Summer loven, had me a blast
The smell is subtle, pleasant, and long lasting. Bar does not last as long as some of their other bars. But your skin feels clean, and not dry. It is great for the summer, I’m outdoors a lot and I just feel refreshed after using this. But come fall I’m going back to their more solid bars (no color stripe) but oh those summer nights

Nice soap but still just soap
Bought this after all the good reviews but honestly don’t know what all the fuss is about. Smells nice enough but it still has that dry feeling of soap. Don’t recommend it at all due to the extortionate price and average performance.

Feels nice and smooth
Have been using it for about a week now. Feels nice and smooth, helps keep your skin soft. However, the purple stripe was not nearly as pronounced as on the box, and I felt like the scent was rather mild. It was mostly dominated by the smell of the white portion of the bar, which smells faintly like a Dove bar. I will try the other scents.

Amazing product
Using body wash soap my whole life I had no idea what I was missing. This stuff smells amazing and actually leaves your skin feeling very soft. The shampoo they make is also incredible. If you complain or worry about spending twenty dollars on a bar of soap, you probably shouldn’t be buying a twenty dollar bar of soap. However if you can afford it it’s well worth the money. The green version smells weird so stick with the orange.

Was very drying for me
First let me mention that I’m a woman. Lately I’ve been testing men’s bar soaps and body washes because 1. Some have interesting fragrances that I enjoy, and 2. I wanted to see if gender specific soap truly made any real difference according to who used it.The size of the bar was big, lasted about 2 weeks with generous showers.The smell is nice but subtle, not overpowering and doesn’t last on your skin past your time in the shower.It has a great lather and doesn’t take long to work up.It was severely drying for me. I don’t know if it’s because it’s “made for men” and perhaps was too harsh for my delicate feminine skin. But it was one of the most drying bars I ever used. I used it until it was done because well, $19.00! Was not letting that go to waste.I enjoyed my time in the shower. The lather and smell made it enjoyable. Would not purchase for myself again because of the drying factor, but perhaps it’s more moisturizing for it’s intended group. I’d recommend for a guy friend or family member.

This soap smells great. I wanted to get away from liquid body wash. I am glad that I went with this soap. It smells elevated and it long lasting, both on your skin as well as how long the bar itself lasts. I highly recommend and especially during the hotter months. It doesn’t smell like any of fragrance that I have smelled before. You need to try this soap. It smells amazing.

I feel scammed
This soap bar is like a roller coaster ride gone bad. It was amazing in the beginning, the smell was heavenly. Unfortunately, I soon realized the essence bar/strip only covers the surface of the bar. I’m halfway in and the essence is gone, the smell is gone. I’m left with a big white soap bar with generic smell. It’s surprising how companies cut corner and still manage to price something in the luxury range. Baxter just lost a customer that almost converted. Hit up your local soap store, you’re better off that way than this garbage.

A great smelling soap that leaves me feeling clean.
What a great scent! It actually is strong enough that if I close my bathroom door and walk in you can smell the soap. I feel super clean after using and the scent lasts about half an hour on me before it disappears. Gets a very nice lather and seems to last a long time. Will be purchasing again in the future.

Great scent, amazing lather, wish it was an ounce bigger
I initially bought the shower gel version of this soap but was disappointed with the lack of lather it produced, though the smell was amazing and lasted for several hours. So I went and bit the bullet and bought the bar soap version. The lather of the bar soap is unreal and the scent is amazing. However, the scent doesn’t last as long on the body compared to the shower gel, so it’s a trade off. At the end of the day I prefer the bar soap version. Though the scent doesn’t linger as long, the foaming action is ridiculously good and that for me is important.The price point does make me wince, but a good soap is one of my few indulgences. If they could add an ounce to the bar and make it 8 oz like those large L’Occitane bars, I’d be a much happier camper.

Good lather; above average longevity; overpriced
Tried this bar on a GQ article in 2017 recommending it. Alas, it is way overpriced and should be closer to $10-12/bar. The scent is mild/pleasant and the GF loves it immediately after showering, but it’s not very strong nor especially long lasting. While it soaps up easily, the lather itself is modest. After 3 weeks, the bar is half gone, so that is good. But it is also starting to show “wrinkles” or shriveling along the sides. I hope it doesn’t split or chip. All in all, there are other moisturizing, and better scent-infused soaps for me.

Forget about this bar of soap. It reminds me of Palmolive. Tolerable smell, adequate lather. A good $3.00 bar of soap. This is pathetic.

Wish the bar scent would last longer as it is very refreshing.
I have used all the Baxter Bar soaps and this is perhaps my favorite scent. First off when you open and take out of the box your bathroom will have the greatest scent ever and you hope that it transfers over to your skin with use. Sadly the scent goes away after a few uses but I still feel super clean and it is not rough on my skin. I prefer this soap to Jack Black, Anthony’s and Kiel which are all soaps I have purchased on a regular basis.

Many of the comments and questions are about the price, so let’s clear that up. Yes, you’re paying $16 for a single bar of soap. What does that get you? Well, this bar lasted me (me being a single and larger-than-average, 6’1″ man) 3.5 months, due to its exceptional lather, showering each morning (110 days, 110 showers, 110 uses, so that’s $0.15 per use). The lather, the fragrance, the crisp squeaky clean feeling, and just the right amount of moisturizing, make this a true luxury soap. To each their own, but I’ll pay 15 cents for that, again and again. 5 stars.

Nice soap, expensive
Really like this soap…smells great, lathers nice and looks like a creamsicle (ok the latter really has no bearing on anything). I took off a star because of the price…you can buy a dozen or more other bar soaps for the same price. Not sure the premium is worth it…it is just soap after all and nothing magical. I’m all for splurging on things if worth but this isn’t one of them. If it was half the price I’d be in for recurring purchase.

I never review anything but, if your looking through trying to find a good bar soap that wont leave your skin feeling dry, try this one. Although it smells ok, i would continue to buy this because it does not dry my skin out.

Very nice scent, lathers well.
This is a very nice soap.It produces a good lather, and has a very nice, masculine scent.It seems to clean well.The bar looks high end.It is relatively expensive, but am hoping it will last longer than a bottle of equivalent shower gel (eg. Molton Brown). It is certainly more environmentally friendly with less plastic (if that floats your boat).The scent lasts for about an hour, so not particularly long.Overall would recommend, as long as you are happy to pay the price for premium products.Works best if rubbed directly on the skin rather than lathered in the hand.Update 26/11/22. This bar has lasted just under a month. I’m not sure this represents good value for the cost. Also as it gets thin it will either bend of break into smaller bits, which are annoying to hold or just go down the drain.Also beware that as with all soap bars it leaves a lot of marks (soap scum) on shower doors, walls etc.Also, like all soaps it strips the oil from the skin, and is drying compared to shower gels. For this reason I am going to mark down two stars.

Well we can all agree that this bar soap is very expensive however let me tell you that the quality is definitely Superior and this is the best bar soap I ever had. The smell is amazing and it actually lasts on your skin for a while, sometimes I can still smell it 5 minutes after I wash my hands. what I consider most important is that it doesn’t leave your skin dry like it usually happens with bar soaps. I live by myself and one bar soap will last me at least for one month because I usually don’t use a lot I just use it on a sponge and this is my body wash. Please consider migrating from a liquid soap to a bar soap because it really helps in reducing plastic.

This is awesome soap, but whoever said this soap lasts for >3 months doesn’t know how to tell time. Lathers great, smells great, but just understand you are buying a 2 week bar of soap for $18.

Nice Soap
So, I will start off by saying I like this soap. Doesn’t leave me feeling dry or with that “squeaky clean” feel (though I kind of like sometimes). Moisturizes good, lathers fine & has an OK smell. It’s not horrible by any means, but it’s not overly great ether. I read somewhere a person saying it smells like Palm Olive lol. I get where the person is coming from, but no it doesn’t exactly smell like that. If you’re looking for a “fresh wake-up” smell, this is not it. But again, it’s a nice soap & would buy again but the price point is high.

Smells great, and cleans
I finally got through my bar that I purchased weeks ago. First the smell is nice not “flowery”, or “rugged” its a good balance. Considering the price in relation to OTC bars of soap this soap I feel is a good value, it has lasted for a couple of weeks, and I shower more than once a week. Lastly, that orange stripe looks great, so in all, smells good, lasts long and looks good.

Best soap I have ever used. I have had itchy legs for years, especially in the fall and winter. Tried lots of soaps and moisturizers. None worked. Until I tried Baxter and the itching went away. Just received my 2nd bar and will be ordering more in the future. Well worth the money!

Worth every penny!
Seriously, who pays this much for one bar of soap? After a continuous struggle with dry skin and hating the feeling of heavy lotions, the reviews on this soap from reputable sources and customers alike made it an obvious choice. First off, it smells wonderful. Even after showering, the scent remains on me. (My Shih-Tzu even noticed it.) The feeling after rinsing is somewhere between Dove, which leaves my skin feeling very smooth, and Dr. Bronners, which removes every trace of body oil and leaves my skin feeling very dry. It’s a very dense soap, which I feel comfortable saying makes up for the cost. I expect it to last far beyond that of a standard bar. All in all, I expect to make this my daily soap.

One of my fav bar Soap!! BUT?!?
The smell is 😍 wow! It cleans your skin and leaves your skin feeling smooooooth. Even feel better about an hour after you fully dry off. Sadly I only treat myself to a couple bars a year due to the high price. If it was at a better price it be in my shower and sink year round instead of a few weeks.. even with the high price, you should treat yourself!

the big bar has an amazing smell. But think of this soap as lotion …
Yes, the big bar has an amazing smell. But think of this soap as lotion in a block rather than TV soap where you grab it and swipe it over and over and over (while smiling blissfully). Stand out of direct water contact and get the bar wet. Take it for one run up and down each arm and leg then one or two for the front and back. I keep the residue that is left in my hands for face and neck. Then I take the loofah and scrub. When the water washes the soap off, your skin will feel amazing clean. It is not striped of moisture, but just free from oil and build up. This is worth every penny.

Sampler Bar better than Large Bar!
While I was hesitant to spend this much on a bar of soap I fell in love with the mini-bar in the Amazon luxury sampler.Pros:-Absolutely amazing scent.-Really neat modern appearance with the bright glycerol stripe.-Large bar but small enough to be comfortable turning end over end in hands while lathering-The white part is very similar to Ivory as another reviewer mentioned. Easy on the skin, lathers well and feels silky smooth. Washes off nicely and leaves a clean but slightly cologne and citrus scent.Cons:-I was actually disappointed in the large bar compared with the sampler bar. In the sampler bar, the glycerol band is a good 20-30% of the bar. A solid band in the middle of good thickness and solid throughout. In the large bar you feel cheated on the glycerol layer. The orange stripe is maybe 10% of the overall area and has impingement of the ivory white throughout the middle.The perfect example is looking at the product artwork. Compare the orange band on the box design vs the actual soap picture. It’s like seeing a picture of a Big Mac vs. actually looking at the one you ordered.I still love the soap I just wish I could buy multi-packs of the sampler instead!

20 bucks is ridiculous, but it’s good
Doesn’t cause dry skin, and seems to be good for the whole family. At 12 bucks, it would be fine, 20 is wayyyy too much though. The size is reasonable, I have medium hands and I don’t drop it all of the time.

One of the best soaps I’ve used
I have been on a scavenger hunt lately looking for a go to bar soap. I’ve used all of the soaps you would find at the retail stores. I have sensitive skin and I feel most of the soaps I’ve used don’t lather well and really dry your skin out.I have been buying a ton of soap online to try out and find one that works well for me. Needless to say, I’ve spent a lot of money on this journey. I will say this soap is expensive. But, it has been my favorite to date. The scent is nice and not overpowering. It lathers excellent and leaves your skin moisturized. It rinses off very well. The bar is fairly large and even though it lathers well, I think the bar will last a while. I’m very pleased with it and it is now my new favorite. Finally something that fits me perfect!

Great soap – for me or guy friends
I have purchased this soap (and other products by this brand) several times for myself and male fiends and always get rave reviews. I am a female and like that it has a light fresh citrus scent with with musk undertones, it’s moisturizing and it doesn’t dry out my skin.
