Very tricky and time consuming to install via Wifi
It was tricky and time-consuming to install. I’m only a very successful businessman without a degree. Why on earth cannot Canon just give you instructions on the simple method via a USB cable I just do not know. I had the cable from my last printer. So if you have over two hours to waste setting up the Wi-fi fine, but I haven’t so it leaves me with bad feelings about selecting a Canon printer. Canon management please note!

good buy
i’d had an earlier model of this printer that gave me many years of faithful service – i do a lot of bulk printing for a newsletter so it got alot of heavy duty until it finally ‘gave up the ghost’ i went originall for a different cheaper model, TS3350 which proved to be a very bad buy. The TR has a front paper tray whereas the TS had a back tray where the paper feed was vertical. The horizontal feed of the TR and it’s predecessor were very good where as the TS often fed multiple sheets or skipped the top margins – wont by that model again but the TR i will – funds per permitting – continue to try to buy whatever edition number they have got to when this one eventually ‘dies

Waste of money | prints on the same page
The media could not be loaded.
When printing, it prints a page but instead of outputting it, it pulls the paper back all in. Then prints on the same page again. Sometimes when this page is pulled back in, it gets stuck. When I need to scan something, with no paper in the input or output tray and with no paper jammed inside the printer, scanning fails with paper jammed problems. I have returned one already and got a 2nd printer thinking that the first one could be faulty. But the second has the same problem.

It works, scans, copies and prints. But
What a blasted hassle trying to get it installed on my PC and tablet. No manual, just a slip of paper with a QR code that didn’t work.I had to manually internet search for the installation software by the make and model number.OK, the software once I had it worked very well, about the only glitch was in initiailly connecting to my network which it didn’t like. 2nd attempt and it said OK, I’ll connect. It’s basic with a basic display that isn’t very clear from anything but straight on. But it does do what I want it to do,Would I like a few extra bells and whistles? A better display would be nice, that’s it.

Does what it should.
My only gripe, and it’s my fault for choosing it, is that the colour inks are in a single cartridge thus one may use a lot of one colour and when that’s gone a new cartridge has to be bought though plenty of the other colours might remain.

Worst scanner software I ever used
The printer is every bit cheap and nasty as I expected. Fine, it’s a budget printer/scanner.But the scanner is virtually unusable as it has the temerity to decide the scanning area, (which you can not over-ride) and chops bits off the scan. For anything on white paper, smaller than the scan area – forget it.If hadn’t already thrown out the packaging it would be on its way back to Amazon

Easy to install
Bought this to replace my very old Canon printer which would not connect wirelessly now that I’ve got full fibre . This one seemed to be a good replacement and a very reasonable price too. It arrived the next day and although it was a bit of a puzzle at first to understand how to load the cartridges, once I’d mastered that the next phase was easy. The bit I was most anxious about was connecting to my new fast fibre Wi-Fi. I need not have worried, as soon as my phone recognised the printer it connected to the router immediately after entering the password. The printing is just as good as the old more expensive Canon it has replaced and it prints fast enough for anything I need. I really like how the paper tray can be folded away leaving a neat little box sitting on my desk.

Good value
Considering the price, the results are amazingly good. I bought this as a ‘stop-gap’ until I could decide on a more expensive A-I-O printer believing that ‘you get what you pay for’. However I am very pleasantly surprised with this product and will keep it longer than originally expected. It would have been helpful to be able to contact Cannon by phone to help with the setting up of the scan to e-mail facility without having to get outside help, otherwise – so far so good!

Could not get it working and ink subscription didn’t work either
Even though I work in IT I failed to get this printer working reliably. It seems to randomly reset itself and need configuration from scratch. The ink subscription service didn’t work and I wasted hours in a “you need to subscribe” but “you’re already subscribed” loop.I’ve given up and returned the printer to Amazon.**********Thinking more about this I believe a printer for home use should just plug in, scan for a WiFi connection and then work. This printer and Canon’s ink subscription in general doesn’t appear to support this simple philosophy.

It’s not as bad as everyone described
There were no instructions but a QR code.QR code works, the catch is: once you open the link, there are two (2) stages available on the main page. You need to CLICK on the second step in order to open further instructions how to download software to computer/phone.It is super easy to choose and download software.Whilst you an installing/downloading software, connect your printer to WIFI.The catch is, on dial pad use *(to change capital/small/numbers) and # (to change characters and special symbols). If you want it, you can download from Apple Store or Android store: Canon Print. It will take you through steps of set up.But remember in order to work, you need to:1) in settings permit the app to use location2) connect your printer to WIFI (MUST MUST)I was dreading when I read everyone’s comments as I purchased it before I’ve familiarised myself with comments, but it’s actually working and touch wood, no issues. One problem though, I’m using Mac, Android and iPhone, they work fine for me.I’ve tried to connect windows computer to printer and failed. It could be that too many devices cannot be supported all at once.I’ll have to try again and see if it will work.

Easy to use
Very easy to set up and use and unlike the printer I had previously it doesn’t force you to link to the internet before you can print anything even after the initial setup. I haven’t tried printing any photos yet but for general printing and scanning it’s great. If I have anything negative to say it’s regarding the feeder / output trays which seem to be a bit flimsy but that has been the case with every printer I have owned. Unless you are going to be very heavy handed with them it shouldn’t be an issue.

What a joke
By looking at the pictures and description of this printer one would have expected it not to have any paper on display and attract dust the printer paper and the grey of the printed holder tray is an eyesore.I was trying to emulate/replace my HP 4658 model purely because they messed up my Ink supplies, however that could probably be forgiven if this crap is the alternative.

Don’t buy canon MF printers
Canon have programmed their multifunction printer to stop scanning and other functions if the ink levels are low. No where have they advertised that the functionality of the scanner depends on having to keep purchasing their inks…There are a couple of litigations going on against them in the US at the moment for this predatory approach. BEST AVOIDED

It’s a paper shredder!
The media could not be loaded.
The installation was quite ok but you have to guess some steps like it’s not enough to turn your wifi on, you need to connect it to the printer and it doesn’t tell you.But the biggest issue is once it’s on… I try to print and… Paper jam. Every. Single. Time. It doesn’t print, it destroys paper sheet. See video attached.
