First rate printer, good value
Fooled myself into thinking this was wireless, it’s not, you need to plug it directly into your PC and it DOESN’T come with a connecting cable, so you’ll need one of those as well (a-b size usb). Aside from those caveats, this is a cracking wee printer, giving sharp images in speedy fashion. The scanner is a nice bonus, I was delighted to find it caught all the colours of my watercolour work very well. Great value, recommended

Cheap BUT price of ink cartridges are very expensive!
I liked this worked from a USB cable. I was always losing connection with wi-fi! Set up was easy via the supplied CD. As usual with other makes of printers, the cost of the printer was reasonable BUT the price of replacement ink cartridges was eyewatering! One big negative for this printer was, it wouldn’t print A4 gloss photo paper but some silly smaller sizes. I like to print photos 4 to a sheet of A4. Still, with the extreme cost of the ink, it is better to send your photos to a print processing company like Snapfish.All-in-all, this printer is fine if you only print letters/articles in black ink!

good value but for photos look elsewhere
This is the second one of this model I have purchased. Good for the price but the usual story with inks costing as much or more than the machine.

Missing a crucial connecting wire
Printer powers on brilliantly, set up was okay however they do not include a wire that connects the printer to the p.c and there is no indicator for wireless connection. So i would carefully read everything before buying and make sure that you have the necessary connecting wire before buying to avoid disappointment.

There is no black and white option for the MacOS printer driver
I like this one having low cost and delivery quickly. What I do not like is that I can not print to black and white by selecting the printing option. I have to use preview in MacOS to convert to grey scale and print.

low spec printer
I wanted a simple printer to replace my old Canon MG2450 that’s just died. I don’t do much printing or copying but it’s useful to have it in the corner when needed. It’s cheap, slow and quite loud but adequate for my needs and I can use the ink cartridges from my old machine. I installed using the disc supplied. If you want better than low spec don’t buy this.

Value for money
Very nice printer for the price easy to install by CD provided. Did not know it came with inks so bought some at the same time but they will still be used. The menu looked a bit dauning at dirst but once you navigate it there is a basic for everyday printing without the bells and whistles that seem to come with everything nowadays

A really good basic printer/copier/scanner that’s easy to setup and use. We had one of these before and it lasted five years. If this one does as well then it’s a bargain.

Not easy to set up
Didn’t like having to download printer app. Had to pay for app that worked. Set up using cd no use if no computer or laptop.Canon app absolutely no use in setting up. Thank god for u tube. Thought a wired one be easier than WiFi printer but not the case. Is okay now it’s working, does the job but hassle to find app to use with it.Would not buy a printer like this again. Luckily it was a good price and don’t need one often but wi fi definitely better.

Brilliant little printer
I ordered this when my old printer broke down in the middle of a time-sensitive legal case. It arrived early, if it hadn’t I would now have lost my house. I’m in my 70s but with the help of this brilliant machine I was able to install it and learn how to scan and upload documents quickly enough to save the day. With only hours to spare. Thank you so much.

I thought this was a bluetooth/wifi/wireless printer. IT’S NOT!!! You must buy a USB separately!!!
I ordered this printer on the Sunday as I was in desperate need of a printer for work. I ordered it prime and it didn’t come until Tuesday. A little frustrating.Visually smart looking printer. Great that it comes with ink. But it doesn’t come with a USB connection lead which it needs. Luckily my old canon printer (which broke Sunday) had a USB cable that worked with this new canon printer. But it took me an hour to figure that it needed a cable, as I believed that the new printer was wireless from the advertisement on amazon. A little frustrating. I Hope you read this part when you buy the printer.Otherwise so far all I’ve used is the printer features and I can say it does a great quality print.

Outdated Product. Can not use straight out the box
Firstly, you open the box, and can tell how old this product is by the fact it has an installation CD, who has a CD-ROM drive on their PC or laptop nowadays? But there is a website to be able to download the drivers. So I worked my way through the setup guide, installed the ink, and downloaded the software. Installation stalled, so had to restart. Again an indicator of how out of date this product is is when it gives you options for XPS, with Windows VISTA and XP. Anyway, I get the setup started again., to the point where it tells me to connect the printer to my laptop cool, no problem. OH HANG ON THERE IS NO CABLE to be able to connect the printer to my laptop. SO THIS PRODUCT IS USELESS. I either buy a cable myself or return the product. Why is such an out-of-date product being sold still?

Good clear photos and documents
This is a great basic printer for anyone not wanting internet connection simple to set up even I found it easy to connect to my desktop computer up and running a few minutes. It is recommended to be used with original ink cartridges but I have been using ink cartridges from Amazoln which are non original brands and work perfectly and saves you a fortune in ink costs. Be aware that these inks will not display there levels but you can work it out by results. Great home office basic printer budget price, no concerns from here. Would recommend if no internet connection is required.Customer Tref

Not the usual Canon standard
I have used other Canon printers and they have been of an excellent high standard, my A3 version is superb and the associated instruction info easy to understand. But, this one seems to lack some function and information essentials. The instruction document is not concise and simple in its preparation which makes it difficult to follow. There are indicators on top of the printer/scanner that could be easily defined. The otherproblem, which so far is unsolved, is the really loud noise it makes when the paper is feeding through. And, of course the high cost of the ink cartridges. This could damage the high reputation of Canon excellence.

The printer works fine.
The printer does the job, but there was no usb cable to connect the printer to the computer. A basic necessity I would have thought. Luckily we were able to use the cable from our old printer.

Excellent for the price!
Bought this mainly for printing shipping labels and it does an excellent job. Had a little bit of drama installing drivers as I had to do it manually as my pc was having issues detecting the printer, could just be my pc…Only negative I have really is that mine didn’t ship with a printer – USB cable. so I had to spend an extra £3 and get one delivered before I could use it. ( Mine was “used” but like new condition) so may have been taken out at some point.

ok for home, I didn’t notice not WIFI compatible need to buy extra usb plug from back of printer into laptop.Would recommend spending a little extra for a wifi compatible printer then much easier just to ADD rather than going to a retailer to buy the extras.

Great little printer for simple jobs.I print black n white invoices and a few letters. Simply plug in, run the CD and it’s done.No worrying about wi fi ( which is notoriously unreliable with printers). Don’t forget to buy the cable separately.Great little printer with good ink usage.Recommended.

Bought as cheap printer to tide me over, it does the job perfectly
When my old Canon iP4300 finally gave up, I was in a bit of a dilemma because I was in process of having a new computer set up for me ( I am NO techie) and was uncertain about the transferability of certain specialist software. So I decided to buy a printer that would at least work with my old computer in case the software was too old to transfer. In the event it proved to be but the new printer works with both machines, and I really like it. It is a bit noisy but has responded well to an anti-vibration mat. The speed of the printing process is slower than that of my old printer and the instructions advise that it will do a maximum of 21 sheets at any one time. But all this is perfectly fine for my usage, and the print quality is very good. I don’t know how easy it is to install but I assume it is very easy because it took the technician less than five minutes to get it from box to working. Considering I paid significantly less for this printer than I paid for my old iP4300 in 2009, it is great value. It may not last 12 years but for now it is doing exactly what I need it to do.The delivery was very speedy. It arrived days before the due date.

Connecting USB cable not supplied
Unable to test out the printer yet, as now need to wait for a USB cable to arrive. No issues with a basic printer/scanner, you get what you pay for. However it needs to be clearer in the title that no USB cable is supplied. Or for a cable to be in the “suggested to also buy” section rather than ink (which also came with the printer – but this does not appear to be listed in the “what’s in the box” section.)

Good basic printer but a bit misleading
Good basic printer, but there are a couple of things I wish I knew before buying.- It connects to your laptop via USB cable – this is NOT supplied in the box so you will need to purchase it separately.- It doesn’t print double-sided.- When you have multiple sheets of paper in the tray, it will often try to feed multiple sheets at once when printing. I haven’t found a solution to this yet.Does the job but realistically you can probably get a better product with more functionality for around the same price (or a little more, but it’d be worth paying it).

I bought this one because I still have some ink cartridges from the similar one that went wrong.
This is the second one I have. The first, not having printed that many pages one day showed a flashing light. The problem apparently is in the electric supply cable or box and although there was nothing else wrong with it, it wont print. I guess the cost to take to a repairer is higher than paying for a new one to replace it. That’s the sunny side, it’s inexpensive. If it prints, that is.

So i bought this printer because it is cost effective. It is a good basic printer, but it lacks one very important feature.IT DOES NOT COME WITH A CONNECTION CORD FOR YOUR LAPTOP/DEVICE.DO NOT BUY IF YOU NEED TO PRINT SOMETHING QUICK/SAME DAY.otherwise, if you can look past that, buy it because its cheap and does the job…when youve bought a connection cord…
